Fabulous car, some downsides

To be honest, the car is great. It looks and feels great in and out. The seats are stylish and the dash is sleek and has a large touch screen (mines a Sport model). However, there are downsides. I love how cool the screen is, but not having buttons feels dangerous. I have to look down too much to hit the buttons since I can’t feel then like a regular radio/whatever. Secondly, whoever thought it was a good idea not to make he cup holders round is crazy. Half is curved, but then it’s straightens out to look like a short bullet shape. What this means is that no cup is secure and the drinks bounce around and when you learn about it it’s from spilling coffee all over in your brand new car cuz you went over train tracks. Third, the transmissions jerks sometimes when you let off the accelerator. When it downshifts you can feel the car since back as the transmission starts to stop the car when it should be saving energy by coasting. These I’m told are normal traits in the car. Lastly, the 28mpg city rating is false. I get 20 in the city driving like a grandpa. Apparently these things suck when the engine is could and my 2 miles commute sees the worst efficiency I can imagine for a brand new 4 cylinder with such a good rating. All in all though, I like it and it’s a sexy car.

Ok. So in short, this is a long story. My husband and were frantic in finding a 4 wheel drive "bigger vehicle" we came from california and were not used to driving in utah snow. We found a toyota 4 runner at asay auto and decided to check it out. It looked good and made a deal with the salesman at the time to fix the dog chewed seat belts and latch for the glove box so it would be safe to drive the car. We traded our little california vintage Mercedes in for a discount which was great, no hassel in trying to sell it and bought the 4 runner. Well, i called in a week later for the parts, seatbelts and latch, and the salesman said its hard to find and i said ok no worries ill check back with you in a month, everymonth and for 8 months parts still didnt come in. I call just this last month and they said my salesman no longer works at asay auto but we will get everything takin care of for you. Not even a week later. The parts were in. I was going to put a more negative review. But i felt truly blessed in the way the new management handled my situation. Not only did they take care of the latch and find the matching seatbelts in rapid speeds. They gave me two great cars( gmc and kia) to try out for the day. I personally liked the kia. I am so grateful for Chris and his efficiency. Thank you we are so happy with our purchase and asay auto.

I have been very happy with this car over the past year and 10,000 miles. It is surprisingly fun to drive...even more so in the winter with tires one can trust in ice and snow (OEM tires wouldn't stop the car on wintry road and I replaced them). Great city car and good interstate road trip car too, sometimes getting high 30s mpg at 70 mph. Engine always willing. Handling is great. I can load my bike in back without its front wheel, seats down, or a mower with the handle folded down. Infotainment center is bland, but I have a newer Honda where I find the same to be aggravating. The Impreza is quite low to the ground, so I need to consider that around snow berms and rutted roads; the Crosstrek is the answer to that, if you drive in rural and rougher roads. It is always a treat to get in the driver's seat and go for a spin.

I bought this yesterday Feb 1 2019 with 20,700 miles on it from the dealership at Southpointe Hendricks Subaru in Durham, NC. I think the dealership did not give a great deal. charged more than they should have. I got black Premium. The car seems higher than the sport model i tried in a different place which had everything on it. This one doesn't have the blind spot or auto braking before a collision and I think I should have had that. The car drives well but has a lot of body roll and some engine noise. Though outside noise is negligent. Brakes well and corners well as the turning radius is smaller than the legacy. It doesn't feel as planted as my BMW 2011 3 series with X Drive but that is a different category of car altogether. But for all the other cars in it's price range drives very well and looks stylish and classy in black as well as the AWD which even in if you have some snowy days in the winter is useful as well as in the rainy days in all the other seasons. I cannot say much of reliability as i have not owned it but one day. Hope it is. All in all, the affordability and the AWD and the safety that drew me to the first Japanese car I have bought. And no, not a BMW but drives well and I am satisfied.

I've notice a lot of confusion from other reviews with the customer service and service at Prestman Auto so I thought I'd add my two cents and my experience. First of all, they have a policy where they allow you to browse on your own without any interruptions from annoying sales reps. If you need help for a test drive something else, just ask any staff for an available sales rep to help you and they'll find one. Also, if you don't understand why their prices are so low, you should read on their website to learn a little about them because they aren't your typical car dealership. About 2 years ago I bought a 2013 Ford Focus ST-3 from them for an excellent price. I have loved my car ever since and I would recommend this dealership to anyone especially my fellow car guy/gal.

After having my car totaled due to an accident that wasn???t my fault, I spent three weeks dealing with the ensuing insurance process, which was elongated by unfortunate timing of holidays. When I finally was ready to make a purchase of a replacement vehicle, I traveled 5 hours from Wyoming down to Prestman Auto because of the fantastic prices I had seen online. I was summarily impressed by the dealership. For all of the stress that comes with a crash, buying a car, test driving, getting financed, etc, everyone at the Prestman dealership made the experience as smooth as possible. Micah was friendly and not all pushy, willing to answer any and all questions. As a first time car buyer, I was able to get financed at a great rate, and the assistant sales manager, Debbie, walked me through the process with a smile on her face. I never once felt talked down to (always a concern as a young female). When I left the dealership that day, I had a vehicle that I was thrilled to drive and a major weight lifted from my shoulders. I couldn???t have asked for a better first car buying experience.

I first owned a 2013 impreza. I totaled it at 103,500 miles and bought a 2018 impreza with 7800 miles. You would think after 5 years Subaru would get their bluetooth connectivity issues fixed. But obviously not. I'm playing music in my car get out of my car with it still running, get back in my car put it in reverse and my phone randomly disconnects and will not reconnect until I restart the car. And heaven forbid you take your seat belt off a split second before you put it in park because it will beep like crazy even after it's in park! So stupid! I feel like my 2013 impreza was a little quicker as well. My 2013 had all the recall/lawsuit problems so hopefully the 2018 is better build quality . Other then those small problems it's been a great car and I like it.

My experience purchasing a vehicle from Nate Wade Subaru was exceptional from start to finish! My initial contact was through an online inquiry and request for an ePrice - I was connected with Josh Kelly. Initially I was just testing the water as to my options to upgrade from my 2013 Subaru Legacy to a 2016 Legacy with EyeSight and other new safety features. I had my heart set on a specific color and was flexible with the options, to a point. A couple trips (225 miles each way) to Nate Wade Subaru to check out inventory and test drive a few cars - helped set me on the track to purchase. The only difficulty was when I decided on options I wanted and found that there were two cars on the lot appointed as I wanted - but neither in my preferred color. Josh searched other dealers and found there was actually one a short (40 minutes) away which was exactly what I wanted. It was a Saturday - a busy one at Nate Wade, Josh had several customers simultaneously and I never felt that I was anything but his top priority. He took the time to try to contact the other dealership to see if they would do a dealer trade for the car but the other dealership said they were shorthanded and didn't have time. This didn't stop Josh from trying other routes to see if the car was actually available and could be obtained for me. He said if it was he would drive there and get the car for me. Needless to say, the day ended without word from the other dealer so I went home. By the end of the day Sunday, I felt I'd adequately explored my options - between getting the car from the other dealer or selecting one on the lot which had the options but not the exterior/interior color I preferred. I was back on the road to Nate Wade Subaru on Monday morning. I met with Josh briefly to look over the printouts for the different cars, then went to look at the vehicles they had on the lot. Josh went to work to see if they could get the car from the other dealer. Ultimately this dealership agreed, but had changed the price on the car - so I declined. (Sorry to put you through all the Josh!) Instead I purchased the one at Nate Wade even if it wasn't the color I'd originally hoped to find. It is a lovely car (same exterior color as my 2013) and has some really awesome features! Once I'd finally made up my mind, Josh handed me over to Nick Poulos to finalize the paperwork. Nick is quite a character! It was a pleasure getting to know him a little while he walked me through the sea of paperwork. It truly felt like talking with an old friend in the short time in his office. He definitely added a nice personal touch to the process. Thanks so much Nick for the special care and everything! I really enjoyed driving home (3+ hours on the freeway). It was a stormy day and my new Legacy handled the slushy/snowy road with nimble road-hugging reliability that I expect, know and love! Really good in snow...sucked at everything else

I honestly hated this car. The only time where I loved it was in the snow...because it just never got stuck. Like I could have snow up to my fenders and still mash the pedal from a dead stop and not slip once. Like it was kind of unbelievable in the winter. But with having standard awd it's kind of expected. But everything else...it's uncomfortable, the electronics tended to just stop working...regularly...like the radio would shut off at random, the back up camera would stop working whenever it felt like...radio presets would reset, the screen would stop working...just a headache sometimes. The check engine light would pop on every once in awhile seemingly for no apparent reason and then go off without warning. It got TERRIBLE GAS MILEAGE...like literally terrible... For a four banger I literally only averaged like 23 mpg....on a good day got 25...never higher than that...and I do ALL highway driving. I bought a f**king Challenger and that thing averages 30 mpg...and has DOUBLE the power. It's insane. And I don't understand it. And the car is ungodly slow and I HATE the CVT trans...it's literally the worst thing ever. I wanted a manual but I settled for the cvt because I didn't want to wait a week when I needed a car at the time. It is what it is. If you don't care about fuel economy, performance, working radios, electronics in general, and just something that you can get from point a to b with little to no issues then get a subie...But if you actually care about all that stuff then I'd stay very far away from this car. Maybe I'm being harsh, but I don't really car. Literally the MOST BORING car I've ever owned...and I used to own a 1998 Ford escort that broke every other week and that thing was still more fun than this... Just happy to be out of it. Someone else's problem now.

I was SO impressed by Jeramiah's manner in dealing with me. I have dealt with Nate Wade for the past 10 years (service department) so when I decided to trade in my 2008 WRX and lease a new Outback, Jeramiah was the sales person I ended up with - lucky me! Jeramiah made sure that I chose the exact model that would fit my needs. I was totally surprised that from start to finish, I was only there a mere 3 hours to drive off in my new Outback! Nate Wade is the best!

The car met all of my travelling needs. It's a great commuter and capable of some adventurous dirt paths. Getting ~30mpg for AWD all the time is great. Subaru's eyesight makes the driving experience assuring and the Apple CarPlay integrated in the head unit makes media consumption super easy.
