Most Fun Ever

On an impulse I purchased a 2007 Porsche Cayman from a private owner. Black with tan interior, just what I wanted. Lots of miles, 95000, but I thought "It's a Porsche". I am so glad that I did. This is the most fun I have ever had driving an automobile. I have an 2012 Mustang convertible, so I did not want another rag top, and the the Cayman is just possibly the best looking car ever. The handling is superb. It is not possible to find enough curvy roads to blast through. If you can find a better car than this one, if you are a driving enthusiast, then you had better buy it, because this one is a winner.

The most satisfying car Iv'e ever owned

This model was an "S" with the 3.4 engine, PDK along with full leather, 2 zone air, power steer and brakes. I have never driven a vehicle that handled better. Never saw a curve that it did not want to go faster in. The car was utterly reliable.I ran it like I stole it, first time I got 7K miles out of rear tires. The service dept just smiled.

Car Show Experience, Chapman BMW on Camelback, No Pressure
by Ben from DealerRater.com
December 3, 2018

So my wife and I decided our 18-year old BMW wagon was ready to be passed down and we had to replace it. Then our Small SUV broke down and we had to look at another car at the same time. We were looking to buy/lease two new cars. We were hoping for a BOGO, but couldn't find one. A friend recommended we speak with Craig Rusin. We went to BMW because our prior experience was 18-years great. When I arrived I asked for Craig and, lo and behold, I was talking with him. I explained I wanted to replace my SUV and possibly my wagon. He asked a few questions and we agreed to look at the X5 and the X3. Within 10 minutes we were in a parking lot test driving the X3. Craig's product knowledge made me feel like I was at The Phoenix Car Show which I attend each November. He explained the "Hold" feature and the benefit in traffic. Craig sat in the back seat and asked if he looked cramped. When I said "No," he replied, "and I am six-four!" I test drove the car on roads I drive every day so I could compare with my current cars. He sat quietly while I assessed the cabin's sounds and road noise (Virtually NONE). Craig had tremendous knowledge of the specifications (recommended tire pressure, the difference between SPORT mode and ECO-Pro mode gear ratios, and back seat size compared to the competition) and he never mentioned "Cup Holder" once - Thank you. He also was able to describe the various packages and told me if I built my car online he would find it or help with the ordering process. I said I needed to have my wife see the car and drive, so Craig told me his schedule and did not rush me to pick her up. He knew I was in the market and he did not rush my family's car buying process! I told him I was aware it was the end of the month and I was aware of the special deals that may expire and he never brought it up again as a reason to buy now. After my wife's test drive (both the X3 and X5) we selected a different X3 configuration and closed the deal with a different package and features at 9:55 PM. Seriously, 31-minutes later; I checked the clock (10:26 PM) as I drove the new X3 off the lot. We're loving our new X3 and highly recommend Craig Rusin and the whole Chapman BMW On Camelback team. Two days later, Caleb Spurlin (BMW Genius) walked me through how to actually use the X3. Two weeks later he emailed me and invited me to come in and clear up any questions or learn some tips and tricks. We liked our experience with Craig and his team so much we did it again the next day. Stay tuned...

I think I will keep this car until I die.

Bought this 2014 Cayman S used (15,000 miles) 3 years ago. Other than a nail in a tire and 2 oil changes, it hasn't seen the inside of a shop. (now 35,000 miles) Bought it in Denver and drove it home to the Atlanta area and got 31 mpg. (23 mpg in city driving) Driving from Denver to Atlanta made me want to skip the hotels and sleep. The PDK has been flawless. If you feel like you must shift gears, use the paddle shifters. You can't possibly shift as well as the PDK. I haven't been to the track, but this car makes you want to. I feel it has a lot of potential that I haven't tested. I've had some back pain (and 2 back surgeries) while driving my wife's Acura, but none while driving this car. I have only 2 problems. It sits low, and the side bolsters on the seats makes it somewhat difficult to get into. The 2nd is the cost of routine maintenance. $260 for an oil change I am not looking forward to the next scheduled maintenance when they have to change the 2 air filters and the cabin air filter. I watched a YouTube video, and you have to take the engine compartment apart. One day I came out to the parking lot to find a handwritten note under the wiper. It said "beautiful car" with a smiley face.

Late Friday afternoon, 105 degrees and our new Suburban broke the belt on the air conditioner. Pulled into the service area and was treated and cared for right away. Even knowing that they were booked solid for the next day, I was taken care of and my vehicle was repaired by 2:00pm the next day.

A brilliant sports car; the best Porsche on offer?
by Jarl from Sarpsborg, Norway
April 29, 2019

I have owned a 2016 Cayman GTS (981) for two years now, and it is just such a brilliant little sports car - from one of the best sports car producers in Europe. Actually, I suspect that the 981 Cayman was one of the best value propositions that Porsche has ever offered! The flat 6 motor is just utterly brilliant, and when put into such a capable body and chassis, it is just doomed to be good. The approx. 39000 NM/Deg of torsional rigidity of the Cayman is unrivaled, and easily surpasses even the 991 or any other car for that matter, which provides the Porsche engineers with a lot of freedom when making it into the best road holding car that sensible money can buy. The performance is of course not among the best of the sports cars of today, but easily enough for "you and me" motoring. And once you get a sense of the sports exhaust (an option), you really understand why so many today miss the 981. It even sounds better than the 991 gen 1 with a comparable sports exhaust, which might sound strange - but remember that the Cayman is a mid-engine car which allows for longer exhaust travel and therefore has its own unique sound track. Having previously owner a -92 964 C4 which I thought was loud, the Cayman 3.4 L motor is more (in all departments).. The other quality worth mentioning is the level of comfort you get. With the PASM dampers included, the Cayman is both lowered 10mm compared to the original spec, as well as gets an adaptive set-up. This (together with the torsional rigidity) allows for a set-up of "drive modes" where the chassis can be very comfortable or stiff depending on your driving needs. But the real treat is in the spread between the modes; it is considerably larger than what the competition can accommodate (Audi TTRS for example). You will be pleasantly surprised! I can only say that my 981 Cayman GTS is going to be with me for many years to come, and that it has been a joy from the first time I entered it. It has done approx 6000 miles without a single xxxx-up.

Awesome sales and service experience!
by Leonardo DaVinci from Englewood, CO
November 6, 2018
I recently purchased a Boxter S from the Porsche Colorado Springs, and needed some help installing the chip and software for Porsche Connect Plus. On Black Friday, late in the day, when the dealership learned that I needed the chip, they sent a sales representative to my home and talked me through the installation and configuration of the software. These folks are the most conscientious and courteous Porsche reps I've ever met! I can's say enough good things about these guys! The buying experience was fast, fun and painless, and the support is first class. I highly recommend buying from this dealership! It was definitely worth the drive.

I’d love an extra 30-40 hp but understand why it has what it has. The balance is perfect. The driving experience is sublime. In GTS trim the look is aggressive but very classy. Mine is all black with the black 20” wheels and it turns heads more than a Cayman has a right to! You will not regret any Cayman purchase - but the sound from the 14-16 sport exhaust is a dream.

Exilerating, Reliable, Gorgeous

My 2008 Porsche Cayman is hands down the best handling car I’ve ever driven. I usually beat challengers off the line, but I know this car is not the fastest off the line. I’ve hit 60 mph in about 5.5 seconds and run all out on the straight aways at 162 mph (top speed is reported at 171, but I’ve not achieved that my one time on the short track). The joy of this car is in the handling! Nothing comes close. Any muscle or exotic out there who relies on brute strength off the line is immediately put to shame in the first turn. On country backroads, this Cayman is King. And, true to Porsche’s reputation, this car is built for the driver. It’s simple interior is refined and sporty at the same time and it’s overall reliability is second to none.

This Porsche GT4 is my daily driver and it is equipped with the optional 918 Porsche racing bucket seats. Prior to purchasing this vehicle, I had a Cayman R with the same seats and I really liked them, so I decided to get them on this car. I have to say, that they are amazing. Most people who get in my car do not like getting in and out of them, but once they are sitting in them, they always comment on how good they feel. The ride is firm, but it does not beat you up. I have driven my car from the San Francisco Bay Area to Los Angeles and it is extremely fun to drive. The amount of technology that is bespoke to this vehicle is amazing; especially, when you consider that it costs less than $100k. Highly recommend this car.

Josh is an awesome sales manager, and Chad is a great salesman, both selling me four cars in the last couple of months. I could not be more pleased with their exceptional service and attention to detail. Have owned more than 30 cars in my lifetime, and may not ever purchase another car from anyone else for the next 40 years or so, while I am able to drive. True professionals that work with their customers to get the best deal possible every step of the way, and most importantly NOT PUSHY whatsoever, as most dealerships are. I look forward to buying many more cars from Southtown Hyundai in the future. Best Regards, Steve Eubanks

Fabulous

I moved up from a BMW 3 series to the Porsche Cayman which is a significant leap. Overall the handling and power are better and the build is solid. I have yet to have any real complaints about the vehicle. Perhaps you can ding Porsche for the cost of the options but the overall pricetag for a base Cayman considering the performance is very good. A significant percentage of the options are cosmetic in nature so its a path you don't necessarily need to go down. Comparing it with provided options on current 2018 vehicles the gadgets are on the low side but it balances out with the ride and performance which few other manufacturers can equal in a production vehicle. I prefer a simpler button interface with the instrument panel vs the touch screen complexity that seems to pervade todays cars. I find the touch screen menus distracting and difficult to modify while driving. I guess car manufacturers are reacting to the cell phone society we have become. Porsche has a good balance between digital and analog. Suspension is stiff like all sports cars so beware of your ride in a major northern city with pot holes. Good gas mileage for a sports car. You will be noticed. The engine sound and the incredible styling turn heads if you are into that. i'm looking forward to a long ownership of my Porsche that rivals the 14 years I had with my BMW 330ci.

I was referred to Anthony by my best friends mom. I was in a tough position with my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer. After speaking with Anthony he educated me by informing me that my Trailblazer was discontinued and finding parts for the vehicle would be difficult to find and more importantly it would be costly. He was correct however I love my truck and I don't want to change it but after looking at the overall cost it just makes since to utilize my approval and go pick up my vehicle... Thank you for educating me and being so patient with me.

This car is exceptional. For the price of a new Nissan 370z you could buy a 2007 Porsche Cayman S, and that's exactly what I did. This car drives like you are the car. It glides from corner to corner never missing a step, it encaptures you in its gentle embrace. There is not a car for the price as nimble as this one. The reliability is amazing. the comfort is very nice however you can't nap in it while you wait for someone, but lets be honest that doesn't matter. I love every second of this car.

I'm in the market for a new used car. I'm not really ready to buy yet just inquiring online. The next thing I know I receive a phone call from a Carlos with National Motors I explained to him that I wasn't plan on buying right away, And unlike other places he hasn't bombarded me with unwanted emails and phone calls. He has called me once a month these past two months to check where I'm at and when I'm ready to buy I'll walk in to meet the unconventional salesman. Thanks!

Most fun you can have in a car
by davemonfl from Sarasota, FL

The 2007 Cayman with the 2.7 flat six and 5 speed manual transmission is an absolute blast to drive! With the mid engine design it handles fantastic and is a joy to toss into corners. The 2.7 flat six sounds absolutely fabulous and really responds to being driven hard to keep the RPMs up around 4000 and above. While the car handles like it is on rails it is not jarringly stiff like some sports cars can be, nor is it obnoxiously loud. I did have to replace a few things, including the water pump and starter, but there is 100k miles on it. Another 60 HP and a 6 speed would be nice but even without those this is the most fun I've ever had with a car. Like they say about Porsche, there is no substitute!

Of all the Porsche models on the road, the base Cayman is the most visually striking to me. It's refined and classy. The interior is the same, made with high quality leather and materials. It definitely makes the most of its space. I love the flat six sound and the performance to this point (I've only owned it a couple weeks). For the base model, it absolutely flies and draws attention everywhere I go. My 66 year old mother even loves it. I'm a newfound enthusiast and join the thousands out there who love the Cayman more than the 911 or any other Porsche model. Mine has 116,000 on it and it runs like it's brand new.

I was helped by Reno, great guy know his stuff. He was also extremely patience with me and my bank. I literally spent the entire day at the dealership trying to figure something out and the guy did not show one bit of frustration. They sold me a car for a great price for its condition. I just want to say thank you for helping me during my purchase. Dude deserves a raise.

This car is excellent. Love the design and interior styling. It is super fast and fun to drive. I wish it had a spare tire compartment. But other than that it is great.

This is the way car buying should be! No pressure to buy no sales person chasing you down, ridiculously huge inventory all makes from Alfa Romeo 🚘😘, to Maseratti, from BMW to Nissan any car you can imagine they carry at a very decent price. My experience was out of this world, from tasting Cuban coffee to life's conversations.I'll definitely recommend this dealership. Alberta takes customer service and sales to a whole new level. I seriously recommend anyone buying a car to try them out. Ask for 💃🏾Alberta Arencibia and tell her Sam sent you😉

I've had a 928, 911T, Boxter, and now a Cayman; I've had more admirers of this car than any other. It is a pleasure to drive because I have tiptronic, and navigation, which makes driving in city traffic much more relaxing.

Porsche West Broward Review
The pleasure of car buying

I dropped by to see if I could purchase a 911 turbo - the salesman told me I was no longer available. He was extremely polite so we decided to see if my wife could find an SUV for herself. The salesman was very attentive and in no time turned up with the perfect car - the car was so correct we were astonished they had it. We were not ready to buy her car at the moment because we were looking for a 911 turbo for me. The salesman politely offered us a lease agreement and we went home to consider it. There was no pressure to purchase anything except he did ask us if we wanted to leave a deposit to hold the car and we said no. We returned the next day to see if a trade could be added to the deal and once again they were ready to accommodate us in any way. Then the salesman found out that the original 911 turbo we wanted had not been sold and he, at my request started to put together a deal on that car for us - once again we could not agree on the terms because now we were considering both cars. It may take a few more negotiations to accomplish this deal, but I believe it may happen. Whether or not we buy the cars is not what I want to emphasize here. What I want to emphasize is the calm, patient and professional way they conduct themselves at that dealership. This has made us return and try to close this deal several times. We do have two other deals from other dealerships that we can easily close for the 911 turbo, but not on the Cayenne and the turbo is our priority. However, the thing is that we want to buy these cars from then, because dealing with them has made us realize we can trust them. Which of you really can say that about a dealership today. I recommend that if you want to buy a car, you should consider buying it from them. Marcos, our salesman and all of the employees in the dealership appear to really want to help us until we are satisfied. Just one more note: I am not easy to deal with when I am doing business and it does not matter to them at all. They just want to make the deal work for me and make sure we are happy with it. I now believe that selling us a car is secondary to them than making sure we are satisfied customers.

I'm extremely thrilled with the Cayman. As a previous Porsche owner, I can honestly say that this car is the best of the 3 I've owned. Porsche's build quality and performance increases with each iteration and the 981 Cayman does not disappoint in ANY way
