This newly-opened Subaru dealership is DEFINITELY the one to go to if you are looking to buy a Subaru. The staff has set out to change the paradigm of car buying/selling, and have done away with all of the superfluous nonsense that one normally has to deal with in order to finally come to an agreement on the terms. They bottom line it for you without the back and forth hassle of taking trips to the ???back office??? (that doesn???t exist) to speak with a manager (who actually went home 4 hours ago). They truly have changed the experience for their customers. Fair. Honest. REAL. Three words one NEVER commonly uses to describe a car salesman, or the dealership for which he/she works. But it's true. I leased my new 2019 Legacy from them, and they REALLY took care of me. I don't care where you live - this dealership is worth the trip. And once you experience what it's like to buy/lease a car with this professional, motivated, and innovative young staff, you will not likely want to shop anywhere else. They kept every promise they made, didn't try to sell me something I didn't want (or need), and answered every question I had. A special shout out to Michael Dymnicki for all that he did to help us, and for knowing us BY NAME whenever we stopped in to see if my car was on the lot yet. He was just so, so nice. Thanks, Mike! And another thank you to Nino Tiburzi (sorry if I spelled it wrong) for making the process so much less painful, and for keeping all of your promises to me. Thanks Nino! And finally, thank you Andrew Carlson! You made the final stretch of the process so much easier. Thank you for actually taking the time to look at the ???scratch-dings??? on my old Subaru, and for being honest about the fact that the ???ding plan??? wouldn???t work for me. Definitely go. Well, I had another chance to use this dealership and I must say, Grand Prix's motto "We will satisfy you" definitely applies here. Unfortunately, our new Subaru Legacy, which me and my mom love, was recalled with about 51,000-52,000 2016-2017 Legacy/Outback models due to a possible problem with the steering problem. Unfortunately, this meant that my car would have to go into the dealership for service in order to fix it. Thankfully, I found Subaru of North America very proactive in getting information about the recall out there to the customers and at least I knew that Grand Prix would help me, as I had previous experience there when I shopped for our Legacy 3.6R Limited and found it to be an excellent dealership. Thankfully, this carried over to the service department, where a friendly and helpful representative was able to get me an appointment two days after the recall went out at 7:30AM, get me a loaner car (ended up being a rental from Hertz paid by Subaru, as the dealer ran out of loaners), and also have my car towed to the dealership two days before, as Subaru advised owners not to drive it. When I arrived at the dealership, I was greeted by a gentleman named Kevin, who was helpful and pointed me in the right direction to my Service Advisor, Steve Shoum. I found him to be excellent and better than the Service Advisor who helped us at the luxury car dealership where we serviced our former luxury car, as we found Steve to be very friendly, knowledgeable about cars, and able to speak to the customer without making them feel stupid or being snarky, like at the dealership where we serviced our previous car. While I did have to wait a bit as Hertz in Hicksville did not open until 9:00AM and they needed to pick me up, as Grand Prix ran out of loaners due to the recall, things were still fine, as I found the service center to be very nice, as it looked upscale and delivered on being somewhat upscale, with many plush and comfortable chairs, large screen TVs, nice restrooms, free wifi, plenty of literature, and a very good selection of complimentary food and beverages, like bagels and all of the fixings, coffee, soft drinks, and fresh fruit. Throughout the process, I found all of the employees other than Steve who I have dealt with previously in the sales department, like Vinny Ortolani, the General Sales Manager who came by to say hi to all of the customers and chat, Emily, another Service Advisor, and all of the other employees to be very warm and efficient, which was fantastic! My car was at the service center for a week, as the part for the steering column was on back order and they wanted to inspect the car, but Steve continued to keep me updated throughout, which contrasts to our previous Service Advisor at the luxury car dealership, who left us in the dark and made it hard to call him, as we usually got his voicemail when we called the dealer. Also, he rarely called us with updates. Grand Prix also proved to be very accommodating, as Taylor, the representative in the Sales Department, was very helpful as she had my car wait in front of the Sales Department as I had to pick up my car a little after hours due to work. This was appreciated, as I feel like Grand Prix understands not everyone operates on their schedule. There was one minor hiccup in the experience, as the car was kind of dirty when we got it back, but it was resolved perfectly after we complained, as Dan Ross, the General Manager of the dealership, was understanding and wanted to make sure we we satisfied, as he offered us two vouchers to the Hicksville Car Wash, which was appreciated. Overall, I thought that Grand Prix's Service Department was excellent, as it put where we took our luxury car to shame thanks to their fantastic service and I would definitely recommend Grand Prix when I need to service my Legacy!

I like this vehicle except for the engine shutting off when stopped. it does have an override switch, but if I forget to set it the engine will automatically shut off. that's the only thing I don't like about this car.

This was the first enjoyable car buying experience I've had in a long time. There was no pressure, like wolves coming at you the moment you walked in the door. My salesman, Joe Lucci was relaxed and professional, really knew the product well, and listened well to my questions. Ted Hanlon the sales manager, came over to make sure I was being handled properly and that all my questions were being addressed. After all my questions were answered and I took another test drive, I decided to purchase the car. The car is great! A Subaru Forester. I'm on the road all the time. My gas bill, for the same amount of driving went down from $500 a month to $175 - $250. The gas saving is paying the monthly loan amount. You get free oil changes for a year which is great and the dealership has a special process for oil changes. You don't have to make an appointment. You just show up. So far my experience has been really good with Grand Prix. I don't see why it shouldn't continue. I've receive a call to make sure all is well and I appreciate that. I would highly recommend both Subaru and Grand Prix.

I have been a proud owner of a 2015 WRX that I purchased at this dealership on Columbus Day in 2014. I received a reminder call to have my inspection sticker renewed so I stopped in the 1st of this month. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by Matt who was a super friendly guy and didn't put on the face like the ones that say I don't want to be here because it's for a paycheck. I expressed my concern the last visit I came in where I was told I was supposed to get a car wash voucher and never received it. During the wait he came out with a friendly expression and said "HERE IT IS!" Now that's what I call service with a smile! Later on he told me my car was ready and I didn't owe him anything today and wished me a happy holidays. The experience I got from him was phenomenal! A few days passed & I received a follow up call from him 7:38pm on my visit. Unfortunately, I was still working or I would have enjoyed speaking with him on my experience there! I would recommend seeing him for a future service visit!

I came in having done my research, visited other dealerships and knew what I was looking for. When they didn't have my car in stock, salesman Mike Porcelli searched their certified pre-owned stock and found what I wanted. Although I intended only to buy new, it turned out to be a great suggestion; the Forester was loaded with more options at a lower price with about 4K miles on it. I examined & drove the car, checked the Car Fax and was satisfied. The negotiation, including a trade-in, went very smoothly and they ultimately gave me a good deal. Mike spent a lot of time explaining the car during the test drive and in the showroom. I got a good vibe from the entire dealership and enjoyed chatting with some of the staff. One thing to be aware of is on their standard sales agreement, they have a $795 Transportation & Dealer Prep Fee and a $299.50 Filing Fee pre-printed in the Price column, which makes it seem locked in. But if you read the fine print, these charges are negotiable and represent (in part) additional profit. They don't mislead you but they don't point it out either. Overall, it seemed like a good dealership with good people that have their act together.

I like the comfort and the visibility of this car. All who have ridden in it feel that it’s comfortable too. Love the eyesight package which gives warnings regarding blind spots and so forth. Find it very easy to parallel park. My only complaint is that the audio controls aren’t intuitive to use, at least for me.

Excellent build quality overall. 110kW on an AWD = pretty gutless, but that's okay so many cops around now anyway lol. Excellent driver visibility. Exterior style still looks good today. Interior layout is good but back seats a little cramped for adults. Good reliability so long as you do the basics like check fluid levels, change oil on time, change timing belt on time etc. If you don't do this kind of stuff then expect problems.

THE QUICK SUMMARY is . . . if you???re looking to buy a midsize car in the 25K to 32K price range, you can NOT do better than a Hyundai Sonata Limited. It is a ???full blown??? LUXURY car, with a truly affordable price tag. And, if you live in the NYC (area) you can NOT do better than, Mr. Philip Robinson @ Star Hyundai, Northern Blvd. Bayside, NY AND NOW . . . THE DETAILS: We purchased our third Hyundai Sonata (two for us, one for our daughter), a 2018 Sonata Limited, on Oct.23rd. 2018. Here???s our buying experience. The car (same as our 2015 Sonata was) is ???as close to perfect??? as a car can be. In three years of ownership of that 2015 model, we had ZERO out-of-pocket repair expenses, and only went into the shop for regular vehicle maintenance. Three cars into the Hyundai Sonata brand, I still believe that this particular car, THE Sonata Limited, is truly an ???affordable luxury car???. I say that because, after having done my homework (hours and hours of internet research homework), plus dealer visits, and test drives of (comparably) priced cars in it???s (category) price range ($25 - $32K), dollar-for-dollar, feature-for-feature, the Sonata Limited wins out (over the Toyota Camry, Subaru Legacy, Honda Accord, Nissan Ultima, Ford Fusion and Chevy Malibu. And . . . BTW - I test drove, and test priced (EVERY) one of those cars! EVERY ONE! My (very well researched) conclusion is . . . to get the ???full list??? of features/options that I have in my 2018 Sonata ???Limited??? . . . you would have to buy a $35K to $45K ???full size???, (moderately priced) car, or a $45K to $75K luxury (status) vehicle. Take my word for it, I did the homework for you ! Then too, there is the UNBEATABLE five year/60K mile warranty, that is ONLY offered by Hyundai and Kia. And . . only . . means ONLY! So, if you lease your vehicle for 36 to 42 months, you will pay ZERO dollars in (covered) repairs ??? for the ENTIRE term of your lease! ZERO! Lastly: About our dealer: We went back to Philip Robinson of Star Hyundai, Bayside, NY because he is truly a ???trustworthy??? sales person, and a ???heck-of-a-nice-guy???. For the third time now, he has made the whole (arduous and intimidating) process of new car buying, and lease return . . . seamless and painless! He even took care of ALL the details of registering the new vehicle and transitioning the insurance from our old Sonata to this new one! Once You Go Subaru, You Will Never Go Back.

The Subaru manufacturer produces top quality cars at common man prices. My used 2016 Forester 2.5i is a base trim model, however, it has what I really need in a car without the up charge. The engine is well sized for the the vehicle; it is paired with a CVT transmission. The combined effect is that with little pressure on the gas peddle, the car springs into action. (No more holding up the line when the light turns green.) Last weekend I took the car on a camping trip. Some of the roads of the campground were muddy and uneven with 2 inch stones. The high suspension and symmetric 4 wheel drive of the Forester handled the roads effortlessly. On the highway to and from the campground, the Forester was a smooth well handling ride, even over the winter torn roads. There is plenty of torque at highway speeds for highway acceleration. The cabin interior layout places the major controls at easy reach. The operation of the infotainment system is reasonably user friendly, and there are quick controls on the steering column. In summary, my Subaru Forester is is a well equipment, quality vehicle, especially considering it is the entry model. Based on Consumer Reports I expect a long and trouble free (reliable) service life. Good quality, reliable, reasonable price = valve, value, value.

Hello, Because of the conditions of our roads in Westchester I was looking for a car that could keep up with the latest "pot holes". When I asked around one place and name kept coming up on a consistent basis. Everyone said to go to Stamford Subaru. When I did go I was introduced to Robert Fuch, and boy was I glad I spoke to him. He did not pressure me or my family in any way, and his professionalism is top notch. He takes his time and tries to understand your needs and what you expect from the car. He is a wonderful person to know and to have dealt with. Yes his recommendation on which type of car for my family and me was 100% dead on. We have already taken one mini-vacation (3 days) in the car and it drove and handled the road like a dream, just like he said it would. I am looking forward to take a 2-week driving vacation in 8 weeks in the car. If you are looking for a car and asked me whom I would buy my next car from I would not hesitate to say STAMFORD SUBARU and see ROBERT FUCH! I have 2-pinched nerves in the center of my back so a car ride anywhere is a new degree of pain. I explained the type of ride my back needs, the type of family car we need and he suggested and explained to me what type of car I should try. I suggested another car and he told me why that car would not be a good choice, but said we would try both cars. The ride was several left and rights, and over some bumpy roads.... even 2 potholes, and you know what? NO PAIN! It was the first ride I took that did not require a painkiller when I got out. I was so comfortable in that car that I did not want to try the other car. Since I did not want to test-drive the other car he suggested to just sitting in the other car in the show room to feel the difference on my back. Needless to say he was 100% dead on and I am very happy with my new car.

Full disclosure: My girlfriend owns it, but I drive it a lot. I find the 2017 Forester to be a pretty decent small SUV. I find it comfortable and fairly well-designed. I'm not a huge fan of CVTs but find it has enough pep when I need it. The dash is fairly well-organized and all critical controls are knobs and buttons rather than buried in the touch screen like some cars. A few things could be slightly better organized but these are minor details. The Subaru infotainment system is pretty lacking and the touch screen is buggy sometimes. They're behind the curve on this. But overall it's a decent car even if I'd like it more with a 6 speed manual.

This is my second vehicle purchased from Vroom in the last 12 months, and I can't imagine ever buying a used car from a brick-and-mortar dealership again. Vroom offers a terrific selection of late model used vehicles. The pictures really make it easy to know what the car looks like. I purchased a 2015 BMW 5-series, and the Vroom price compared to a similar make/model/mileage vehicle from CarMax was $3,000+ cheaper. I selected my vehicle over a few weeks of looking at photos. I filled out a credit application online, and they immediately called me to finalize the app, discuss rates and payments, and to get my $500 deposit. I received a loan package via FedEx 2 days later, signed all the paperwork, and sent it back in the pre-paid FedEx envelope they provided. About 3 days later, I started getting emails to schedule delivery. The process only took 9 business days from the moment I made the deposit to the moment I got my vehicle. The vehicle was clean, just as described, and runs great. Now I just need to get a state inspection and add this to my insurance policy, and the tags will be mailed to me in a few weeks. Thankfully, Vroom gives me a 60-day temp tag so there is ample time to receive the plates. This is a great vehicle and we're so glad that we purchased one. We've had a couple of minor things go wrong that should not have such as the drivers side visor starting to squeak loudly. All said we are very happy with this car. On the down side there is now standard technology out there that is not available. Automatic wipers are missing and items like remote start and subaru's safety and security package are extra when Honda includes them both free. But my biggest issue is not the car it's that there is no convenient dealersl or service anywhere near me. The nearest service is 45 minutes away. The next car will have to be available locally.

I am a car enthusiast! I spend way too much on cars ??? but I work 24/7 and it???s my only hobby. This review will be a bit on the long side, simply because I have so much to say about my experience with Vroom. My wife gets frustrated with me because I talk so often about how amazed I am with Vroom in every aspect! I bought my first car in 1968. Back then I couldn???t afford much, but since about 1979 I???ve purchased some very cool cars. I even bought a brand new Rolls Royce back in 1985. I???ve owned: exactly 10 Mercedes, Jaguar, Ferrari, Audi R8, BMW, Range Rover and several others. So when it comes to dealing with car dealerships, I feel like I???ve become rather expert ??? AND a huge skeptic of car dealerships!!! When you buy a high-end car, you lose SOOO MUCH money, as soon as you drive it off the showroom floor. So the last time we purchased cars, we decided to purchase nearly-new cars with very low mileage on them. We bought an Audi R8 and a Mercedes SL63. And it turned out GREAT. No regrets. So now it was time to sell those cars and buy two more. I happened across Vroom.com in my Internet search, and found the perfect cars for both my wife and I at the same place ??? Vroom.com. The cars are nearly identical to the same cars we???ve been driving, but just newer. A 2014 Audi R8 and a 2014 SL63 ??? both with about 3,500 miles on them. Even the same colors as our previous cars. I got bids from several companies to sell our cars to. Vroom offered the highest amounts on both of our cars!! And it was FAR easier to sell to them than any other company. Unbelievably simple! And the prices for the newer 2014 cars was extremely fair. I flew out from South Orange County, California to Vroom to look at and drive both cars. Vroom picked me up at the airport and brought me back to the airport. I was extremely impressed with Vroom and their showroom. And without exception, every single person I???ve spoken with and dealt with at Vroom has been not only helpful and enthusiastic, but GENUINELY concerned about making me happy. Even after the sale they keep contacting me to see how I???m doing and to ask if there???s anything that I need. They got me great financing! Less than 3% interest rate. I had no clue that you could do that with a ???used??? car. No other buying or trade-in experience I???ve ever had comes even close to how great, simple and fast this was. Oh???and they shipped the cars from Texas to us at NO CHARGE, and picked up our two cars at the same time. And the nice young man who delivered the cars was fabulous. He was so very, very careful with our cars. And not only do they have their guarantee ??? I believe you have a week or so to drive the car, and if you don???t like it, they will take the car back. They even told me several times (even after I???d purchased the cars) that if for some reason we decided we did not want the cars, they would come pick them up and truck them back to Texas at NO COST to use. Unbelievable!! Well, my wife is now also so impressed that she no longer is frustrated with me for talking about Vroom so much, and telling all my friends. In fact, I???ve already asked Vroom to look for a car for my daughter. I now would not think of getting her car anywhere else than Vroom. I mentioned before that I???m a skeptic when it comes to car salesmen and dealerships. So if I was you reading this, the first thing I???d wonder is, ???Why is this guy writing this review? Are they paying him???..???? Well, I don???t know any of the people at Vroom. I spent so much time on this review simply because I believe that when people deserve credit, and they treat you so nicely, you should reciprocate and sing their praises. My name is Dr. Rod Kurthy. I was referred to Texas Direct Auto/Vroom by a good friend and I???m glad I decided to go with them for my car purchase! I initially got Billie as my car sales personnel, but she seemed to be very pushy and just aiming to make quick sale; which is something that made me very uncomfortable. After speaking with her for a while I advised I would give her a call back to speak with my financial advisor on proceeding further on this process with Vroom. When I called back I got a different agent that saw in the system that saw I was talking to Billie and advised me that she would give me a call back in 5 mins, well 30 mins passed and I called back upset because I did not hear back from her after she ran my credit and didn???t like the fact I wasn???t trying to put 2500 down. My credit score was excellent I had a 740, but I didn???t have enough credit history she said is the reason why she kept asking me to put so much money down on 23k 24k car. The last time I called upset after not hearing anything from her a gentleman by the name of Shannon Humbles answered and I advised him that I did not want to work with Billie anymore because she made me feel very uncomfortable and I felt like she didn???t personally care about helping me through the process of the purchase. Shannon is an ALLSTAR!! He went over and beyond the call of duty to help me make this purchase!!! 7 days later my vehicle sits in my parking garage and I love it! The process was so easy to purchase, I had to put 1500 which is the standard, instead of 2800 that???s Billie was demanding that I put down! Please go with Vroom! I saw a couple bad reviews and I know every process has its flaws, but I???m here to tell you, they work! They are a very good company and I look forward to making another purchase with them for my girlfriend???s Christmas gift! Thanks Shannon and Vroom!!!!

Excellent vision in all directions from the Forester. We like the no non-sense styling of the Touring 2.5i. Easy to get into and out of which matters if getting a few years on you. Very good gas mileage and handling with excellent performance. The AWD is certainly one of many key selling points. Fit and finish is excellent with very good reliability so far. We think it is a excellent SUV and would definitely purchase another Subaru SUV if needed.

I will say that I was a bit apprehensive after reading some negative reviews; but due to the volume that this dealer ships out, I can only assume that poor experiences are a small percentage of their business practice. I visited Vroom???s website in the evening and decided to purchase my wife a Cadillac SRX. Within minutes I received a call from a sales rep. Within an hour of that initial call, he collected my $500 ???hold fee??? that was later applied to my down payment. The following day, my sales rep called to inform me that financing was secured, even with blemished credit. (Required an additional $600 down payment which I had wire transferred). 3 days later, I received my contract via FedEx, completed it, and shipped it back. Once they received and reviewed, I was sent an email with an expected delivery date. From start to finish, the entire process took 10 days, and we received a used Cadillac SRX in EXCELLENT condition. The interior was spotless. The exterior needed a wash, but it was understandable because the car was shipped from Texas to Florida. I have already recommended this service to others, and will likely use them again. *Car does come with a 60 day temp tag, and I have not heard back from Vroom about acquiring my actual registration and plate. - However, I believe that I still have a couple of weeks left on the current tag.

Forester XT Touring or WRX on the down-low?

Wanting something all wheel drive naturally leads you to Subaru. If you're looking for something with some off road capabilities but also a steady commuter with some room to spare, the Forester is the sweet spot. The 2019 generation Foresters are great, but they lack the punch of the older turbo options. With the same 250+ HP, 258 lb-ft torque engine in the WRX, the 2.0 L turbo shaves off over 2 seconds from the 0-60 time of the standard 2.5i engine. And it's noticeable. It gets knocked for being paired to CVT but I find it to be smooth and has great throttle response in Sport mode. Off road and in snow it does really well and lives up to the hype. A lot of reviews don't consider the Forester to be that stylish on the exterior, but I think that's ultimately a matter of preference. I find the exterior to be simple but muscular with the XT having a meaner front end. Inside there are some good upgrades which finally make the Forester feel a bit more luxury including leather seats and accents, a quieter interior and a decent sound system. The Harmon/Kardon sound system still leaves a lot to be desired, however. It's very bass heavy without a lot of refinement. Overall the Forester XT with Touring trim offers some nice amenities with still staying true to the rugged nature Subaru is known for. Pros: fun to drive (3 driving modes, paddle shifters), great visibility, great off road capabilities, roomy back seat and trunk, giant sunroof Cons: lower gas mileage, premium fuel recommended, lack of interior refinement, weak infotainment system
