Great Experience, Treated like family.

I have bought many vehicles over the past years. It has gotten to the point that I dread going out and even looking at used cars because most the time the dealer does a song and a dance, or they always misrepresent the vehicle. But that was not my experience at Platinum Auto Group. I have been looking for a specific S class Mercedes for some time now. I happened to cut through town to avoid traffic one day when I stumbled upon a S class on Platinum's lot. I quickly just wanted to see if the car had the options that were crucial to me. While on the lot I was greeted by sales rep Chris. Chris welcomed me to their dealer and informed me that they are currently doing a soft opening and that not all their cars are there at the moment. Unfortunately the S class they had on the lot at the time did not have the options needed, but Chris asked me to take 2 mins to come inside and fill out a vehicle request form. I usually don't bother with these, but I figured why not so I gave it a try. Inside I was greeted by the owner Allen who personally took the time to help me fill out the form. He assured me that he will find what I am looking for and to leave it to him, this was March 8th. March 13th comes along and I get a call from Chris that they believe they found my car. However I was in Florida at the time and could not see the car. I told them I would be returning the 20th and would come see it then. Chris said no problem and that they would await my arrival for that day. I saw the vehicle on the 20th and was impressed with it, it was exactly what I was looking for and then some. I left a deposit with Chris and told him that I had to wait for my wife's approval of the color and that she is unfortunately working late hours and won't be able to see the car till Wednesday. On Tuesday around 11 am I spoke to Chris about having the vehicle inspected by a Mercedes Dealership. There was one in Englewood that I have used for service before and wanted to have a complete once over on the vehicle. Chris said he would call me back around noon with an answer. Well noon came and I got a call from Chris, I was expecting them to state that they have no problem with a mechanic looking over the vehicle, but that I would have to arrange a transport to the dealership and cover all costs. Instead Chris tells me that he has dropped off the car at Benzel- Busch, and the car should be done around 2 o'clock. Sure enough I called my service manager and the car was there getting a thorough once over. The car came back with zero errors, all maintenance done on time, and all TSBs performed. No paint damage, or repainting on the car. I spoke to Chris again after he had picked it up and made an appointment for the following day at noon. We got to the dealership around 11:30am where we were greeted by the front desk and given coffee or tea while we waited for Chris. The car was pulled out front all detailed and my wife was in love. I told Chris it is a done deal and that we would like to finance. Chris introduced us to Pat their Finance Manager. Over the years I have been tricked into buying extra protection or had finance managers change the rates on two contracts and try to pull a fast one. I was little apprehensive at first, but Pat really did take care of us. We filled out a brief application for credit, had a approval in 5 mins, and were done with all our Tags, Fees, Registration, Insurance,Temp Plates, and Loan in under 35 mins. Their paperwork is straight forward, Pat never once rushed us when we asked to overlook everything we were signing. By 12:30 pm our temp plate was on the car, our insurance was in the glove box and we were done. Allen greeted me at the car and asked how he did. I told him that he and his team provided me with service from a new car dealership, and that he lived up to everything he promised. Platinum truly is an example of what a used car buying experience should be. If they don't have exactly what you want, just ask.
