My wife and I purchased a 2019 Impreza Base Hatchback model in Crimson Red after her vehicle was totaled in an accident. We were very pleased with the purchase experience with Alex O'Cull and Moe Abbasi the finance manager. Buying from Falcone was the most efficient and easy process I have ever gone through. Alex was quick to respond to my emails and questions, and I liked how he did not once make us feel pressured into looking into more expensive options since we knew going in that we wanted a base model; it didn't feel like I was talking to a salesman but someone that was just trying to help us out. I have been put off in the past at other dealerships that try too hard to sell their product and try to talk you into expensive options and trim levels. I get the fact that salesmen/women are trying to make a living, but appreciate how Alex was being straight with us. I love the pathfinder and haven't had many issues recently, the car began shuddering when it is shifting so I looked it up and the cvt valve needs replaced. It is 3rd row seating which makes it easy to transport more people and still has trunk space.

So we do love our Pathfinder, but there are some caveats to be aware of. First off, on the positive, the car gets good gas mileage. We regularly get about 23MPG. What is weird is that the mileage for short trips around town is abysmal, typically about 12MPG. When combined with regular driving, including HWY, it bumps up to 23 for us. I think this is because the car is always running for short trips. It never seems to go to all-electric mode like a Prius does. But we are satisfied with the mileage. The interior is spacious, attractive and comfortable. However the climate controls can be funky. For example, in order for the folks in the rear seat to get air, you need to have the A/C on. The car drives beautifully, but for some reason the suspension is awful. The car doesn't take bumps well. So, there are some flaws in the car, but for us we love that we have an attractive, reliable, comfortable vehicle that gets good gas mileage. I would highly recommend the car.

My Carmax Experience

On December 23rd of 2016 I purchased a 2014 Jeep Patriot from the Pompano Beach Carmax (Sample Road). My wife is pregnant and will soon give birth to our first child. Before this we were a one car family with a Fiat 500 and my wife was very concerned about not having a car to bring baby boy home from the hospital in, not to mention to make it to all of the Doctor appointments for wellness checks in. So, I decided why not make the purchase a Christmas present/surprise since we needed one anyways! Only problem was I had this revelation on Wednesday December 21, 2016 and Carmax was to be closed on the 24th and 25th for Christmas. The real issue was that the perfect car (She had been wanting a white Patriot for a few years now) was all the way in Clearwater, FL... some 250 miles away. I was told by the sales rep at Pompano Beach that while it was possible the car may be there by Friday, in time for me to pick up prior to Christmas, it was in no way a certainty. I then contacted the Clearwater store to speak with someone who handles the outgoing shipments and he basically told me that it was not going to happen. From my understanding, the way it works with Carmax is when the car you want is at a location less than 200 miles Carmax will do the shipping itself and it usually takes 1-3 days. But when it is further than that they outsource to carrier companies. In that case they have to wait until they have enough cars to send to make it economical for them to do so and also deal with bidding/price hunting etc... which complicates the who thing and makes everything take much longer. After learning all of this I gave the corporate office a call and got in touch with a Emilee, an analyst from the Carmax Customer Care Team. I explained my situation and how much it would mean to my wife and I (both in the form of glee for her and reduced anxiety for the both of us) if they could somehow get the car to Pompano Beach in time for me to pick up on Friday. Before the end of the week Emilee had gotten a whole team of people in the corporate office working on getting the car to us in time. I received telephone updates from her all along the way. By Thursday afternoon I received an email informing me that the car was in transit, followed by a call from Emilee letting me know that everything worked out and the car should be there Thursday evening or Friday morning and a call from the Sales Manager at the Pompano Beach store letting me know that he had spoken to Emilee and once the car arrived they were going to expedite the "unpacking" and everything that that entails. The real cherry on top came on January 3rd when my wife received a FedEx package while I was at work. Inside she found a set of very nice swaddling blankets and a card that read: "Chris, Thank you so much for letting our Pompano Beach Team help you find your new-to-you Jeep Patriot for your growing family! Here's a small token from CarMax to welcome your new addition. We hope your Jeep Patriot takes you on incredible new adventures! Sincerely, Emilee, Your CarMax Customer Care Team" Everyone was super amazing and I could not be more grateful for the professional and caring people at both the local Sample Road Pompano Beach Store and the Corporate office. Thanks to Cristy (Pompano Beach sales rep) as well for making the whole process and painless as possible. As a side note: The Patriot was absolutely immaculate inside and out despite having 27k miles on it, my wife would have sworn it was new before she saw the odemeter... She was happy I saved us some money ;)

Smooth Ride but mileage is not what Nissan claims

I purchased a Pathfinder SL Hybrid Front Wheel drive. Ride is smooth even over potholes. Braking is fine. Audio System (Bose) is excellent. Dashboard is clean and easy to operate. Seats are comfy...especially with memory settings. EPA Mileage rating is 25 MPG city and 28MPG highway. However, after driving for 1600 miles, I get only 21.7MPG city. Each time I turn the engine off, the display gives rating from 19miles to 33MPG dependin on how long you drive......but the average miles per gallon when I pump gas turns out to be 21.7. So, 25-MPG in city is apparently a false claim and Nissan might meant to say that we get the best mileage only when KEEP A/C, FAN, AUDIO SYSTEM, SEAT WARMER ARE ALL OFF but that is not the practical driving conditions we drive on. Rear visibility is very poor. No equalizer in Bose audio system. Visibilty around on the driver side mirror is bad. If u r short, u need raise the seat. Overall ride quality is great. But mileage is not what Nissan claims to be for a hybrid. There are several design flaws that Nissan needs to correct such as rear visibility, driver side visibility over the side mirrors. Turning radius is wide but probably because of 18-in wheel size and bigger size front side. Highway mileage is something yet to experience.

So, this site does not have an easy way to change reviews like Yelp... To that effect I'm writing a review to counter my previous one. You hear so many stories about used car dealerships fleecing and cheating the unwary consumer and even people who have had some experience with the maintenance and care of vehicles... I left that same fear color my review before Rob, Sports & Imports, had any chance to defend himself or take care of my problem. For that I am sorry. The vehicle I purchased had seemed to be in good shape... However things are not always what they seem. I have had two issues with the vehicle that's far, 1 minor and one major, brake lines and transmission. To Rob and Mike's credit they have fixed each problem at Great personal cost to themselves and their business... They have consistently done the right thing and the fair thing. Used cars, like any product can suffer from unknown wear and tear as I'm sure all those who trade-in vehicles are not exclusively honest with how much damage they've done to the vehicle... I attributed this to Sports & Imports and I couldn't have been more wrong. As I write this review they have worked with an alacrity and gregarious speed to put a whole new transmission on my vehicle. This is the kind of dedication you very rarely see in any kind of sales. Please, while I'm awaiting my prior of you to come down listen to this one and not the fear addled ramblings of a worn Chevy Avalanche owner

My wife and I bought a 2014 Pathfinder Hybrid SV 4WD, in 2015 that was a dealer leftover. We got a steal on the car, and have loved every minute of it. When we bought the car, the dealer said that they stopped making them due to the fact that they were not getting their stated gas mileage. My wife and I drove from DC to Montreal Canada and calculated 29.4 MPG. Like all Hybrids, its all about how you drive the vehicle. We average around town 26MPG, but on the highway we normally get between 28-30 MPG. This is calculated and not by what the computer display states. The car has great pick up, love that it is supercharged. When you give it some gas, you can really hear the supercharger wind up. The ride is super comfy, great for log trips. We have fit 7 full size adults in it with room to spare. The 4WD system is great in the snow, and the pathfinder tows our boat trailer with ease. We couldn't be happier with our purchase.

Exceptional mileage, near perfect family vehicle

After having driven my Pathfinder hybrid for 2,400 miles, I think its safe to say its the best car that I've owned. Mileage is exceptional, provided you realize its a hybrid and drive it accordingly...I normally get 525-550 miles out of roughly 17.5 gallons of gas driving around town, thats well into the 30-32 MPG range, which is phenomenal for a 4,500 lb. vehicle. It is very comfortable and excellent in minimizing road noise. Handling is a little better then one might expect for a vehicle of this size, and overall ride dynamics are excellent. On the inside, there is plenty of room for a growing family and the dash layout is uncluttered and easy to understand. Only nitpicks are some cheap interior trim pieces and some poor rear sightlines due to narrow windows and 2nd row headrests (but hey, thats what the back-up camera is for). Overall, it really is a superb vehicle that delivers in all facets.

My husband told me about Carvana from a commercial ad he heard/saw. I laughed about it and said 'yah right, there's gotta be a hitch somewhere'. A few weeks later, he brought up Carvana again....curious, I decided to check it out online. The key words there was 'check it out'. I ended up buying a vehicle a couple hours later. Yeup, it was just like that. No hassle, no hidden costs or agendas. So after reviewing everything on the site, I started looking at minivans....I started falling in love with minivans....I started buying minivans....all through carvana. Once I locked in the one I wanted, I went through the credit process, documentation process, and pick up date (I chose pick up - because at this point, I still felt a little 'leary' about the whole deal'. It was so simple, and so honest, and so real. Over the course of the next 24 hours, all my submitted documents were approved and we just had two days to go to pick up the new mininvan. When we got to the store, it's not like a dealership with a lot, but it had three beautiful, well lit, very clean, showroom like bays that your vehicle is sitting in for your to do a complete inspection of it. It was very classy. Please note, our particular location does not have the car vending machine just yet. After passing our over check, I hopped in the car and drove it 65 miles home. She ran like a charm and I knew I had 7 days to decide if I wanted to keep her not. At day 3, although I loved her, she didn't have all the bells and whistles I truly wanted so that evening, I was back on the Carvana site, shopping for a replacement minivan....it's so easy to do when it gives you results based on your financial settings....I found the new 'her' a few hours later. I ordered her up and made the quick call explaining I was swapping and chose to have the vehicle delivered instead of going there to save time. The whole swap process took 2 days...they pulled up right to my house with my next new minivan. In my eyes, she was perfect, but I found a flaw before she was even off the truck. There was a huge bolt in the back tire. I was so disappointed. But Carvana took care of that so amazingly over the top.....they still brought her off the truck so I can check out the interior, test drive it, etc. We found a few more things that we felt should be fixed...minor things. Carvana took note of the items, and took the vehicle back on the truck but promised me (because I really wanted her that day) they would bring her back with a new tire....they kept their promise, three hours later she was back with a brand new tire, not one, but TWO brand new back tires. And they put an extra Carvana cup in the car for me. They swapped the minivans and off the old one went and there I sat with the new one. Smile ear to ear. I worked with Carvana on 6 items that we believed needed repair before committing to keep the vehicle. Carvana went above and beyond. I got an estimate for the repairs at a local shop, Carvana approved it, and within a few weeks, all repairs were completed through Carvana and I have the perfect vehicle, no hassle, no hidden agendas. And every person I dealt with on the phone or in person were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, AND JUST THE BEST!! My Carvana experience was the absolute best. I will never go back to buying a car the old 'car dealership' way. And ironically, we had bought our other vehicle from a dealership just 3 months before being introduced to Carvana. I will give one warning about buying a vehicle through Carvana this way....it can be addicting..lol :-) Yes, I still shop Carvana cars every now and then....I don't even need a car, I just love seeing what Carvana has because it was sooo simple :-) Thank you Carvana for a trememdously wonderful experience.

My old car was my third minivan in 15 years. Now that my kids are older and leaving for college, I wanted something that could carry 6 or 7 passengers but was ... well... NOT a minivan. I did some research on late model used three-row SUVs, and found the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. (My favorite of my three vans was a 2005 Nissan Quest, so choosing Nissan was easy for me.) Before I started browsing for cars, I applied for credit through Carvana, and was approved. Next, I entered in all of the information about the van I was trading for the Pathfinder. (Beware -- the trade-in amount is only good for 7 days, and it can change wildly in that time!) I was pleased with the trade amount, and it was great that I could shop for my new car and see my down payment and monthly payment for every car I viewed! My specifications were pretty clear -- AWD, less than 10,000 miles, and never a rental car. I found my dream car a few days later, and started the purchase process. It was quite smooth and the directions were very clear about what documents need to be uploaded. I got on chat with Carvana staff right away, and they were able to return the trade in value to NEARLY what it was before the expiration. This is something that needs to be addressed by Carvana -- once a customer is to a certain point in the process, those numbers need to be frozen. So we set a delivery time, and the Carvana rep was pretty much on time considering he was traveling 70 miles or so from the Chicago office. Everything was smooth -- signed a couple more papers, took my Pathfinder for a spin, Eric inspected my trade, and I left within 30 minutes with my new car. I would also like to add that I drove directly to my mechanic, so he could inspect the car and make sure I wasn't buying something with hidden damage. My old car was my third minivan in 15 years. Now that my kids are older and leaving for college, I wanted something that could carry 6 or 7 passengers but was ... well... NOT a minivan. I did some research on late model used three-row SUVs, and found the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. (My favorite of my three vans was a 2005 Nissan Quest, so choosing Nissan was easy for me.) Before I started browsing for cars, I applied for credit through Carvana, and was approved. Next, I entered in all of the information about the van I was trading for the Pathfinder. (Beware -- the trade-in amount is only good for 7 days, and it can change wildly in that time!) I was pleased with the trade amount, and it was great that I could shop for my new car and see my down payment and monthly payment for every car I viewed! My specifications were pretty clear -- AWD, less than 10,000 miles, and never a rental car. I found my dream car a few days later, and started the purchase process. My husband told me about Carvana from a commercial ad he heard/saw. I laughed about it and said 'yah right, there's gotta be a hitch somewhere'. A few weeks later, he brought up Carvana again....curious, I decided to check it out online. The key words there was 'check it out'. I ended up buying a vehicle a couple hours later. Yeup, it was just like that. No hassle, no hidden costs or agendas. So after reviewing everything on the site, I started looking at minivans....I started falling in love with minivans....I started buying minivans....all through carvana. Once I locked in the one I wanted, I went through the credit process, documentation process, and pick up date (I chose pick up - because at this point, I still felt a little 'leary' about the whole deal'. It was so simple, and so honest, and so real. Over the course of the next 24 hours, all my submitted documents were approved and we just had two days to go to pick up the new mininvan. When we got to the store, it's not like a dealership with a lot, but it had three beautiful, well lit, very clean, showroom like bays that your vehicle is sitting in for your to do a complete inspection of it. It was very classy. Please note, our particular location does not have the car vending machine just yet. After passing our over check, I hopped in the car and drove it 65 miles home. She ran like a charm and I knew I had 7 days to decide if I wanted to keep her not. At day 3, although I loved her, she didn't have all the bells and whistles I truly wanted so that evening, I was back on the Carvana site, shopping for a replacement minivan....it's so easy to do when it gives you results based on your financial settings....I found the new 'her' a few hours later. I ordered her up and made the quick call explaining I was swapping and chose to have the vehicle delivered instead of going there to save time. The whole swap process took 2 days...they pulled up right to my house with my next new minivan. In my eyes, she was perfect, but I found a flaw before she was even off the truck. There was a huge bolt in the back tire. I was so disappointed. But Carvana took care of that so amazingly over the top.....they still brought her off the truck so I can check out the interior, test drive it, etc. We found a few more things that we felt should be fixed...minor things. Carvana took note of the items, and took the vehicle back on the truck but promised me (because I really wanted her that day) they would bring her back with a new tire....they kept their promise, three hours later she was back with a brand new tire, not one, but TWO brand new back tires. And they put an extra Carvana cup in the car for me. They swapped the minivans and off the old one went and there I sat with the new one. Smile ear to ear. I worked with Carvana on 6 items that we believed needed repair before committing to keep the vehicle. Carvana went above and beyond. I got an estimate for the repairs at a local shop, Carvana approved it, and within a few weeks, all repairs were completed through Carvana and I have the perfect vehicle, no hassle, no hidden agendas. And every person I dealt with on the phone or in person were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, AND JUST THE BEST!! My Carvana experience was the absolute best. I will never go back to buying a car the old 'car dealership' way. And ironically, we had bought our other vehicle from a dealership just 3 months before being introduced to Carvana. I will give one warning about buying a vehicle through Carvana this way....it can be addicting..lol :-) Yes, I still shop Carvana cars every now and then....I don't even need a car, I just love seeing what Carvana has because it was sooo simple :-) Thank you Carvana for a trememdously wonderful experience.
