Treated Well - Friendly & Efficient

I made an appointment for service (oil change & tire rotation) for 11:30 a.m. on a Tuesday, and because I cannot be away from my business for very long, I also arranged a shuttle to take me back to my office. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by both a service associate who verified my appointment and checked in my vehicle, and then escorted to my service adviser, Jeff. As Jeff was preparing my service order, I mentioned that I had arranged for the shuttle. He indicated that the shuttle was just loading and getting ready to leave, however, there was no car ahead of my Mustang and the service should take no more than 45 minutes. I chose to stay and wait, as it would have taken much longer to go and come back with the shuttle. I made myself comfortable in the waiting area, which was not very crowded, was clean and even had coffee and snacks available. I wasn't expecting my car to be ready so soon! 35 minutes after I sat down, checked my email and made a couple of phone calls, Jeff came back to tell me that my car was ready. As I was checking-out, I asked Jeff if they offered a car wash or detailing service. He mentioned the price of the detailing, but also stated that they give a free car wash with the oil change (OK, "The Works" package, which I received), however I should allow another 45 minutes. I'll do it next time. Short of not having to leave my office to have my car serviced, I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Ferman Ford's service, based upon this experience.

I have only driven the NV SL for two days. I took a dealer vehicle, and put it through its paces, both in town, and on the highway, and off the interstates. In short, did all I could to see if I would like it I am not getting my 2013 for a couple of months, and we are planning to go to Alaska, driving from Florida. We like everthing about the vehicle. From its beauty both inside and out, to its fine accoutrements, I suspect this will be an adventure. So many times, people stopped and stared, wondering what we had and were amazed when we showed them inside. I just know I am going to be a happy owner. We like the idea of an inverter so we don't have to fool with plugs and cigarette lighter plugs. The AC is more than sufficient to get us thru the deserts of the west, and room to sleep in, and to be very usable when a nice motel is not available. USB port to charge things. Can't ask for more. Helped me get rid of my problem car.

I had a 4 year old "2013" equinox with chronic engine issues. After working with my previous deal to no avail. Bob bell tried to help with warranty and then gave me a good trade and a good deal, stepping up to a Traverse. I made a rash/ angry decision to get rid of the equinox. Rob S. found what I wanted and got me out the door in good time. Didn't think I would ever buy another bow tie. Glad we did. Much better vehicle.

Can Hardly Say Enough Good About It
by Big Family from Trenton, NJ
May 15, 2013

We currently have five children aged one to twelve, and we may have more. Needless to say the usual options--minivans and SUVs don't really cut it for us, especially not for a new vehicle investment for the family. So what's left? Passenger vans and a couple other oversized SUV options. Armada and Suburbans are overpriced and barley top the common 7-passenger options, with not much room for stuff. As I said, we didn't want to invest in a new vehicle only to have to go bigger in a couple years. So a passenger van was the choice. I've never been a fan of the van look or the big honking bench bench bench approach. So I was thrilled to see another option. The NV may not be the most beautiful vehicle, but I think it's a head above the standard van look. In fact, I have a hard time thinking of it as a van--more like a truck or maybe a big SUV. The seating is as awesome as the marketing makes it out to be. We haven't figured out the 300+ configurations, but the flexibility is awesome. We removed the last row (for now) and scooted the 2nd & 3rd rows back, which gives tons of leg room and copious cargo space, while comfortably seating eight. We bought this about three weeks ago, just before an epic road trip. We put 2800 miles on it in the last couple weeks. Up and down mountain gravel roads, along highways, and of course city. I am a big guy--over 300lbs and six foot. I was impressed how comfortable it was for many hours of driving. The kids were comfy, too, and my wife even rode in the 2nd row with the baby for many hours without complaint. The integrated seat belts are nice indeed. The back doors with the magnetic locking is great--worked with wind on an incline in the mountains. We love the sliding door--no more worrying about kids banging into things. We opted for the V8 SV with towing and tech. We haven't towed yet, but there is plenty of power. Sucker will get up and go when you need it for sure. I wouldn't go off roading, but as I said, it managed to power up the gravel mountain roads fully loaded with fam and cargo. Be nice if there were an AWD/4WD option, but no biggie most of the time. MPG - we seemed to average around 15mpg on the trip. You can get better if you stay closer to 55/60, but I guess the drag at 70/75 pulls you back, plus of course stop and go, it will gulp gas, but you don't get this for its gas mileage, and its comparable, actually impressive, given what a big box it is. My V6 2004 Ram 1500 averages 15mpg... One thing I liked was the minimal options. I hate sifting throw tens of options when configuring a car, always not sure about the choices, feeling like I'm wasting money or missing out, and ending up with a ton more $$ on the price tag. This one starts at a very, very good baseline, and doesn't burden you with too many options. I'd say that the tech package is a must have just for the back side camera--you can't hardly see behind you, and sonar only goes so far. That said, I am very underwhelmed with the radio and nav. We kept comparing the built-in nav (which requires a subscription to keep it up to date) and maps on our phones, and the built in nav usually didn't pick the most optimal route, and it didn't give you specific other options. I couldn't believe that it doesn't support Bluetooth audio streaming. Isn't this 2013? It requires you to use USB, and it doesn't have a pause--you have to turn it off and on. Factory audio never fails to disappoint. The down side is the rear camera is integrated, so replacing it isn't much of an option. Other than that, we wanted the front sonar, but you only get that with the top level trim, which forces you to get leather seats. Given we have a bunch of small kids, we opted to stick with the easier to take care of cloth in the SV trim and just miss out on the front sonar. You will have to practice parking in this behemoth, but just park a bit further out and give yourself extra room. Overall, we absolutely love it. It's really perfect for us, and probab

Dealer Review
THE BEST dealer to buy a car from.

I will start by saying my scenario is one that no dealer would find ideal, and any other dealer would have probably told me "tough luck", not at Rosenthal Fairfax Honda. For this reason, I HIGHLY recommend them as THE dealer to go to. I came to Rosenthal Fairfax Honda to purchase two used vehicles, for my wife and myself, and I have never received such great service as I did here. I had two vehicles to trade in, and they gave very fair and reasonable trade in values on both vehicles. During the whole process they made sure I was comfortable, and that I liked the vehicles. My salesperson, Aladdin Faruque, was very accommodating and wanted to make sure I was completely satisfied. I never at any time felt hurried or pushed. His level of professionalism and courtesy is exactly what you would look for in a salesperson. Here is where I feel this particular dealer shines above the rest. To give some background, I live in Maryland, and this dealer is of course in Virginia. So any vehicle purchased out of state must go through Maryland State Inspection. Well, the first vehicle purchased, passed the inspection after some minor issues. The second vehicle failed, and for a very costly repair. I contacted the dealer and informed them of the situation, not expecting much. To my surprise, they offered to complete the repair at their facility and to bring it in, I was even given a loaner vehicle to drive in the meantime. Well, after a few replacement parts, it turns out that there were more components that would need to be replaced, and even after that, there was no guarantee this would resolve the issue ($4,000+ in repairs). They knew I had to young daughters, and with safety being an issue, they insisted on not continuing any further with the vehicle. I loved the vehicle, and persisted on just fixing the issue, and even offered to pay half just to get the vehicle back. Ivan Micheletti and David Dragelin, the Pre-Owned Directors, were willing to work with me, but were very insistent that I pick another vehicle. By this time about 3 weeks had passed, and they were still willing to switch me out to another vehicle. I spent a good amount of time test driving other vehicles, but could not find one that I liked. Then Ivan made me an offer that completely caught me off guard. There was one vehicle there that I did see in their inventory that I liked, however it was out of my price range. Ivan being very understanding of my situation, offered me this vehicle at a price below market value, knowing he could get more for it, just to help me out. Ultimately, this vehicle was a little newer, had lower mileage and is a much nicer vehicle altogether. This vehicle passed the inspection, and I could not be happier to finally have a vehicle again. Basically, to sum up my long post, Rosenthal Fairfax Honda has been the BEST dealer BY FAR that I have ever dealt with in my life. If you are looking for a vehicle, new or used, come here FIRST. Ask for Aladdin Faruque and you'll have the experience you've been looking for. If you get the chance to work with Ivan Micheletti or Dave Dragelin, you'll see what i'm talking about. Of course, this is a dealer, and you have to be reasonable, but you'd be hard-pressed to find this kind of service anywhere else these days. Buy from Rosenthal Fairfax Honda, and leave happy.
