Nissans hybrid system was purchased from Toyota/Lexus and works really well with the Altima’s 2.5 QR, the same as the non-Hybrid model. It’s easy to work on and has very few issues. The interior is really nice, especially decked out. The leather is very good quality and doesn’t get wear marks and is hard to tear. The car is very quick, not what people normally would think of a hybrid. The only downside is the smaller trunk due to giving up room for the hybrid batteries.

The car is vey quiet, dependable, great gas mileage, love being able to go 600+ miles on a tank of gas. I have had no issues with the car. Amazingly the front brakes lasted 95,000 miles. Not the sportiest car but 30+ mpg in the city is hard to best

A Nice Place to Shop a Car
by Jeremy M from El Sobrante, CA
November 5, 2018
All dealers/dealerships aren't created equal. Well this is true in a very positive way as I found a diamond in the rough. My Scion tC finally died (auto transmission) and I always said I was going to replace it with a Lexus IS 300. That's all good until you actually start hunting for one. For those who don't understand, finding an IS 300 is a feat in itself. They sell quickly, and you're lucky to find one under 150,000 mi. Well, not only did I find one, they had two for sale both under 150,000 mi. I drove down (from El Sobrante) the prior weekend to check the place out and get a feel for it as it was a smaller/local car dealership. There, I met Manuel who helped me from beginning to the closing deal. He was very courteous, not pushy, and shot straight with me. I called back the following Tuesday (today) to see if the car was still available as people were inquiring about the car while I was there! It turned out a few individuals made offers, but they were below the listed price. Oh yeah, pricing was the same as the website. I even asked for the out-the-door price (taxes, fees, etc.) and gave me that as well. Needless to say, I was ecstatic! I secured the vehicle today after following up with Manuel. Also, he let me drive it to my mechanic in El Cerrito to get looked at prior to purchasing for my piece of mind. The big takeaways are Auto 4 Less may not be a huge dealership, but they are: respectful, not pushy, and honest. The car buying experience was smooth and easy-peasy! I would recommend. My personal takeaways are: research (common failures, common costs, common lifespan, etc.) the vehicle you are looking at prior to purchasing as that goes a long way!
Great car at a great value

I have owned two 2008 Nissan Altima Hybrids. I drive a lot of miles for my job and this car gets good gas mileage and rides well. It is in easy car to spend a few hours in while I drive from city to city. I drove the first one I owned about 160,000 miles. I am selling the second one at 175,000 miles. They have both been nearly trouble free cars. If I could find one with low miles that had the options I want I would buy a third one! That should say how I feel about these cars. Plus, they look great as well.

Great service...got me in and out quickly

Both the person who greeted me when I drove up and the Service Advisor who helped me were awesome. Everything was explained to me and they got the service done quickly. They even checked everything on my car and found a worn wiper blade but let me know it would still be ok for awhile but that I should check it again in a month and that they would install it for me for free if I came in and bought it at their parts department.
1 Of The Most Reliable Cars I've Owned

Bought her brand new in NY, March 2007 with 3 miles, currently has 108,XXX miles. Made over 15 trips between Florida, NY, and Canada. Replaced tires 2X, turned front rotors 2X, installed front pads once, never done the rears. Replaced water pump drive belt at 60k and service the transmission. Had 1 bad tpms sensor but decided to replace all 4. Always changed oil before 3k miles, with full synthetic and always dealer service. Last month around 107k miles check engine light came on for the 1st time, it says Hybrid battery is deteriorating, clear the code and kept driving, MPG is not what it used to be but hey she's been good and worry free for almost 9yrs. No longer gets 37.1 mpg but roughly 33.1, when driven harder it's about 31mpg. Average tank is about 530-550 miles, used to be 600+ also, Florida sun plays a big roll in battery life. Overall well put together by Nissan and Toyota. Interior still holding up strong, unlike other cost-effective car makers. Loved it and hope to have it for another 9 yrs. Keep in mind EV battery price have dropped drastically and that is still a maintenance item. Good luck if you're looking for one, last year was made in 2012.
