Born and raised in the great Chicagoland area but haven???t lived there since 1985. Motor Werks has always been a leader in the luxury car market there for as long as I remember. When I found the vehicle online I was searching for at Motor Werks in Barrington I was put in contact with Sales Specialist Mark Smith. Was I concerned about purchasing a vehicle site unseen? Not at all! Working through the process with Mark Smith was seamless and transparent. From Mark to Rashard in Finance I was treated with honesty, respect and like family. I flew in to O???Hara Airport and took the Metra train to Barrington station where I was met with a Motor Works representative. The vehicle was just as stated, immaculately prepped with a full tank. Took it for a test ride and was very happy. Paperwork was a breeze, took delivery and was on the road and home to Minneapolis for dinner that evening. Mark Smith followed up with a phone call the following day to insure my trip went well. He again contacted me a month later to make sure I was satisfied and if there was anything else he could he???ll with. I highly recommend Motor Werks in Barrington, IL. We started our process looking for our next car by looking around all over the internet for the perfect Mercedes. As fate had it, our perfect match for an E400 was located at Mercedes-Benz of Hoffman Estates. At the time, my wife and I only were in the beginning stages for figuring out what our next car was going to be. It was a Saturday we planned to test drive cars and then review what we liked/didn't like and buy at a later date, Once we met with our assigned sales member, Greg Bolte, we knew we were in good hands. Greg gave us the overview and tour of the E400 we were considering and answered all of our questions with the utmost care and professionalism. After the test drive, Greg was genuinely interested in our thoughts and what we were looking for. Even though we were in a spot to buy as inventory moves quickly, Greg and Tom were never pushy or aggressive with their sales technique. A technique that both my wife and I appreciated. We took time to think over the prospect of buying the E400. It just made sense and these were the people we wanted to give our business to. The buying process and financing team that we worked with, including Jose Gomez, were a breeze to work with for this purchase. The team kindly stayed late past closing to ensure we could drive away that evening in our new car. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We made the decision to drive from West Michigan to Knauz after the poor experience we had at the BMW dealership in our town. From the beginning when I inquired online about an X4, Yale was so helpful and friendly. The dealership was able to get the car ready quickly so we could come see it on our days off. Yale kept in touch and sent us pictures and assured us the car looked great so we wouldn???t be wasting our time driving there. When we saw the car, we were amazed, it looked brand new! Yale went on the test drive with us and was able to explain all the features of the car (something that didn???t happen when we did a test drive in Grand Rapids). When it came to buying the car, Yale showed us all the comparables and Knauz had the best price, but they even took off a little more for us driving all the way there. The financing process was great and no pressure to buy extra warranties, products, etc like had happened with our last used car. They even kept our car overnight (covered up inside!) and had a BMW genius meet with us the next day to set our car up (nav, phone etc) for the ride home. We can???t say enough about the great buying experience at Karl Knauz and everyone we worked with there. We will keep them in mind for ours and family & friends next BMW purchase!
I came here (a long way from home) based on so many positive reviews of this dealer. I read the reviews and many were of Roland (Rolly). I just went in and asked for him. Great experience with him. No typical car dealer BS. Willing to work the numbers on both the trade in and the purchase. Very fair. He and the other personnel went out of their way to exceed my expectations. Loyalty just started with Rolly and Knauz.
I was looking for a specific car that was at this CarMax. Problem was that I live in Minnesota, not Chicago and would have to traveling a great distance for a car I had not seen other than in pics, potentially risking wasting a great deal of time and money. I had to trust Jonathan, my salesman, to tell me the condition of the car where the pics could not. He was completely honest and the car was exactly what he said it was. Between Jonathan and Adam, the sales manager i was able to close the deal and drive back to home within an hour. I am completely pleased with the car and 100% satisfied with the dealership. I guess you can trust a car dealership. I did and they did not let me down. Thanks guys.

I was interested a pre-owned Acura that the Autobarn had for sale. I had discussed the car with one of the sales managers, Jonathan, on the phone the day before, and had done my research. I called the morning of our visit and spoke to Sam to arrange a test drive. When we arrived, our salesman Sam was waiting for us, and the car was prepped for our test drive. The car was as described on their website - no surprises. We decided to purchase the car. The whole process of negotiating a sales price and valuing our trade was really easy and smooth. We never felt the pressure that is common at car dealers. Their finance person Chris got us a really good rate on our loan, even making calls to people he knows at the various local banks. We are very happy with our experience at the Autobarn.
Over the summer I was shopping for a new car. I went to several dealerships with my husband trying to narrow down my search I had a few cars in mind but wanted to check them out. My husband suggested we go check out a few SUV models at Mercedes. It was a Friday around 4pm. I think most of the people just wanted to go home and couldn’t wait to start their weekend. Out comes Sylvia and sees my husband and I looking and immediately gives us great information on the car and offers a few suggestions based off of what they have on inventory. She made us feel instantly comfortable with her and took us out on a few test drives to compare some models. Honestly if it wasn’t for her I may have gone with another car, but her immediate customer service made us feel right at home, we even bought two cars and came back the next day to take home the second the car! Flash forward 4 months later and my car gets a flat tire. Thanks to Sylvia keeping in touch and checking in on our purchase every once in awhile I knew exactly who to call and get some help. Mercedes roadside assistance towed my car right to the dealership and I had it fixed as soon as possible the next day. Joe in service was fantastic in getting this taken care of and even had me picked up from home so I could go get the fixed car and make it to work. I highly, highly recommend getting the tire warranty it is worth every penny especially living in Chicago with all the potholes and construction. Joe and Sylvi made a terrible situation feel so seemless. They really know how to take care of their clients.
All around good experience and treatment. If I don’t know what’s going on with the vehicle, I can easily find out by asking questions to the dealership.
