Lasted Almost Forever

Traded it in after having it for 18 years with few problems. It's actually a Honda which Isuzu sold. It's the original "Odyssey" lower to the ground and with four swing open doors rather than sliding ones. It has a 4 cyl engine so it will win no races, but got 25 mpg for the life of it mostly in city driving. Also it was the first to have the 3rd row fit into the floor for more storage space if needed.
Spoke to Casey on the phone for a short time and set up a appointment to look at and drive the car we were looking at. Was more than excited to see that they had described the vehicle perfectly and had the best price by far on like vehicles that we searched online! Process was super easy and very comfortable. Best buying experience I’ve ever had! Would recommend them to anyone looking to buy. They treated me so good and had the best vehicles I’d seen on any lot that stocked affordable used cars. If you’re looking for ease of doing business and great cheaper used cars, do yourself a favor and go see Casey at Spartan! He’ll do you right!

This model is prone to severe rusting under the rear bumper I be seen 3 separate vehicles with it rusted all the way through in that specific area to the point the bumper falls off.
Pulls my 1981 Ski Nautique, rides great, no major maintenance problems except for the fan I replaced, and new tires at 80,000 miles.
13mpg in town, 19mpg on the Interstates.
Bought used in 2008 with 70,000 miles, and I love it.
Up front. Honest answers. Great salesman. Goes over paper work without pushing through. Very thurough. I would have to say the best car buying experience i have ever had. Very good process and personable dealership.

If you buy this truck you will either have had or have a water leak. Water comes in from the 3rd brake light or the seal or ??? ? This is the exact same truck as the chevy colorado, or GMC canyon. The truck guzzles gas but for a mid size truck its a good truck.
Cindy, as always, is very professional and knows her field. While this was a normal check up of the car, she made sure that it was in good shape when I came and picked it up. By that I mean she suggested the car needed its tune up, which I did not even think about.
The 2 issues. Every time, the last couple of years, I get service someone comes out from the dealer and asks if I want to trade in my car. This request is unsolicited and not asked for. Also, today, the day after the service I rec'd an e-mail from Auto Nation reminding me to service my car. It was just serviced.

I went from a full size truck to the i 370 and I love the comfort it has for a small truck. It has some cool features, like the MP3. The overall ride of the truck is good. I have two teenage kids that can sit very comfortable in the back. I can now ride in comfort knowing I'm getting a lot better gas mileage than I did in my full size truck. I am very impressed by the i 370's 242 horse power and the 242 foot pounds of torque. I'm over 6 feet tall so I really like the head room it has. And by the way the A/C is very cold.
Crew cab I-280 with manual transmission gets 20 mpg in town and 27 mpg on the road. All the little details a medium size truck owner would want- bed light, ample back area room, two position tailgate which allows full sheets of 4X8 plywood to be carried, locking differential, and easy to use controls. Standard tilt wheel and cruise control are nice. Vinyl floor covering is great for those who want an easy to clean work or hunting truck. Performs well on or off-road, and is quiet and comfortable on long trips. I couldn't ask for more from an inexpensive medium sized truck-
After countless rude and shady salesmen these guys were a breath of fresh air. Didn't bat an eye at running a Carfax, replacing the windshield or even putting new tires on. I will definitely look here for my next car!

When I purchased this car with 60,000 miles on it over 12 years ago, I had no idea I would fall in love. A lifelong truck or van owner, this purchase met my needs for a more car-like vehicle to tote around more than 1 passenger. It sits up high like a truck but has the interior comforts of a somewhat plush car - great sound system, super comfortable seats, and common sense ergonomics for the driver. Currently clocking in at just over 240,000 miles, this car has never let me down. If they still made these, I'd buy another one today.
Steve LeClaire was an excellent salesman--not pushy, and fun to work with. I am a 76yr old lady who has always wanted a truck--he couldn't have been more understanding and helpful! I am confident they will do everything to make me a happy customer. I Love my Truck!

Nothing fancy here, but reliable, economical and safe! I"ve been driving mine 70 miles each day and while it's not flashy or luxurious it does the job nicely and has given me no problems in 4 years....
Bought another vehicle from Berkenkotter, Greg Wolaver did a great job of meeting our needs and exceeding our expectations! Our family has been buying cars from Berkenkotter for over 20 years and have had great experiences every rime.
bought it new in 2008

I bought my isuzu i-290 brand new with 20 miles on it in tempe arizona in march of 2008. I am writing this review in september of 2013. The truck currently has 86,000 miles on it. I have put this truck through extreme temperatures both Hot and Cold. When I lived in Phoenix and Las Vegas for a year with this truck the temperatures got over 120 degree's sometimes. I then spent a winter in southwestern wyoming where the temperatures would get to -40 below at times. I popped the radiator on one of the -40 days but it was my fault because i didn't give the truck time to warm up. I have never had any mechanical failures on this truck other than the radiator at 10k miles in -40 below temperatures. This truck has been in Colorado for the rest of its life and i take it on road trips to phoenix without giving it a second thought. One huge bonus with the reliability factor is the 2.9l engine uses a timing chain, not a timing belt.
I bought this truck primarily for work and light duty applications.
Told Jeff what I was looking for, my price range & he showed me EXACTLY what I was looking for and drove home in it that after. Jeff went above and beyond to get me in my new car. This is the 2nd vehicle we bought from Ozzy’s. We have never gone back to the same car place, ever. We will be back when we have to replace our Jeep that we originally bought from them. Want the best? Go to Ozzy’s and ask for Jeff. Jeff is fun to work with. Remember. . . Ozzy’s Car Company and Jeff. . . You’ll drive home in your new vehicle.
I own a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo 2.2

Just like I said in the head line I own a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo 2.2 not a v6 but that is all they display it's upsetting when you look up the information on how much it gets on gas mileage it just says for a 3.5 again upsetting it's like that's all they make is the 3.5 disappointment to cars.com and anyone that just think about the v6 model
We picked up our car tonight! The process was a little complicated but they made it seamless. They were very accommodating and helped us to achieve the purchase of our new car. The car was detailed and very clean when we picked it up. They were very informative and we felt like we had all the information we needed to complete the transaction. We would recommend them! hard to find parts and get repaired

i love my ascender with a few exceptions. the interior door broke and the panel busted because my german shepherd was standing on the window. i've been looking for parts for weeks!!! i cant find anywhere around here including the chevy dealer that has parts. the suspension is very spongy buy smooth but that makes you towing a heavy boat... i was blown around by the wind and almost lost it due to the soft suspension. itd be nice for a small boat or trailer but i'd never get close to the capacity again. 5/5 if youare just using it as a family car.
I would give this place 6 stars if I could. Bergan was outstanding to work with. I don't think I've ever had a smoother experience, and he jumped through fire to get me back on the road. This place doesn't look like much, but is a total hidden gem. The appearance is very professional and they are completely by the book. I went for a test drive earlier at another dealership and they never even asked if I had any kind of identification, not the case here which made me even more in the confidence of this dealership. I will definitely be returning in the future if I'm wishing 500 miles. I got the feeling it's family owned and they really do have your best interest at heart. A must check out for your next vehicle.

Havnt done anything major except for brakes.. a alternator and regular oil changes..that's it..starts up every time..even when its bone cold outside..my only issue with this vehicle is that you can't check the trans fluid because its under the car...the best vehicle I've ever owned...I bought it just to hv a extra car around..and it out lasted my main car
I have been a customer for over 4-years and have purchased 2 cars so far. I am super happy with this dealer. I feel they are fair, and I have even gone back to them for other repairs from them - all great. I like their antique cars, too.
Truck is in excellent condition.

The truck drives great and has very low miles. I like the comfort of the seats and the extra space behind them as I am long legged. My overall opinion is that this is an excellent find, thumbs up on this one.
Dealership is so great bought another car from them, love this place, very accommodating, bring CASH for the best deal.

I love everything about this car, the handling is great, it it dependable, looks great inside out. this car hauls my pets to vet, my groceries every week, my items i buy at yard sales(my hobbie), all my other shopping oh so easy. there is so much room in the back, and when you let the back seats down such room.

Bought my ascender new in 2007 it now has 42,000 miles on it and the gas /fuel sending unit went out I looked online and found out that starting in 2004 these vehicles have had repeated problems with this but yet isuzu won't issue a recall on the vehicles even though it is clearly a defect in them . I had to have it fixed at my own expense . Shame on you Isuzu.
We went into the Mullinax Ford Apopka location after visiting numerous Ford dealers in the Central Florida area. Our sales consultant Jose Burgos listened to our request and for found that specific vehicle we wanted with little time wasted, after other dealers couldn’t. Jose went above and beyond working with us and as my wife said, this has the best experience we ever had in purchasing a new vehicle. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a vehicle, you’ll want to go to Mullinax Ford in Apopka and ask for request Jose!

I had a 2002 Izuzu Rodeo LS 4X4. The 3.2 liter v6 is a little bit underpowered. Mine was in good condition when I sold it. The beutiful green paint never faded or didn't shine. You might ask why did you sell it even know I liked it? Well, I'm an idiot and wasn't paying attention when I Plowed into the back of a semi truck and totaled it. I walked away from the crash unharmed. That just shows you that they're very safe. Otherwise, I loved my Rodeo and I'm going to get another one. You should get one too. It just might save your life like mine did.
