Great little car for the $$ - widely misunderstood
by NJ suburbanite from Short Hills, NJ

I've had it with 'experts' car reviews which compare all cars equally. This is especially misplaced when reviewing a 'limited purpose' vehicle such as the i-miev. The i-miev is a super cute, super cheap to buy AND run and very fun to drive vehicle. It is reasonably safe and comfortable, and extremely reliable with very little maintenance requirements. What it is not is something that can be used for a road trip or driven in snow, and it is certainly not a luxury car. Those of you old enough might compare it to the VW beetle. It's great as a 2nd car for suburbanites shuttling kids within a 10 mile radius to school and activities, or a station car, or for a college kid to have - with their parents knowing they cannot go on a road trip! For us in suburbia, we juice it up at home and use it for about 70% of our driving. It feels great to not burn gas, too - in addition to the enviro, benefits, consider that the U.S. does not import any fuel to make electricity, but imports more than half the fuel to make gasoline and diesel.
My wife and I recently purchased a used Honda from Honda Motorwerks and we had a great experience. We worked with Susan Hoghaug and Bill Fitzpatrick and they both made the process very simple and informative. Normally things can feel rushed or confusing but they took their time and walked us through everything thoroughly. The waiting areas are also nice, our toddler enjoyed the giant chalkboard and kids play area. We will definitely buy another vehicle from Honda Motorwerks La Crosse in the future!

Silent, efficient, more capacious than a Nissan Leaf with the back seats down and completely flat floor, very tight turning radius, super-easy ingress/egress, lots of headroom and elbowroom, fun to drive with very low center of gravity, almost zero-maintenance, ridiculously-low operating cost, and useful for >99% of our family's daily driving needs. Ideal commuter car.
It's got a unique look, to be sure. It may not have a ton of horsepower but it can GO from a dead stop faster than almost any car around you. It's small size makes it a perfect city car, and if you need something reliable and inexpensive for commuting you really can't beat it: I spent at or under $20 a month to charge this car at home. For maintenance: no oil changes, just routine tire pressure checks. Even inspections are cheaper without any emissions to check! Bottom line, this is a fantastic budget vehicle and definitely eye-catching.
This is the second time I have used the service department for my Sante Fe. Each time the team members that I have had contact were professional and very helpful. On this visit a small request was overlooked. And b I mentioned during final review of the service the service manager immediately sent my car back in and had the issue resolved in less that 10 minutes. I have been very pleased with each interaction.
My first electric car - affordable and practical

I picked up this car for $5,000 used, which includes taxes and tags. It gets me around town no problem and I am never wanting for extra range. It can travel 62 miles on a charge and I never seem to need more than that in a day. I got a charger so that I can charge in 8 hours, but I'm finding that the stock charger that comes with the car is really all I need about 95% of the time. This car is fun to drive and uses NO GAS! Since it's "tank" is full every time I leave home, I haven't needed to charge at public charging stations yet and I've owned the car for a month and have driven about 600 miles so far.
Absolutely love Lowery???s Brothers! They truly helped me get an amazing car and it was such a great deal! I would totally recommend going here if you want a car! You won???t be disappointed!
Most Affordable Electric Car on the Market

The I-Miev allows you to get into the pure electric car market at the most affordable price in electric cars. The acceleration on the I-Miev is like nothing you have experienced in gas cars. Since there is only one gear there is no pausing during acceleration, it is pure.
The rear seats fold down which gives you a tremendous amount of cargo capacity. Electric cars have many less moving parts than gas cars so maintenance is much cheaper. Drive one and you will be a believer.
Went in to inspect a car that I saw online and drove it home that day. The most pressure free car experience that I have ever had and great finance department.
Hidden Gem of an electric car

"i didn't know Mitsubishi made an electric car" is the comment I hear most when showing this car to people.
If you're looking for a fun driving, dependable in town vehicle, test drive this car.
I have "owned" my car since February 2013. It's a 2012, ES model. Mitsubishi significantly reduced the price of the 2014 compared to the 2012. A 2013 model was not produced for the United States market.
The battery pack, motor and controller are all the same from 2012 to 2014. The body is also exactly the same. The 2014 ES model includes many of the features that were additional price options on the 2012 ES or the higher priced SE model.
For example, the DC/DC quick charger is now included with the base price.
The 2014 comes with a dual amperage, EVSE. This is the electric cord used to charge the car. It plugs into a standard 120 volt outlet and can charge the car at either 8 or 12 amps. Many electric car owners also install a 240 volt (level2) EVSE at their house.
Over the past 12000 miles the only service I have done with the car is putting air in the tires and water in the windshield washer dispenser.
With the battery pack sitting under the passenger compartment, the low center of gravity makes driving this car feel like a sports car.
The car seats four adults and has additional storage behind the rear seats.
My car is on a two year lease that expires in February, 2015.
This team is very responsive and cares about their guests! I submitted several requests to various dealerships looking for a vehicle and though I received initial answers back, Oakley is the only one that cared enough to stick with me and help me find a vehicle that fit my budget and taste. With them being in Branson and me in Springfield, I didn't want to make several trips back and forth. I wanted to hash out the details beforehand to ensure it was a workable choice for me and my budget. Chad patiently let me hash out the details with him beforehand via text and email so I didn't have to make several trips there. Chad sent me pictures of the vehicles that fit within my guidelines and I went over the links and carfax reports with a fine tooth comb, texting him questions along the way as they came up. He was very responsive and worked with me the way I wanted to handle it (via text and email). Chad had Chris go ahead and get me pre-approved for the loan and when I finally narrowed down my choices, all I had to do was make one trip there to test drive and make a decision! Bada Bing, Baba boom! Doing it this way worked well for me. I didn't feel any pressure to make a hasty decision at all and it proved to be an efficient trip when I went. Chad's goal was to find the right vehicle for me and he nailed it! I highly recommend this dealership and Chad!!

Does everything a car should with no pollution. I will never buy a petro burner again. Got my 2012 new at dealer for 12.5k
My experience at Don Robinson Mitsubishi was fantastic. I was very amazed at the knowledge of my salesman and the overall quality of the vehicle I purchased. I would definitely recommend Don Robinson Mitsubishi if you're considering buying a vehicle.
So Far So Good

What is old is new again: the electric car from the dawn of the auto age is back reinvented, modernized, improved and advanced. No the i-MiEV is not perfect but for in-town urban running about, it has no equal.
I bought a 2006 Chevy Silverado from this dealership and have been very pleased with the truck. They gave me a good deal on my trade and were able to find a very reasonable loan with a good interest rate. They are family and locally owned which is awesome too.

Best thing about this car is NO WORRIES! no gas, no oil, just drive. Fun to drive, has all the bells and wissels like Navigation, Bluetooth, power doors and windows, remote start.
Ed Nunez made purchasing a vehicle very simple. No pressure, honest and answered all my questions. Facility is well kept and entire staff was friendly. My entire family purchases their vehicles from Auto Lenders....best place around!
Zippy RWD electric city car, good value

A worthwhile electric city car (considering you can buy the 2012 version used for ~$5k)
Zippy rear-wheel drive performance with incredible turning radius
Surprisingly large on the inside, especially for hauling stuff in the hatch with the rear seats down
Don't expect good range on this car... it only has a 16kwhr battery pack. With the heat or defroster blasting in the winter, range can be as low as 35 miles per charge at freeway speeds. I highly recommend getting one that has a quick charge if there's a charger in your city (all 2014+ model years have quick "DC" charging standard called CHAdeMO).
I fell in love with this car 3 years ago when I realized that I could tolerate its limitations and had grown to really appreciate its advantages (though the first two years I owned it I felt differently haha). You can occasionally find 2012 models with low miles for ~$5k
My previous car was in an accident 5 days before Hurricane Michael. My insurance company allowed me a rental car. I was given a Kia Sportage. Blessing the rental was not damaged during the hurricane. I was able to keep that vehicle for 30 days because I didn't know the status of my car. My hiusebwas destroyed and that Kia Sportage moved a lot of the items out my house and into storage. As soon as I was told my car was totaled I knew I wanted a Kia. Ronnie was honest post-hurricane, understanding, and patient. The car buying process was seamless and my Kia Sorento is stunning! They worked on keeping my monthly payments and interest knowing I lost everything. I have recommended to everyone I have come across, including my priest.
Cool, practical, inexpensive, green.

The i-Miev gets the equivalent of 112 mpg (it runs solely on electricity). You just plug it into any household outlet and the next day you have a full charge. Never go to the gas station again. It has very good torque which feels really nice as you accelerate. The storage space is amazing for a small car when you put the back seats down. Electric cars have about 1/3 the number of moving parts as gas cars so maintenance is much less.
The staff at Heritage Cadillac is always professional yet friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I would not go anywhere else to purchase or service my auto.
