I did an extensive research on Japanese SUV’s and I kept coming back to the Mazda CX5. This vehicle is beautiful inside and out and is amazingly smooth and quiet. It also has really good handling and plenty of power even with the 4 cylinder. I think Mazda gives the best bang for the buck of all the Japanese car brands. I highly recommend the Mazda CX5.

Everyone was so amazing! Very friendly and professional. Brian set up a shuttle back to my apartment, which was very convenient. He explained everything that needed to be done on my car and went over everything they did when they finished. He even provided pictures and videos. He kept me up to date the whole time. Jaelyn, the shuttle driver was so sweet and friendly. I really enjoyed talking to her. They made the experience very smooth with no stress or issues.

I love my 2018 Mazda CX-5 to absolutely no end! I have a blast driving it, and it is my first car. I have the Touring FWD model, but it does NOT skimp out on features, it has blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, back-up camera, Automatic Emergency Braking, airbags EVERYWHERE, and whole plethora of other safety features. It is very quick, reliable, and fun to drive. My only complaint is there is not much in the way of cabin storage. But it is not a deal breaker, since the trunk of the car has a large cargo area, and lots of room in the spare tire area. It has an amazing Bose speaker system and I was given this car for my birth day at about 30k miles, but it was purchased new. I have FWD (Front wheel drive) but it still does amazing in conditions like rain, and minor snow. It is also the only car from this segment that placed a good rating on the IIHS Crash Test. It is often on par with luxury brands like BMW and Mercedes but having the advantage of being half the cost and Japanese so it lasts forever and also since it's not German, the repairs won't cost a house mortgage. However, if you get a 2018, make sure you get an updated Navigation SD Card. I cannot recommend this car enough, it is perfect in nearly everyway. I am now a loyal Mazda customer, and will always have a Mazda in my garage, I trust them more than any other automaker. Perks: Large backseat (I am 6'1 and can for the most part fit comfortably in the back) Fun to drive Fuel efficient Safety Feature galore Reliable and cheap to maintain Excellent use of space Cons: If I had to choose, not as much cabin storage as I want, but I want more than the average person.

In Ocala from CT. Getting ready to head home, and noticed coolant was LOW. Spoke to Casandra from Service. She was EXCELLENT - professional, helpful, knowledgeable. Told us to bring our Prius in, and they topped off all of the fluids, and inspected our car NO CHARGE. No other dealer would be this GREAT, and extend such a COURTESY! If we move down here we WILL BUY our next vehicle from Gettel Toyota!!!

This is my second CX-5. This first was a 2016 I bought in 2019 and loved tremendously and then it was totaled when I was rear-ended by someone texting and driving during Covid. I drove a sort of hand-me-down Jeep for a while during the weird Covid period when everything was uncertain but knew I wanted another CX-5 as soon as I felt financially comfortable. The car is extremely comfortable, handles well and has a beautiful streamlined and simply classic look. My partner who is a die-hard Mercedes snob even loves it!

The service department was excellent. They accepted the voucher from a Honda "brother dealership" where I purchased the 2022 Mazda CX-5. We also had purchased a CRV from HOO about 6 years ago and have had excellent service; a far cry from the local Gainesville Honda. That is why we drive the 45 min......it is worth the drive.

I have the 2021 Mazda CX-5 Carbon Edition. The car is beautiful, sports mode is great for picking up speed on the highway, the app is great and it has all the features I wanted in a great price- sunroof, remote start, leather seats, etc. Drawbacks: Backseat: Car seat does not have as much room in the back (I knew this prior to purchasing, but I didn't think it would be that bad. Unfortunately I do wish it had more leg room especially as my 5 year old continues to grow). Tire pressure is not displayed inside the vehicle. This has already impacted me when I had a blow out on the highway, I had no idea my tire was losing air. Other than these factors, I am happy with my purchase.

I purchased my 2013 Mazda 3i Grand Touring Hatchback (manual transmission) in 2014 and the previous owner had put 30K miles on it. I've now got 140K and still love the car. Outside of recommended maintenance, the only repair expense I've had was I decided to replace the clutch. It hadn't failed but it was starting to show some slippage. I haven't even had to replace the brake pads yet! As for likes and dislikes that someone checking out this car might not notice just from looking, here are some negatives: 1) The 1-2 shift is always a bit notchy but others are smooth. 2) The 2.0L doesn't have a lot of power in the lower revs but 3000-4000 rpms it's pretty spirited (assuming you don't have four large adults in the car) 3) I ended up replacing the OEM headunit (the BOSE with Navigation) with an Eonon. I had issues getting the Eonon working early on but after a couple updates, it's been a huge improvement. 4) The biggest negative is that at some point, I'll have to let it go. On the positive side: 1) It handles great, 2) It carries a decent amount for its size 3) It gets good gas mileage (I used to average 35mpg but in recent years my driving in this car has been more around town and it's fallen back to 31-32.) 4) It's been extremely reliable. 5) The front seats are very comfortable (I'm 5'7" and the car fits me great. I imagine taller people would not be as comfortable.)

Test drove a used 2019 CX-5 two days ago and loved it. However, the exterior had a number of scratches and no sunroof, which is a must. Came home, looked online and found an immaculate 2018 CX-5 with only 31K miles at a Mazda dealer 70 miles away. Test drove it this morning and brought it home this afternoon. Smooth acceleration, quiet cabin, absorbs bumps nicely. Feels like driving a much more expensive care. Touring model gives you all the features you would expect in a much more expensive car. Looking forward to many years of driving comfort and enjoyment. PS Took a very critical friend with me to check out the car, and he had nothing but praise for it.

Was a bit put off by the fact that there’s one number for all Carmax is and. It’s hard to tell which location you’re talking to and if you’re talking to a person at that actual location. I understand they’re trying to consolidate things and make it easier, but I want to be able to reach someone, boots on the ground, at the location instead of talking to The call center. That said it seems even when talking to two different dealerships somehow the system sort out the messages but again it’s confusing. Overall, they were fast and friendly, we haven’t done a transaction yet but one thing that was surprising is the offer they gave me 10 days ago has now gone up by $1500. Much better experience than I had braced myself for frankly. So far the two cars that I was hoping to purchase turn out to be duds as they had some excessive wear and tear in spite of low mileage and otherwise good conditions. Maybe less discriminating on their inventory than the other dealers?

We have owned our 2022 CX-5 Turbo for 10 moths and it is a great vehicle. Our previous SUV was an Acura RDX Advance. It too was great but this Mazda is of a higher quality and $10-$15,000 less when purchased new. Every once in a while the doors don’t lock when I walk away (I have it set up to do so) and that is the only issue I have had in 10 months and 10,000 miles. I highly recommend any Mazda product. We also own a ‘21 Miata RF, have owned several Miatas along with a Mazda6 Signature and a CX-9 Grand Touring. All have been great vehicles.

Have had our 2022 for 8 months now. It's been great, the fit/finish and ride are superior, IMHO, then my previous CRV and Rav4 vehicles. The only thing I would like to see is a touch screen entertainment center rather then the manual knob. The interior is well laid out with quality accents, feel and quiet, again far superior to our previous SUVs. So far it's been mechanically sound with no issues and we are enjoying it very much.

I was shopping online and sent an inquiry and they were very quick to respond. Unfortunately the vehicle was sold very fast. They notified me right away and did not push other vehicles on me, which I appreciated.

Again! I have always had a great buying experience at Jenkins Mazda in Ocala Florida with Scott being my sales person. I mean face it, it's a psychological war as well. I say that cause this is the 7th new mazda vehicle I have purchased at Jenkins Mazda in Ocala. The thing is that I arm myself because I know there is going to be negotiations back and forth with other members of the Mazda team ( remember there is no I in team) but I must say the team at Jenkins Mazda is a well-oiled machine (Steven, Mr. Joe and the responsibilities of the finance staff) believe me I observe. Meaning each staff person doing their job well. I trust Scott and that's why I'm a repeat customer of his. I could buy my vehicles in Gainesville and save time and gas. However, I choose to come to a business where you are not just another number, and they know there is a very good chance that I will purchase a vehicle if negotiations goes well, it's a win win situation for all parties involved. Let's be real, they make money and I'm happy with the purchase of my vehicle (the last thing I know they do what to hear is I'll sleep on it) This is my review again, more detailed. The sound system is amazing. I upgraded my old Mazda 3, 2015 to a 2023. The inside is much quieter. I love my heated seats. We've owned many Mazdas and have loved them all. The reliable little cars with great gas mileage.

Other than an error code that was fixed about a month after purchase. The CX-50 has been a pleasure to drive. Very responsive and once you get used to the safety feature built into the cruise control that is fine as well. It will slow down automatically when approaching a slower moving vehicle. If you change to passing lane it will then speed up until set speed or you approach another vehicle. Gas mileage is 24 city and it seems like 28 to 30 highway. Not actually calculated that but miles oer tank increases. Love the car but for me back seats seem to sit too straight. Not sure if they can recline or not.

Our 1st service visit to this dealership was SUPER. Our Service Advisor, Jim Berlin was absolutely a very good Service Advisor. His display of knowledge, friendliness and helpfulness went beon great. He did everything possible to help handle the un-expected repair costs. We know the service was needed and feel it was a fair price for what needed to be repaired. I had a great experience with the service department this morning. Fast, professional repairs and excellent communication and customer service overall from Brian Collins and his team.

Purchased the PHEV a little over 1 year ago and put 12K+ miles on it so far, and I like it a lot. Its stylish, quiet and great on gas. I consistently get over 70+ MPG around town and 35+MPG on longer trips. However, I *strongly recommend* the L2 charger as it cuts charging time down to 2.5 hour with 29 miles range. Without it, the L1 charger takes forever. I went with a 30W auto splitter on my dryer plug for under $140 on Amazon. Its amazing! However, even if you switch to gas, the Hybrid system averages 26 MPG with standard driving. My only complaint so far is the connection to Google/Apple play sometimes drops for seemingly no reason 1-2 times a week and the reactive driving can be touchy. Overall, very reliable and fun to drive. I highly recommend.

Bought the CX-90 in early Feb. 2024 and immediately drove across the country and back. No issues at all. After 4,000 miles, the actual performance was consistent with all of the video reviews. Very comfortable interior with high end feel.Apple Car Play worked seamlessly with GPS system Waze. Hands free controls was smooth and prompt. PHEV experience was solid. Love the charging prioritization feature while driving. Takes about 2 hours on the highway to reach a full charge so that at destination you can operate on EV mode. At home, Level 1 charge takes about 10 hours (overnight) Wish the 26 mile EV range was more like 50 but maybe in future models. Combined MPG with 98% highway driving on the road trip was 25.5 mpg. Overall, so far so good. Vey happy with the purchase.

I brought my mom to a Jenkins dealer and it was such a mistake! They tacked on so much (10k) and were basically jerks. We left with such a bad taste in our mouth. Came to Automax and had such a great experience! Haley didn't try to upsale us, she even told my mom when she thought the more expensive vehicle wasn't something she needed. Helped us to get even more off of the already lower price. Everyone we dealt with were amazing. We drove over an hour and it was worth it. 10/10

Car is perfect for my needs. It is spacious and well designed. 9nly problem is the passenger airbag light activated when passenger seat is empty. Very annoying. You see it every time you look in your rear view mirror. Easy fix a piece of matte black masking tape.

My husband and I purchased a 2023 Kia Sportage. This is our second vehicle purchased from AutoMax Ocala. Both times we had great experiences and will continue to come back for future purchases. This time we purchased our vehicle through Noah. Communication with Noah was great through the whole process. It took us a few days to seal the deal and Noah was patient with us and did not put any pressure on us and was just there if he needed him. Overall, enjoy my Mazda CX Premium. Pros: Great Handling and solid stance, prefer the lower to the ground/wagon feel, priority on driving vs tech. Google maps and streaming and I am happy Cons: Short driver seat lacks support. Fabric seats in premium have developed a few snags, Infotainment bugs (I like the knob): can add same station to favorites multiple times, statelite always starts at beginning versus current station, and screen dimming auto dim required reading online forums to see the dashboard buttons override the infotainment vehicle setting. Lastly the IP plastic/crystal had to have replaced due to scratch and replaced one still seems low quality. 24 MY upgraded the suspension to make softer and the steering is not as heavy.

I get around 26mpg in highways. City it's around 20mpg. Easy to drive around and looks great. Premium interiors. Nice pick up and sports mode boost makes it even more fun to drive! No maintenance issues for my 2022 CX-9 yet.

There are a lot of professional reviews that state the absolute fun of driving this vehicle. After owning this car and driving in multiple traffic conditions in south Florida, I have to say that the reviews are completely correct. I've owned my share of cars, including some sports cars, like a 2021 WRX (manual tranny) and a 2004 RX-8 (auto tranny). This 2022 Miata MX-5 definitely beats the WRX hands down in drivability and fun. It also edges out the RX-8, but the rotary is something in its own class. My favorite thing about this car is the gear ratio. It fits in almost every driving condition. There's plenty of room in 1st and 2nd while in rush hour traffic, and if you want to step on it, holy cow! This car is F>A>S>T>!!! It's reportedly set to go to 60mph in under 6 seconds, and I believe it. After 500 miles on the odo, the car seemed to open up and got even more fast and fun. At first I thought the cockpit was too small. After getting into this car from my Mazda 3, I felt cramped and a bit claustrophobic. That lasted about three days. Now it feels totally natural and comfortable. I'm 5'9" and slender build, so I really fit in this car. Someone above 6ft tall and larger build would probably feel tight. This is a glorious go kart, with a Bose stereo, terra cotta leather seats, and platinum quartz color. It corners like no one's business, and if I turned off my traction control, it would drift beautifully. With the traction control, it catches and corrects in an intentional slide. The turning radius is ridiculously tiny. Throwing the top open takes about 3 seconds, literally. The seats have speakers in the head area for calls and the higher pitch of the Bose sound. This is my daily driver, and I love it. If you have a partner who has a larger car for the more practical notions, go get one of these before you turn 80. You'll be glad you did.

Due to my health, I was having trouble getting in and out of my SUV. I had to downsize to a car. So, thanks so very much to Anthony working with me all day long, because I am so picky. He did not lose his temper, he did not lose his patience. He was very polite, very nice and smiled through it all. I finally found a car that I love.
