Went to test drive an E350. Was greeted by salesperson shortly after walking in to the showroom and instead of immediately trying to "sell" me something, asked which model I was interested in and then asked me if I'd ever driven one. I replied I hadn't so instead of launching into a sales pitch, he offered me a test drive so I could be sure I even liked the car before we started talking about buying or leasing and pricing. Was very impressed with how I was treated and how easy it was to shop at Silver Star!
I am a happy customer that is consistently treated well by everyone in sales, service and finance at Lexus of Thousand Oaks. This is the fifth RX I have leased from super star Lora B! Each time I lease from her, she makes this process smooth, fast and painless. I appreciate that she is always available no matter the time of day to answer questions. She patiently takes the time needed to make sure I understand the changes in the RX from year to year. When I bring my car in for service, Steve L. is also consistently helpful. He is courteous, professional and makes each visit a breeze. Both Lora and Steve go out of their way to make sure my concerns have been met and that I have a loaner car if needed. I honestly appreciate the positive experiences with sales and service that I have had over the years. I have leased from other companies and there is no comparison when it comes to the level of customer service that Lexus of Thousand Oaks offers. My husband and I are both currently driving cars from Lexus of Thousand Oaks and have referred friends that are also happy customers.
I worked with Jan from Carvana- she was able to explain to me the process, make sure I was comfortable with where it was at, was able to be reached and kept communication open. The pick up process went smoothly and I was able to sell my car without any glitches.
Although I didn't end up purchasing a vehicle from STA, I'm happy to have discovered them. Jonathan took care of me right away, and allowed me to fully test the Cayenne GTS that drew me to the dealer.
Things to note -
This 3rd party dealer specializes in Porsche sales and repairs, that means they have a great inventory of older to newer Porsche's for sale and a full mechanic shop on site.
So why not 5 stars overall?
Well, unfortunately the GTS they had wasn't in the best shape and clearly needed some TLC before being shown for sale (car parts in the trunk, battery dead, ash tray stuck open). Now this could have been due to bad timing on my part but still - if you are going to specialize in Porsche sales and charge at the higher end of the cars value then the cars on the lot need to exude the German values the brand is known for. That being said I have my eyes on future offerings from this dealer and hope something wows me into a sale next time.
Had an amazing experience with Silver Star. I dealt with Ryan Huffman, first through the internet and then in person. Throughout the whole process he was friendly and informative but never pushy. He let me take my time with the decision and was the total opposite of what I expected a car salesman to be like! The rest of the staff was super friendly, and while I was walking around several salesmen approached to see if I needed help. Financing and paperwork was easy to get through ... overall got through the test drive and paperwork in about 3 hours. Much easier and simpler than I expected it to be! Highly highly recommended.
I recently bought a 991.1 S Cabriolet from Sports Trend and could not be more satisfied with the experience. This was an online transaction with the vehicle shipping sight unseen to RI, so I very much appreciated the high level of integrity I found in Randy, the good communication at every step in the process, and how everything went fine with no surprises or anything unexpected at any point. We just bought a Certified Pre-Owned 2015 MDX and we couldn't be happier. The car has low mileage and feels like a brand new car. After a long day of dealing with some shady dealerships, including one who didn't tell us a car we wanted was sold the night before we drove an hour to possibly buy it, Center was an Oasis of Calm and customer service.
Richard was a fantastic low/no pressure sales guy who gave us lots of time to test drive 2 different cars, and after the deal was done, he spent time showing my wife many details about how to operate this wonderful technical marvel. We brought our 2 small kids with us, and the dealership was very helpful and understanding.
Center is an upright and reputable dealership with some of the best quality Acura vehicles in Southern California. It is spotless, clean and comfortable. They will be our first stop next time we need an Acura.
