I’ve been going to Hill Country since it opened. Always a good experience. The service staff understands that repairs can be expensive they will off discounts if possible. Very knowledgeable of different car issues, not pushy at all, ensures the customer is comfortable with the cost and will price match parts. Also they have loaners for those long service visits, if loaners are unavailable will offer a ride.

Was welcomed by a service associate immediately while he held the door open for me. Had an appt for a courtesy diagnostic to be done to determine the issue with my 2004 Honda Civic. After the problem was determined I was given the information along with what the cost would be for the repair. The work was completed in a timely manner and for less than the estimate that I had been given. The problem was repaired and I was on with the rest of my day. The every member of the Sterling McCall Honda Service department that I spoke with was professional and courteous. Thank you for a positive experience!!

This is my second vehicle purchased from Vroom in the last 12 months, and I can't imagine ever buying a used car from a brick-and-mortar dealership again. Vroom offers a terrific selection of late model used vehicles. The pictures really make it easy to know what the car looks like. I purchased a 2015 BMW 5-series, and the Vroom price compared to a similar make/model/mileage vehicle from CarMax was $3,000+ cheaper. I selected my vehicle over a few weeks of looking at photos. I filled out a credit application online, and they immediately called me to finalize the app, discuss rates and payments, and to get my $500 deposit. I received a loan package via FedEx 2 days later, signed all the paperwork, and sent it back in the pre-paid FedEx envelope they provided. About 3 days later, I started getting emails to schedule delivery. The process only took 9 business days from the moment I made the deposit to the moment I got my vehicle. Tuesday 10/4/16 driving down the road and heard a noise, thinking it was a vehicle around me, then the car was no longer around me and my car was still "singing". Thank goodness I was on Jefferson Ave in front of Casey Chevrolet! This is where I also purchased my vehicle! I pulled straight into the service bay and Jeff was there (my regular man Richard was having lunch) as I got out of the car Jeff said "don't look so stressed". I said that it didn't sound good and he said no it doesn't but we will take care of it for you! Signed my car in picked up a loaner and I was back on the road in 15 minutes!!! Yes 15 minutes!! I received a call the next day with the results (thank goodness for warranty). I picked my vehicle up no cost (warranty, warranty). Dropped off the loaner and out the door I went. Thank goodness for caring folks to look out for their customers. I will recommend them if asked for a reliable service team for a vehicle. THANK YOU JEFF and service techs for taking care of my baby.

I am a car enthusiast! I spend way too much on cars ??? but I work 24/7 and it???s my only hobby. This review will be a bit on the long side, simply because I have so much to say about my experience with Vroom. My wife gets frustrated with me because I talk so often about how amazed I am with Vroom in every aspect! I bought my first car in 1968. Back then I couldn???t afford much, but since about 1979 I???ve purchased some very cool cars. I even bought a brand new Rolls Royce back in 1985. I???ve owned: exactly 10 Mercedes, Jaguar, Ferrari, Audi R8, BMW, Range Rover and several others. So when it comes to dealing with car dealerships, I feel like I???ve become rather expert ??? AND a huge skeptic of car dealerships!!! When you buy a high-end car, you lose SOOO MUCH money, as soon as you drive it off the showroom floor. So the last time we purchased cars, we decided to purchase nearly-new cars with very low mileage on them. We bought an Audi R8 and a Mercedes SL63. And it turned out GREAT. No regrets. So now it was time to sell those cars and buy two more. I happened across Vroom.com in my Internet search, and found the perfect cars for both my wife and I at the same place ??? Vroom.com. The cars are nearly identical to the same cars we???ve been driving, but just newer. A 2014 Audi R8 and a 2014 SL63 ??? both with about 3,500 miles on them. Even the same colors as our previous cars. I got bids from several companies to sell our cars to. Vroom offered the highest amounts on both of our cars!! And it was FAR easier to sell to them than any other company. Unbelievably simple! And the prices for the newer 2014 cars was extremely fair. I flew out from South Orange County, California to Vroom to look at and drive both cars. Vroom picked me up at the airport and brought me back to the airport. I was extremely impressed with Vroom and their showroom. And without exception, every single person I???ve spoken with and dealt with at Vroom has been not only helpful and enthusiastic, but GENUINELY concerned about making me happy. Even after the sale they keep contacting me to see how I???m doing and to ask if there???s anything that I need. They got me great financing! Less than 3% interest rate. I had no clue that you could do that with a ???used??? car. No other buying or trade-in experience I???ve ever had comes even close to how great, simple and fast this was. Oh???and they shipped the cars from Texas to us at NO CHARGE, and picked up our two cars at the same time. And the nice young man who delivered the cars was fabulous. He was so very, very careful with our cars. And not only do they have their guarantee ??? I believe you have a week or so to drive the car, and if you don???t like it, they will take the car back. They even told me several times (even after I???d purchased the cars) that if for some reason we decided we did not want the cars, they would come pick them up and truck them back to Texas at NO COST to use. Unbelievable!! Well, my wife is now also so impressed that she no longer is frustrated with me for talking about Vroom so much, and telling all my friends. In fact, I???ve already asked Vroom to look for a car for my daughter. I now would not think of getting her car anywhere else than Vroom. I mentioned before that I???m a skeptic when it comes to car salesmen and dealerships. So if I was you reading this, the first thing I???d wonder is, ???Why is this guy writing this review? Are they paying him???..???? Well, I don???t know any of the people at Vroom. I spent so much time on this review simply because I believe that when people deserve credit, and they treat you so nicely, you should reciprocate and sing their praises. My name is Dr. Rod Kurthy. Worth the 3 hour trip from NC!

A few weeks ago we took a day trip, from the Raleigh NC area to buy a 2015 certified pre-owned Civic from Checkered Flag Honda, 197 miles away. Why? The day before, we drove a 2014 Civic at a local Carmax. We loved the car but we weren't sure about the deal we would be getting. We came home and did a 200 mile search on the internet to see what else was available. We found a 2015 at Checkered Flag that had 12,000 fewer miles, was $900 less, AND it was a certified pre-owned! We read all the great reviews and Larry Brown's name kept getting mentioned, over and over. The next day, I called as soon as the dealership opened to check to see if the car was still available before making the trip, and Larry Brown answered the phone. He said he was scheduled to be off, but come in to work a few hours. It felt like it was meant to be! I have good credit, but life circumstances have resulted in a high debt-to-income ratio, so I mentioned that I wasn't sure I would be able to get a loan. Larry took basic information from me and called back very quickly saying we could work it out. We jumped in our car and headed to Va. From start to finish we had a good experience in regards to everything that was under the Checkered Flag's staff's control. Carl Dyson greeted us as soon as we entered the showroom. We told him we were there to see Larry and he assisted by letting Larry know we were there and telling us where we could wait. Larry was genuine and accommodating through the entire process, start to finish, as was Chad Frick who spent time with us as well. We were there on an unusually busy Sunday, and a couple of customers were ahead of us waiting to work with Financial Manager Samuel Custodio even by 6:00, when the dealership closed. Larry and Chad stayed with us and maintained the best attitudes, in spite of the circumstances. We finally met with Samuel, who also still was smiling, personable and took the time to fully explain our various options in spite of it being three hours past closing by the time he was working with us. I also felt Samuel was honest about the various service/maintenance options available to us and which ones would be most suited to us/our needs. In summary, the "Fast" part was not so applicable for us but, again, this was outside of the staff's control. The "Simple" and "Smart" definitely applied! I am a single woman who was buying this car with my teen aged daughter. I never felt like I was being misled or taken advantage of during any part of the process, start to finish. I would definitely recommend this dealership based on their better value and customer service. I would not hesitate to make another 3 hour road trip to buy another Honda from Checkered Flag!

If you are avoiding car shopping because you "don't" want to be taken for a ride, you need to meet John Figueroa, Jr. We met him because he was one of many who sent a solicitation letter, only he followed up, twice. He knew we were in the market for a used car, so he let us know he wanted the opportunity to be of service, but gave us some time and space to think about it. We called him a few weeks later, told him exactly what we were looking for, and made an appointment to meet with him. We were early, but he was ready for us. We had already told him what we wanted, so he had several cars ready to show us. Before we could drive anything, the bottom fell out, so he brought the first car into one of the bays so we wouldn't get wet. That was very considerate, only it was the wrong car! We had not seen what we wanted in any of the choices out on the lot; however, we were impressed to find out he was way ahead of the game and had several stashed away. We couldn't believe it when he brought up a car we thought we couldn't afford after we had told him, specifically, what we wanted--and that one wasn't even close. I opened my mouth to tell him that, but he just smiled and opened the doors, and it was raining; it would have been rude not to get in, right? Well, it was a fabulous ride and a joy to drive. While it wasn't the make we had specified or a model we had even heard of, it was the exact age, roomy, and had extremely low mileage. It was also beautiful, even if it was the wrong color! After that ride, he brought up the make we wanted (and thought we could afford). It wasn't the right model, but it was close enough, and the color was acceptable. We thought that would be much more practical and something we could live with, but we learned quickly that the man is a genius. He had just pulled out of the lot and we told him to go back. There was no comparison between the vehicles, and we decided not to look further. We chose the first one and love it more and more each day. But that's not the end of the story. There is a lesson to be learned here. Mr. Figueroa speaks softly and appears to be a man of few words. He never pressured us; he just showed us the car that met our primary criteria first. Previously, we had told him that we wanted a specific model SUV with low mileage, one that could take the mountains and one in which we would feel safe and comfortable while driving 1,200 miles, across seven states, on turnpikes sandwiched in between tractor trailers (and trailers, and trailers). Emphatically, we told Mr. Figueroa the car we "wanted." He took us for a ride in the exact car we "needed." While he was listening to what we said we wanted, he heard what we said we needed, and that is what made the difference. Peace of mind is priceless.

We purchased a 2016 Civic from Checkered Flag Honda back in April of last year. Although my wife's 2003 Pilot had treated her well for almost fourteen years, it was time for a new Honda. I showed her the new 2017 CR-V on the Honda website, and as she remembered the great buying experience we had less than a year ago, she asked me one question- what time does Checkered Flag Honda close? This was a Saturday just after 5:00 p.m. We checked out the inventory on their website, contacted the dealership, and was quite fortunate to have Brendan Powell as our product specialist. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. We managed to get a good trade-in appraisal, take a test drive, do the paperwork, and thanks to Brendan, drive away with a new 2017 CR-V that evening around 8:15. Considering the fact the dealership actually closed at 7:00, the color my wife picked (Gunmetal Metallic) happened to be the one in the showroom, and we still had to come back with the check on Monday, my wife and I are grateful for Brendan's help and satisfied with the great buying experience at Checkered Flag Honda.

I've owned cars since the 70's. I've toured VW, Honda, Chevy, Nissan, Ford, Carmax and Toyota Dealerships, been to car shows, used car lots, junk yards - have kept a Chevy S-10 alive for 22 years - rented cars for the last 9 years of its life and in 2013 hunted for a used car. In short, I've been around and know what I like. I've had good and bad experiences. My visit to Checker Flag Toyota dealership was by far the best experience to date. Carmax was the lowest key, low stress, but not as friendly. Jaclyn has been my next door neighbor since last year. This was my first professional interaction with her and she was super. Easy to make an appointment, flexible when I arrived late, I was asked by almost all the staff that saw me waiting if I needed assistance. I got a full tour of all the options - new and certified pre-owned - sales and lease options. We drove a certified pre-owned Highlander XLE, 2015 model with lots of extras, some regrettably unique to that model year. I learned all about what made that SUV special, what makes Toyota great, what makes Checkerflag Toyota best of all. I gained a new respect for my neighbor too. The only things that kept me from buying the car right then were my personal circumstances and the ridiculously low value of my Chevy Colorado - I've lot $10k in 4 years after I bought it used. (lesson here - buy a Toyota if you want a car to hold value - painful lesson learned). I know my next car with be a Toyota and my only dealership will be Checker Flag in Norfolk. I hear of some major concerns about this van, however we have had no issues, and are very satisfied to date. Drives very well, has what seems to be a lot of safety features. The exterior fit could have been been better, some of the trim does not line up 100 percent. Our last Odyssey still runs well with 200 thousand miles on it according to the current owner. I expect many years of service from our Odyssey. I would buy this van again, we currently have 22,000 miles on it.

The van is very quiet. Gas mileage is great. The uneven floor would have deterred me from buying it if I had none about it before the purchase. Totally unnecessary! No low windshield washer reservoir indicator! Duh! Gas flip door often freezes up and won't open.

Amazing experience! Honda is a great dealership and their staff is beyond reproach. Ken went above and beyond to secure my daughter a vehicle. She picked out a HRV, Ken managed to upgrade her to a 2018 CR-V, all while keeping within her preferred monthly payment. She went from 13% to a 5% interest rate on her car loan. Danny in Finance Department worked hard to get her a suitable loan that best matched her financial ability. She got her bang for every buck! Ken ensured a smooth transition in a timely fashioned manner. We were in and out in no time! But before we left, Ken thoroughly explained the features of my daughters new vehicle ensuring that she'd enjoy it fully. He also explained all the benefits that come with her new vehicle as a Priority customer. In the end, we left without a doubt in our minds that we chose the right dealership! We had a great experience at Hall Honda. The sales rep (Lorenzo) was not very pushy and was able to offer a good deal to help my growing family of 5 purchase a safe and trusted certified pre-owned Odyssey that was in like new condition. Deals like this only happen once in a blue moon (really it was the night of a blue moon), but when they do...they happen at Hall Honda. 😉 Seriously, we had a great experience and Hondas are a reliable vehicle that will hold it's value. This is my family's third time buying a Honda. The 2018 Odyssey comes with the Android Auto connect feature, It's really nice being able to control your car with Google Voice just like using Google Home! Unfortunately, it is not compatible with a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, but this is not Honda's fault. Google is aware of the issue and is trying to fix it. I hope they fix it soon as it's a great feature that works fine with my wife's Samsung Galaxy S7 phone. The assisted cruise control, lane-departure, and safety sense features really make you feel like you're driving a vehicle of the future. The only part of the vehicle I don't like is when you remove the middle row seats, the mounting bases (that allow the seats to Glide side to side) cannot be removed (safety feature). However, I doubt we'll be removing the seats very often as it is a family vehicle in the kids need somewhere to sit. Also, the ability to (remove middle 8th seat) and slide the seats is a really nice feature and it's a great way to ensure little feet don't kick the back of the driver's seat (dads) when it is slid all the way back. If you're looking for a safe and reliable minivan for the family, I highly recommend the Honda Odyssey.

My old car was my third minivan in 15 years. Now that my kids are older and leaving for college, I wanted something that could carry 6 or 7 passengers but was ... well... NOT a minivan. I did some research on late model used three-row SUVs, and found the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. (My favorite of my three vans was a 2005 Nissan Quest, so choosing Nissan was easy for me.) Before I started browsing for cars, I applied for credit through Carvana, and was approved. Next, I entered in all of the information about the van I was trading for the Pathfinder. (Beware -- the trade-in amount is only good for 7 days, and it can change wildly in that time!) I was pleased with the trade amount, and it was great that I could shop for my new car and see my down payment and monthly payment for every car I viewed! My specifications were pretty clear -- AWD, less than 10,000 miles, and never a rental car. I found my dream car a few days later, and started the purchase process. It was quite smooth and the directions were very clear about what documents need to be uploaded. When I went to click on "finalize purchase" (or something like that), a red flag popped up...my trade-in value expired WHILE I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF CHECKING OUT! I got on chat with Carvana staff right away, and they were able to return the trade in value to NEARLY what it was before the expiration. This is something that needs to be addressed by Carvana -- once a customer is to a certain point in the process, those numbers need to be frozen. So we set a delivery time, and the Carvana rep was pretty much on time considering he was traveling 70 miles or so from the Chicago office. Everything was smooth -- signed a couple more papers, took my Pathfinder for a spin, Eric inspected my trade, and I left within 30 minutes with my new car. I would also like to add that I drove directly to my mechanic, so he could inspect the car and make sure I wasn't buying something with hidden damage. Mechanic said to me, "This car is perfect, like new." Just what I wanted to hear. Thanks Carvana! I am telling everyone I know about you guys. Good to work with you! Janet - 2017 Nissan Pathfinder

This is a review of my SELLING experience to Carvana. I listed my car on Craigslist and was approached by an outsider buyer named Jan. She introduced me to Carvana, which I never heard of before, and it's process. She was very helpful and walked me through the process. The first deciding factor for selling to them was that they offered me the best price (vs. CarMax, Auto Nation, Trur Car). Then I realized the process was super streamlined. All I had to do was upload my documents and, after approval, schedule an appointment for the pickup of my car. Carvana sent a truck to COME TO ME to pick up the car. The driver (Lauren?) was very courteous and pleasant to work with, too. The pickup process, which included a one-mile test drive, took no longer than 20-30 minutes. Immediately after loading my car to their truck, I was handed the check, which I immediately deposited without any issues. My selling experience from being contacted by buyer to getting the check took just 10 days! (Would've been even faster if I was more timely with uploading my docs.) I'd highly recommend Carvana for selling your cars!

2018 Honda Odyssey EX-L with Navigation and Rear Entertainment. First let me start off by saying I'm not a Honda fan. Ever since I had a terrible experience with a civic I stayed away from Honda. After having my 2nd child our compact SUV was not big enough (2 kids both in car seats, a double stroller, and 2 dogs. Yeah that wasn't going to happen). I test drove every 3 row SUV on the market because I was NOT going to own a minivan. I test drove a 2016 Honda Pilot and just loved it. So that brought me back to the Honda Line. I went to a dealership and told the sales guy I was looking at the Pilot. He asked the size of my family and said "let me show you the Odyssey". I was VERY reluctant to look at it. 1 because it was same car my parents drove and 2 it was a MINIVAN! But I decided to go and look. Am I glad that I did! The amount of space this thing had, the seats were so comfortable, it's turning radius was felt like I was driving a car, and the ride was incredible! I was able to take the car home for 3 days before I made my final decision. In those 3 days, I put the stroller in it, tested the rear entertainment for my 2 year old, loved that I could open the doors and my 2 year old could climb in, oh and I didn't have to worry about hitting the car next to me in the parking lot! I was sold on the van. I bought the van on December 28, 2018 and knew this was going to be our family car for years. I can keep all of the seats up and have the stroller in the trunk. The EX-L offers plenty of features to feel like you are driving the top of the line without the price tag. Leather seats with driver memory, keyless entry with remote start, automatic doors, Honda Sensing (thats on the EX trim as well) and the system work great. Automatic lift gate, automatic high beams, the magic sliding seats, auto lock feature so if you walk away with full hands the car will lock, and many more! I average 30 MPG combined driving (eco mode is always on). Yes I am no longer "cool" but hey this thing can carry my family and all of our stuff comfortably. My car only has less than 6,000 miles on it now, so it is a baby, but she's a great car and we have had no problems with her. Don't stick to the SUV craze, cave and buy the minivan. You won't regret it!
