In my 10 years in this area I???ve purchased 8 vehicles. 4 of those vehicles were from your dealership. Between the auto needs of wife and myself, I have spent countless hours in and out of dealerships from Wilmington to Greenville to New Bern. I had a great relationship with Mike Waller in your service department on all the vehicles I???ve owned. Because of these relationships, I kept coming back. The exception was two years ago when my vehicle was totaled and you didn???t have a truck on the lot in my price range at that moment. The reason I tell you this is because I???ve never had a more pleasurable experience purchasing a vehicle than I had this last Saturday with John McMiller, Chris (sales manager), and Lorenzo (finance). Prior to visiting National, I returned to the dealership that I purchased my last vehicle from. Amazingly, they were completely unwilling to negotiate their gross undervaluation of my trade value or the overvaluation of their used vehicle. I stopped in to National and from the moment I got there until the moment I left I felt I was being treated properly. These guys were friendly, personable, understanding of my needs and requirements, and really worked with me. I was able to joke and make smalltalk while conducting business, making the whole event feel like I was just hanging out with friends. John continues to take care of me three days after the sale, and that shows a true dedication to his trade and his customers. I???ll not soon forget this experience. I will recommend John McMiller to anyone that is in the market for a vehicle. Moreover, National will be my first stop every 2 - 3 years that I get the ???new car itch???. Regards, Jerry Collins

This car is considerably smaller than my current 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport which is great since I wanted to downsize. Love the sporty look of my new car and gets great gas mileage!!

I own a 2009 Honda Civic Si and normally do all the maintenance on the vehicle myself. But with me moving I didnt have the time to fix the couple issues I was having with the vehicle so I called the dealership and scheduled an appointment. The representatives in the service department where very helpful, understanding, and thorough, taking notes of the issues I had. I had a couple general maintenance jobs done (serpentine belt replaced, fuel system cleaning, alignment, and a motor mount replaced). Everything was done to my satisfaction and the car drives like a dream again. The only issue I had is upon recieving the keys and signing the paperwork, I inspected the new motor mount and found that the mechanic, who had just starter not to long ago, had sheared the head of one of the bolts off holding a bracket to the frame. The bracket holds the motor mount in place. I asked the service rep to take a look at it and once she saw the issue she then called in, im guess here, the leader mechanic to take a look at it as well. They immediately had the bolt on order and had it replaced, free of charge, the next day. Keep in mind the car was still safe to drive, especially with a total of 6 mounts and the bracket still had the other 3 bolts in tact. I couldnt have asked for better customer service. I gave both service reps 5 stars and everything in the service center 5 stars with the exception of the "quality of work". I gave that a 4 star due to the first mechanic not correcting his mistake when it first occured. I would definitely take my vehicle back for any other service if I wasnt leaving the area.

Topline: Beautiful and sporty feel, but not worth its value. Pros - Technology, size of floating screen, Android Auto, physical shortcut buttons, intuitive - Quick acceleration, sport mode is really fun, quiet cabin (except freeways) - Stylish overall, liked the premium look of the wheels Cons - Stiff cloth seats, lower panel sticks out and hurts lower back after 30min or so (for me at least) - Too much plastic all around especially sides of doors, looks cheap - Lacks premium features/details of comparable value hatchbacks (push-button start, electric seat adjustments, blindspot det, etc.) - Cannot find any leather seats online specifically for this make/model, unless you customize for $$$ - Stutters when you brake and turn quickly (could just have been this particular vehicle) - Fuel economy is slightly lower than competitors - Big blindspots (they have a second smaller mirror on the drivers side to help but it's not enough) I wanted to like this vehicle so much because I love the way it looks and drives, and I did my research beforehand but the reality was different. I got a 2018 hatchback base model version for <$16K for <20K miles which I thought was an average but ok deal (looking at Kelley Blue Book). When my bank was doing its own appraisal of the car (to see if I needed gap insurance) the value was well below that because they base it on features the car has. I know it's a common scenario but when it was missing all these other features that say, a Mazda3 had at a similar price (push-start, blindspot det, heated mirrors, leatherette seats, electric seat adjustments, etc.) I realized the value wasn't there. I passed on the Mazda3 too, but using as an example. Technology is increasing rapidly so paying on this car for a few years and still using a physical key with plastic insides and uncomfortable cloth seats didn't seem worth it. The YouTube videos and other reviews are true, the seats are very stiff. If you're going for a test drive, go for AT LEAST 30MIN to see how your body reacts to the stiff seats. Also, go on the highways. While it is a quiet cabin, I found it loud on the freeways.
