Nice guys, low pressure, isnt 100% as described
by honesty-honestly? from Clearwater, fl

Really nice guys, no pressure at all. Let us test drive and didn't pressure us. Let down was the car wasn't as described. I appreciate honestly & transparency. During test drive A/C malfunctioned and cut off completely repeatedly. Said outside temp was 75 degrees, when it's over 95 outside. Dash was lifted and separating, electric seat controls on driver side weren't fully functional, one out of 3 worked. They were priced just over the high end of KBB's suggested dealer price and at that price, the car should be in great condition. If they had mentioned any of these things when I asked, prior to driving down and priced the car accordingly, I'd give them 5 stars for being completely honest and upfront. I also wouldn't have driven down for that car, but been willing to have them find me what I'm looking for. However, if you want a no pressure lot, they've got it and nice guys.

I have a beautiful family of 6 and this van is very spacious. I've had my van for a little over a year and it has provided my family with all the room that we need. With 4 children it provided easy access for them to get in and out without having to worry about someone's hand getting slammed in the door.

Went there after going to multiple other dealers. Having 230 plus vehicles, we actually felt like we had options. Once we got there we where given time to actually walk around and look. WE found the perfect car for us and financing was very simple and quick. WE left there in a matter of 1 hour and 30 minutes.

This is a good vehicle for your bucks. Extra space and roomy. Only problem is that there seems to be a common problem with the fuel pump that could mess the TCM, so prepare for that.

Go for it! Mitch does business the right way!
by Jean Christensen from Belvidere, IL

From start to finish, doing business with Kevin and Mitch at Keller North Country was superb! I found the car I wanted on Cars.com five hours from where I live. I contacted them to let them know my husband and I were making the 5 hour drive to check out /purchase the car. They assured me it would be there and that it was worth the trip. It was!! Before we left home, they notified me they were sending the car out for service to satisfy an open manufacturer recall and communicated when the car was back in their possession. We asked them to take it a step further and to have their mechanic change the timing belt before we arrive and they agreed. When we got there, inspected the car and finally met Mitch in person, it was a very satisfying experience. We couldn't be any happier with the vehicle or with Keller North Country. It's really great to find a dealer that does business the old fashioned way, the right way, where honesty and a handshake is the way they do business. They are a no pressure dealer. You never got the sense they pushed to make a sale. They wanted what was best for us not for themselves. They went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and address our concerns. If you are considering buying a vehicle from them, GO FOR IT!! Whenever we are on the market for another vehicle, they will be the first dealer we contact. If they don't have what you are looking for, they have the means of finding it.

Love the reliability, Great for moving and transporting most anything. Love ability to walk between the bucket seats from front row to back, when helping my child in the back seats. Love opening the back hatch remotely when approaching the van with arms full. The V6 engine performed a 'quick get up and go.' Love the air flow venting throughout the whole van. Easy to get in and out of the van.The height allows better view of the road. A lot of storage.

I always have a great experience at Lithia Honda Service Center. The service representatives are very helpful and clear when explaining what your car may need and how much it will cost. They will also tell you honestly when something does not need to be done and if certain things can be put off and done at a later time. I feel like the repairs have been high quality and I know I can trust the technicians and staff. I'll definitely come back.

At 176,000 miles this vehicle has been extremely reliable. Bought new - one among the last 10,000 built that year after the Japanese engineers cleaned up the quality control issues at the Canton plant. Engine does not use one drop of oil. Original transmission. Have maintained all items. No A/C issues. Tires easily get 45 - 50,000 miles. Finally replaced timing chains due to worn guides @ 174,000 miles. Extremely heavy duty timing chains. No electrical issues. Finally replaced front rotors @ 150,000 miles. Overall everything seems to last longer than expected. Will keep for awhile longer.

Awful Minivan
by Tired from Fredericksburg, VA

I use to love the Quest. I had a 94 Quest for 10 years with no issues. Bought the 04 Quest new and after hitting 100,000 miles have had nothing but problems and too much money being put into this van. The check engine light kept coming on. The timing chain and water pump were replaced. It worked for a while and started acting up again. I would be sitting at a light and would have to shift into park or neutral to give it gas to avoid it cutting off on me. The senors were changed numerous times, would work for a while and then act up. I finally had the engine oil changed and the mechanic said there was sludge in it. He cleaned it out and said to only use Castrol and certain other oils that I can't think of at the moment. Now each time I get an oil change, I have them clean out the sludge and add Castrol, no more problems. The radio has stopped working. I only get static and a clicking sound. The DVD player is still working. The digital milage and gas displays some of the numbers. One of the rear lights keeps falling out of the ceiling. The van rattles so much on the inside, doors rattle, 3rd row seat rattles and has rattled since I had it. The dealer had it 3 times but could never fix the rear seat rattle. The van is roomy and has a nice ride. The headrest are uncomfortable on long trips. Good gas milage but with the other issues, it's not worth it. I will NEVER purchase another Nissan...EVER!!! I like the style of Nissan vehicles but...NOT.

We bought the Quest 2 months after our 4th child was born. He is now 9 and we still have him and the van ;) Prior to this we had a Grand Caravan and before that a Ford Explorer SUV. I love this van, I plan to drive it until the wheels fall off or the kids all move out. It has lots of room, love the dip in the rear for packing. We have fit ski and snowboard gear plus luggage for all of us in easily (just had to pop the bindings off a couple of snowboards to slide them under the seats) It drives beautifully on the highway, nice in town. Lots of room in the cabin, we do travel with everyone (including a large dog) and are all comfy. The turning radius is not great so parking in tight spots can be tricky. I do like that the engine has some attitude as I can be a bit of a leadfoot. Milage is fair, 11.4litres per 100km, The one we have is loaded with leather seats, seat warmers, AC, DVD system, etc. No issues with any of these. Maintenance has been reasonable, just had the rotors and brakes redone (2nd time in 177 000km for the rotors) and some front end work. Averaging about $2000-3000 per year for maintenance in a 9 year old vehicle is not so bad. We have not had any of the typical issues (water leakage, early brake wear etc.) I need new tires soon but have not found this excessive either, I still have the factory summers, and it is my front snows that are wearing down. One thing now is the back hatch has been acting up and occasionally sticks requiring someone to crawl in the back to pop it. This is new and I will have the dealer look at it at our next service. The reason we bought this van is that the Caravan kept breaking down and I needed something reliable. This van has been that and more. Would definitely buy another!

Nissan Quest To My Wallet
by Alex from Santa Paula, CA
December 12, 2012

Where to begin, we bought this van back in 06 with around 32k miles, it was the best looking mini van, SE package with electric doors/trunk, leather and the works. First off, the sunroof leaks! Every time it rains that sunroof leaks like there is no tomorrow. We took it in to Nissan because there was a recall, and they fixed it but it came back. Horrible experience with Nissan so we kept it like that, we don't get much rain in L.A. anyway. The center console looks amazing, until the paint starts to peel off, I'm not sure what caused it, maybe with the sun, but the whole center console its a disaster because of this, the shifter silver color its also fading, the leather steering wheel its also losing its color and turning a dark brown. The ceiling mount that has all the holders and lights, rattles badly! It used to give us a horrible headache on long trips, we took in to Nissan (again) and it was going to cost us over $1k to replace it....not worth it. the tire pressure sensors went bad, all four of them. So the low pressure sensor was on the whole time, it was $75 each x 4, not worth it. The brake pads/rotors were a major expense, we had to replace brake pads every 10k miles! that van went trough brake pads like crazy! Check engine light would come on and off, we did the 80k mile service and it was still there, we had to replace the CO2 sensor which was another $600 bucks. The electric doors would consistently get jammed. Overall it was a total disaster, I just traded it for a 2011 Ford Focus since our kids no longer use a booster seat, and we traded in our 04 quest with 109k miles 6 years later. Nightmare mini van, very confortable but I should of gone with the Honda van instead.

I bought the 2004 Quest brand new in 2003 and owned for 7 years. It excels in the area of comfort and convenience. Road trips are a joy with the flexible and comfortable interior and dual screens to watch movies. I know no other vehicle that has a better or more comfortable ride. Other than making sure that a wheel alignment is done every year and rotating the tires, I don't have any other recommendations. This vehicle tends to be hard on tires for some reason. We replaced the timing belt at 100,000 miles and I am sure it is good for its next 100,000 at least.

timing chain issues if the engine whines when pressing the gas. costly repair 1500 dollars at nissan and could have ruined my valves if broke down on the road. plastic tensioners wear down rather quickly even the dealerships are doing a lot of timing chain replacing. I now had a new one installed and I recommend a mechanic look at this problem on any used quest before committing to purchase it. This may be my last nissan I buy for I have owned nissans for over 30 yrs now.

Couldn't Be Happier
by R Dinehart from De Pere
December 3, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.3 (28 reviews)
I am an avid review reader, yet it is the very rarest of occasions that I ever write them. In the case of my vehicle purchase from Sunshine Auto, I feel compelled to share my experience so that other review readers have the chance to decide for themselves. My husband and I needed to add a second vehicle to our family. Unfortunately, due to a layoff a few years ago, our credit took a very painful hit. In our attempts to purchase a reliable car from the lots claiming to be designed for people in our situation, we found a great deal of frustration. We literally visited nearly all of the big name Buy-here Pay-here/We Finance places in the Green Bay area. Each place we visited was either downright rude and disrespectful after reviewing our credit and refusing to assist us, or they offered to finance if we could put 5k down on a 7k car. Needless to say, we were at our wits end and had given up hope on getting something from a dealer and had begun to check out beaters by owners online. Then, a co-worker mentioned a place in Menasha, Sunshine Auto. I reluctantly checked out the website and saw they had reasonable prices so I convinced my husband to let me drag him there. When we arrived on the lot, a gentleman cleaning a vehicle immediately spoke to us and welcomed us to look around. He offered not to hover while we looked but was there if we had questions or saw something we wanted to test drive. A few minutes later, a different gentleman who turned out to be the owner, Tom, came over and introduced himself and asked if he could help. We told him we were looking to buy a car and wanted to test drive a few. He was so patient with us while we drove at least 10 vehicles. We finally decided on a reasonably priced SUV. It was time to discuss financing options so I went in to the office to speak to him while my husband and little girls played with the store pet dog outside. I asked how the financing worked to get the SUV. I was very upfront and honest about our credit in an effort to avoid wasting anyone's time. Tom told me I wouldn't be able to finance any of the cars we had looked at, but could likely get approved for an even better one that we didn't look at because we didn't think we could ever get approved for it. I was excited about that prospect but also not optimistic. I explained to him about our unpleasant experiences at the other places and how everyone had turned us down for financing. I sadly told him not to bother because I knew we would not be able to get it done. This is where Tom really showed his true colors. He, in all sincerity and sympathy, looked at me and said "Will it hurt if we just try? I really want to help you and your family." I spoke to my husband briefly, and we decided to attempt one last time to get financing. You know what? It worked. We now have a beautiful, reliable, new-to-us car. Is it perfect? No, it isn't. It is a used car so I know better than to expect showroom quality. I could not be more pleased with our vehicle and the exceptional kindness and genuine concern Tom has given. He went above and beyond any expectations I might have had. 5 stars aren't enough!

Our Quest helped save our lives.

We owned a 2004 Quest for nearly 5 years. I intended to drive it until the doors fell off. But a fully loaded dump truck changed that plan. We were in a front end crash that totaled the van. We were hit by the dump truck and also hit an embankment. The length and weight of the Quest reduced the kinetic energy that moved through the vehicle due to the impact. The front end crash zone worked beautifully. My 2 young children were in the middle row in their car seats and seat belts. They were not physically injured. We were all able to walk away from a crash that would have been fatal in a standard vehicle. I loved my Quest before the crash and I love her even more now. I WILL get another Quest. The space is awesome! The wide seats are great. Having no middle console allowed me to walk through the entire vehicle. This is a huge safety bonus when dealing with kids in a parking lot or rest area since I could stay in the car and keep doors locked. It is also easier in rainy weather to load everyone, including Mom, in through one door quickly. There were a few minor issues like one of the side door lights popping loose when we hit a bump and a rear a/c vent cover that came loose when adjusted. But after experiencing that crash and being saved by the size of this van, who cares about those minor things. Thanks Nissan for making such a safe family vehicle. I am looking forward to owning another Quest.
