KUDOS to Tony Holland and thumbs down to Carl Oliveira !
by Nissan car purchase experience from DealerRater.com
December 3, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.8 (636 reviews)
The 5 STAR goes to Tony Holland, the salesperson at Nissan, Red Bank who was very knowledgeable, caring, professional, polite and patiently answered all our inquiries. The sale process with Tony was extremely smooth and I was really happy until I had to deal with Carl Oliveira the business/finance manager, a real terror and embarrassment to Nissan. Carl was was extremely pushy in attempting to sell expensive, useless maintenance warranties giving us the message that the quality of Nissan cars are so bad that you need a 6 years warranty and start paying for it on the first day of the purchase of your brand new Nissan !! His high pressure sale, rude attitude when I refused to sign his paper and even a racist remark he made to me after I finally gave up and signed for an optional Gap warranty/contract for $895 just to shut him off ! left me real unhappy when I finally left Nissan

While traveling, my 2005 F350 diesel blew the bottom turbo hose, kind of a common thing I hear. First in line to get the hose replaced and Berkeley Ford did an excellent job. I was back on the road with a short delay. So far, the new hose is staying put. Thank you Berkeley Ford.

I have enjoyed the truck immensely. It handles well, provides a smooth ride and carries the loads I require it to on a daily basis. I may upgrade soon to the Titan as I need to do some more frequent trailering and while the towing capacity is 6K lbs. It labors a little with my boat and trailer etc. Nissan makes a very good truck!

Not what I expected

Normally when you see a $7,000-8,000 less than MSRP sales price on an "AD" you start to wonder what's the catch. I'm thinking that this might just be a sales plea to attract customers to come down to the dealership and raise up the price or say that "the car was sold, but take a look at this other car that is more expensive", which you would normally see in at least a third of dealerships out there. Being curious on what the catch was, I took the risk of driving 2 hours to check this deal out with my wife(4 hours round trip). Even though I drove all this way to check out a 370z Nismo that was roughly $8,000 under MSRP, I walked in the dealership door with a mindset of walking away if the deal/ price was not as stated online. Was I wrong to assume there was a catch, I was even able to lower the price with a manufacturer rebate. Needless to say that I am now a proud owner of a 370z Nismo. Overall: The staff was friendly; Jeff was able to contact me and provide me good enough details for me to be willing to drive far, and Vince made dealing with Finance a less excruciating process that it usually is. The dealership deals/ prices are one of the most honest and straightforward I have ever dealt with. (This is my fourth vehicle of a dealership and I have family that are auto brokers; I know the tug and pull experience between consumers and dealership). Would recommend this dealership to anyone looking into buying a new Nissan.

My wife and I love off road adventures. We bought this truck based on reviews addressing the off road capabilities, experiences of friends, and the fact that we both found it comfortable, ascetically pleasing, and fun to drive. We have found it to be sure footed, and a blast to take up in the mountains, and super competent in the sand.

We decided to see what kind of an offer City Auto would offer us on our BMW. We were apprehensive as we exped to be offered several thousand dollars less the the market value (we expected 30-40%). The final offer to buy our car was about $1,500 less then we would have gotten trying to sell it private party. Was very impressed with Candi and Jeremy. Sold the car and didn’t have to deal with tire kickers and haggling. Highly recomemd

My Nissan dealership is Exceptional!!!! I have an older Nissan maxims and needed some intensive work to become driveable again. I was treated like a new car owner and received nothing but tender love and care. Recently my husband past away and wanted to keep the 2005 car, but had no clue what would take to get it going the dealership took care of problem and I am still driving the car without problem. 2nd issue I was mowing grass dropped car keys and ran over with lawnmower destroying keys and keypad. Called dealerships (woodriver) had car towed and reprogram car and had keys within twenty minutes at minimal cost. They even cleaned and vacuum car for me. When it's time and affordable for me I will purchase my next Nissan from My Favorite Dealership.

I purchased a 2018 Toyota Camry from Panama City Toyota. Blake Mulligan, my sales representative went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. He took more than enough time to make sure I was knowledgeable about each vehicle I inquired about. Almost like shopping for a car with your dad, brother, or uncle; I felt secure And comfortable with my purchase. Being a nurse, I meet a lot of people throughout the week and I have bragged on Blake’s excellent customer service skills, knowledge of cars, and inventory. Even after my purchase was final, he stayed late to make sure I knew how to utilize the many features of my car! It was a pleasure shopping with Blake! Pa

Absolutley Awesome with every person I dealt with at Maus!
by JanieR from DealerRater.com
December 3, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.6 (964 reviews)
On April 30th I went to Ferman Chrysler Jeep of NPR. I was attempting to get out of a 2010 Town and Country Touring Sedan I had purchased from them 2 years ago. I have an automobile experience behind me, from selling New Oldsmobile's to selling New Cadillac's, 2 years at each dealership, prior to one year as a New Car Sales Manager at Dimmitt Jeep/Eagle in Tarpon Springs in 1989. Ferman had laid me away on a 2010 used vehicle at 24% interest rate with Chrysler. My payments were $308.00 a month, automatically paid through my account for two years. I went to purchase a Jeep Cherokee that had a $5,500 rebate, to overcome my upside down trade. They told me I would need to go with a Dodge, I said okay, and drove the car! I had told them $500 down! They told me, if I would give them another $2,500 down, Chrysler would welcome my business at only 16.5% interest! I stood up, and said you are out of your mind, see ya, I am going across the street to Nissan. in walking out my sales person said will you tell me if you buy a vehicle, and I said in a heart beat! I went across the street to Maus Nissan! Upon arrival I was greeted by a very nice man Sabas Fiqveroa. I explained to him I am here to do business different than the way he has been trained! I told him I needed to start with the new car Sales Manager. He brought me in, and introduced me to an awesome sales manager by the name of Troy. We conversed, seams we both came from Michigan. I told him of my Automobile back ground, and what I had just been through across the street, and what I was attempting to accomplish. We got along very well! He explained that Sabas was new, and he was going to have Alain Garcia help Sabas show me a SUV that was what I was looking for. Needless to this point all three employees were beyond belief in knowledge, as well as courtesy! I must say when I was explained the numerous features of the Rogue, not to mention the pleasure of the drive, as well as the power of a 4 cylinder with awesome fuel economy, I was sold! We went inside to see what we could do. We had some negotiation, but in all I was happy with the $500 down, $618.00 per month, for 72 months. When I met with the F & I guy, he would not be sure of interest until the next day, but he was looking at 9.5% interest. I said that would be fine. He then told me to open a savings and loan account, and in 6 to 8 months, I could probably get a much lower interest rate. In parting, he said he would let me know how it comes down with Nissan. The next day I got a call from Alain, asking if I could stop by and sign a paper with F& I, and I said yes, the next day I would be there about 11:00AM, and he said wonderful. The next day on my there I was anticipating the worst, but instead I was blown away with awe! I met with a lady, and she told me she had good news! I said wow! She went on to tell me the vehicle was reduced an additional $2,000, and Nissan was giving me the 2.9% interest rate, so I said what is my payment now? She said, it stays at $618.00, but in lieu of 72 months, that will be for 60 months! Wow, I have never seen anything like this happen in my 5 years in the industry. I felt that the New Car Sales Manager Troy had something to do with the transaction! Regardless, I am so impressed with Maus! I had had a Nissan Xtera that I dearly loved, and I had to part it with it when I was leaving a few years prior. I brought it to Maus, and it had 110 thousand miles on it, and they gave me the balance owed on the SUV, that blew me away! I never forgot that! I was just a fool for not buying from Nissan two years ago! Thank you so very much! By the way my Rogue really put the Dodge I drove to shame. In closing I might mention to future buyers, the Finance Lady told me in the future, no matter how bad my credit is, as long as I make my Nissan payments on time every month, Nissan would never increase my interest rate1

We had been looking in our area for a family van for a few weeks when we came across a listing for a Honda Odyssey at Bennett???s. Ryan was incredibly quick to call me and figure out a time we could come see it. From the moment we got to Bennett???s I felt comfortable, well taken care of, and not pressured at all. Ryan was friendly, helpful, and very genuine. When we initially came to look at the car we had our two toddlers in tow, and everyone at Bennett???s smiled at them and didn???t act inconvienced by them, which made the whole process SO much better. There was a scratch that the dealership took care of for us and looks great. We have been recommending this dealership to everyone and telling them it???s worth the hour and a half drive from Wichita! Ryan was just the same as Kyle???kind, patient, and worked hard for us. We???re so grateful for a wonderful experience at Bennett???s and LOVE our (new to us) Honda Odyseey!

The truck that I wanted
by RobS2499 from Ottawa, Ont

I was looking for a mid size truck and read many reviews. I was a little nervous because there a lot of negative reviews by so called car experts. After looking at Toyota, Honda and Nissan the Nissan was by far the cheapest but was a little rough around the edges. But I wanted a truck, not a car with a bed in the back. It's loud like a truck should be, ride is a little rough but firm and solid feeling. Going on 2 years and no squeaks or rattles, I have towed and hauled large items and it handled both very well. I'm 6'1" and have plenty of room but the armrest is set pretty far back so when my wife pulls the seat up it's pretty much useless for her. So if you want to save some money and have a strong, solid truck that has plenty of utility then this truck is for you.

2017 Nissan Great Value
by Dean ( go Bucks ) from Oconomowoc,

Was looking for a Toyota Tacoma and came upon a Nissan Frontier in my search. Was surprised by the much lower asking price of the Frontier. Went to Gordy Boucher to check out a 2017 with only 5000 mi on it. Took a test run and loved the smooth ride, had a 2005 Ranger and was a very rough ride. Some complaints are the old styling but why, this truck has all my wife and I need. Some people you just can't please. We had no intention of buying a Nissan , but we did and love the ride , the styling ( very nice looking truck ) and the interior. Great buy so far , will see how reliable it is in the future.

The nissan frontier is a really cute truck! I enjoy the smooth ride. The seats are comfortable..front is roomy gas mileage isn't too bad but the power is a little sluggish when pushing the gas to go fast. That's ok with me cause I drive a bit slow anyways. I feel I got a good deal as I could not afford the f150. If your looking for a smaller size pick up that is good looking and reasonably priced this ones for you! Just bought it so can't say how dependable it is but I'm sure it will do great!

I meet Oscar and he greeted me and my husband with a huge smile asked if there was anything he an help us out with? We said yes and he asked us what type of car we were looking into getting. My biggest concern was a family car also a gas saver. He pointed at a Nissan Rouge. He answered every question we had regarding the vehicle. Best customer service ever! Thank you for Your time Oscar!

Newest Old School Truck You Can Buy
by YupIDidaThing from Rocky Mount, VA
November 16, 2018

I bought a 2017 SV Crew Cab 4WD a few months ago and so far I love it. It's funny, you see all these reviews by the pros talking about the lack of tech on the Frontier and how it hasn't had a major refresh since 2005. But, that's just it, it's a truck. Trucks are meant to haul stuff, take it on the dirt, have fun with it. Today, everyone talks about what sort of tech you can get in a truck, they think trucks are like Caddy's these days. Overall, I love the v6 but hate the mpg. We had a minor snow storm recently and I was able to plow through snow covered roads with 4 High with ease, almost as good as a Wrangler. The Frontier does have value, it does have some nice features like cruise, power everything, backup camera, sliding rear door, etc. In some ways it reminds of of the Tacoma, but it does feel taller when you sit inside and honestly its a bit more powerful off the line than the Taco.

I'd Ike to express sincere gratitude for all of the care & assistance provided by the Ron Smith Family! They were both patient & very understanding toward my needs. I have been to other car lots but never have I experienced such a family like setting as with Ron Smith Buick. I had my car for over 13 years & in need of a newer reliable model. I didn't think anyone would work with my challenged credit, but after being approved I was anxious to drive away in my 2017 Buick Verono! Sales people spent quality time, no pressure, and we drove 3 vehicles where we wanted - very nice. We found what we liked, discussed our terms, and everyone walked away happy. Very good experience.

What a Truck should be, a Truck.

2017 Nissan Frontier SV 4WD Crew Cab Review For those looking at a midsize truck there are plenty of great options out in the market from the Chevy/GMC Colorado/Canyon, Toyota Tacoma (Taco), the upcoming 2019 Ford Ranger and the Honda Ridgeline platform. As many of you readers already know the Frontier hasn’t seen a major refresh since 2004 and whiles that might be boring to many, it indicates a few things about this Nissan D series platform. First, the pricing. Since most of the dies for the Frontier have been long paid for in the mid 2000’s, the Frontier is truly America’s Best Value in a truck regarding price. Second, it’s quite reliable, I mean beyond the normal complaints and small issues that any sort of vehicle might have, the Frontier in many ways is like the Taco, solid, reliable and overall good. Now, the Frontier is not going to give you the ’wow’ factor like many of the competitor models will provide you, many professional car reviewers online will tell you that the truck is seriously outdated and for 2018 they’re right. But honestly, the Frontier is doing something that most of the others are forgetting, simply being a truck. In a world filled with car tech, as people flock to SUV’s rather than cars, the Frontier is a truck-truck. A truck is supposed to haul stuff, not ride like a Cadillac. If I wanted froo-froo bells and whistles, then get an SUV like the rest of America. Exterior This SV trim level is a run of the mill level trim that comes with a few features, the model I purchased came with a tow package, 4-wheel drive, cargo lamp and bedliner. The overall body of the truck is pretty good, but its not an aggressive design like the GMC Canyon in my opinion. It’s not going to wow your friends when you drop into their driveway, but then again, a truck is supposed to be a truck, rough, rugged, feeling the road bumps and heavy. Yup, Frontier does just that. This model is a 4-door crew cab and the doors are pretty solid, more so than the Honda Ridgeline and Chevy Colorado I tested before buying it. The facia is right in line with that V motion look Nissan is trying to build across the model lines too. Powertrain The Q series 4.0 liter V6 powerplant is a pretty nice motor, it’s actually the same block at what’s in the 370Z and some of the Infiniti products they make and it’s a pretty solid motor. Making 261hp and 285pft, the engine in the Frontier is going to allow you to tow some decent RV’s, boats and trailers but nothing serious, that’s where a full sized truck comes into play. The transmission, while proven pretty solid over the years could really benefit from being a 7 or 8 speed in 2018, but still uses the 5 speed automatic. Now its not a bad tranny, but it does hurt the wallet with your mpg. Around the city I get about 17 and on the high recently on a 250-mile trip to Williamsburg from Roanoke I was scoring 24mpg. EPA rated 17/21 which is right in line with what I’m getting on average. (Used less than tank of gas btw) Those numbers are bad today but 8 years ago they were standard with the midsize truck market. Interior Inside the cab you will find a dated interior with hard plastics and faux metal trim, unlike others in the market. The trim reminds me of the recent Tacoma trim just perhaps a step behind it. While you will find some great features inside the truck, the next Frontier will seem lightyears ahead when they debut it for the next generation. My model same standard with tilt wheel, wheel controls, 4.3’ screen with XM radio, no backup camera but I put one in myself for about $45, A/C, power windows and door locks, keyless entry, rear windows, power windows and a few other small creature comforts. The Pro4X which is a couple of trims ahead of this adds some other features like leather, heated seats, nav, dual climate controls and a sunroof. The thing I do like about the Frontier is its rugged insides. Most people don’t like the hard plastics, but I do, it’s easy to wipe off with the dust or dirt when you take it off roading. Off Roading Speaking of off roading, I can say without a doubt the SV trim is just as capable as a Jeep Wrangler Sport or Sahara edition, even without lockers (those Jeeps don’t have them either) you will find yourself being able to keep up with them just fine. Now, a Wrangler with lockers like the Rubicon, no the SV Frontier will not be able to keep up but upgrade to the Pro4X and you’ll be on equal footing with it on paper and in the field. The shift on the fly 4WD is nice and well suited for the truck, I’ve used it several times without any major issues. You do need to put it into neutral for 4WD Low then put it into drive, but nothing major. You will be surprised that the 4WD system is better than Chevy and GMC and on equal par with Tacoma. My only real complaint here is that I wish it wasn’t a switch and an actual lever. The Fronty is actually far more capable than the Chevy/GMC counterpart, especially on it’s entry angles when hitting the backroads. In many ways the Frontier is like having a truck frozen in time and for people that don’t really need a 125 way power adjusting seat or a climate zone for each of your passengers then this is the truck for you. The Frontier isn’t for everyone, I get it. But I wish manufactures would keep trucks, well truck like. The Frontier reminds me of why I wanted a truck to start with. It’s got a great price point compared to the others (I noticed that the Frontiers would sell faster on the used lots than the Tacoma’s), it has just enough features to make me happy and I can haul stuff, the main point of a truck.
