Easiest buying experience ever!!!

Stopped by Kia to check out the 2019 Sorento's being advertised online. I have been researching cars the last few months, but couldn't find anything I liked as much as my Equinox, until now. Dan Trotter in sales approached me and was very up front from the moment we walked in the door. There wasn't all of the back and forth that normally comes along with car buying, or the added pressures. After going over figures, I was still uncertain about what to do. Then the manager came out and asked if I wanted to take the car for the remainder of the weekend to "try it out". Well it paid off in the end for both of us because we ended up keeping it. For anyone else like me who was wanting the third row option without going too large or sacrificing space, this is the car for you, and at a competitive price.

Good so far!!!

Driving/handling excellent-holds the road really well. The 17" tires make a big difference. Open road gas mileage has been 33-36mpg-more than I expected. Heated leather seats, sunroof and remote starter are a big ++! A B_I_G negative is NO STORAGE up front. I don't count those little 'nubbies' they call storage as adequate. Most cars these days have the same front set-up-2 cupholders and the 'nubbies'. I was so used to my Dodge Grand Caravan and the big storage that this was a huge schock for me. I like it so far despite my critiscisms(sic) and I'll give it another 6 months. BTW, plenty good size storage in back!!!

I purchased a 2009 Lincoln MKX on May 6. We drove from Gray area to Knoxville 2x before we made our puchase. Both times we were able to look inside all vehicles, drive anything we were interested in, no pressure, very relaxing and pleasant experience. I drove my MKX home after a 30 minute process, with a full tank of gas, and lots of friendly smiles. The 30 day warranty applied to the MKX. 2 weeks later, the TPU case leaked terribly. Called and talked to claims, took the car to auto shop, got it repaired, and I myself have NEVER had such a great and easy car buying experience as I have at Doug Justus. A huge thanks to Hunter, Joseph, Jeff and the team for everything. Rick and Carolyn Hicks

Secret nice car only you know.

I have 2011 Elantra touring with 5 speed manual. the Manual shifter is surprisingly short throw ans sporty. Handling is really good for a wagon. I got moon roof leather , heated seats, roof rack , 17 inch alloy wheels for what I would have paid for base civic. I go suring and snowboarding so the roof rack comes in handy. Gas mileage is average for the economy car but really good for the interior volume it has. Engine is somewhat not as refined but it is economy car overall. So far I am very happy and it is a kind of a secret weapon that only the driver knows how good of a car it is for what you pay for.

great station wagon
by js from new smyrna beach,fl

I was looking for vehicle that I could put the back seats down for my dog to roam around in the back .he rides to work with me 4 days a week and the front pickup seat was pretty confining for a50 lb dog. I commute 500 miles a week and I was looking for better gas mileage. I also wanted to be able to place 4 golf bags behind the rear seats occasionally. most of the wagon types had limited room behind the rear seat . the suv types didn't get the mileage I was wanting..With a roof rack I can carry my paddleboard, dog, golf clubs and get 29.4 mpg. great vehicle shocking the euro station wagon design didn't catch on here.love this car

Like the style but very uncomfortable!
by mom2boys from

We had this car for 15 months. I loved the hatchback style but my husband hated it. The car was very uncomfortable, especially for long road trips and gas mileage depended alot on how many were in the car. It seated 5 but only 4 would be somewhat comfortable. The hatchback made it easy to access food and stuff while traveling but that was the only good thing about this car.

?????? My new Murano and Kelly Nissan
by debr from DealerRater.com

This is our second time leasing a new car from Kelly Nissan and due to the fact that my husband and I were treated so well the first time we felt there was no reason to go anywhere else. From the time we entered the show room we were greeted by both professional and friendly sales people, whom made us feel right at ease. The buying experience and Kelly Nissan is actually very pleasant, for the sales team takes the time to listen to your needs and wants never making the buyer feel pressured in anyway. This time we had the pleasure of dealing with Eric Sparrow, who was both friendly and courteous not only towards us but fellow employees. Eric was precepting a sales woman new to the dealership and the level of professionalism he demonstrated not only towards us but also to this employee by the way he introduced her and asked if she could shadow our entire visit is commendable. My previous lease was a Murano and I was looking to get a Murano again. Eric took the time to explain the various options available on the differrent models and he was able to answer all our questions readily due to his level of product knowledge. When it came time to discuss figures we were introduced to Jeff Collura whom also was very professional and friendly and then to John Arena in finance who also very professional and courteous. The entire experience like I said was extremely pleasant from the very start, the test drive, the paperwork and not to mention driving your new car off the showroom floor/red carpet. My husband and I truly feel that other dealerships should strive for this level for you have set the bar! I would also like to add how Eric gave us a thorough hands on demonstration of the various options on the car, linked our cell phones and also notified our insurance company of the new vehicle purchas, he truly goes the extra mile. We give Kelly Nissan 5 Stars and can't say enough about the entire sales team including you're newest sales woman ( sorry I forget her first name ) . We know that we will receive great service when it's time for check ups and look forward to continuing buisness with Kelly Nissan. 👍🏻

Does the job; looks good while doing it

New, so reliability unknown. Perfect commuting car. Comfortable, quiet, and smooth. Peppy on the flat; lousy on hills. Visibility out the back less than other wagons I've had; something to get used to. If my driving took me often to hilly terrain, I'd have chosen something with a manual rather than an automatic transmission. But, since it doesn't, this one is fine, and has jaunty look about it to boot.

She didn't hesitate on letting me test drive several different cars on the lot before I made my decision. Thanks Debra for your patience and making my car buying a pleasant experience! It's a small wagon with plenty of cargo room. It's a great car, even on long trips. There's plenty of room for the kids and the dog. It's also a great car for the grocery store and has even handled carrying a 7.5-foot Christmas tree home from the tree farm.

Very good in all categories. Test drove many other vehicles but, dollar for dollar, this is not only the best value. My Elantra Limited gives me all that you would find in top rated luxury auto. A bigger wheel base and larger wheels & tires, Head lights that turn with you on dark roads, finger tip control on steering wheel with voice command and push button starting. These and many other features which I don't have enough room to write about.

Love This Car!!!
by luvmycar from Sussex NJ
June 13, 2011

I've had my 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring for about six weeks now, and I've already put 2,700 miles on it. With three jobs, I spend quite a bit of time driving to and from work, and this car 'almost' makes me not hate having to leave my house at 10 pm six nights a week! I did quite a bit of online research before deciding on this particular car. I knew I wanted a hatchback, small wagon-type car, and good gas mileage was an important factor. And, as I explained to the salesperson, since I can either afford a car payment Or frequent repair bills (but not BOTH) five or six year projected reliability played a huge part in my decision. Next came the 'fun stuff'.... and this car has those in abundance! I chose the dark silver/gray color, which looks good even when it's not freshly washed/waxed. I love the looks of this car. Even for a wagon, I think it looks 'sporty and stylish.' The interior is beautiful! I've read some people complain of 'cheap looking interior features' but I can't imagine what they are complaining about. Maybe I am so impressed because my last car was a 1997 Jetta, but I truly think the interior is well laid out, and impressive looking. I have the model that comes with moon roof, heated leather seats, IPOD integration and steering wheel controls... I am in heaven! I live in the a rural area of NJ and this car handles all the up-and-down hills and around-sharp-curves like a champ. On highways, I am more than pleased with its pick-up, cabin quietness and smooth engine performance. I don't know exactly how many miles I'm getting to the gallon, but what I do know is that I used to have to fill up my Jetta every four days, and now I can go SIX days between visits to the gas station. This is saving me over $100 per month in fuel costs! Between the fuel savings and the fact that this car will not be in the shop every month.... I am truly grateful for this car and to say I love it is putting it mildly! PS: I've had several Toyotas, a Honda and a VW in the past, and believe me, they have NOTHING on my Hyundai!!!

Lots of car for the money and practical
by Practical car shopper from San Antonio, TX

The Hyundai Elantra Touring is a very stylish and practical car for the money. Lots of room and cargo handling ability without all the weight, gas guzzeling and room required for my previous SUV. In fact I have the same amount of room, about 65 cu ft of cargo space as my suv had. I get around 29mpg with mostly highway mileage and more on long trips just on the highway, about 34mpg. Plenty of power for around town and hauling freinds or loads when needed. At about a very low price I got a totally loaded car with auto trans and all the power options.

We just bought our 3rd car from Lundgren Honda. Matt was WONDERFUL! He took the time and listened to our concerns along with answering all our questions. He was super nice and the whole family thinks he is top knotch . Our kids thought he was totally hysterical which made it easier for them to spend the time there that we had to. It is hard to find someone that can relate to each and every member of the family. Lundgren is lucky to have Matt as part of their team. ( even though he is not a Red Sox fan) Thanks for everything Matt!!! See you the next time we need another car. 🙂

Elantra Touring.... no thanks.

First the good news -- my 2011 Elantra Touring wagon gets thumbs up and kind comments almost everywhere I go. It's a charcoal gray metallic with lots of chrome and I keep it nicely detailed. Now the bad news: I just can't get myself to like the car, despite all the "logical" reasons I should. It's decent on gas, it's pretty nice looking, and it's been reliable. But it's underpowered, noisy, and not terribly comfortable. For $20K, you certainly can't find anything new so nicely equipped with leather, a power sunroof, heated seats, etc. -- But I'd suggest buying something nice, but 2 to 3 years old. I could have had a Saab 9.3 or an Audi A4 with a few miles on it. Oh well. Live and learn. I just hope I can save someone else from making this mistake.

I have bought about 10-14 cars in over 25 years. I love Hampton ford and all the salesmen and service men. I always get treated like a queen there. They are always there when I need them they offer so much to people including while in waiting room, most car dealerships don't offer anything or the comfort as Hampton ford does. I will always go there and have referred many people who did go there. They are number 1????????

I have had my ET for almost a year now and have really enjoyed it. The problems I am having now are that I have an automatic and I was sitting at a light and my car just shut off for no reason while in gear. Now my transmission is slipping. I'm bringing it in for service but I am going to be really upset if I end up having to pay out of pocket for this to be fixed. All in all it has been a great car and I would recommend people to get it. I'm just hoping that my problems are just on my vehicle.

Great all purpose vehiicle
by Pet Owner from Minneapolis

I bought my Elantra Touring car used and have owned it for 7 months now. I have several pets and wanted a car with room for all their kennels so I could make one trip to the vet instead of three I, also, needed a car with space for building supplies for home improvements and suitcases for roadtrips. The Elantra touring car gives me all that along with a spacious front seat area for myself and a passenger. I think I have as much usable space as my brother's more expensive Honda CRV. I have had 3 adults in the back seat with no complaints of discomfort. I had knee replacement surgery a few months ago and with my limited mobility the car has been a godsend. I have plenty of room to get in and out. I get 28 MPG for a mix of around town and highway driving. The car has good pickup for merging, tight steering and excellent maneuverability. It looks attractive (nice lines) and I have had many complimemts on it. I test drove many vehicles before choosing the Elantra. This one has the handling of the Mazda 3 with the cargo space of the CRV or Rav4. The front seat area seems as large as the Forester's but much more comfortable. I only drove vehicles that were mechanically reliable and recommended by my mechanic. The touring car was hard to find, but well worth the search.

After 45 years I find an excellent Car Salesperson, Matt Duke
by teamdamschen from DealerRater.com
November 6, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.3 (2399 reviews)
I highly recommend Matt Duke as your salesperson. Matt is the best of any auto sales person I have worked with in all my years of buying cars which is well over 45 years. Truly, I felt like I was buying a car and NOT being high pressured like many car salespeople are. The "experience was exceptional" with Matt's consultation. He gets A++, 6 stars out of 5, 12 out of 10 ... however you want to rate... for providing trust, confidence, ability to answer all my questions (I ask many questions) and assisting us in making the right decision on the right car, the Genesis G90, for my needs. Matt displayed "excellent self control with patience" and went above and beyond and delivered the Genesis G90 to my home, on Sunday, his day off, and spent well over 3 and 1/2 hours going over all the features on the car. Finance person, Robinson Aswood, was exceptional and patient in assisting me to understand our lease agreement, and answering my many questions to understand the lease terms. Thank you Robinson. I am grateful for this car buying experience and all the people who worked with me at Brandon Hyundai. Thank you, Shannon & Richard Damschen, Realtors with Keller Williams Realty

Rob was amazing! By far the best car salesman I've ever had. He was knowledgable, accommodating, not pushy in the least, professional and friendly. He's a hard working veteran, who will work hard to get you a great deal. Be sure to ask for Rob if you want the best car shopping experience!

a great little wagon without the boring!

My last three cars were, in no particular order: 1992 Alfa Romeo 164-S, 2000 Toyota Corolla CE and a 1998 Volvo V70 AWD. The Elantra touring is not as sporty as the Alfa (what a great car! I never should have sold it...) not as comfortable or as unflappable in foot-deep snow as the Volvo (you could use the seats of that car for living-room furniture and feel like you spent thousands on the finest chairs available.. In fact the notion of buying a junk V70 just for the seats has occurred to me...) but man does it beat that old Corolla in every way possible! Heck, it beats the NEW Corolla in every way possible! the exterior is bland, but verry cohesive, the interior is simple, comfortable (the front seats are a definite step above the segment norm in both comfort and support.), and well put together. It also happens to be cavernous! For a small car the ET offers hugely spacious rear seats (the rear bench is a little firm and flat for long trips, but leg, head and hip room in the rear is excellent, and there's room to move and breath back there), and ignoring the don't-quite-fold-fully-flat seat backs, a giant cargo area for such a small car. The stock stereo sounds great, if not overly powerful (you pretty much have to max it to defeat wind noise with the windows down on the highway) the suspension is taught and well controlled, and you can easily startle yourself with how fast it will comfortably negotiate twisty roads. Body movements are very well controlled and at-limit handling (with the ESC off) is easy to manage. The engine power is adequate, nothing to write home about, but the excellent 5 speed stick makes it fun to wring all the juice out of. The biggest let-down is the somewhat numb-feelng electric power steering, the feedback is there, you just have to pay close attention to notice it. It's far from boring on a good streach of twitys, and though you won't pass a Mazda 3 or Golf GTI on the corners, you'll pass them when they stop for gas. I'm averaging 30mpg, and I'm not what you'd call a conservative driver. The ET has excellent ergonomics, excellent visibility, very good headlighs, teriffic brakes, great usibilty, an is a well executed and well-priced package. Even my base GLS model manages to kick out the blahs while keeping the bank account happy. All in all, if you need an afordable compact wagon and don't want to be bored to tears while owning it you can't do much better for the money. Did I mention the killer warranty, long list of standard safety features or low insurance cost? Yeah, those are nice too.

The Koreans understand large Americans

I had been driving 2 different '04 Elantra GTs since 2007. I loved the hatchback for storage and they were surprisingly roomy for 6'4" 280 lb driver. It was time to replace the second one - thought about going for another hatchback, but couldn't find a decent one - looked hard at Potiac Vibe/Toyota Matrix. Then found this - more room than the Elantra GT, but similar gas mileage. It's an SE - love the standard heated seats. The car came with brand new tires - when these wear out I'm replacing the silly 17" rims with 16" or 15" rims. Not enough rubber, so I'll lose some handling and gain a smoother ride. Other than that-it's a great time to purchase one because Hyundai is closing out all the accessories - was able to buy the sun roof wind deflector, cross bars for the factory rails, the cargo net, the rubber cargo tray, and a bumper protector for about $40.00! Needed space for camping gear and musical equipment, and a lower roof for putting kayaks on.

Good people, friendly, not a typical "used car lot". No hassle very straight forward.. I passed by saw they had a older Chevy 1500 truck stopped in 1 week later it had sold but the Manager let me know details on it. Honestly I was going to leave right after that but the sales manager started a conversation with me and I ended up looking at his Ford Rangers they do have like 4 or 5 there. They do show carfax you do not need to ask for it. Test drove 2 of them, drove really nice. I now will turn my attention to getting a truck for my son that is why I looked at the Rangers. If the sales manager does read this TOLD YOU I WOULD WRITE A REVIEW!!!
