While I didn't buy a car from them (I live in PA, 365 miles away) I found their website extremely informative. I am researching Subarus and the amount of information Plant Subaru provides on its site is absolutely amazing. I learned a great deal that helped me decide which model I wanted (Forester). I wish I lived closer - I'd buy from them in a heartbeat! Based on their website alone I give them 5 stars! I can't imagine how good the actual visit must be.

My 2017 Impreza Sport has been flawless, The miles per gallon have been great, but 10% less than rates because I drive it aggressi. I love the new platform of a small SUV hatchback. There is so much space to carry loads of luggage.

My husband and I bought a home and needed a vehicle that was large enough for us, a German Shepherd and two cats to drive cross country. After looking at many different SUVS, we decided the Subaru Outback was perfect for our needs. We went to Planet Subaru in Hanover MA and we were pleasantly surprised by the warm greeting from one of their employees and two dogs which we thought was great. We were then introduced to our salesman Joe. He sat down with us and listened to our needs. We were not only looking for a safe, efficient and comforting vehicle, we wanted a fair price. I believe that a fair price is one that is not only good for us but for the dealership. Our salesman Joe showed us a Subaru Outback that was in the showroom which my husband and I were already drawn to. After looking over the vehicle, my husband went on a test drive with Joe. I decided to stay back and look at their huge amount of inventory. We wanted a certain color and features that were important to us. We wanted convenience features such as comfortable seats that were power adjustable, features that were ergonomically designed, a good stereo system, enough room for our long cross country trip with our pets and enough room that we didn't feel crammed. The Outback we decided on had everything we wanted in a new SUV. We wanted an outstanding AWD system as we were moving to the Northwest where weather and road conditions were different than Massachusetts. We were very pleased with our experience at Planet Subaru. Our salesman Joe and our finance manager Scott listened to our wants and needs and never were pushy. We were grateful for all of the effort Scott put in to get us a low interest rate and a preowned certification. We drove cross country and we were very pleased with the performance, comfort and safety features. We both are very satisfied with our experience at Planet Subaru. One of the biggest things that made us buy from them was their approach to a vehicle buying process. We never felt that anyone was pushy with us or made us feel like if we didn't buy the Outback that day, we weren't going to get the same deal. I hope this review will help others with their decision to purchase their next vehicle from a Planet Subaru.

First Subaru but not first AWD

I bought this yesterday Feb 1 2019 with 20,700 miles on it from the dealership at Southpointe Hendricks Subaru in Durham, NC. I think the dealership did not give a great deal. charged more than they should have. I got black Premium. The car seems higher than the sport model i tried in a different place which had everything on it. This one doesn't have the blind spot or auto braking before a collision and I think I should have had that. The car drives well but has a lot of body roll and some engine noise. Though outside noise is negligent. Brakes well and corners well as the turning radius is smaller than the legacy. It doesn't feel as planted as my BMW 2011 3 series with X Drive but that is a different category of car altogether. But for all the other cars in it's price range drives very well and looks stylish and classy in black as well as the AWD which even in if you have some snowy days in the winter is useful as well as in the rainy days in all the other seasons. I cannot say much of reliability as i have not owned it but one day. Hope it is. All in all, the affordability and the AWD and the safety that drew me to the first Japanese car I have bought. And no, not a BMW but drives well and I am satisfied.

Mario Lee was my salesman and the best one I ever dealt with. 👍🏽 He was very attentive, professional and friendly. I really appreciate how much he went above and beyond and how personable he was. He made me feel very comfortable and did not pressure me at all even when I initially went to look at the vehicle. While it was a week before I returned to take a final look before I purchased the vehicle, Mario was so responsive and quickly and effectively addressed any concerns or questions I had. I was so indecisive and kept contacting him to reiterate details. He was so patient and never came off persistent or annoyed. This is far my most positive experience compared to 7 other dealerships I delt with. When I purchased the vehicle Mario held his promise to ensure that the minor concerns were taken care of. When I returned to pick up my readily vehicle it was Mario???s day off and he went out of his way to meet me at the dealership I felt so bad for making him wait for me as I kept changing the time and by the time I got there we were unable to take a picture together I felt so horrible but this gentleman, Jose Garcia filled in for him and took care of us. He was great very outgoing and funny. Thank you Bourne???s for everything! I would so recommend Bourne???s Auto to my friends and family. Amy Pawloski was the person I initially had contact with she would immediately follow up with me. She reached out to me to let me know of the price dropping. David O was very thorough and took the time to make sure I understood the financial process.

Really good in snow...sucked at everything else

I honestly hated this car. The only time where I loved it was in the snow...because it just never got stuck. Like I could have snow up to my fenders and still mash the pedal from a dead stop and not slip once. Like it was kind of unbelievable in the winter. But with having standard awd it's kind of expected. But everything else...it's uncomfortable, the electronics tended to just stop working...regularly...like the radio would shut off at random, the back up camera would stop working whenever it felt like...radio presets would reset, the screen would stop working...just a headache sometimes. The check engine light would pop on every once in awhile seemingly for no apparent reason and then go off without warning. It got TERRIBLE GAS MILEAGE...like literally terrible... For a four banger I literally only averaged like 23 mpg....on a good day got 25...never higher than that...and I do ALL highway driving. I bought a f**king Challenger and that thing averages 30 mpg...and has DOUBLE the power. It's insane. And I don't understand it. And the car is ungodly slow and I HATE the CVT trans...it's literally the worst thing ever. I wanted a manual but I settled for the cvt because I didn't want to wait a week when I needed a car at the time. It is what it is. If you don't care about fuel economy, performance, working radios, electronics in general, and just something that you can get from point a to b with little to no issues then get a subie...But if you actually care about all that stuff then I'd stay very far away from this car. Maybe I'm being harsh, but I don't really car. Literally the MOST BORING car I've ever owned...and I used to own a 1998 Ford escort that broke every other week and that thing was still more fun than this... Just happy to be out of it. Someone else's problem now.

I can't praise the sales and finance team at this dealership enough. I knew what I wanted and what I was willing to pay before I set foot in any dealerships. At Subaru of Belmont I got sweet-talked and manipulated by a salesman who thought he could take me for a ride. I promptly left and never returned. By contrast, Ken Bettano, the Sales Manager at Subaru of Wakefield took me seriously from the moment he shook my hand. I told him what I wanted and didn't want and that I had compared prices through various online car marketplaces for the region. He asked some pointed questions, checked his inventory, and then made me a deal I couldn't refuse on a 2017 Crosstrek. No nonsense. No condescension. I took the vehicle for a test drive with my salesman, Nelson Molina, who was patient, polite and charming. Nelson handled the rest of the sale with great efficiency and good humor--and we definitely tried his patience by having him stay beyond the store's closing for which I am very sorry but most grateful! I went in at the end of the day on Sunday and had my new car by the next afternoon. If buying a car was this easy and painless I might not wait nearly 18 years before I do it again! I wholeheartedly recommend this dealership!

The car met all of my travelling needs. It's a great commuter and capable of some adventurous dirt paths. Getting ~30mpg for AWD all the time is great. Subaru's eyesight makes the driving experience assuring and the Apple CarPlay integrated in the head unit makes media consumption super easy.

My old car was my third minivan in 15 years. Now that my kids are older and leaving for college, I wanted something that could carry 6 or 7 passengers but was ... well... NOT a minivan. I did some research on late model used three-row SUVs, and found the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. (My favorite of my three vans was a 2005 Nissan Quest, so choosing Nissan was easy for me.) Before I started browsing for cars, I applied for credit through Carvana, and was approved. Next, I entered in all of the information about the van I was trading for the Pathfinder. (Beware -- the trade-in amount is only good for 7 days, and it can change wildly in that time!) I was pleased with the trade amount, and it was great that I could shop for my new car and see my down payment and monthly payment for every car I viewed! My specifications were pretty clear -- AWD, less than 10,000 miles, and never a rental car. I found my dream car a few days later, and started the purchase process. It was quite smooth and the directions were very clear about what documents need to be uploaded. When I went to click on "finalize purchase" (or something like that), a red flag popped up...my trade-in value expired WHILE I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF CHECKING OUT! I got on chat with Carvana staff right away, and they were able to return the trade in value to NEARLY what it was before the expiration. This is something that needs to be addressed by Carvana -- once a customer is to a certain point in the process, those numbers need to be frozen. So we set a delivery time, and the Carvana rep was pretty much on time considering he was traveling 70 miles or so from the Chicago office. Everything was smooth -- signed a couple more papers, took my Pathfinder for a spin, Eric inspected my trade, and I left within 30 minutes with my new car. I would also like to add that I drove directly to my mechanic, so he could inspect the car and make sure I wasn't buying something with hidden damage. Rebecca understands that buying a new car can be stressful and she is a great guide through the process. Rebecca also takes the time to make sure a person KNOWS the car they are buying in terms of making sure it is exactly what they want/what is good for them. I know this from personal experience having just traded a 2011 Honda CR-V for a 2017 Honda CR-V. The new car is bigger and "fancier" and Rebecca made sure I was comfortable with my choice and guided me through the technology!!!!! Rebecca: you are the best! Oh yes - and the Subaru is pretty fab also ;) I have never bought a new car in the US but have been well aware of the challenges and mythology surrounding said endeavor — all of which were quickly confirmed the instant I was pushed through the front doors of two Subaru dealerships - So a couple of weeks ago we broke free from the gravitational pull of the “Atlantic nebula”, took a wide birth around and away from the blackhole better known as the “Quirk-effect” and plotted a course to Planet Subaru. Planet Subaru - It is obvious to us that you value both your employees and customers. Everyone we met in the sales Debt, Dave in finance, the service desk and the customers by the coffee machine … where all simply smiling - chatty and relaxed, and from our perspective that is all that was required. Dale - Beth and I are so pleased with having met and worked Derek and Milo - intelligent, funny, patient, knowledgable and a great sense of asking the right question and the right time ……… and that was just Milo ! Both Derek and Milo are indeed assets to your company. My only complaint is the ridiculous long services intervals as 6000 miles is way too long to wait to drive up to Planet and absorb some more of your positive and relaxed energy. I will be up sooner than my scheduled service decrees - no doubt ! I am not sure what you raison d’être is but … “bloody well done" and keep at it ! Kindest regards and heartfelt thanks. Clay Subaru (and Val in particular) made my car buying experience as easy and enjoyable as I could have ever imagined it would be. I was greated immediately when I walked through the door and was helped every step of the way. Val knew the answers to every question I had and even the ones I didn't. He showed me the 3 Crosstreks I was interested in inside and out and gave me the 101 on Subaru ownership. Once I picked the one I was going to buy, Val made the remaining, sometimes boring parts of the car buying process very easy and pain free. I was in and out without issue and the car was ready in perfect condition right when they said it was supposed to be. Overall I was very happy with Val as a salesman, and Clay Subaru as a whole. It's fine. I like the heated seats. But not enough pickup and there's persistent issues with rattling noises in the car. My 1997 Honda was not this bad! It handles well in the snow. It's reliable so far. But I wish I hadn't bought it.

After a bad/weird experience at Cityside Subaru in Belmont--where we could not get actual numbers and they were blatantly condescending about our budget--the team at Clay helped us to easily secure a 2018 CrossTrek for our desired price. It was so easy, because one of their online sales associates, Allison Lejeune, was willing to send ACTUAL quotes with the numbers broken down and we negotiated over email before coming to the store and got a great deal ahead of time thanks to their sales manager Keith Miranda. This is KEY! No one seems to give real numbers and they wait for you to low ball, play, and go back and forth but still screw you over. When we arrived with the online deal, salesman Will Krasinki swiftly helped us to secure the deal that was already negotiated, so there were no games and no take-backs. The good times kept rolling on Sunday when we went in to sign all of the paperwork with Joseph Allain, who was incredibly knowledgeable and data-driven. He helped us to understand all of the variables and did not over-push add-ons, which is actually our style: we are more willing to sign up for extra programs etc if it is explained logically and not pushed. He hooked us up with the Luxcare for free. He worked swiftly but was very patient and elaborated clearly when we asked him to. We are so delighted to pick up our CrossTrek tomorrow, they beat Cityside and Ira and were pleasant and transparent along the way. We're excited to be in the Subaru family :) Thanks guys!

I want to take this opportunity to compliment and recognize two of the extraordinary members of the service team at Planet Subaru: Andy Ryan I have had a number of positive interactions with Andy over the last couple years and every time I come into the undealership he greets me by name and with a warm smile. He is such a pleasure to interact with and one of the many reasons I continue to service my vehicle at Planet. I have never met a more genuine team of service professionals in my life and Andy is a shining example of this. This morning’s visit to Planet was another example of Andy welcoming me to Planet regardless of whether he will be coordinating my vehicle’s service for the day. I really appreciate that and feel so valued for my business with Planet. He is a true gentleman! Allie Webb Allie welcomed me into the undealership this morning for my scheduled 60,000 mile service. She was, as she always is, very welcoming and friendly. I always feel like I am leaving my car in very capable hands. Allie takes the time to clearly explain the details of the service and makes sure I am fully aware of every important detail. Later this morning she contacted me to advise that my driver’s side front tire should be replaced due to a puncture on the sidewall that I was unaware of. She suggested that an alignment be completed as well with the replacement of the tire and also provided a clear service recommendation for fuel injection service. I was so impressed by how knowledgeable Allie was and how accommodating she was with the use of the Passport loaner vehicle. This is a review of my SELLING experience to Carvana. I listed my car on Craigslist and was approached by an outsider buyer named Jan. She introduced me to Carvana, which I never heard of before, and it's process. She was very helpful and walked me through the process. The first deciding factor for selling to them was that they offered me the best price (vs. CarMax, Auto Nation, Trur Car). Then I realized the process was super streamlined. All I had to do was upload my documents and, after approval, schedule an appointment for the pickup of my car. Carvana sent a truck to COME TO ME to pick up the car. The driver (Lauren?) was very courteous and pleasant to work with, too. The pickup process, which included a one-mile test drive, took no longer than 20-30 minutes. Immediately after loading my car to their truck, I was handed the check, which I immediately deposited without any issues. My selling experience from being contacted by buyer to getting the check took just 10 days! (Would've been even faster if I was more timely with uploading my docs.) I'd highly recommend Carvana for selling your cars!

With work we drive 40 to 50 miles a day, so we needed an all weather car with good mileage. The Subaru just goes where you point it in rain wind or snow. We average about 36mpg. For a light car it feels very planted and always in control. The brakes are awesome. It is exactly what we needed in a car. Small issues, depending on the road, it has a lot of road noise. At very slow speeds the transmission seems to hunt around for the best setting.

I am starting my new job that will be almost 50 miles away from home (so ~100miles per day) and I realized that I need a good car for work. Subaru is what i have been desiring for. I went to Quirk Subaru in Braintree first and I could tell that this dealership was not for me. You could notice if you wanted to continue the conversation with the people from the vibe instantly, and the sales men at Quirk were really pushy and hid a lot of facts from us. Therefore, my family decided to give Cityside a try. I immediately noticed how friendly and helpful the employees are at Cityside. I had a few emails back and forth with Rob before I decided to visit in person. Rob was busy helping other customers at that time, so Mike came help me with the test ride. I really like how the employees at Cityside didn't compete against each other. They try their best to work together to make sure the customers are comfortable and happy with the prices as a team! Mike and his manger, Glen, were so friendly and answered my questions honestly. They laid out all costs up front so that I could know exactly what the car would cost. In particular, they both were very accommodating and took the time to make sure i understood how the lowest price reported at consumer reports/true car were analyzed. The entire process was very agile and relaxing. Within a few hours of meeting with Mike and his manager, Glen, I was able to negotiate a great deal on the 2018 Forester premium with leather seat upgrade and I put a deposit down happily. My friend already said she would go to Cityside for her next car after I told her about my experience last night! :) I don't think I can find any better deal+wonderful buying experience anywhere else. While I didn't buy a car from them (I live in PA, 365 miles away) I found their website extremely informative. I am researching Subarus and the amount of information Plant Subaru provides on its site is absolutely amazing. I learned a great deal that helped me decide which model I wanted (Forester). I wish I lived closer - I'd buy from them in a heartbeat! Based on their website alone I give them 5 stars! I can't imagine how good the actual visit must be.

I first owned a 2013 impreza. I totaled it at 103,500 miles and bought a 2018 impreza with 7800 miles. You would think after 5 years Subaru would get their bluetooth connectivity issues fixed. But obviously not. I'm playing music in my car get out of my car with it still running, get back in my car put it in reverse and my phone randomly disconnects and will not reconnect until I restart the car. And heaven forbid you take your seat belt off a split second before you put it in park because it will beep like crazy even after it's in park! So stupid! I feel like my 2013 impreza was a little quicker as well. My 2013 had all the recall/lawsuit problems so hopefully the 2018 is better build quality . Other then those small problems it's been a great car and I like it.

Fabulous car, some downsides

To be honest, the car is great. It looks and feels great in and out. The seats are stylish and the dash is sleek and has a large touch screen (mines a Sport model). However, there are downsides. I love how cool the screen is, but not having buttons feels dangerous. I have to look down too much to hit the buttons since I can’t feel then like a regular radio/whatever. Secondly, whoever thought it was a good idea not to make he cup holders round is crazy. Half is curved, but then it’s straightens out to look like a short bullet shape. What this means is that no cup is secure and the drinks bounce around and when you learn about it it’s from spilling coffee all over in your brand new car cuz you went over train tracks. Third, the transmissions jerks sometimes when you let off the accelerator. When it downshifts you can feel the car since back as the transmission starts to stop the car when it should be saving energy by coasting. These I’m told are normal traits in the car. Lastly, the 28mpg city rating is false. I get 20 in the city driving like a grandpa. Apparently these things suck when the engine is could and my 2 miles commute sees the worst efficiency I can imagine for a brand new 4 cylinder with such a good rating. All in all though, I like it and it’s a sexy car.

I can't praise the sales and finance team at this dealership enough. I knew what I wanted and what I was willing to pay before I set foot in any dealerships. At Subaru of Belmont I got sweet-talked and manipulated by a salesman who thought he could take me for a ride. I promptly left and never returned. By contrast, Ken Bettano, the Sales Manager at Subaru of Wakefield took me seriously from the moment he shook my hand. I told him what I wanted and didn't want and that I had compared prices through various online car marketplaces for the region. He asked some pointed questions, checked his inventory, and then made me a deal I couldn't refuse on a 2017 Crosstrek. No nonsense. No condescension. I took the vehicle for a test drive with my salesman, Nelson Molina, who was patient, polite and charming. Nelson handled the rest of the sale with great efficiency and good humor--and we definitely tried his patience by having him stay beyond the store's closing for which I am very sorry but most grateful! I went in at the end of the day on Sunday and had my new car by the next afternoon. If buying a car was this easy and painless I might not wait nearly 18 years before I do it again! I wholeheartedly recommend this dealership!

My husband and I bought a home and needed a vehicle that was large enough for us, a German Shepherd and two cats to drive cross country. After looking at many different SUVS, we decided the Subaru Outback was perfect for our needs. We went to Planet Subaru in Hanover MA and we were pleasantly surprised by the warm greeting from one of their employees and two dogs which we thought was great. We were then introduced to our salesman Joe. He sat down with us and listened to our needs. We were not only looking for a safe, efficient and comforting vehicle, we wanted a fair price. I believe that a fair price is one that is not only good for us but for the dealership. Our salesman Joe showed us a Subaru Outback that was in the showroom which my husband and I were already drawn to. After looking over the vehicle, my husband went on a test drive with Joe. I decided to stay back and look at their huge amount of inventory. We wanted a certain color and features that were important to us. We wanted convenience features such as comfortable seats that were power adjustable, features that were ergonomically designed, a good stereo system, enough room for our long cross country trip with our pets and enough room that we didn't feel crammed. The Outback we decided on had everything we wanted in a new SUV. We wanted an outstanding AWD system as we were moving to the Northwest where weather and road conditions were different than Massachusetts. We were very pleased with our experience at Planet Subaru. Our salesman Joe and our finance manager Scott listened to our wants and needs and never were pushy. We were grateful for all of the effort Scott put in to get us a low interest rate and a preowned certification. We drove cross country and we were very pleased with the performance, comfort and safety features. We both are very satisfied with our experience at Planet Subaru. One of the biggest things that made us buy from them was their approach to a vehicle buying process. We never felt that anyone was pushy with us or made us feel like if we didn't buy the Outback that day, we weren't going to get the same deal. I hope this review will help others with their decision to purchase their next vehicle from a Planet Subaru.

Steve was absolutely fabulous in helping me buy a pre-owned 2012 Prius. He was friendly, instructive, and a pro in car sales. This car is an AWD car like all Subaru's and it also had phenomenal gas mileage. Recently went on its first long road trip and it got an average of 39 miles to the gallon. I have had other cars of it type and none of them feel as sturdy as this one. The only issue that I have with this car is sometimes the backup camera can have issues, but this is supposed to be fixed in an update.
