The finance team needs better personnel that is customer oriented and not out for a commission. I really like my car but will not be doing further business with this particular dealer. I should have gotten out of there when I saw another customer lose it with one of the finance reps on the day I went to make my purchase. They put a new rep Carlos, who was begging for me to give them 5 stars, supervised by another guy who was his supervisor who was worse with less knowledge of the details on the plans he was pushing by the name of Andrew. Had to get consumer affairs involved in my case as they would not return my calls.
We leased a car at Kia Yonkers and here is what happened: 1) car arrived to us with a nail in the tire and we needed to return to dealership to get tire replaced (luckily, they replaced at no charge), 2) the salesperson brought us the car because it took a long time for the car to arrive. Apparently on his way to our place he drove through a toll and never told us and we received the bill for that in the email, 3) they were late in ordering our registration, and we got two tickets for this for a total of $130. I've called several times to ask about this and either voice mails are full or the salespeople don't return my messages.
I've had new cars since every couple of years and this was the best experience we had. I got what I wanted no haggling. We were in and out when signing the papers. I highly recommend going to Smithtown Kia.
Albert was the sales associate that I had the pleasure of working with and I sincerely mean that. I had my 8 year old son with me and he was patient and pleasant through the entire experience. I’m very used to feeling pushed and pressured when car shopping but I did not feel that way at all. Jamall the finance manager was very understanding that my son was with me so he helped to expedite the process and get me out of the dealership as quickly as possible. I would highly recommend this dealership and these individuals in particular.
I first met Albert in the beginning of September when he showed me the KIA NIRO. I loved it and was impressed but not ready to buy. Albert kept communication open just enough- not pushy. I let him know I was interested, but not at that time. When it was time, Albert and the staff made it smooth and easy. I just went in and bought it. But Albert in particular was very good in just giving the information, backing off and not being aggressive at all. The service department and amenities in the building are very nice as well.
Albert Salib, Was my dealer, he approached me and my wife in a timely fashion, Albert answered all of our questions. What I liked the most is he was not pushy. We felt very comfortable with his manors and his pleasant way he went out of his way to help. We really were just looking. Kia was our first stop but because of Albert we never went any place. And now we are happy Kia customers G Phillips
I dealt with Mike Halliday as my salesman. He made us a great deal. He is a great guy and very knowledgable too. Makes you feel very comfortable, and before we leased this car we had many questions and he always responded quickly by phone or e mail to help us in the process. Dealership is A+. I love my new KIA Sportage and the purchasing process with Albert was smooth however the post purchase process has not been a smooth one. It has been a challenge to get the dealership to provide answers and updates on the mess up between them and the bank.
I would recommend this place to everyone. Worked with Sam he made the whole experience of buying a car very pleasurable. He knew exactly what I was looking for when I had no idea, he was very thorough and I left with no questions!!

After going to other local dealers, I tried Generation Kia, wow did I get lucky! I received professional, courteous service by Justin Rodriguez and the entire dept. They kept me informed of their progress, made suggestions, did my repairs in a timely manner and even took the time to review and discuss my warranty. Unlike ANY dealership I have ever been too! HIGHLY recommend Generation Kia for parts and service. They run maintenance specials too. Amazing service experience....This is my second Kia, both leased from Yonkers Kia. After mediocre buying experience and horrible service experience to fix issues with new vehicle, gave White Plains Kia a shot for 6-month/3,000 mile service....Appointment scheduling was a piece of cake, check-in was easy and pleasant, waiting area was clean, comfortable, and enjoyable. Approx. 90 minutes for service was amazing! Will definitely bring back in the future!
