Love My New 2018 Mazda 3
by SherryL semi-retired from Oklahoma City

My husband and I walked into the showroom Monday and were greeted by Brandon Ward. Told him I wanted to look at Mazda 3 and Mazda 5. I had researched both vehicles and was ready to buy one. Brandon took us outside to view their inventory of both models and I was impressed with how many they had. I picked out which two I wanted to drive and Brandon went to get the keys and to have my car checked out which we wanted to trade in. Brandon was very knowledgeable and explained the differences in the various sticker prices. Once we started the car, he then went over all the features (and they are lots of bells and whistles on these models), I was then ready to drive my potential new car. I decided on the red Mazda 3 and went inside to negotiate the purchase. We knew what we wanted for our trade-in and after we rejected their first offer, and waiting about 20 minutes, they agreeded to our price. We waited maybe 20 more minutes for the financial person to get the paperwork prepared. Signed the documents and then claimed my new car. Total time at the dealership was just over two hours. Their showroom is the nicest one I’ve been in and everyone was very friendly. I’ve purchased over 10 cars so I’ve been in a lot of dealerships. Brandon was so helpful, low key and no one we encountered was high pressured or what I would consider as the typical car salesman/woman.

The experts panned it but regular drivers love it.

I was looking for a suv with a large back space for hauling things. I went to the “expert” reviews on the outlander and they had little good to say about it. Then i found ordinary drivers’ reviews and they loved it so i bought one that was 1 year old with 13,000 miles. So this is what i got: a virtually new car still with 4 years bumper to bumper warrantee, everything in good condition for $17000. It is a base model, but base models today are the same as top of the line models 5 years ago. I can live with that. The thing i was worried about was the performance. “Experts” said it was not impressive. Well i just put the thing in sport mode and i have no complaints. It’s good looking, comfortable, spacious - the two rear rows of seats fold down FLAT giving oodles of room, fast enough, and the gas mileage is astonishing for a vehicle of this size. I get about 32 MPG on the highway. I don’t know what the “experts” had in mind when they reviewed this car but, from a practical point of view, they were WAYYYYY off. In my long life i’ve had almost every car under the sun. This one is great in its own way. Buy it. You’ll like it.

Very good and no pressure experience. My only complaint would be that the car could have been detailed better. It was dirty inside in several places and the rubber mats had not been cleaned.

Didn't know anything about Mitsubishi but did a lot of research and found the majority of owners liked their Outlanders. Of course, you will always have some disgruntled owners but that is to be expected. I don't go by the "expert" reviews as they don't drive it daily like the owners. Biggest issue I have is the play in the steering, feels weird but just have to be more alert. It also didn't come with a CD player which surprised me. Have all the Premium packages w/cameras, sensors etc. and it's nice to have them. Love the sleek exterior look and the inside is very nice and stylish with leather seats. Have been getting about 32 highway and 26 or so city. I don't need a quick acceleration but it gets me onto the freeway quickly enough. 3rd row seat is just big enough for 2 small grandkids in the back. With the 3rd row down, I have a lot of space in the back for luggage, groceries etc. I do wish there were vents in the back but for the most part, it's just me and my wife in the vehicle. The Outlander also came w/18" rims and low profile tires, which I do not like. I feel everything on the road but it's too expensive to change to smaller rims and tires so I'll live with it. Overall, it has been a nice SUV so far.

Best car buying experience

Rocky greeted me as I walked up to the front of the store. He was NOT A PUSHY SALESMAN at all. I've bought at least 12 cars from multiple dealerships since I turned 18 (47 now). All dealerships have their quirks. But I have to say, Bob Moore Mazda was not one of those cringe worthy places!!! I walked out of another dealership the day before because the GM was trying to force me into a car and deal I didn't want. The entire staff at Bob Moore Mazda was great! Rocky was very knowledgeable and NEVER treated me as a "woman." He treated me like a customer looking for a car. I really appreciated that!!! If you're looking for a Mazda...you just can't go wrong with Bob Moore Mazda!!!

Recently purchased this vehicle after spending quite a few hours between dealerships. Prices for something similar (3d row of seats, back up camera power windows/seats etc) are just off the roof, not only for me but I assume for a lot of people. Sure, if I had a lot of money I probably wouldn't be writing this review or comparing this to any other vehicle... my point is, Mitsubishi outlander offers great price, great features, nice bumper to bumper guaranty, gorgeous design (in my opinion), and a few other treats. After reading all the reviews all the experts had written about this SUV, you should go to the dealer and have your own opinion, not the one of the people that write reviews for a living.

Easy easy EASY way to buy a car!

My old car was my third minivan in 15 years. Now that my kids are older and leaving for college, I wanted something that could carry 6 or 7 passengers but was ... well... NOT a minivan. I did some research on late model used three-row SUVs, and found the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. (My favorite of my three vans was a 2005 Nissan Quest, so choosing Nissan was easy for me.) Before I started browsing for cars, I applied for credit through Carvana, and was approved. Next, I entered in all of the information about the van I was trading for the Pathfinder. (Beware -- the trade-in amount is only good for 7 days, and it can change wildly in that time!) I was pleased with the trade amount, and it was great that I could shop for my new car and see my down payment and monthly payment for every car I viewed! My specifications were pretty clear -- AWD, less than 10,000 miles, and never a rental car. I found my dream car a few days later, and started the purchase process. It was quite smooth and the directions were very clear about what documents need to be uploaded. When I went to click on "finalize purchase" (or something like that), a red flag popped up...my trade-in value expired WHILE I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF CHECKING OUT! I got on chat with Carvana staff right away, and they were able to return the trade in value to NEARLY what it was before the expiration. This is something that needs to be addressed by Carvana -- once a customer is to a certain point in the process, those numbers need to be frozen. So we set a delivery time, and the Carvana rep was pretty much on time considering he was traveling 70 miles or so from the Chicago office. Everything was smooth -- signed a couple more papers, took my Pathfinder for a spin, Eric inspected my trade, and I left within 30 minutes with my new car. I would also like to add that I drove directly to my mechanic, so he could inspect the car and make sure I wasn't buying something with hidden damage. Mechanic said to me, "This car is perfect, like new." Just what I wanted to hear. Thanks Carvana! I am telling everyone I know about you guys. Good to work with you! Janet - 2017 Nissan Pathfinder

Selling to Carvana: super easy and no-hassle!

This is a review of my SELLING experience to Carvana. I listed my car on Craigslist and was approached by an outsider buyer named Jan. She introduced me to Carvana, which I never heard of before, and it's process. She was very helpful and walked me through the process. The first deciding factor for selling to them was that they offered me the best price (vs. CarMax, Auto Nation, Trur Car). Then I realized the process was super streamlined. All I had to do was upload my documents and, after approval, schedule an appointment for the pickup of my car. Carvana sent a truck to COME TO ME to pick up the car. The driver (Lauren?) was very courteous and pleasant to work with, too. The pickup process, which included a one-mile test drive, took no longer than 20-30 minutes. Immediately after loading my car to their truck, I was handed the check, which I immediately deposited without any issues. My selling experience from being contacted by buyer to getting the check took just 10 days! (Would've been even faster if I was more timely with uploading my docs.) I'd highly recommend Carvana for selling your cars!

Best snow car I have ever owned.
by Briley from Benton City, WA

I am a 72 year old skier and outdoors man. I have driven thousands upon thousand of miles in snow and hazardous road conditions in my lifetime and my Outlander SE has been phenomenal, easily outdoing my Jeeps and other cars and trucks for road travel, rain or shine or snow. The only downside has been the lack of ground clearance. I can't say enough about the Super All Wheel Drive system; it is a pleasure to put the car in awkward situations and simply let it drive out of it - it makes me giggle everytime. I have never had to take it out of the eco-awc position, yet, to get the job done - it may seem counterintuitive but the throttle is your friend to get out of challenging situations. Also, I average just under 30mpg in mixed driving so am really pleased with that, but then I am old and drive like it...except when the roads turn snowy. I love driving snow roads. I really like the upright (my adjustment) seating position and truck-like feel looking out the windshield. Other things: seats could be a little wider and more comfy; ride is a little rough but then (unlike my Suburban) it is a light weight SUV; console gets in the way of buckling front seat belts and is pretty much useless; there is a lack of cubby holes with the demise of ash trays; it could use more power but it is adequate under 80 mph; the handling was a little quirky with the 18 inch wheel/tire combination so I went -2 with 16 inch wheel/tire combo which to me is much more comfortable and not so darty (also quieter); the suspension bits feels pretty flimsy to this old racer which I can tolerate but don't like; the interior materials are nice and seem to be wearing just fine...so far; getting in and out of the Outlander is easy, which my bad back appreciates.

In August 2018, I finances 2015 Scion Wagon, aaand I love it. Two weeks ago, I was rear-ended, and my loaner car is an Outlander. Likes: Eco Mode uses way less gas than my car, excellent back up camera, booming kick-xxx stereo system, A/C system is divine, stereo speakers and cupholders on the back doors, trunk is almost twice the size of my Scion's, eyeglass holder, dome light in 3rd row, both make up mirrors light up, and it has bright headlights. Dislikes: Small glove compartment and console storage, nowhere on dashboard to put my cellphone, and no CD player.

I trade in and get a new car every 2-3 years. (Don't judge). This was the smoothest and easiest purchase I have made. Although they low-balled me on my trade-in, so I sold it instead to CarMax for $3,000 more, the purchase of the new Crosstrek was very smooth. The salesman (Skyler) was well versed in Subaru products eager and still low pressure. Quite patient with me since I wanted to drive 3 different models of the same car. Along with Skyler, the manager, and finance person were friendly, professional, low-pressure also. I got a price which I thought was fair. It's ironic because about 6-7 years ago I bought from their Nissan dealership and the whole process and deal left me unimpressed.

Easy on gas. Lots of interior room. 4WD great!

Exceeded my expectations. Seats fold flat for tons of interior space - I use it for work and family needs. Never used the two additional passenger seating - even though I thought I'd need it. They've remained flat for two years. Not even a hiccup on this car and I'm just under 50k miles. Super reliable. Sips gas - I fill up maybe once a week for $30. Regular synthetic oil changes - that's it. Four wheel job is super - very confident driving in ANY weather. I originally had a 2 year lease on this - but when I re-examined the buy-back on it - for $15k I had to buy it. Just can't find a car that good for that price!
