Excellent service always

Have been taking my Smart cabriolet to the MB Center for regular maintenance for most of its life, ever since the original Smart in Beaverton closed in 2010 (or '11?). At this point, it has over 106K on it, so that's a fair few oil changes and tenX-thousand-mile tuneups. My Smart runs great, has never broken down, and my experience here has always been above and beyond. For example, this summer there was recall work to do, and I thought I needed an oil change so scheduled that at the same time. Noel checked the service history (as he always does before a service); turned out I didn't need the oil change, so he took it off the schedule before I arrived - and still offered me chocolate even though there was no charge for the recall work ;). For comparison, three years ago I moved to Corvallis and tried an oil change with the local German auto place; about 2 weeks later the engine light came on, first time ever, and that seemed not right, so I took the car back to MBC of PDX for diagnosis. Sure enough, a part that doesn't come loose by itself had been loosened. Noel handed me his card with the invoice for the diagnostic and 5-minute fix, and said if Horton's did not immediately repay me for it to call him directly and give them his card. They balked at first, but did repay me before I had to call him. Now I drive to Portland for service because I know that my car is being taken care of by ethical experts who know their stuff and care about their customers. Absolutely awesome people.
