Tried to get a test drive during the first big snowfall of the year. WIth a little shuffling between salespeople, they were glad to pull out my car and let me take it around the block a few times. Came back a few days later to buy it and am now zipping along happily. Thanks Ben!

My brakes gave out on my 16-year-old Forester as I was leaving town and heading home--I was in Pittsburgh visiting my mother. I had been toying with the idea of buying a new Subaru, and the repair bill was what tipped me to making the purchase. At first no one would pay attention to me when I went down to the showroom, so I was watching TV and planning my car future when Greg Johnston came into the room to deliver keys to a new buyer and I engaged him in conversation. He was friendly and offered to help me then and there--even though it was near closing. I never felt rushed and he took the time to explain everything to me about the different models of Crosstrek. I came back Saturday morning and drove a new car home. I love it. Greg made the experience stress free. He had a sense of humor (even when I sort of gave him a hard time). Everything about the car was explained to me and I am planning on going back for a refresher course this week. Going from a 16 year old car to a brand new one is like going from a model T to a spaceship--and I'm no spring chicken! All salespeople should be as attentive and easy-going as Greg. I hope he's there in 16 years when I may be in the market for a new car. Until then, I can only refer my friends and family to him.
Basically made a deal over the phone, even my trade which needed a major repair. He encouraged me not to have the repair done and gave me the most of any other dealers for my trade! When i got there, over 90 miles away, there was no surprises! He knew where I needed to be with my payment and that is the payment that I received. Very friendly staff. The car was even better than I expected! This is a dealer that is truly there for the customer. If you are looking for a vehicle, give them a try!!
The service department was very helpful when my vehicle started making all kinds of noises. I called they scheduled an appointment that was convenient for me. They diagnosed the problem explained what was wrong and what needed done. They made the repairs and I was on my way. I have been going to them for years.
I found my dream used Subaru through Cars.com at Preston Honda. Caleb was wonderful taking me through the process. He kept me updated on the car's status for more than a week until I was able to get there on a Saturday from 2 1/2 hours away. He even texted me extra pictures that I requested. When I got the text that the car was still available at close of business on Friday, I knew the car would be mine the next day. Caleb took me on a test drive and I committed to buy. The financing process was very easy and after a couple of hours (and snacks!) I drove home in my new (to me) car. They gave me a fair amount on my trade without dickering. The whole process was easy and pleasant. Definitely worth the drive!
