On Tuesday, June 13, 2017 we (wife, very small dog and I) were traveling in a Sprinter RV and were 125 miles from our destination. The Add DEF dash light came on. I know nothing about Mercedes diesel engines but read they need DEF to run. I poured a gallon of DEF fluid in the receptacle and re-started the engine. I hit the road for another hundred miles and at 4:40PM the You have 10 starts left and Check Engine lights came on. In a panic I phoned Mercedes of Jackson and was connected with their Sprinter Tech. Jeff Turnage. I told him I was 15 miles from him and was in trouble. Jeff assured me that, even though he was to get off work at 5:30PM, he would stay until I arrived and see if he could help.
I got to the dealership around five oclock. Without hesitation Jeff dove into diagnosing my problem. It took a lot of detective work to figure out all of the problems with the vehicle and which NOX sensor/s needed replacing. During the process Jeff was congenial, informative, tenacious and extremely thorough. Ill shorten this review by just saying that during the next four hours he made the necessary repairs to our vehicle and had us back on the road at nine-thirty.
It is with the utmost respect and appreciation that I commend Jeff Turnage for his professionalism, skills both professional and personal and his dedication to provide the highest degree of service.
Thank you Jeff.
