Bella is a person all her own. Friendly and does everything she can to get the"deal"done. I would recommend AutoStar of Canton to anyone who is in the market for a vehicle, whether it be a new or used one. But just like all dealerships, take a lunch, as it can be a long process! But I didn't have to worry about that either, lunch was Bojangles and sweet tea, not saying everyone will get a free meal, but I did and had a good time getting to know my NEW vehicle in the parking lot going round and round trying to remember how to drive a manual shift!!!! What a HOOT!!!!! 😁 What I wrote in the beginning of this transaction was true, but I can see why now they want you to do it right away. After all of this back and forth with the calls to my husband in South Dakota, and being assured I could leave with the car as I had planned, WELL it didn't happen that way. They not only lied on the sales papers as to where my husband lived, but they ended up taking the car back because they didn't do their job like it should have been done. I regret ever meeting these people. If I could, I would get them fired.

A/C quit working on way to Hendersonville/Asheville for a week in mountains. Doropped car for service and fortuantely had 2nd vehicle available for us. No appointment so would have to be worked in with other cars. Mark in Service Dept. handled in very professional manner, explaining possible non coverages in private warranty we had on car. Next morning Mark called me and advised our private warranty was not used because the particular part that broke was covered by and extended warranty from Honda. Very happy with how Apple Tree handled the entire process.

We looked for about 6 weeks and spent hours at 7 different area dealerships. We were wanting to upgrade from the Kia Soul we had to something that would seat an extra person comfortably and had AWD and most importantly, something that would fit within our budget. We were very specific and upfront as to what we could afford. We had "fair" credit (634) and a fixed monthly budget. We went to Hyundai of Asheville because we had purchased most recently there. Horrible experience! Lots of young, wet-behind-the-ear staff. We were told in a very condescending manner that we had "unrealistic expectations" and that was after we were pressured into staying past the time we told them we couldn't do what they offered. We went to Kia and had a great experience with Ben Brendle, but weren't able to get an APR we were comfortable with financing. Brandon Braswell said he'd keep working on it. A couple weeks went by and we received a phone call saying that they had something for us. We returned to Paramount Kia and met Jodi Biltoten. We arrived about 6:00pm after my husband got off work. Jodi showed us an AWD 2015 Sorento with less than 25,000 miles and certified pre-owned. We test drove it and it was exactly we had been looking for - complete with optional third row seating for extra passengers. Jodi was very knowledgable and extremely helpful and SUPER nice. Brandon Braswell was able to take our Kia Soul in trade and worked with banks to get us an APR that was 2.0% less than what we'd been offered at the other dealerships! Jordan Ogle was very thorough with explaining our paperwork and answered all questions. We have been thrilled with our deal and new-to-us SUV. Thanks again for all your hard work, Jodi, Brandon, and Jordan. Especially since we were there until 11:00pm...3 hours after closing! Paramount Kia has the same great customer service and professionalism that they claim to have in their advertising.

This car is an AWD car like all Subaru's and it also had phenomenal gas mileage. Recently went on its first long road trip and it got an average of 39 miles to the gallon. I have had other cars of it type and none of them feel as sturdy as this one. The only issue that I have with this car is sometimes the backup camera can have issues, but this is supposed to be fixed in an update.

I had an alternator problem and didn't make it to Asheville before breaking down on I-40. The service department called a wrecker for me and in 45minutes I was at the dealership. They confirmed the diagnosis, ordered the part for tomorrow, and gave me a loaner car to get home. We looked for a smaller SUV, and the Subaru was a pleasant surprise. Aside from the fact that it comes with known Subaru reliability, it's fun to drive. The standard equipment is almost TOO much!! The safety features are incredible ( especially vs most American vehicles ). I would definitely recommend this vehicle to others!?

Late last evening we drove home in our new 2016 Nissan Rogue SL with cayenne color. We compared the Rogue to a few other cars in the same class including the Mazda CX-5. Although we liked the look of the CX-3 and CX-5 more than the Rogue, there was an immediate recognition that the driveability of the Rogue was quite superior. Mark Filleman was our salesperson and we sure resonated with his low key information delivering and his honest approach. Mark, the manager, was good to deal with, too, and really didn't give us the good cop bad cop schtick. The business manager Zaine was efficient and quick with a nice personna to back it up. The car met all of my travelling needs. It's a great commuter and capable of some adventurous dirt paths. Getting ~30mpg for AWD all the time is great. Subaru's eyesight makes the driving experience assuring and the Apple CarPlay integrated in the head unit makes media consumption super easy.

I went to 3 dealers here in Asheville; Honda, Ford and Prestige Subaru looking for a vehicle with the best gas mileage and the most cargo space. The extra perk is it's also got AWD! And that's my new 2017 Impreza 5-door. I contacted Subaru through their internet service first and connected with Jason Wicks. It's good but not great

I first owned a 2013 impreza. I totaled it at 103,500 miles and bought a 2018 impreza with 7800 miles. You would think after 5 years Subaru would get their bluetooth connectivity issues fixed. But obviously not. I'm playing music in my car get out of my car with it still running, get back in my car put it in reverse and my phone randomly disconnects and will not reconnect until I restart the car. And heaven forbid you take your seat belt off a split second before you put it in park because it will beep like crazy even after it's in park! So stupid! I feel like my 2013 impreza was a little quicker as well. My 2013 had all the recall/lawsuit problems so hopefully the 2018 is better build quality . Other then those small problems it's been a great car and I like it.

Fabulous car, some downsides

To be honest, the car is great. It looks and feels great in and out. The seats are stylish and the dash is sleek and has a large touch screen (mines a Sport model). However, there are downsides. I love how cool the screen is, but not having buttons feels dangerous. I have to look down too much to hit the buttons since I can’t feel then like a regular radio/whatever. Secondly, whoever thought it was a good idea not to make he cup holders round is crazy. Half is curved, but then it’s straightens out to look like a short bullet shape. What this means is that no cup is secure and the drinks bounce around and when you learn about it it’s from spilling coffee all over in your brand new car cuz you went over train tracks. Third, the transmissions jerks sometimes when you let off the accelerator. When it downshifts you can feel the car since back as the transmission starts to stop the car when it should be saving energy by coasting. These I’m told are normal traits in the car. Lastly, the 28mpg city rating is false. I get 20 in the city driving like a grandpa. Apparently these things suck when the engine is could and my 2 miles commute sees the worst efficiency I can imagine for a brand new 4 cylinder with such a good rating. All in all though, I like it and it’s a sexy car.

I got an absolute steal on a low mileage lifted Tacoma that's the envy of all who behold its magnificence. I couldn't be more proud of my truck, or more pleased with Sam & Dave's. I contacted Sam & Dave's through their website and got a response from Jonathan within hours. I called him and told him which of his trucks caught my eye, expressing that it was near but not quite within my budget. He was direct and no-nonsense in responding with the lowest price he could offer, with no sales pressure whatsoever. I struggled over the next week to find a better deal on the same truck anywhere from Southwest Virginia to South Florida, both from auto dealers and from private owners. I couldn't. My credit union loan agent was even impressed with the price. Jonathan continued to honor the price he quoted me with steadfast honesty. There were no doc fees or any other unpleasant surprises: the price he quoted was the exact dollar amount of the check he accepted (not including tax and tags of course, which I'll handle at the county clerk's office back here in TN). He even agreed without debate to fill up the gas tank, give it a wash, and replace a missing tire valve stem cap while we completed the sale. A few people have given Sam & Dave's unfavorable reviews. Most seem to come from customers expecting the reliability of a new Honda from cars of unreasonable age or mileage. Caveat emptor, people. If your budget is less than 10 grand, you're going to end up with someone else's problems. On the other hand, if you limit your choices to vehicles with low mileage, I think you'll be pleased with Sam and Dave's.

Fun to drive hatchback, winter-loving AWD

I have been very happy with this car over the past year and 10,000 miles. It is surprisingly fun to drive...even more so in the winter with tires one can trust in ice and snow (OEM tires wouldn't stop the car on wintry road and I replaced them). Great city car and good interstate road trip car too, sometimes getting high 30s mpg at 70 mph. Engine always willing. Handling is great. I can load my bike in back without its front wheel, seats down, or a mower with the handle folded down. Infotainment center is bland, but I have a newer Honda where I find the same to be aggravating. The Impreza is quite low to the ground, so I need to consider that around snow berms and rutted roads; the Crosstrek is the answer to that, if you drive in rural and rougher roads. It is always a treat to get in the driver's seat and go for a spin.

First Subaru but not first AWD

I bought this yesterday Feb 1 2019 with 20,700 miles on it from the dealership at Southpointe Hendricks Subaru in Durham, NC. I think the dealership did not give a great deal. charged more than they should have. I got black Premium. The car seems higher than the sport model i tried in a different place which had everything on it. This one doesn't have the blind spot or auto braking before a collision and I think I should have had that. The car drives well but has a lot of body roll and some engine noise. Though outside noise is negligent. Brakes well and corners well as the turning radius is smaller than the legacy. It doesn't feel as planted as my BMW 2011 3 series with X Drive but that is a different category of car altogether. But for all the other cars in it's price range drives very well and looks stylish and classy in black as well as the AWD which even in if you have some snowy days in the winter is useful as well as in the rainy days in all the other seasons. I cannot say much of reliability as i have not owned it but one day. Hope it is. All in all, the affordability and the AWD and the safety that drew me to the first Japanese car I have bought. And no, not a BMW but drives well and I am satisfied.

Really good in snow...sucked at everything else

I honestly hated this car. The only time where I loved it was in the snow...because it just never got stuck. Like I could have snow up to my fenders and still mash the pedal from a dead stop and not slip once. Like it was kind of unbelievable in the winter. But with having standard awd it's kind of expected. But everything else...it's uncomfortable, the electronics tended to just stop working...regularly...like the radio would shut off at random, the back up camera would stop working whenever it felt like...radio presets would reset, the screen would stop working...just a headache sometimes. The check engine light would pop on every once in awhile seemingly for no apparent reason and then go off without warning. It got TERRIBLE GAS MILEAGE...like literally terrible... For a four banger I literally only averaged like 23 mpg....on a good day got 25...never higher than that...and I do ALL highway driving. I bought a f**king Challenger and that thing averages 30 mpg...and has DOUBLE the power. It's insane. And I don't understand it. And the car is ungodly slow and I HATE the CVT trans...it's literally the worst thing ever. I wanted a manual but I settled for the cvt because I didn't want to wait a week when I needed a car at the time. It is what it is. If you don't care about fuel economy, performance, working radios, electronics in general, and just something that you can get from point a to b with little to no issues then get a subie...But if you actually care about all that stuff then I'd stay very far away from this car. Maybe I'm being harsh, but I don't really car. Literally the MOST BORING car I've ever owned...and I used to own a 1998 Ford escort that broke every other week and that thing was still more fun than this... Just happy to be out of it. Someone else's problem now.

Well, we're back! As some may have read, we recently bought a nifty 2008 Outback from these folks, and as I was learning about the car, something seemed odd: the "airbag" warning light on the dash would light-up intermittently. Because we're new to Subies, I wasn't sure quite how to interpret the user manual, but one way could mean a serious safety problem. So, I called Skye Autohaus asking them if they knew what might be happening. The representative I spoke with invited me to bring the car back for a look-see. About a day later, the representative who sold us the car (who had also been a Subaru service manager in years past) called me saying that I was right to be concerned, and that he had a good idea of what the problem could be and urged me to bring the car in and they would swap-out a certain part that was known to cause this issue. I brought the car unannounced, and moments later a technician was cheerfully replacing the questionable part. It was done so quickly that I didn't even have a chance to open the cold drink I was offered as soon as I got there! Then he and our sales rep answered some other questions I had about how to best take care of the car... ...I don't mean to sound "gushy" about all this, but really, I didn't expect to be treated like family in the purchase process, and we were. And when I came back for help, it was like I was part of the family...and it was genuine. It's *so nice* to have "big dealer" competence combined with small dealer friendliness. I'm *overjoyed* we bought our "new" car here!

My initial experience with this dealer was I had seen a car listed on the web and thought I would call with some questions. I spoke to Travis on the call and I was amazed at his level of detail on the car as well as he taking the time with me to understand my wants and needs. Original equipment tires wore out at 20,000 miles. Replacement Uniroyal Tiger Paws went 42000 more miles. Was unable to meet factory specs for wheel alignment. Despite that replacement set of tires wore evenly. If you purchase a new Subaru require that dealership align and show you results are at factory specs before taking delivery. The radio controls are difficult to use. touch screen is insensitive in cold weather. Radio knobs taper away from you so are difficult to grasp. Overall electronics are way overly complicated. Handling is very good. I like the CVT trans. It matches the power curve of the engine. Very secure car at highway speeds. Great traction in wet/snow. Zero mechanical problems. My husband and I had researched in depth the 2016 Ford Edge. We had decided to visit two or three dealerships that had cars that fit our requirements. One was Taylor Ford. In summary the buying experience was a pleasure. We first met Mr. Gordon Prince, the sales manager. He greeted us with a smile and relaxed disposition. I had called him earlier and told him that we wanted a knowledgeable salesman. Upon arriving he introduced us to Mr. Sean Cash. Mr. Cash showed us the car we were interested in purchasing. He answered a myriad of questions. You intuitively felt his sincerity. Mr. Cash and Mr. Prince worked hard to put together the purchase of a car that met our needs and at a very competitive price. They went the extra mile. When we picked up the car Mr. Cash spent a great deal of time reviewing the technical features which can be overwhelming. He was kind, patient, and presented the information in a simple and understandable manner. This was greatly appreciated. We have bought many cars over our lifetime. Taylor Ford was one of the best experiences. You felt like you were dealing with friends. The customer service was outstanding. Mr. Cash encouraged us several times to call him with any questions. We will certainly recommend Mr. Prince and Mr. Cash to our friends and family. We have been married 51 years and are both retired professionals.

This car was more than I expected. Excellent Car, style, performance, gas mileage, just an all around comfort car. Beautiful looking car, I wanted a ALL Wheel Drive Vehicle and the Subrau is the choice for me.
