As a previous owner of and Audi A3 TDI (diesel) we had no choice but to turn the car back in to Audi/VW due to the emissions settlement with US Gov't. As a car we absolutely loved the car and it's performance and fuel efficiency. At the point we went to our local VW dealership here in Orange Co. Ca. and found a VW Jetta stationwagen that was a turbo diesel with fantastic fuel efficiency and a slew of options! The dealer price listed was over 25.5 K for a car with 24 K miles... The car was in immaculate condition and was tempted to buy it, but figured l should go online and search for the same car at a better price. This is when I stumbled upon MINI of Tucson. I called the dealership and was connected to Sam Rodriguez who informed me that he had the exact same car but at thousands less. Fearful of buying a car out of state and not laying eyes on it, I was hesitant to buy a car sight unseen. Sam, went way out of his way describing every aspect of the cars condition and provided many photos that I requested of every aspect of the car. He happily obliged. The best part was that the car had only 8800 miles on it and was priced thousands less at 2294...and Sam/Mini of Tucson was shipping the car to Laguna Beach was included! We took the dive and the car arrived about a week later and the car was exactly as Sam described it! This was truly the easiest car purchase I have ever made. Moreover the car comes with a great powertrain warranty! FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY! Thanks Sam and Mini of Tucson!
I wanted to share what I consider a great example of awesome customer service. On Sat. About 4:45 pm my dash board light came on with a big ol engine logo , I looked it up ( Google) & it sounded
BAD! I parked in nearest parking lot I could find & @ 4:58 pm called Mini of Tucson ( they close at 5 pm & service dept closes @ 3 pm on Sat) I absolutely lucked out..a very nice & compassionate
man by the name Eddie Madigan answered the phone, listened to me stress out, he surmised it was ok for me to drive my car to Mini of Tucson ( 10 mi away) & calmly told me he would wait for me & would put me in a loaner for the weekend so no chance of further damage to my car. I got every red light along the way..almost 1/2 hr later I got to Mini of Tucson. He showed concern for my stress as well as for my car issue, had the loaner ready & off I went , home safely.
If u personally know me u know I truly adore my Mini ( IttyBoo) & that I am true Miniac Maniac so please take my advise & if u r considering a used or new vehicle ...Give Mini a try , & be sure to visit

I never before trusted a dealership, believed they would overcharge or make stuff up. I told this to Evan at the service desk and he said he understood, but give them a chance. I just put a new engine in my 2003 mini and the independent mechanic who did the job said my computer was probably bad because at emmissions the computer wouldnt communicate, and to take it to another independent he recommended who has horrible reviews. I didn't know who to trust. At Mini of Tucson, for $70 or $79 they did an all around check of car and computer:nothing wrong with computer. Other places quoted over $100 to evaluate. Evan took it to emissions to make certain it was alright. The whole experience was positive, very professional and Evan was knowledgeable ,respectful and really great to deal with. I'm planning to take my car there again. Needs more work but they weren't at all pushy or using scare tactics.
