Check engine light is always on

its a good car but when things break its expensive. The check engine light comes on for everything. The car runs well and is fast. The features are pretty good for the year. It has most all the feature the newer cars have.
I loved, loved, loved working with Alex. Out of 30+ dealerships in the KC area we visited (some of which were entirely unethical), he was the ONLY one without any dealer fees. And was among only 4-5 dealerships we liked. He spent so much time with us and answered MANY questions, even after I ended up purchasing my vehicle from another dealer (I wanted so badly to buy from him but it came down to me wanting a sunroof and the car he had for me didn't have that – and I almost still bought it from him anyway bc that's how much I preferred his shop!). He was not pushy, worked at our pace, never told us things to make us rush (like many others do), and keeps very detailed records on every car. Then, after I had a random thing happen to my new car, he helped me figure out the best repair shops in the area. I HIGHLY recommend Alex at Autobahn. He's so picky about the cars he puts on his lot and they are priced very fairly. I'm such a detailed person and he really impressed me.

I have had this 2006 9-3 for 11 years and has never once failed me. The turbo allows for performance yet i about get 30 MPG.
We just had a great purchasing experience at autobahn. Great selections of pre-owned European vehicles. Fair prices. Well maintained. What we liked the most is no pressure salesman. No hidden fees. If we ever in need for another car, this dealership will be the first place to consider
Absolutely love this car

First vehicle I’ve owned and have had no issues great gas mileage for the power you get great in the snow with decent all season tires and extremely comfortable seats
I have to say this was the most pleasant car buying experiences I've ever had. (And I'm over 50) Alex has a nice selection of German cars. I had my eye on a beautiful CLK convertible. It was visually perfect, but wanted to make sure it was mechanically sound. (I was recently burned on a trip to Chicago to buy a used 500SL) He encouraged me to take it to my mechanic to have it checked out...which it did. There were just a few very minor things that Alex fixed without issue. I've had the car for over a month now and have been stopped twice by strangers who think it's brand new. Would not hesitate to go back to Alex and Autobahn Motors in the future!
Safest Sedan I ever owned
by Joamici from Hamilton, NJ

This by far the safest sedan I owned and the most fun to drive, I can shift the Transmission like a stick in the winter with snow on the ground and have complete control of the car, very stable on the ground and the disk brakes all around stop the car very quickly, the metal on this car is very thick like Mercedes and Volvo, the only thing not too many mechanics like to work on the car , I learned and found the car easy to work on after reading through the technical manual , Parts are expensive but the prices been coming down in price in the past year
I cannot possibly give enough positive comments about Autobahn. I have worked with Alex for my last 3 car purchases, over almost 20 years. The cars at Autobahn are beautiful, reliable and have the good word of a very honest businessman behind them. He will help you find the right car for YOU. He does not push you into cars that are out of your price range or not what you came for. Their service is so helpful and accommodating!!! I have sent so many friends to Alex and we have all left happy and confident with our purchases. This is the best place to buy a car in KC. Thank you so much, Alex!!!

I've owned a 2003 9-3 convertible for 9 years now and I still look forward each time I take it for a drive. It has been as reliable as any car I've owned, and I do keep up with all maintenance and repairs as they come up. I've never had to repair the top though the fabric is wearing above the rear window. Mechanically it just runs and runs and runs. It now has just under 100,000 miles with no mechanical breakdowns (I've never called AAA for this car). I do most of the mechanical work and find Saabs easy to work on & parts prices reasonable. It's one shortcoming is scuttle shake; common on all convertibles that makes for a rough ride on bumpy roads (I live on a dirt road, so have to take it slowly). If you want a ragtop for well under $10G then I recommend you try out a Saab.
This is my third Saab, second 2001 and second 5 speed. Nowadays for the price you can not beat them. I paid 2k for a well taken care of 2001 with 102,000 miles on it last July. It is a 17 year old car and based on the condition it was in and the mileage, it was definitely babied. The hood needed to be repainted (some twit keyed it) but outside of that was in mighty fine shape. Very comfortable car to drive, decent mileage, 5 speed is fun, and a very peppy turbo charged 2.0 liter engine. Audio was terrible but replacing the speakers and the door speaker amp made a world of difference. I kept the standard head unit as I did not want to break up the integrated look of the interior with an aftermarket unit and I also added an aux plug to it. Car sounds very nice now. The drink holders are a little sad and not very practical but such is life. I have the four door fastback and there is tons of storage available for a car it's size. Key question - would I buy another? Heck yes, especially if it was a Viggen!
