I bought this car used from a dealer who bought it from a Rental Company. It had 32000 miles on it when I bought it in 2004. It's now 2019 and I have 180,000 miles on it. Of course the usual maintenance, and also went through 2 Fans for cooling. This has been the best car I ever had. I will never buy a America Car again. Japan knows how to build a car that last.

This is a simple, basic 5 speed that works as it should. The 3cylinder engine actually has pep! But what I really love about this car is how far I can drive on a full tank of gas. I’m used to filling up a V6 and V8 at $60-$80 a tank. Only $20 fills this up for the same distance I drove the other vehicles that cost $60!

I am not married nor do I have kids. This car would be great for long distance, family trips. Good trunk room and spacious back seats. I got the top line model with a sunroof and head seats. And I love the Rockford Fosgate sound system! Got a 10" subwoofer in the trunk! It PUMPS the bass! It's got a part time 4WD/AWD which is nice in sedan. It helped me get thru some snow in Maryland. The CVT does make funny noises. But mechanic said it was normal. Ride is not bad. It is sports tuned after all. The interior is kind of dated. Steering wheel only has a tilt function, not telescope. Just up and down but can't pull the steering wheel close to me. Great A/C and heating. The leather is kind of cheap though. Handles great! Gas mileage 36 mpg on HWY! That's not bad. Worse mileage was 18 mpg CITY but it was stop and go traffic. DC is notorious for that! But not bad at all for a 4 door sedan for under $20k!

Car has great technology and amazing safety features. Leather interior is clean and modern. Car has great pick up and good on gas. Only one negative is that the turning radius isn?t great for tight spaces.

Overall, the experience was very good. We purchased the car from Mo, a polite, soft spoken man that gave us zero pressure during the entire sales process. His communication was excellent throughout the process. The car needs a bit of work, but it was listed at a great price. I purchased 2 new Mitsubishi Outlanders after doing Internet research on currently available mid-sized SUVs. A test drive nailed the choice. The 2025 model introduced several changes that have addressed prior criticisms about vague steering and hood vibrations and ride. The fit and finish of both exterior and interior is excellent, typical of a Japanese car and as good or better than the Toyota RAV4 or Nissan Rogue that were being considered (the Outlander and the Rogue share the same platform, but IMHO the Outlander is the better rendition). The interior of the SE trim is very plush at this price point with leatherette and suede seating that is supportive and "hugs" you and looks and feels better than more expensive luxury SUVs in this size class such as the Lincoln Corsair and Aviator. The standard Yamaha audio system produces astonishingly good sound with either Bluetooth audio or Sirius XM. The Outlander supports Android Auto, and its navigation is excellent. Steering feel is excellent and well-weighted, and braking is strong. The Outlander has a surprisingly small turning circle. The electronics assists and displays work flawlessly, especially the adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping and both front and rear parking assistance via the good-sized infotainment display screen, which also provides an overhead overall view (AI?). While the Outlander does have standard third-row seating, the seats and leg room are miniscule (suitable only for very small children or pets) and hard to access, but I plan to never use them for seating and keep them folded down to maximize cargo carrying space, which is even more generous with the second-row seatbacks folded down. Exterior styling is very bold and contemporary and distinctive, especially the front styling and the wheels; it has grown on me. The 2025 Outlander thankfully does not have that horrible stop-start feature where the engine shuts off if stopped at a traffic light, and in hot and humid Florida, the AC is not interrupted like on other new cars. The transmission shift lever is not intuitive to use, but eventually you get used to it (IMHO a simple rotary knob would be easier to use). The Outlander has a very generous power train warranty and comes with the initial three oil change services included. The horsepower is modest but more than adequate for city and suburban driving, and the CVT seems well mated to the engine and drives very smoothly. If Mitsubishi added a turbocharged version, that would certainly boost the acceleration.

What can I say about my Mitsubitchy. I love my car. I love everything about her, even when she decides to cost me a few thousand in parts. I own a 2009 2.0 L automatic and all fairness she is high up there in her miles. She’s currently in the shop for new control arms, and new lateral links, new gas tank (along with straps and hardware), new fuel pump (only because they are already changing the tank and it’s wise to do while the tanks off) and 1 of 2 O2 sensors (hopefully the right one or I’m going to have to pay the 290.00 some for the rest one). I have been informed from many lancer owners that this is a common issue with the Lancers.. a check engine light from the O2. I own two lancers and both I have the same issue, corner rusting on the hood, good thing I bought a new one of those too. Also rusting on the very top of the car. Other then that I haven’t really had any issues with her other then basic maintenance and she’s never left me stuck on the side of the road so that’s a huge bonus. Oh and the only finally issue is the heat shield for the Cadillac converter always likes to rust off of them even despite consistent undercoatings and now, they don’t make them anymore for the car. Big sad face on that one as I’m trying to completely restore all the parts on my car to brand new. But honestly, cars cost to maintain, it’s pretty simple, some parts are super cheap, some are more expensive. That goes the same for any vehicle. She’s sexy and sporty, handles like an absolute dream, takes corners like a boss at high speeds… shhh I didn’t say that, and is all around the most amazing car I have ever seen and owned. But don’t just take my word for it, I’m biased, I have loved these cars since I was a child! Take the advice of all these lovely people also saying they rock!

We purchased our Mitsubishi used a year ago and have been quite pleased darting around Los Angeles with this small car. As small as it is, it's quite comfortable, even roomy, inside. Runs well. Highly recommend for older folks like us who don't do a lot of long-range driving.

Great first brand new car. I have seen these with 300k+ miles 2022 and 2023 miles. I got max loaded 2024 SEL or GT Premium Model. All wheel control is awesome in snow, I have seen people saying its better or even up to par with Subaru's symmetric AWD.

Gas mileage could use some work. Tech is somewhat outdated but works fine for what I need. Overall a decent buy for those on a budget.

Feel like I got a great deal on a leftover 2024 Outlander SEL trim with the technology package. My only real complaint is that it could use a bit more power, off the line it’s ok, but when you need it the most it lags. They could swap this out for a more powerful engine or turbo. I definitely will most likely upgrade this to the PHEV model once’s it’s refreshed for 2026. Love the options, the Mi Pilot assist is very responsive and overall I feel safe in the vehicle. Mitsubishi deserves some love for this vehicle!!! So far no issues at all approaching 1600 miles driven.

Best car I have ever owned, fun fast, very reliable as all stock. This is the safest car - if you know how to drive it. The all wheel drive is so smart it will recover if you get the car sideways. After awhile getting an evolution 9 mr sideways is the most amazing thing you can do, until you try it on snow and ice - mind blowing fun this car drives better sideways - than just high speed cornering. Most people will never experience this, I would recommend a run in an Evo 9 as a must do before you die. (I work in automotive 25 years and have driven 85% of all car, even a stutz bearCat). There is nothing that drives like an Evolution IX MR in the world.
