Drive it, then try to turn up your nose.

I traded in a 2010 Genesis 3.8 premium for a 2016 3.8 AWD with the signature package. I was a bit of a brand snob and before buying my previous Genesis I shuddered at the proposition of owning a Hyundai. I liked the Genesis from day one.....but it's a Hyundai!? My 2010 Genesis was literally the best car I've owned. I've had a couple Lexus's, Cadillac, was raised in a BMW family, this Genesis beats them all. My 2016 is only a week old to me and it has surpassed all my expectations. Adequate power, great interior and ergonomics, bank vault quiet and solid. I drove a Mercedes CLS with AWD at the dealership I purchased from and the Genesis felt like the better car. You have to drive one. If you do, and your honest with yourself, you'll find those Hyundai preconceptions leave you in a hurry!

As a used car it is very good value for money. A top upgrade is the Unavi Nav-Entertainment package (3rd party). The only disappointment is the road noise in the cabin. It is louder than my old Ford Escape! It is still a "Wow!" car...drawing curious looks and inspections through the windows. On a 5,000 mile trip I averaged 30+mpg! Not bad for a V6.

DeLand Kia Review
Dealer personnel can make or break the deal
by Bruce G. from Ponce Inlet, FL
November 6, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.1 (163 reviews)
New car buying just isn't fun anymore. Every publication designed to help buyers negotiate is also privy to dealers, which all contribute advertising money to those same publications, so each party to a "negotiation" already knows what the other side is likely to come in with. There is no "secret" intel just for buyers anymore, and insurance companies, AAA, etc. all offer buying services. In some ways the "no haggle" car outlets make some sense in the current environment. The buying experience is now dictated by the quality of the dealership personnel dealt with, and in our case at Deland Kia we had a wonderful new salesman, Barry, assisted by a Kia distributor rep who was also a pleasure to work with. We ended up with a deal that we believed fair, but then nobody but the General Sales manager really knows if we did well or not. The inevitable bottom line is that when you drive off in a new vehicle, the dealer made money. And that's why they're still around with vehicles on display. Otherwise we'd be buying sight unseen off the internet.

Outstanding car, incredible value and reliability

Solid solid vehicle. It is well designed, incredibly comfortable and will most definitely age well. I'm so proud to own this Genesis. It has every bell and whistle that I once thought I could never afford, but this car was such a bargain, I'm still stoked that I was able to afford and own it. I don't know what else is there to say other than it is the best vehicle I've ever owned and I've owned quite a few (15 cars in 18 years). Buy this car, you will not regret it.

Trade 2016 Honda HRV
by HarveyHRV from DealerRater.com
December 3, 2018

So I purchased this 2016 Honda in April 2017, used...get a clean CarFax report at that time. Fast forward to now, and I really want to get a larger SUV again...preferably a Subaru Crostrek. So I pulled the most recent CarFax on my HRV only to find out that it had been in a front end collision and repaired 3 weeks prior to my purchase....I came in to Greenway, presented these facts to the used car manager, who was shocked AND agreed to give me full trade in value if I would come back and trade with them....reduced value was $2500 less. However they did not have a Crosstrek but did peespent to me some other options...ending up with an ultra clean 2017 Mazda CX-5 .... Teeko helped on the sales side and the used car manager found that the customer that traded the Honda in 2017 intentionally traded before the accident was reported to CarFax....the fact they took full responsibility speaks loudly of Greenway's commitment to do the right thing and take care of their customer! THANK YOU!

Went with Genesis because of the price and what you get with the car standard is what you’re going to pay another 10k at least to get on any of the other big name lux brands.

Headquarter Hyundai Review
Smoothing the Path for a New Hyundai Journey!
by Lisabeth Brown from DealerRater.com
November 5, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.7 (1013 reviews)
I love my cars and I don't give them up easily. When it became time to move on to a new vehicle, I began my research online. I have loved my 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe since I bought it used in 2005. It has taken us on many travels throughout the Southeast. I loved its size, its power on the road, and the space it provided for my teaching supplies. I wanted a clone for my current car; same size and color, but red is not an easy color to find. We located one at Headquarter. It was a Santa Fe, the original model with a 3.6 which I thought was what I needed for the power on the highway. On our first visit to Headquarter, sales friend, Nick Natole, was available for questions, but did not force attention on us. He was extremely upfront and helpful as he provided information regarding the comparisons of the Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Sport. My major concerns had to do with my depth perception and for some reason, I felt the Santa Fe's trunk was longer than what I was used to driving with my 2003. I did not test drive it on that first visit. We left the dealership with the intent to do more research for different types of SUV's. After visiting Nissan, Kia, and a few other dealerships, it became apparent that I would not find what I wanted without going back to the Santa Fe that had been a part of my life for the past 11 years. We returned to Headquarter and from the moment we arrived on the lot, we knew we were in the right place. From our test drive with Nick to the authorization of our sale with management and the financial experience with Roman, it was evident they were there to make me happy and to make this sales experience a positive one. Every question, every concern was met with honesty and with regard to my feelings. I drove away as one very happy owner of a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and we are looking forward to many happy adventures on the road.

Vehicle handles great. the 900 watt Lexicon Stereo in the Ultimate could use some improvement. it lacks certain bass frequencies. max volume on the usb is very low. i had to use a free software called mp3volumer to raise the sound level. boy did the stereo wake up. goes loud enough to hurt your ears. lacks carplay on the ultimate model. lots of vibration on the highway i assume tires and or rims are the cause. other than that it's a great car

Easy easy EASY way to buy a car!
by janders5511 from DealerRater.com

My old car was my third minivan in 15 years. Now that my kids are older and leaving for college, I wanted something that could carry 6 or 7 passengers but was ... well... NOT a minivan. I did some research on late model used three-row SUVs, and found the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. (My favorite of my three vans was a 2005 Nissan Quest, so choosing Nissan was easy for me.) Before I started browsing for cars, I applied for credit through Carvana, and was approved. Next, I entered in all of the information about the van I was trading for the Pathfinder. (Beware -- the trade-in amount is only good for 7 days, and it can change wildly in that time!) I was pleased with the trade amount, and it was great that I could shop for my new car and see my down payment and monthly payment for every car I viewed! My specifications were pretty clear -- AWD, less than 10,000 miles, and never a rental car. I found my dream car a few days later, and started the purchase process. It was quite smooth and the directions were very clear about what documents need to be uploaded. When I went to click on "finalize purchase" (or something like that), a red flag popped up...my trade-in value expired WHILE I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF CHECKING OUT! I got on chat with Carvana staff right away, and they were able to return the trade in value to NEARLY what it was before the expiration. This is something that needs to be addressed by Carvana -- once a customer is to a certain point in the process, those numbers need to be frozen. So we set a delivery time, and the Carvana rep was pretty much on time considering he was traveling 70 miles or so from the Chicago office. Everything was smooth -- signed a couple more papers, took my Pathfinder for a spin, Eric inspected my trade, and I left within 30 minutes with my new car. I would also like to add that I drove directly to my mechanic, so he could inspect the car and make sure I wasn't buying something with hidden damage. Mechanic said to me, "This car is perfect, like new." Just what I wanted to hear. Thanks Carvana! I am telling everyone I know about you guys. Good to work with you! Janet - 2017 Nissan Pathfinder

Easiest experience ever!
by Justin from Orlando, FL
November 6, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.8 (1095 reviews)
From start to finish this was the easiest car buying process I've ever had the pleasure to be a part of. I had visited roughly 15 other Central Florida dealers and they were all the same, they all wanted to play their dealer games. This is where Mullinax stands out. I was greeted by Nick Lange and right away both me and my father felt welcomed and knew we were in good hands. Unlike salesmen at other dealers, Nick actually knew about the product he was talking about and was able to satisfy any request my dad and I had. They have clear pricing, no pressure, a great inventory and are not actively trying to rob every customer that comes through the door. Without a doubt whenever my family or friends are looking to get a new vehicle Nick Lange and Mullinax is where I'll be going to! Do yourself a favor and start here for any new or used car search, I guarantee you'll save yourself a lot of time and heartache.

This car has far exceeded my expectations and 4 years after purchase, still surprises me with its intuitive designs. The comfort level driving this car is comparable to riding around on an expensive living room couch in a sound insulated room. Everything about the car from the stereo system to the "instant on in the rain" wipers to the tracking headlights, to the air conditioned drivers seat and so much more, scream luxury car. By far the finest automobile I persomally have ever owned.

Bought the car used with 50k on it. Still in very good shape. A lot of added options. Most frustrating aspect of the car is homelink and blue link. Can’t not get car to sync with garage door. And can’t start the car from bluelink app The 5.0 R Spec is a fast and Race handling. Once I see what the problems are. Should be worth the 17k I paid for it.

BEST Tire Prices ANYWHERE!!!!!
by Thomas Vanmeter from Oviedo, FL
November 5, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.8 (2146 reviews)
Outstanding! Greemway Ford's prices are the BEST!!! We were quoted MUCH HIGHER tire prices at other locations, at the dealership where we purchased the vehicle, and even online at the TireRack. We were amazed. We discovered costs to ship from online companies caused the total expense to skyrocket. We discovered tires provided from "discount" tire companies were OLDER when we reviewed the DOT number. We LOVED the option of the THREE YEAR ROAD HAZARD WARRANTY provided by Ford, which is the best we found anywhere and very affordable. We loved Greenway Ford offered a 12 month interest FREE credit card that was easy to obtain. We were treated like family by the advisors and have always had a great relationship with Kevin Swata who kept us up to date and showed us the importance of having an alignment completed as well. We certainly are happy with our purchase and experience!! Thank you......

I bought a 2015 black 3.8 Genesis with all available options packages less than a week ago. So far it's great. I do wish the rear seats could be folded down, but the biggest complaint I have is that there's no way to install a cargo net in the trunk that will corral bags of groceries, so I'm now having to transport groceries on the back seat floor to keep them from falling over. That complaint aside, I like its acceleration, stability, comfort, features (maybe someday I'll get them all figured out -- there are many), sound system (17 speaker Lexicon), and pretty much everything else about it. And for the money I paid, I don't think I could have gotten a better deal on any other car.

Overall great luxury barge
by Auto strada from Seattle wa
July 11, 2018

Great luxury car overall.last car was Lincoln ls(more sporty and fun, less room, nervous transmission)for 6 years, before that Oldsmobile aurora for 10 years, best American touring sedan of 1990 s. Faults with Genesis...seats material is uncomfortable,l cover it with a towel or cushion.Make sure to get the upgraded real leather! The ride is terrible over bumpy roads, most bouncy ride of any car l have ever driven! The Lexicon stereo has little base sound, just sounds like one giant speaker most of the time.My Lincoln 300 watt speakers(10)sounded better vs 500 watt 14 speaker Lexicon. l can't use the navigation, only accepts 3 entered letters, then goes to useless list of suggested titles.Probably needs expensive update to nav.to work. The armrests look so buitifull but no cushion at all, rock hard. The rear center consul ac vents blow hot when set to cold ac up front, the knob l swear turns itself to hot position. The electronic park brake after a freeway drive set itself on at red traffic light, had to turn off car to reset, turn it off.Never used park brake again! Most of these are minor issues. The poor suspension tuning is my biggest gripe.Take a long test drive on a rough road!!! If you always drive on smooth roads then it won t matter.Seattle roads are awfull! Overall it is a great car, great gas mileage compared to my last two luxury cars.Operating cost s should be much less.Regular gas(87)octane well save big bucks!!!Very fast in straight line,it is NOT a sport sedan at all!

I went to this dealership with my son just to look around so I can get some idea on how much used full size trucks are going for. I liked the selection and the prices were reasonable. Ariana was the person who helped us out. She was incredible. She was not pushy and she was a subject matter expert when it came to the right truck with all the features I was looking for and my budget. I highly recommend this dealership and ask for Ariana.

Well, I bought my car "Certified" used from Hertz Car Sales in Torrance, California. The reason I got this car was because my options were very limited based on the size of my family, income and credit report. I actually wanted a ford flex but the dealer didn't have any, so it was either a Chrysler 300 or a Hyundai Genesis Sedan 3.8 V6 Base Model based on what I was approved for. Maybe it was the heavy mileage on the car out the dealer which was 44,645 miles which I bought on February 9th 2014 but my car started to give me a lot of problems later at 60,000 miles which took me a 3 years of driving to get there. the first thing that failed was the power locks, all except the driver side stop working from one day to the next, so in order for me to lock and unlock my car I had to manually do it. Thankfully I had an extended warranty that covered 90% of the cost with my co pay of $100.00. To repair these 3 locks it was about $1,100 dollars at Glendale Hyundai that included parts and labor and apparently "reprogramming" the power locks. Now I have never in my life heard of power locks needing programming but whatever, the job got done. The Second problem is very serous and annoying to deal with which is the transmission, weeks after the car got the transmission fluid changed as "recommended" by the dealer and to comply with my warranty at the same dealership, it started to have gears 3 and 5 slip at random times of the day while driving it. It didnt matter if it was a hot or cold day nor did it matter if I warmed up the car or not, (I warm up my car before leaving anywhere) but gears 3 and 5 would slip making the RPM gauge go up to the 4,000 mark before it would make a very hard clunk noise and finally have the gear go into place to continue driving it. I took the car to the same dealer and though they were able to replicate the problem after leaving my car to them for 48 hours and the tech driving the car for 40+ miles there was not much they could do for me because I am the second owner of the car, I have to deal with my after market warranty. Unforruely though issues like these are indeed covered through my warranty, car needs to be doing this at all times in order for the adjuster to experience the problem and approve the costly repair of about $3,600 dollars for a transmission replacement out the door. Since my Genesis only does this problem at random times of the day or week it will never get done unless I pay out of pocket which I would rather trade in my car and use those extra $3,600 dollars as a down Payment and buy a new car. The last thing that has been giving me problems is the front windows, they sometimes dont want to open or close and as of today 6/14/18 my car has 78,438 miles in it and continues to be drivable but again all the things i mention except what has been repaired is a continuing problem and there is not much I can do but pay off the car and trade it in and get whatever the dealer is willing to give me for it and let someone else worry about the problems it has if it should continue to happen to them. I am 34 and have a family of 5 including my self so I do NOT floor my car or drive it all crazy for the transmission to be slipping the way it does. I have gone to forums for this car and seen people experiencing this problem with no resolve except to pay in cash and buy a new transmission, I feel that this is a factory defect but since there isnt thousands of people going through this problem a recall for this problem to get the transmission replaced free of charge will never happened. Because of this problem I Cannot recommend this specific model. If I would have gone with the 2012 Chrysler 300 with similar mileage I would be having even more problems with it including having constant problems with the gear box getting stuck in park, On the Genesis sedan When it didn't have any of these problems mentioned above, driving the car was an amazing experience. It has alot of power to haul your family in it and doesn't require a Turbo or a supercharger engine to do it like other cars and SUV do, If you can get one with low miles and I mean really low miles then I would reconsider buying another maybe even the R-Spec. Perhaps I am having all these problems due to it being a previous rental car that usually get careless drivers, i would recommemd to stay away from rental cars as a future car purchase. My next goal is to buy New and document all my driving conditions, maintenance and repairs.

My wife and I rented this car (in particular, a Genesis 5.0 Ultimate) to use as our drive-away car through Turo. It was a superb car for that, as well as for running errands in the days leading up to the wedding. The Genesis is really roomy on the inside - I'd compare it to a current Toyota Avalon in that way. The cabin feels relatively open, which is helped by the huge panoramic sunroof. All the materials feel expensive, except for some plastics lower in the car. The wood trim in particular looks really good. The car just feels well-built - even the door closing sounds awesome and solid! The model we drove had the 5.0-liter V-8, which is no doubt the best engine for this type of vehicle. It was surprisingly quiet most of the time, and the power delivery was really smooth. It also will shove you back into your seat if you floor it - not a slow car by any means. The car rides really well, too. I barely heard most of the cracks and bumps in the road, save for the really bad ones. The infotainment is basically the same as what you get in Hyundai models, but that's cool by me. It's touch screen and pretty easy to understand. We used the navigation a couple of times with no problem. Overall, I like this car a lot. I could see myself driving this every day no problem thanks to just how quiet and comfortable it is.
