To be honest, I didn???t wake up wanting to buy a car but the car my son was driving wasn???t doing so hot. After checking the local area through USAA, I came apon JT Auto and found the vehicle that met most of my requirements. After a bit of deliberation, I made the hour drive out to Sanford and met Devin and TJ. They are great to work with. No pressure from them or sugarcoating. They knew I had everything set up before I got there and listened to my requests and renegotiated. Trust me, I did have fun doing this. I almost got everything I wanted. (Almost 3/4 of it 😉). Thanks TJ and Devin.

Great Around Town Car

After about 40000 miles, it still performs like it did when I got it at 8000 miles. It accelerates from a stop strongly and handles well. The only issue I've had is some squeaking from the front suspension when the weather is cold. It still has about 90 percent of its original driving range. On sub-zero (Fahrenheit) days, the range goes to about 60 percent of what it has on an 80 degree day. Then, I wouldn't trust it to go any further than 35 miles on a full charge.

The Process

The process was a good experience. I traveled 2 states to get the 2004 Infiniti. Carla was very responsive to my emails, Charles was ready for me when I got there to look over the vehicle and Ty had my paperwork ready. I looked over the vehicle. I think I got a great deal on a very good used vehicle. I will definitely consider this team when it is time for me to get a vehicle for my son next year. The only hiccup was the vehicle was not clean. Thanks! Note: Carla's name did not come up on the list but she deserves 5 Stars also.

Most Reliable and Fun Car I've Ever Owned

I've never been more pleased with a car. Not only did I save tons of money - with the federal, state, and local rebates, plus avoiding gas stations for years! - but it handles well because the battery causes its weight to be low, and it accelerates fast because the power's electric and right there all the time! Great interior room, too - moved chairs in it.

Outstanding from the start

It was that time again my lease on my 2016 Maxima (Plat) was coming to end. Two month's of payments to go. Nissan is willing to forgo the last two payments if you want to lease or purchase a new Nissan. It was Saturday July 28 and I had an appointment with my past sales consultant Derek Parker to review my options. Now let me tell you about Derek. I met Derek back in 2009 for the first time trying to lease a 2010 Maxima. Was very satisfied with both the car and lease terms, and Derek. Derek has been in the business for years. He has more knowledge of Nissan products then anyone I know and if he doesn't know which is rear he will get the answers. You never feel pressure from Derek. He make you feel like family. Well shortly after my appointment with Derek , we came to agreement on New Lease Terms for a 2018 Maxima (Plat) , which is my 9th leased Maxima. I found this to be super easy , they had the car i wanted with great lease terms. I say this again and again to anyone that will listen. If you want a great experience and great cars then go to Leith Nissan and ask for Derek Parker, you won't be sorry. My entire family has become Nissan fans and use Derek as there sales consultant. Derek thank you again for a great experience. Randy

This car has a relatively plenty room for passengers and easy to charge. Color and design are pretty cute. Standard options are pretty good, especially for the heated handle.

Not your "typical" dealer experience

In a nutshell, this was the best experience I have ever had at a dealership within the context of shopping for a used car. ??? Was treated with professionalism without any high pressure sales tactics ??? They delivered promptly on all commitments. ??? When it comes to sales consultants, Jim Kamara is the cream of the crop! I was specifically looking for a used Toyota Sienna Limited Premium with the Advanced Technology Package (ATP). Through internet searching, I found that Leith Nissan had one on their lot, but it wasn't listed as having the ATP. I reached out to Leith to inquire if it possibly had the ATP but just wasn???t listed in the features on the website. Jim drove the vehicle to the Toyota dealer and they confirmed the ATP was installed. As a result, we went to Leith Nissan that evening to meet Jim, see the van, and test drive it. I wasn't ready to make any purchasing decision that night and shared that with Jim. He respected my position, didn't pressure me to make a decision, and provided his contact information so that I could follow-up with him the next day. While Jim and I were finishing up, one of the sales managers introduced himself. Caleb Elks thanked us for coming in, asked us if there was anything specific that was blocking us from making a decision, and offered to work through any concerns or questions we had. I shared with him that we didn???t come to the dealership prepared to buy a car, needed some time to think, and that there were a few concerns we had with the vehicle. The next day, Jim & Caleb worked with us to address all our concerns and we purchased the vehicle. As part of the deal, Leith Nissan agreed to cut us a second key and order two pair of headphones for the rear entertainment system. One week later, we returned to Leith Nissan to have the second key cut and pick-up the headphones. Unfortunately, the headphones were not available because there had been a mix-up with the order. Once Jim realized there was a problem, he acted swiftly to rectify it so we could leave with the headphones in hand and not have to return on a future date. He was able to arrange delivery of the headphones while the key was being cut. From my experience, it was crystal clear that Jim prides himself in creating the ultimate client experience! Thanks Jim!

Great EV with excellent range for the dollar

I got my first EV in 2004, so I have had a few of them. I recently replaced my 2015 Leaf S with a 2019 SL Plus. Compared to the older Leaf, the 2019 is an outstanding vehicle in every way. I love the e-pedal capability, which reminds me of the Mini-E. The car handles well and has decent acceleration. The range of the new Leaf has been great, even at 88% charged (max I have done so far) the range is over 200 miles, and even on the highways at speed the range seems to hold up. Yes, you can get more range in other cars. Yes you can spend less money. Overall though, the Leaf is a proven and practical car with excellent range and utility for the dollar.

Darien Artis & Leith Nissan in Cary NC are the best!!

We first met Darien back in April when we were just shopping, researching different makes and models of crossover vehicles, and we let him know that we would not be buying that day, possibly even waiting a few months after we knew what we wanted. He still took the time we needed in order to fully inform us of what we asked, and we told him that, should we decide to get a Nissan, we would come back to him, no one else. Over the intervening months, he always responded quickly and completely to any questions we had regarding Nissans vehicle and offerings. After test-driving Subarus, Fiats, Chevys, Hondas, etc., we were close to a decision in mid-August, but before we made up our minds (our thoughts were to wait another few months to save up for a bigger down-payment and purchase in February during the inevitable Presidents' Day sales), I wanted to contact Darien to get a final, down-to-brass-tacks, bottom line offer of what current end-of-the-year-model specials that might be available and just find out if we could purchase the Nissan Rogue we liked given the current down-payment we had available to us and meet the monthly price we had budgeted. I texted Darien, give him the numbers we could work with and asked if it was possible - he told us what Leith Nissan could do, and we were pleasantly surprised - we could work with the numbers he presented and they could provide us with the vehicle we asked about. We arrived at the dealership after work that day, and due to some unforeseen circumstances, we were there for much longer than anticipated. Darien and the new GM, Tony Enderle, made the wait well worth our while and gave us a great deal on exactly what we had asked for. They were able to offer us a surprising amount for our trade-in and went far above and beyond to make the deal happen for us so we could drive home a brand-new 2017 Nissan Rogue. We are very thankful to Darien and Tony for putting together for us such a generous deal and helping us make it all happen. These guys make it easy to become loyal Leith Nissan customers!

The ride is great and has the feel of a regular gas engine car although much quieter because of the electric motor. The body styling has i,improved and it looks more sporty. Overall, it is a great ride and love not going to the gas station.

The Nissan Leaf EV - A Nice Little Car!
by CJ from Commerce Twp, MI

This is my first electric vehicle. I love new tech & always wanted an EV, but the new ones are still too expensive for me. I recently purchased a 2012 Nissan Leaf SL, and am really enjoying it. It's a "1st Generation" Leaf (2011-2012), so it's got a couple drawbacks. It's got a 24 kWh battery, which only had a 75 mile range when new. It's got the 1st Gen heater, which sucks more power than later models. It's almost 7 years old, so the battery has lost a little capacity & only does 50-60 miles now (depending on how cold it is). Those are the negatives of an older EV. Now, the positives: It still drives like new. Ultra smooth & quiet. These EVs need virtually no maintenance. It's VERY peppy from zero-to-45, and not too shabby after that. There's literally NO noise produced unless you're moving or running something. It charges in about 12-14 hours from empty on a regular 110 household plug, 4-6 hours on a 220, and 30 MINUTES with the quick DC chargers you find in some gas stations. It's just a cool car if you're a tech geek. It's kinda like a video game because you find yourself adjusting your driving as a challenge to get the most range for your charge. Since I only have a 40-mile round trip to work, this car works great as a commuter vehicle. In a few years, I'll probably move on to a newer EV with longer range, but as a 'gateway' starter EV, an older Nissan Leaf is a great way to begin. The 1st Generation models can be had for around $7000 now (they were $36k new!), and are pretty widely available. Just make sure you get one that still has decent capacity left on the battery. At 7-ish years old, mine still has 11 out of 12 'capacity bars' showing on the original battery. That translates to around 80-85%. Still lots of life left. Avoid any that have 9 bars or less or have spent their lives in hot places like Arizona that kill batteries faster. Replacing the main battery is crazy-expensive (around $9k)! But one that's been well cared for can still provide you several good years for a pretty modest price.

My experience Saturday was awesome. Pretty much went to LOOK at vehicles and ended up leaving with one! My credit is terrible from past situations with an ex and I thought it was hopeless.. Keith at apex imports did his tricks and got me approved for my 2016 GMC Terrain. I am one very satisfied customer! :) thank you, Keith!

The perfect commuter car
by Tony in San Diego from San Diego
January 18, 2019

While doing my research for an EV, I had a few criteria: 1) The price needs to be under $35K 2) The battery range has to be at least 120 miles. 3) It needs to have Drive Assist and Intelligent Cruise Control (which I used in my friend's Tesla and decided that they would make driving much safer and much less stressful). Leaf met all these criteria. With the $7500 CA rebate and 10K federal rebate, my cost ended up being only about 24K for the car. My commute is 15 miles one way. With the Leaf's battery capacity, I only have to charge once a week at the cost of about $10. But the best parts of the Leaf are its Pro-Pilot and Intelligent Cruise Control (the package cost $2200 at my dealership). I wouldn't get a Leaf without them. They make driving so much easier, safer, and more comfortable. The ride itself is very smooth in my opinion. I drive mostly in Eco mode, and the responsiveness is sufficient in my opinion. It is extremely quiet. When I make calls from my phone through Apple Car Play, people I call can't tell that I was calling from a car. The one-pedal driving is even much better than Tesla (according to my friend who owns a Tesla). While a Tesla won't come to a full stop until you hit the brake, Leaf will eventually stop once you take your foot off the gas pedal. It does take some getting used to, but once you get used to it, you'd never want to drive without it! I only gave 4 stars for the interior design, because it feels that there is no "uniformity" in the design. For example, to park, you push a button, but to activate the Eco mode, you pull a switch. It's a minor gripe, though.
