Excellent service, Reliable cars

I bought a Toyota SUV from these guys in 2012. I got the best price for the car that I was looking for in the 100 mile radius and the salesman was great throughout the whole process. Most importantly, the car still drives like a champ without any issues. When I'm in a market for a car again, I'll be going to Ideal Cars first before I go anywhere else.

Built like a tank! Near perfect car/truck! Gas mileage and HP could be a little better but for the 10+ years I've owned it I only have had to replace brakes, tires, O2 sensors, and oil! Awesome!

Great Emergency Service & teaming up my next Apt
by Victor Huntley from Fort Wayne , Indiana
November 5, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 2.3 (75 reviews)
Called on Friday March 11 @ 8am. Flat Tire. Only had the emergency tire kit ( No Spare ). Was instructed to bring car in and they would work me in. I arranged to have vehicle delivered to the facility @ 9:30. Chris Called to tell me that the car was @ the dealership and they would call me with the details. Received call about 10:30 that they could repair the tire and would call me when it was completed. Chris called after 1:pm and said the car was ready. I went to the dealership and the cashier said the cost was approx 65.00 dollars. I said that the cost quoted was $25.00 dollars for the tire. We reviewed the print out and noted that the scheduled service for an oil change ( 3 Days later was Monday the 14th ) was completed while the car tire was being repaired. Pleasantly surprised. Chris was called to re-do the paper work and the cost went down to $58.35. Everyone was very helpful@ the dealership.

Certainly the quirkiest Subaru I've owned so far

This is the 5th Subaru, and 28th vehicle I've owned over all. I've always been impressed with the Subaru's. Whether it be their AWD capabilities or design features. Never the best looking vehicles, but certainly the most capable and thought worthy designs.

Great customer service and salespeople
by Jake from Del Rio, TX
November 5, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.3 (38 reviews)
I just purchased a new 2016 Impreza from North Park Subaru. In many ways my purchase was very unorthodox. I made the request while traveling out of state in Colorado, and was had to go through the entire buying process through the phone and email. Nevertheless the salesman helping me, Dan, and the North Park Dealership made the process very easy. Perhaps the most amazing part of the transaction was the service I received upon the purchase of my car. My previous car had been deemed a total loss from hail, and I had just arrived at the San Antonio Airport from a flight, and had no transportation to reach the dealership to complete my purchase. Dan actually drove my car out to the airport to meet me and complete the deal. All I had to do was sign the documents and drive off in my new car! I can't thank Dan and the people at North Park Subaru enough. I mean, that's a pretty crazy story of customer service. Not to mention the good price they were able to get me on the Impreza. Highly recommend.

Ive owned a subaru baja for 13 years and am just now deciding to part with it. It has kept me safe through 3 accidents and countless other events such as snow storms and being stuck in the mud. Had I not lived in a city so prone to bump and scratches, you would not know that this thing is as old as it is. Requires good maintenance but if you take of it, it will take care of you.

Replaced Engine in Diesel Truck
by SZ from Eaton, CO
November 6, 2018

We unfortunately had to have the engine replaced in our '06 diesel truck. Rennstall got us in right away and looked at it immediately. They provided an estimate upfront which matched the final price. They did a big job in very little time. The truck is running great and was cleaner than when we dropped it off. I would highly recommend them for service to vehicles.

Exceptional Service - start to finish!
by TeddiB from DealerRater.com
November 5, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.9 (1795 reviews)
My experience purchasing a vehicle from Nate Wade Subaru was exceptional from start to finish! My initial contact was through an online inquiry and request for an ePrice - I was connected with Josh Kelly. Initially I was just testing the water as to my options to upgrade from my 2013 Subaru Legacy to a 2016 Legacy with EyeSight and other new safety features. I had my heart set on a specific color and was flexible with the options, to a point. A couple trips (225 miles each way) to Nate Wade Subaru to check out inventory and test drive a few cars - helped set me on the track to purchase. The only difficulty was when I decided on options I wanted and found that there were two cars on the lot appointed as I wanted - but neither in my preferred color. Josh searched other dealers and found there was actually one a short (40 minutes) away which was exactly what I wanted. It was a Saturday - a busy one at Nate Wade, Josh had several customers simultaneously and I never felt that I was anything but his top priority. He took the time to try to contact the other dealership to see if they would do a dealer trade for the car but the other dealership said they were shorthanded and didn't have time. This didn't stop Josh from trying other routes to see if the car was actually available and could be obtained for me. He said if it was he would drive there and get the car for me. Needless to say, the day ended without word from the other dealer so I went home. By the end of the day Sunday, I felt I'd adequately explored my options - between getting the car from the other dealer or selecting one on the lot which had the options but not the exterior/interior color I preferred. I was back on the road to Nate Wade Subaru on Monday morning. I met with Josh briefly to look over the printouts for the different cars, then went to look at the vehicles they had on the lot. Josh went to work to see if they could get the car from the other dealer. Ultimately this dealership agreed, but had changed the price on the car - so I declined. (Sorry to put you through all the Josh!) Instead I purchased the one at Nate Wade even if it wasn't the color I'd originally hoped to find. It is a lovely car (same exterior color as my 2013) and has some really awesome features! Once I'd finally made up my mind, Josh handed me over to Nick Poulos to finalize the paperwork. Nick is quite a character! It was a pleasure getting to know him a little while he walked me through the sea of paperwork. It truly felt like talking with an old friend in the short time in his office. He definitely added a nice personal touch to the process. Thanks so much Nick for the special care and everything! I really enjoyed driving home (3+ hours on the freeway). It was a stormy day and my new Legacy handled the slushy/snowy road with nimble road-hugging reliability that I expect, know and love! Subaru's are the best and Nate Wade Subaru and their staff are top notch! Thank you all!

This car is snazzy looking, a kick to drive and makes me feel thirty years younger. It's quite an ambitious vehicle, what with cup holders and a console in the back seat and all. It's an AWD five speed and a small truck bed great for hauling camping gear and coolers.

We bought a Jeep Liberty from Bill at Norm's and found the process simple, friendly and pretty much as easy as it gets. We had also opted for the warranty add-on fee, roughly 13 bucks a a month, and then drove away happy. 2 years later lightening struck and the engine blew on the Jeep. After little back an forth with the warranty company, the folks at Norm's , especially Billy and the service team, worked hard to get the repair done and left us with\ only a $100 deductible to pay compared to the thousands it would have otherwise cost. I would freely recommend Norm's to anyone in search of their next ride!

Bought a Subaru from these folks a few years ago (shopping again now). Vehicle died a couple days after (alternator, I believe). They went _way_ out of their way to help - paid bills, serviced car, and delivered it back to our home 30 miles away on Easter Sunday... refused (mailed) thank you gift - just all around quality people. No other (unexpected) issues over the next few years. Couple of the complaints here seem to reflect/expose the dealer's small size (mom/pop - literally perhaps) - but, that is also an advantage.

I'm dreading when this dies as the newest one was built in 2006. 174500 miles and all but 16 of those are mine. Good....broke far less then anything else I owned, and it was me that broke it. Carry just about anything. Also it has 5+MPH bumpers. Found out the hard way. Really easy to repair for the most part. Bad.....Only leg room for us tall folks is the drivers seat. The timing belt is expensive to replace. Cheap to buy but getting to it! Ouch. And once it's out, then might as well replace everything it drove, like the water pump. If one tire goes, gotta buy the other three. Still, it's been a faithful ride and it's built like a tank.

I heard that one of the salesmen at Ressler goes "above and beyond" for customers. So when I had a problem with a squeal coming from the defrost unit on my 2002 Highlander, I called Ressler and asked to be connected to Danny Anduza. He researched the issue with the Service staff, and reported back to me within 30 minutes with the likely repair, and a reasonable cost estimate. Although his department is Sales, I appreciate the quick responsiveness, with no strings attached. I keep my Toyota's for a good while, but when I DO plan to purchase a new vehicle, I can guarantee that I will be purchasing it from Danny!

I have owned my Baja since 2005 and have racked up 172,000. miles. It just keeps going and going! It's fun to drive and practical. I have a 2011 F150 and like it for towing and heavy hauling, but Iove the Baja for Sunday drives on back roads and getting around town. Just shut the doors or tailgate and you'll feel how solid this little car/truck has been built. This is my winter vehicle because when it comes to snow it just keeps on trucking.

Perfect for hauling 3 mountain bikes, hiking and rock climbing gear. Pros: Love funky and cultish outside styling and functionality. Seats four comfortably, awesome, fun, cool, head turner. Have 150 miles logged. Expect to double, low repair costs, low cost of ownership, AWD, simple and quality build. Cons: reliability not at Porsche or Honda level, non-turbo version way underpowered/ slow 0-60 and passing, wide turning radius.

2003 Subaru Baja Sport (Turbo)
by DJ from Fort Myers, FL

I have had a man crush on this vehicle for 5 years now. The problem was the cost. Used Bajas are still going for over 8k with 200k miles on them, but that just shows how great these vehicles are. I found one in Virginia with 200k miles for a little over 4 grand so I decided I would buy it. Rebuilt the entire engine, transmission, and even turbo'd this truck for under 6k. Vehicle had no issues when I bought it and the only issue it has now is that it causes me speeding tickets from a naturally lead foot problem, but overall this truck is phenomenal. Rides smooth. Even when I bought it used the only problem the truck had was the rust on the stock rotors, and the cruise control had disconnected. Overall if you are looking for a pickup truck with great gas milage, room for 4, and great performance than you have found it here. This truck lasts forever and repairs are cheap and quick.

My dream car
by Bajakat from Ohio
September 13, 2017

I've had my 2006 Subaru Baja for 12 years now. I loved the look of them before I bought one and I asked several people how did they like their Baja. I was able to get this one brand new and I've never regretted it for one day. It has been so reliable and taking me all over the country and all kinds of weather. i've never been able to take it off road so I can't speak to that. But as a grandma who hauls bicycles, kayaks and every kind of garden supply you can think of it's like this truck was designed for me. My son calls it a ca-truck, because he can't decide if it's a car or truck. I'm looking to put more aggressive tread tire and put a little bit a lift in the backend on it can't wait to get that done. People ask me about it all the time and I tell them is the best vehicle I've ever driven, it's been reliable for sure. I have had to do a few repairs like replace the head gasket's and the timing belt and it's going in for New struts tomorrow. But it is 12 years old and I love it!
