Let me first say, I???ve purchased many vehicles in my time on earth so hear me... sales, finance and the owners made me feel like royalty! They worked within my budget and threw in wonderful perks to sweeten the deal! It felt as if I was visiting good friends! Do visit them when you are ready to purchase your vehicle and get treated with exceptional customer service! This is a genuine review because I just drove home my new vehicle!! Yay!
I highly recommend Honda of Tenafly. As a lifelong Honda owner (Civic, Accord, CR-V, Pilot & Odyssey), I have interacted with many Honda dealerships over the past two decades. This was my first interaction with Honda of Tenafly and I was extremely impressed by the level of professionalism conducted by my Sales and Leasing Consultant, Anna Marie Kuhn. Not only was she able to answer all my questions and provide me with a new 2019 Honda Pilot EX to replace my 2016 version, she was very patient with regard to ensuring I was able to understand all the functionality and customization of my new Pilot to ensure my driving experience was as turn-key as possible. Not once did I ever feel pressured to make a purchase and every question I asked was addressed with a direct answer. For these reasons I knew my business was not just desired but VALUED. Ultimately I look forward to being a Honda of Tenafly customer for many years to come!
This dealership does what most marketers out there do so I was not very surprised. However, I felt uncomfortable, pressured and dominated by the sales team. In trying to inquire and gather relevant information pertaining to my purchase, the sales team expressed a feeling of time lost on their end; ???which means I was wasting their time and I needed to seal the deal ASAP???. I felt like I needed a day to make up my mind, but they got very angry at me and one of them spoke to me in a disrespectful manner and tone of voice, but I kept my cool. They also asked that I make a deposit if I needed to come the next day. I didn???t like the fact that I had to deposit any money on my first visit but I cooperated anyway because they had already projected guilt on me. If I were to rewind time, I wouldn???t visit this particular dealership. The good thing is they worked with me to fit my budget and they were able to accommodate some of my financial request. And oh, they gave me a slice of pizza too! Overall I would say this dealership is competent with paperwork and efficiency in their office work flow, but they need a lot of improvement in the way they speak to their clients.
I messaged this dealer about a particular car and I received a reply within a few minutes. I will visit this dealer soon. Couldn't go the first time due to a personal situation. But I liked how quickly they responded.
Pete and Mike really know cars, and the whole buying process. No pressure, and always a good selection. I've bought 2 vehicles from them, and they even gave me a decent price on a trade-in. Very different from other dealers, in a good way!
Can't say enough good things about everyone who helped me in this dealership. I wasn't sure if I wanted new or used. They explained every detail to me and worked to find exactly what I was looking for. Their goal was to get me in a car that would have me smiling all the time.
