I did quite a bit of test driving and reading about the various cars and suvs in the similar segment. I was impressed by how far Mazda has come along to design and built good looking cars, engines, chassis, etc. The CX-5 is a 2.4 L 4 cylinder developing 185 hp. The interior design and quality is up market. The exterior design is smooth and sporty. The engine for its size and power is very peppy and responsive. The suspensions are stiff enough to give you great handling and making you feel like a semi sports car on rails. The model i bought was a Grand Touring variant which has a sports mode and also a trip Tronic gear box. The trip tronic gear box is sensitive to your input of up shifting or down shifting but half a second slower from our input. The sports mode is wild and makes the car up shift and down shift based on our tune of driving. The sports mode and the Trip Tronic shifting combined is pretty responsive. The automatic gear is pretty smooth. I also found the road noise is reduced, no wind noise as the cabin is well sound proofed. The engine grunt can be heard inside when the engine is revving at a higher rpm. The overall comfort is good, little bumpy since the suspensions are stiff. The fuel consumption is not the highest in the class and gave about 23.5 miles per gallon. This is should be fact that the engine is towards more responsive and quick compared to a economy mode engine. The 19 inch wheels with 255 size tyres adds to the handling. Overall, I am happy with the car and would recommend to anyone looking for a family suv/cross over that is powerful, conformable and handles well.
After visiting several of the typical dealerships I walked away confused and Unsatisfied. After visiting Carvana.com I picked out a vehicle to my liking and price point fill out the paperwork got approval I had my new vehicle delivered to my front door. Most typical dealerships you spend half a day walking away with an overpriced vehicle in an overpriced interest-rate. This is a very comfortable car that drives smoothly. The complaints I have are about the positioning of the dashboard features. It is surprisingly easy to hit the hazards accidentally. The lights don’t turn off automatically when you shut the car off so if you have been driving a car with that feature it takes some retraining. Perhaps the most worrisome discovery is that occasionally the stereo stays on after shutting of the car and if you don’t notice drains your battery. It is a nice car but some design issues.
I had another in a long line of outstanding service appointments, thanks to Mr. Cleon Skinner. He takes great care of me and my vehicle, and I always leave feeling well taken care of and that I got great value. He is courteous, attentive and absolutely professional. Thank you, Cleon! You are the best.

The car has met all of my needs. I am looking to start a family and it's a perfect fit for my needs. The trunk space is awesome! The car drives so smoothly and I love the standard settings including bluetooth and the reverse camera is amazing!

The experience I had here was amazing! Eric, Sung-Ho, Thomas, and all of the staff were awesome! They weren't pushy and I never felt obligated to do anything or make a decision like most dealerships do even when I said I wanted a day to think about it before I made my decision to buy. From test driving to helping me get a better loan than my bank offered me, they helped every step of the way. They even gave me a rental when I was having something done to my car so I wasn't left without a vehicle. They were very friendly and polite, they made you feel like you were a part of the Hyman Brothers family. I highly recommend them to anyone who is trying to sell or buy a vehicle.

I keep finding more to love every time I drive it. Smooth ride, acceleration, roomy, nice sound system and all of the technology of new cars today.
We have bought a couple vehicles from Rick over the years and he has always been there to provide whatever service/information was needed in an expeditious manner. I have to say that this car has been my favorite vehicle of all time. The stability, the beauty and the reliability have all amazed me. I could not be happier.
I had my Mazda in for an oil change and safety check a week ago as my wife and I were getting ready to take a trip. After getting the car home I noticed a small amount of oil on the garage floor after the car sat all night. I monitored it for a few days and it never totally went away but did get less. Not sure if I had a problem or not I called yesterday and talked to Cleon and he said to bring it right in. 25 minutes later my car was on the lift and after checking they realized when the oil filter had been changed some oil dripped on the top of the plastic cover under the engine compartment. After sitting for a while that little bit of oil would let gravity take its course and dripped down under the car. So I didn't have an oil leak, just a small amount of excess old oil from the oil change dripping off the plastic cover. It would be nice if every time we got service or goods from a company everything always turned out 100%. That isn't the world we live in. So I appreciate that they owned up to the problem being less than 100% cleanup after the oil change. The fact they got me right in and checked everything, determined the cause of the oil dripping, and cleaned off the plastic cover to eliminate the problem, put my mind at ease. My 3 year warranty will expire next month but I plan to continue using Hyman for my car servicing. I feel in this situation they did a great job of fixing a problem!
All Wheel Drive Where can you go wrong

Purchased used with 24k miles. The all wheel drive has been a god send in the snow. I haven't had it for a full winter yet but i can tell it's already going to be way better than front wheel drive
Cleon Skinner is hands down the best service manager I have found of all the dealerships I've been in. He's kind, helpful, knowledgeable , and a pleasure to deal with. I live over an hour from this location. As long as Cleon is there, Hyman Brothers will be my choice of dealership.

I purchased this car brand new and it is one of the best all around vehicles that I have ever owned. It is sporty, roomy, fast, very comfortable, gets great mpg & has all wheel drive. I couldn't be happier with this car and I get compliments on it all of the time. I love it!
January 2018 when we left Ottawa Canada we clipped our side view mirror on our daughter???s garage door. We were travelling to SC to stay with our son and his family. They purchased our 2016 Mazda for us and we did not want to arrive at their place with a damaged car. Adding to our dilemma we arrived in Williamsburg/Newport News in the middle of a serious snowstorm. In spite of the hardship and difficulties caused by the storm (most businesses were closed) including the lack of staff Thomas???s staff ordered and installed our damaged mirror within two days. Not only did they replace the mirror but they checked our car to see that it was safe for our travel south as well as providing us with a free wash and vacuum. They were friendly, courteous and efficient. I highly recommend Thomas and this dealership.
I needed to follow-up on my previous review and say that Cavalier Mazda stepped up to the plate and paid me the difference between the diminished value and full value trade in. They proved to be a stand up business/dealership. Thank you Cavalier for doing the right thing.
Brought my Mazdaspeed Miata to Scott & his team for hard to find automotive problems (3). His technician, Jason, did a great job replacing fans for my A/C fix, found a pin hole in a vacuum line & Mat repaired a slow leak in my tire no one could fix. Scott is an excellent service manager and very knowledgeable in the field. His customer service team also excellent. Scott also supports our local Mazda clubs and keeps involved with them. Also, great pig cooker.....Will continue to have them take care of my service/repair needs & would highly recommend purchasing a car from their dealership! Bill Davis
I had really good experience at Cavalier Mazda. Fred was great. He was very knowledgeable and patient with me. He made sure I got exactly what I wanted, and was able to offer me a pretty good rate as well. He wasn't pushy and never made me feel pressured. Fred worked around my schedule and saved me a ton of time. I am very pleased with the quality of service I received and I absolutely love my new Mazda3.
I haven't bought a new car by myself in over twenty years. The salesperson Mike Barnett was patient, informative, and helpful. The 2018 Mazda has great gas mileage, excellent handling, the right amount of bells and whistles, and the color reminded me of my cousin's 626 from 1985. My trade-in was in not so far condition and they made an offer I could not pass up.
