When I 1st walked in the building, I was immediately greeted by Chano King. This guy knew his stuff. I got my a great deal for my trade in and by me into a brand new Rogue. He even showed me how to work the features in my new vehicle. I was very happy with my visit. White Marsh CarMax treated me excellent. After being married for 34 years,I had never bought a car on my own. My husband had done all the dealings for all our cars. He passed away 11 months ago. It was certainly a big life issue for me. My salesman Zack was very professional and not pushy at all.My daughter has dealt with Carmax for her cars in the past. She convinced me to try them. I can say I was not let down in any way. I traded my car and bought a 2016 Toyota Rav4. Very low mileage and like new.Drives so smooth. If I ever need a car in the future, Carmax will be my place to shop. Thank you for making my First Car buying experience a pleasure.
I came in on a Monday morning enjoyed great customer service from Yevgen, he allowed me to be in control of my experience. They were very patient and offered me coffee and didn???t force anything. This team was very upfront and did extra by keeping me informed on the process and procedures. I would recommend Yassine or Yevgen when purchasing a vehicle from this particular location.
On February 12th I purchased a 2011 Volvo S40 R Design. Very nice car. So i decided to take it on a nice road trip to see how the car performs. Immediately I noticed that the gas mileage was deteriorating. Went from getting 24mpg to about 17 mpg. Also the car stalled on me twice upon start up. But started up fine after a restart. Contacted service and they set me up with an appointment to get the car checked out. The service advisor contacted me and told me that they had done a diagnostic on the car and the knock sensor was bad....... Shouldn't a diagnostic had been done before I purchased the car?..... Also using the audio system I noticed that one of the speakers was busted..... Hope I haven't purchased a lemon from carmax. Is this a start of future issues.
Even though we made an appointment to test drive a car, we sat waiting for 15 minutes, only to be seen by someone asking us what we were selling. Then had to wait another 5 minutes for them to find us a salesman, who had adequate general knowledge, but not specific for the SUV we test drove. Then he had no flexibility on pricing, even though it had flaws.
I bought a new RAV4 through Jerry Potts at Laurel, MD new Toyota lot. Great experience! Gave me straightforward honest info with zero pressure. Best buying experience I ever had, and a great price. I would do it again in a heart beat.
We met Sean Prather at 4:45 on a 100 degree Saturday evening. After a horrible afternoon of test driving cars at 4 other dealers, we stopped at Laurel Kia on our way home. Sean stayed late to show me a car, which I loved. I had second thoughts over the weekend and I went back at 5pm tonight. He let me sit in 5 cars, stood outside with me in a hailstorm, and helped me decide what would best fit my needs. I am very happy with the entire experience and highly recommend Laurel Kia and Sean Prather. The finance professional was also super helpful. The dealership is no-frills. But they have complimentary beverages and it’s very clean and upbeat. If I wanted a manicure I would go to a nail shop. I wanted a car, and I got one today! Thanks!
My sales associate was Jordan Bates. Upon meeting Jordan, he greeted us and apologized about being a little late. He had a customer he was assisting before us and their appointment went a little longer than expected. Jordan made us very comfortable immediately; he asked if we needed anything such as beverages or anything else to ease this process. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle I inquired about and soon asked me if I wanted to test drive the vehicle. While driving, he told me more about the features of the vehicle, and had great general conversations. Normal car salesmen try to force me to buy a vehicle I inquire about; but Jordan did not do that at all. I did not feel pressured to buy the car. He was also able to get me the rate I wanted regarding this car. I would definitely refer him to family and friends who are looking for a new vehicle.
I worked with John Massaqoui who was the best salesman I ever had. He was straight to the point and did not play the old sneaky car salesman. He researched the absolute best deal for my unfortunate situation and for that i am more than thankful.
