Best Car Buying Experience Ever

To the best of my recollection, I have purchased about 9 new cars in my lifetime. Far and away, my Murray Kia experience ranks as the best. And I???ve had a fair amount of good buying experiences too. My initial contact started 4 or 5 months prior, and from start to finish, my key contact throughout was Roger O???Kane. Unlike most dealers, Roger maintained the perfect distance, checking in now and again with an occasional call or email. The majority of dealers either call you daily, or check in once and then totally forget about you. Murray Kia was not the first Kia dealer I went to either (look for some other reviews coming soon, since my car buying journey took me to about 8 dealers in total). I took my first test drive with Murray Kia in July or August. That would follow with at least 3 or 4 more visits and test drives, and a series of emails with Roger. At the dealership, Roger took the right amount of time to answer my questions ??? this would be my first Hybrid, first Kia and first crossover. Roger had a fair amount of work to do, but at no point did he play any games. He was patient and professional from start to finish. He clearly knows his customers and knew when I was ready, Murray Kia and Roger would earn my business. While I did extensive research, I never considered visiting those out of state dealers or the local ones with crazy gimmicks. As the end of my buying process approached, I visited about once a week, asking questions and taking extended test drives. And finally at the end of October, I arrived once last time, to buy my Kia Niro! On arrival, Roger was busy with other customers (I had not scheduled an appointment) and so I worked with Larry Beckett to get the paperwork in order. I think Larry and I spent more time chatting than anything else. I met his son Alex who was newer to the business and learning the ropes no doubt from his father and other seasoned professionals at Murray Kia. Alex even shared his pizza ??? I felt like I was visiting friends more so than buying a car! While finance got their papers in order, the receptionist took me on a tour of the service area. Here I met a friendly gentleman and we chatted a bit about the vehicle I was buying. I later learned this man was the owner ??? what an amazing experience. When I arrived in finance, everything was exactly as we had discussed. Exactly! While he shared some options I could buy, there was absolutely no pressure, and no attempt at selling extras no one needs. Bonus? They have way cool electronic pad which eliminates the need for so much paper. Like my Hybrid purchase, this was another positive green impact. In about the span of 90 minutes from entry, I was in my new car. By now, Roger was free and took time to introduce me to my new car. Android Auto was setup and soon I was on my way.
