Bought our 2013 Forester at Camel back in Phoenix along with an extended warranty. At about 50k miles we started having problems with 3rd gear falling out and a grind going into 4th gear. Camel back couldn't seem to find any problem. In fact the service manager told me to change my own trans. oil. So much for my 100k mile extended warranty at Camel back Subaru. After complaining to Subaru America, they suggested going to another dealer. We went to Flagstaff Subaru and they couldn't have been more helpful. Tyler, our service rep. hooked us up with a mechanic. After a short ride around the block, they diagnosed the problem, got the approval for the extended warranty repair, called me the same day and had not only the trans. repaired, but also a tune up and a scheduled service done all within a week ! Now that's what I call FANTASTIC service ! Tyler, you and your shop have restored my confidence in Subaru ! To anyone reading this, rest assured if you own a Subaru your service lies in good hands at Flagstaff Subaru. Obviously I highly recommend these people to everyone. Thanks Tyler, you rock ! H.G.L. This car is amazing and so much fun to drive. Too many features to name here. Can’t even pick a favorite. For a three row seater it handles like a sedan but has room room galore. The third row is so comfortable and has its own vents. Cup holders everywhere. This is a must drive. You will be blown away. Subaru has thought of everything

Noe Delarosa, is so AWESOME. I have recently went thru hail damage on our new 2014 crosstrex XV, 6/19/18. I had babied this car since Feb. with maintenance and our free car washes. But when I saw so much damage on our new car I cried. After calling car insurance to make a claim, I called Noe first thing for a New windshield. It was installed in hours... Yesterday 7/25/18, I went back in to see if something was wrong with the wipers. Monday, I had gone thru another mini storm on e-470, and the wiper blades screeched across the windshield. Noe was very patient with me and took care of the problem right away. I am so happy to have people I can take my car to... Colorado's weather is getting so volatile.

I have had many new vehicles over the years but none surpass my 2014 BRZ and now my 2018 Outback 3.6R. It is powerful, quiet, comfortable and, in black silica, truly good looking, especially for a crossover SUV. As before, when I purchased the BRZ ( what a monsterously fun vehicle!), everyone was cordial and non invasive when I came in to browse. My former Suoerstore go-to, Jason, had moved on to mange the Porsche dealership next door but he asked John Barrivecchio to help me find the right Outback. John was and is a fabulous agent: Cordial, open, completely honest and forthcoming and very knowledgeable and informative. He answered every question and often anticipated most of them before asked. I had done a good deal of research and knew that if I was buying, the 3.6R V6 was the only vehicle that would have the power needed to get out of potential accidents before they happened. I also found that the safety and warning features surpass all other auto makers anywhere near it's class. John confirmed this as did the financial individual who owned the same vehicle. One side note: during negotiations my wife came in with her WRX to ask if the damage to the clear coat was still under warranty. She was upset, and John went straight to the manager of that department and asked him to please deal with it. He did so instantly to the immense satisfaction of my spouse. As John put it, "If we can't help our own customers, who can we help?" Sure, it was a convenient thing to say, but I totally believe him and trust in the associates at the Subaru Superstore. in short, I recommend them without reservation.

The only reason I didn’t get this car was because it hasn’t been on the market long. I’ve had a past purchase of a new model jeep in the past and ran into all sorts of issues. So I did lease an Acadia. I can’t wait for the lease of my vehicle to be up though because by then it will have been on the market for longer and I will Definitely will get the ascent!

My experience from the time my wife and I drove on the lot was over the top great!!! Our salesman Bill East was kind and listened to what we had to say and answered our questions completely. His product knowledge was excellent. We did not purchase the 2016 Outback that day. We wanted to think it over for a few days. Bill was more that ok with that and did not pressure us one bit. I really mean that, NO pressure!!!! What?? :) A few days later I texted Bill and then called to put a down payment on the car. The actual purchase day was smooth as silk. They were prepared for our arrival not only with the paper work but the vehicle was ready and waiting in the Delivery Garage. That's right, they have a Delivery Garage. We ended up leaving the car for another 5 days for a few upgrades of our choosing. Again, everything was ready as promised. Since the purchase of the car we have been invited back to the dealership for informational classes on how to operate and use the multitude of functions that the cars offers. Question and answer time for us to help us maximize our Subaru experience. There was food and snack available during this visit. I have also had my first service which was a most excellent experience as well. I was made comfortable, offered coffee, water and some snacks while I waited. I thought, geeez, this is just too much fun. Who has fun at the dealership????? Right? Well, I do. My car was ready in an hour as promised. They washed the outside and not some cheesy wash either. It was clean and the tires conditioned as well. Cool. Then I got in and they had cleaned the inside as well. Whoot whoot. What a great way to start my day. I believe that the Subaru Superstore figured out how to do it right all the way around. I left that last day in a clean car and happy, advertising for Subaru. They intended it that way and it worked!!!!! Before I left I suggested that they do a "happy hour" (no alcohol) , so I could bring my friends.......... Side note: My first car was a 1976 Subaru. Let's just say I put it thought it's paces. I've heard rumor that is is still running around in Montana still!!!! (there have been sightings!!!) Now I am back in a 2016 Outback. The Subaru Ascent is a pleasant surprise, even though all of the reviews I read about it were positive. It's a very comfortable car, and to me drives more like a car than an SUV. I was a Honda owner previously (Pilot, Accord), and thought that I would end up with another Pilot, but the Ascent blew me away. Great features for the price, comfortable seating, and plenty of room in the back for the kids and dogs. The controls and technology are exactly what I wanted - comprehensive, yet easy to operate (and reach). Great design. Plenty of USB ports for the kids. Very happy with the decision to buy, and love this car so far. The only shortcoming so far is the acceleration (where you can feel that this is a turbo 4-cylinder), but the Ascent does get up to cruising speed relatively quickly - and the ride is so comfortable I have to remind myself to slow down because I'm going faster than it feels!

Best car ever except for mud

I currently own two Subaru models. A 2016 Forester and about 3 days now a brand new 2019 Ascent premium. The only problem that needs to addressed on both cars is muddy road conditions. These cars are mud collectors. The undercarriage needs to be smooth with added mud guards to protect the brakes. Alloy rims should not be so deep inside. The Forester will hold mud in the rims making them go out of balance. Mud will also get under the lower door seals. When it feezes opening the door damages the seals. And they are very expensive to replace. Mud collects under the rear bumper. Wheel wells also. The Ascent is not as bad but mud still gets under the door seals. For an off road capable car this should not be happening.

Powerful a few really poor issues

The car is powerful, handles really well. Having owned five Subarus, I expected nothing less. That said, after six months, several annoying trais have emerged, which I consider to be game changers:1) dumb auto locking doors drive me nuts. They have been set, to supposedly unlock all doors when driver's door is opened. Only half the time, rear doors remain locked. 2)The radio can not be turned off. Consequently, unless you just leave it on, and turn volume to zero, you are confronted with scresming radio, seconds after you start the car. 3) interlock on tranny is sorely screwed. If you accidentally take it out of park before starting, you are screwed for about five minutes, begging it to start. Just returning to park doesn't work. Gotta tirn off ignition (another joke), open and close doors, wait for it to actually go off, then try to restart. 4) oh screw it, suffice to say, electronics are half baked. THEN, there is a flap to hide the trailer hitch. If you ever take it off, good luck ever getting it safely re attached. Finally (I hope) the glove box is a joke. Think it might be a good car in a year or two.

I just purchased a new Subaru Forester XT from this dealership on Saturday 1/30. I had previously spoken to Darrell via phone and corresponded through email about the Subaru Outback. I test drove a Outback at a different dealership the night before, and what a difference! I won't speak ill of the other dealership as nothing was terribly wrong - but at Subaru of Plano they got everything right. From the moment my husband and I walked in we were taken care of. We were offered water or a soda from a couple of different people before we met up with Darrell. When the first salesmen we encountered learned we were there to meet with Darryl, he was not off put or suddenly disinterested - he was still kind and professional making sure we connected with Darrell. All prior discussions with Darrell had been about the outback, but when I decided I preferred the Forester and a particular one on the lot, Darrell quickly got the keys and let us test drive it. We weren't told what route we had to take, how quickly we had to get it back, it was just very smooth and relaxing. Darrell was very knowledgeable about the vehicle but more importantly he took the time to get to know us. He was very friendly and inquisitive and asked all the right questions to see why this car would be the best fit for us. When we decided we liked the XT touring package he didn't immediately try to start warning us about cost and payment, he just said -" let me see what I can do. I'll beat the interest rate you were quoted (and he did) and I'll help you get your payments where you want them (and he did)". The whole experience was quick and easy. We weren't expecting to purchase that day and we were in a hurry to pick up our children for a birthday party. The dealership didn't take any longer than necessary to get the sale done. The finance manager was very kind. We did opt to up the warranty to 80,000 miles since we keep our cars for about 10 years. Being the end of the month I expected to have the employees push that "sense of urgency" on us, but I never felt that. Everything about the dealership I would recommend, it was clean, "pet friendly" great inventory, and most importantly the genuine helpful staff.

While I have only owned the Asent since January I have been impressive. This replaces my 2002 Toyota 4-Runner. I compared to Highlander but one test drive in the Acent and I was impressed. Adaptive cruise control is amazing. The dealership kept selling out of the mid-level trim so bought the Touring model off the showroom floor. I have bad back and these seat are wonderful. Seat have both heat and a/c. Yes cooling front seat (I live in Florida). Has power when you need it. Gas mileage is in 20 mpg range and great is regular gas. I looked at Audi Q5 but was out of my price range and this Ascent has all the same bells and whistles for $10k less. All the folk that have Subarus say I will be very happy with reliability. Hope it will be good as my 4Runner was!!

I went to Landers McLarty DCJ to get my 2015 Grand Jeep Cherokee serviced. It was an early morning, so (while I waited) I took a low-threat walk around the lot....I'm not a fan of vulture-like salesmanship. I had been considering trading in my truck for a second Grand Cherokee, and had found one online that was supposedly on the lot. I couldn't physically locate it though, so I poked my head into the salesroom floor to ask about it. Even though it was 45 minutes before they opened, Joe Ashbury readily introduced me to Josh Craig. I gave Josh the VIN of the vehicle I was curious about, and he located it and postured himself to transport me to the location. I declined, and simply gave him the trade-in amount and terms I was looking for. I provided a contact number. I was pessimistic. I anticipated a call later on to the tune of "Boy do I have a deal for you" only to overshoot my terms by a ridiculous amount. Much to my surprise, I received a call from him that same day with terms that were better than I had requested. He and Joe had worked closely with the local banks and saved me thousands. I came in the next morning and we sealed the deal in less than an hour. Mr. Pickett in the Business/Finance office was a true professional, and gave me a great deal on GAP insurance that I would have thought was unaffordable. At Landers McLarty, synergy exists, and the employees work as one unit...it isn't a "this is the salesman's job" and "this is the finance personnel's job"...they communicate with each other along the way. It saved me from explaining my wants time and time again. I wish I would have purchased my 2015 Grand Cherokee from them....the experience I had when I procured it from one of the other "leading" Jeep dealerships in Norther Alabama was a far cry from how I was treated at LMDCJ. My only "complaint" is that I wished they could have coughed up the $286 to throw in one of those cargo security covers for the (I asked the guy back in parts how much one would cost....I didn't get his name, but he was really helpful too). It would be the difference between me giving the transaction a "10" versus a "9". That may be worth it to them though. Again...and excellent experience.

Purchased the Ascent Touring edition 2 weeks ago, after test driving the Audi Q7, VW Atlas, and Volvo XC 90 (and having had the latter 2 models as recent rental cars as well). We liked the Subaru just as much as the Audi and Volvo in spite it being a dramatically less expensive car. Visbility is better than its peers. The 7-seat layout with 2 second-row captain's chairs fits our family perfectly; usually there are 4 of us +/- a large dog, and then sometimes some soccer kids or friends join us as well. The interior on the Touring is very attractive, first and second-row seating are extremely comfortable (the 2nd row much plusher than the Atlas), and the center stack and instrumentation is intuitive and pleasant to use. The car is very feature-rich for the price. The moonroof is huge and beautiful. Sometimes I feel like my head is near the top of most cars, but the Ascent has a ton of headroom. Bluetooth integration is great, and both the Bluetooth and the seat memory are very well-designed for two-driver families. The 2.4L engine is way peppier than I would have expected; it's not quite as powerful as the 3.6L version of the Q7, but it is more-than-sufficient; much better than my old Toyota Sienna. It's fun to drive and it feels like a luxury car. I'm happy every time I get to drive it. And because Subaru is so reliable, we were able to buy a manufacturer's extension to the standard 3/36,000 warranty to take it up to 10 years/100,000 miles (excluding wear-and-tear items like breaks and rotating electrical) for only $3,700 more.

My wife and I recently purchased a 2008 Honda Pilot from Ganley Subaru. Lloyd Henry was our salesperson- and he did a simply OUTSTANDING job. We live about 1.5 hrs from Ganley, so traveling to the dealership was a commitment, and (considering our prior experience with OTHER dealerships) a gamble. Mr Henry really has changed our experience in whole new way. Lloyd answered all of our questions and really went above and beyond to help us out in checking the vehicle over, before we ever saw it in person! We had a detailed description, close up photos, details of any dings or scratches and a detailed CarFax. Lloyd even detailed a few of the repairs that he would recommend once the purchase was complete. Very straightforward and HONEST. No surprises at Ganley, with Lloyd at the wheel. Meanwhile the other staff people were also very courteous and very helpful. We didn;t encounter any pressure or 'tactics. No push to 'upgrade' to a different vehicle. All fees and costs were plainly explained before we sat down with financing, and Lloyd even gave us an estimate on our local tax (something that a lot of salespeople overlook and us customers forget!). After the sale- we had a few courtesy calls, to be sure the transaction and customer satisfaction is well. I never write reviews, but needed to step out here. All around, an amazing experience and re-adjusted our understanding of pre-owned care sales. Thanks so much, Mr Henry!

I have purchased 2 Subaru's from MidHudson over the passed 8 years. I drive about 30k miles per year. Because of this I am at the dealer very often for oil change service and repairs. Rob Bosch and his staff do a fantastic job. Like any complex machine, my car sometimes has problems and needs repair, they are always helpful and have gone to great lengths to help me and making it as painless as possible , even as far as contacting Subaru Corporate if a breakdown is unusual or out of the norm to help get me additional coverage or reduction in repair costs. The staff there is always friendly and go out of there way to make it the best experience possible.

Never owned a Subaru before. My husband looked up everything he could find about the car. He really liked what he read and heard about the new Ascent. We were in the market for 3 row seats and this met all our wants and needs as far as safety and roominess. And I love it, I might add. So far I think this vehicle is the perfect car for my family.

What a pleasure! If you are as OCD as me and do your homework in researching a vehicle and its pricing as well as dealer reviews and you are looking for a Subaru, this is the place to go. First off, I have owned and/or currently owned Nissans, Toyotas, Jeep, Plymouth/Dodges, Acura, Suzuki (don't ever do that!), Hyundai, and Ford/Mercury's. In fact, I owned a 1976 Subaru box car (orange) to which the head gasket blew within 4 months of ownership, so I was a bit queasy trusting Subaru again. More and more research including articles from Consumer Reports, Edmunds, Cars, etc., all pointed to, for me, the Outback and so far, knock on wood, I am pretty confident that the decision I made was right. As to Bill Kolb, Jr., I had the pleasure of dealing with Holman Cano; professional, friendly, no-nonsense approach to which most of our conversations were by telephone or e-mail. I spent a total of maybe 2 hours at the dealership in two days. 1 night to see if the vehicle was right for me and getting to the price and financing again, right for me; and the other time was to go over the vehicle in detail. A++++ to you guys. Hope to deal with you again when my wife is in need of a car.

Granted I have only owned this car for about week, but even still I LOVE this SUV. It drives incredibly, is really decent on gas, and tons of ROOM. The perfect stylish mom/family car.
