I was looking to sell my Canadian vehicle and went to CarSense Chester Springs for a quote on a Saturday. They gave me a quote and I mulled it over for a couple of days then returned on a Tuesday morning to sell. The process was almost complete when they realized that they would not be able to resell my vehicle wholesale to an auctioneer (because it's Canadian and still reads in km) which meant the vehicle was basically useless to them. I could tell the buyer and other sales associates felt bad, but they also felt that their hands were tied and they couldn't purchase the vehicle from me at a loss. What happened next was truly unexpected. After checking all of their options and determining that yes, it was true that they couldn't sell my car at anything near the value they would pay for it THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD HONOR THEIR INITIAL QUOTE ANYWAY. And they did. My situation is pretty specific (Canadian vehicle, unfortunate oversight made when pricing out my vehicle, etc.) but overall it demonstrates that this is a dealership with integrity and heart. "Auto dealer" and "classy" aren't terms typically uttered in the same sentence, but I can definitely say that CarSense is a dealership with class. I have already relayed my experienced to several people and I will continue to do so. I would highly recommend CarSense Chester Springs.

I love the look, performance, features, comfort and reliability. I have owned VW's, Ford Pinto, Audi Fox, Honda Accord, Toyota Tercel, Chevy Malibu, Chevy Impala and a 1942 Pontiac that was a gift from an old neighbor who went into a Nursing Home in 1964. I had the most fun in the '42 but my Legacy is by far the nicest car I have ever owned.

I like the Legacy and it’s safety features. It was comfortable and roomy. AWD was good in snow and easy to drive. It also has some nice features like the Bluetooth, a CD player and cruise control. Backup camera was also a plus.

Very good if you live in the snow or in the mountains or hills. Subaru has truly mastered the symmetrical 4wheel system. Can’t go wrong with it. And this car still gets the same gas mileage as it’s compe like Camry and accord of same years who don’t have the extra stuff like the 4wd.

We live around the corner from Scott Honda and have had our 2003 Civic Hybrid serviced there for 14 years. The old car is still running -- that thing will probably never break down, thanks to Honda's indestructible design and Scott's fantastic mechanics -- but we figured we should finally get a car we could plug our phones into without using the tape deck. So we came to Scott, wondering if their sales department was as good as their service department. It was! From beginning to end, Greg was upbeat, respectful, informative, transparent, and attentive to our requests. We wanted another stick shift, which a lot of people haven't even heard of anymore, but Greg was right there with us, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the things stick shift snobs are enthusiastic about; he gave us great advice and compelling opinions from start to end without trying to change our minds about our fundamental preferences. After we decided what model we wanted and priced the same car at other dealerships, I figured it'd come down to brass tacks with a good haggle, but Greg gave us a great price right off the bat -- $600 less than what any of the other dealerships had offered us, possibly because of our "Scott Loyalty Points" from our decade+ in the service department. Even better, the price he named was the actual price we paid, no surprises. He did offer a bunch of expensive extras, but didn't try to push the soft sell when we declined them (though he did treat us to an entertaining story about a makeup explosion in his wife's car in his bid to sell us that crazy Zurich Shield!) Our time completing the finance process with Tom was great as well. Tom also had a whole list of expensive extra warranties to sell us (but like Greg was completely respectful and didn't argue when we declined them). Absolutely no surprises and great service from start to finish. One detail I should mention: there were some "pre-installed extras" already in the vehicle when it was delivered: you know what they are, things like wheel locks, pinstripe decals, a security system, things we didn't really care for and wouldn't opt for. These things are already in the vehicle and the dealers aren't going to take them out because it would be too much effort. But some dealers are coy about this; they try to leverage the situation to try to get you to pay for them (even though they're just going to throw them in no matter what) but Greg and Tom never tried to do that. I found that, above all, to be eminently respectful to us as customers, and although I don't really care much about having wheel locks, I don't mind having them and it was nice not to have to have any arguments about whether I was going to pay for them. In sum, buying this car -- a Civic sedan EX-T, by the way, which we are COMPLETELY IN LOVE with already -- was just a quality experience from beginning to end. For us, Scott Honda is three miles away. If you don't want to move to our neighborhood just in order to be close to them, you might still consider driving a bit out of your way to buy or service your car at Scott.

Reliable but Brash

The Subaru Legacy is an excellent vehicle. Subaru has nailed the practicality formula with this vehicle. It is large inside, gets excellent fuel economy, has strong mechanical components (engine, trans, AWD system), and is a perfect family vehicle, though the engine is lacking in power. However, and this is a big, however, the Subarus are NOT built for your comfort. The seats are comfortable enough, as is the ride comfort, but the lack of refinement is alarming. The vehicle is loud, brash, and has little concern for luxury. The interior trim is cheap plastic and rough to the touch. There is very little sound deadening, a decibel meter read 79 decibels at only 50 mph, unacceptable in modern vehicles. Reliability is something great to be concerned about, and Subaru offers an excellent package for reliability and practicality, however, the lack of concern for refinement and quality engineering, especially in todays market, is bad enough to make me sell the car. In a modern market, reliability is something that can be found in most vehicles, but modern interiors have improved far past where Subaru is currently. Want reliability, get a Toyota. Need AWD, get a Toyota RAV4. Your comfortable bottom will thank you for it.

We were browsing the market for a small-sized SUV and found a Fiat 500x at Weathers Motors. We contacted the dealership about the car which was recently listed. They responded immediately (within hours). Tom Tague was our contact person. He is extremely polite, professional, and showed us a great deal of respect and went way beyond. Although the car was recently added to their inventory and no pictures were yet posted, Tom Tague took the time to go over the actual specs of the car and even emailed us the original window sticker. Overall, this was a very good experience. The way they treated us showed how professional and genuine they really are. I love this car!! Never having owned or been in a Subaru before, i have always loved the idea of full time All Wheel Drive!! This car delivers on that, the handling in snow, rain or even dry road conditions is way different from other vehicles and you can feel it while steering! The interior is amazing, layed out with enough room to feel comfortable, in all seats...even in the back (others have told me.) The layout of controls and the general interface of the car is great, once situated, you will feel comfortable with everything within reach!! Always being at the top of the game in safety, i feel more then relaxed in my Subaru!! Knowning that i can pretty much handle anything that might happen, from possible hazardous drivers or road conditions. Always wanting a Subaru and finally getting one, has made driving a completely different experience...i have used this car several times to travel long distances and it is amazingly comfortable, with the lumbar support the seats provide, as well as general comfort of the leather seats. Excellent car all around!!!

I really enjoy almost everything about the car. It drives well, good features, good mileage for AWD. I wish the body was not so low to the ground ( easy to scrape on curbs etc ) but I want a sedan and it seems all sedans now are low like this one nowadays.

bought my 2009 limited pzev 2.5i with 23k, one owner. I broke 4 wheel bearings, 2 cats (recalled), the radiator, and an oil sensor. there were 9 recalls which is a bit sketchy. I bought the car as a test really - to see if subaru's really are unbreakable, reliable, and cheap to maintain...im not exactly disappointed... the car currently has 160k of HARD miles. I purposely put a beating on this thing. I tried to get it stuck in deep snow and NOT ONCE would it get stuck. every morning hot or cold it turns right over. engine light came on one time at 150k for an oil pressure sensor ($120), but that's it. the drive train feels invincible - I literally cant break it - I see another 160k added with ease. as for reliability - anything that broke was my fault, or recalled. I think the front end is ugly, its a little long for a car, and everything about it is incredibly basic, but for an overall review I can honestly say this car is great. a little expensive for the basic features, wish I got the GT, but as reliable as they say Subaru's are. 11/10 in terms of mechanics and reliability.

Talk about a sleek car with available iSight camera system that helps ensure the safety of everyone in the vehicle. Comes with adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. Automatic braking to avoid front end collion. Reverse camera with automatic braking and sensors to alert you of oncoming objects usually not in your immediate view when reversing. The day time running lamps are the sharpest looking thing on the road, I prefer them over my BMW LED day time running lamps. In terms of comfort you have all premium leather heated seats with a wood grain front panel that gives off a modern style. Steering wheel paddle shifters with AWD give you superb control. Keyless entry and push to start engine means you can quickly get in and go! Has the new shark fin antenna that flows with the vehicle. Automatic on/off headlamps and awesome fog lamps that individually turn on when making a turn to increase your visibility of the immediate low ground road which allows you to dodge every pothole.

My old car was my third minivan in 15 years. Now that my kids are older and leaving for college, I wanted something that could carry 6 or 7 passengers but was ... well... NOT a minivan. I did some research on late model used three-row SUVs, and found the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. (My favorite of my three vans was a 2005 Nissan Quest, so choosing Nissan was easy for me.) Before I started browsing for cars, I applied for credit through Carvana, and was approved. Next, I entered in all of the information about the van I was trading for the Pathfinder. (Beware -- the trade-in amount is only good for 7 days, and it can change wildly in that time!) I was pleased with the trade amount, and it was great that I could shop for my new car and see my down payment and monthly payment for every car I viewed! My specifications were pretty clear -- AWD, less than 10,000 miles, and never a rental car. I found my dream car a few days later, and started the purchase process. It was quite smooth and the directions were very clear about what documents need to be uploaded. When I went to click on "finalize purchase" (or something like that), a red flag popped up...my trade-in value expired WHILE I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF CHECKING OUT! I got on chat with Carvana staff right away, and they were able to return the trade in value to NEARLY what it was before the expiration. This is something that needs to be addressed by Carvana -- once a customer is to a certain point in the process, those numbers need to be frozen. So we set a delivery time, and the Carvana rep was pretty much on time considering he was traveling 70 miles or so from the Chicago office. Everything was smooth -- signed a couple more papers, took my Pathfinder for a spin, Eric inspected my trade, and I left within 30 minutes with my new car. I would also like to add that I drove directly to my mechanic, so he could inspect the car and make sure I wasn't buying something with hidden damage. Mechanic said to me, "This car is perfect, like new." Just what I wanted to hear. Thanks Carvana! I am telling everyone I know about you guys. Good to work with you! Janet - 2017 Nissan Pathfinder

Selling to Carvana: super easy and no-hassle!

This is a review of my SELLING experience to Carvana. I listed my car on Craigslist and was approached by an outsider buyer named Jan. She introduced me to Carvana, which I never heard of before, and it's process. She was very helpful and walked me through the process. The first deciding factor for selling to them was that they offered me the best price (vs. CarMax, Auto Nation, Trur Car). Then I realized the process was super streamlined. All I had to do was upload my documents and, after approval, schedule an appointment for the pickup of my car. Carvana sent a truck to COME TO ME to pick up the car. The driver (Lauren?) was very courteous and pleasant to work with, too. The pickup process, which included a one-mile test drive, took no longer than 20-30 minutes. Immediately after loading my car to their truck, I was handed the check, which I immediately deposited without any issues. My selling experience from being contacted by buyer to getting the check took just 10 days! (Would've been even faster if I was more timely with uploading my docs.) I'd highly recommend Carvana for selling your cars!

My previous Subaru got totaled when I was able to stop, but 2 other big american slug boxes were not. So I needed a new car, and I test drove a few, but ended up buying another Subaru

Buying through Carvana was one of the best transactional experiences ever! I shopped for several months, test drove several cars to understand the models and features I was looking for. Then, boom, the car that matched come up in my search and I pulled the trigger. Within minutes, I had a value on my trade-in, purchased the car, (to include a very well priced extended warranty), and arranged for financing it through the Carvana website. And, while that was a very easy, non pressure experience, what made it really special was the delivery. Rachel, the Caravan rep, called me the day before the delivery to confirm, then called while in route to be sure not to leave me hanging. She was right on time, professional, and extremely upbeat. I had a genuine feeling that her priority was not only to deliver the car and pick up my trade in, but it was to make the final part of my experience a pleasure as well. Rachel was extremely knowledgeable of the process and did an excellent job of assuring I was informed of the "7 day, no questions asked, test drive" as well as the final paperwork to be processed. A few signatures and the trade-in was her's and the keys to 2014 BMW 535 were in my hands.

This car handles snow with fun! Basically it handles like a charm and there is nothing I would change. I have the Limited w/ Eyesight which I highly recommend. The downside are the HVAC controls. They are not intuitive at all and I find I have to take my eyes off the roads to make simple adjustments. The screen also reflects the sunlight and can be difficult to see at times. Comfort is excellent, front and back, and ingress/egress is great for folks w/o arthritis. Trunk space is also a plus.

I've been a life-time Honda driver and owner. It was time to let my high-mileage Pilot go as our family grew and it started to cost more to maintain (I loved that car). I opened my search for a replacement from Honda to Subaru based on the many great things I've heard via friends and family - both new and long-time Subaru owners. I began my search online, searching all dealers near me, looking at their in-stock Outbacks and Foresters. Since all had decent stock of what I was hoping would make it into our price range, I decided to narrow it down to Matt Slap, the closest Subaru dealer to us. I first contacted them to setup a test drive using the pop-up on their website. I was called by Mary T to ask when I could come in. She was pleasant, but unfortunately I was at work and couldn't talk long. A day later I again went to the website and setup an appointment for a test drive, easy thing to do. I was greeted by Greg Winter at the door. Friendly right off the bat and ready to help. We cut to the chase and got out on the lot to take a look. It wasn't long before I was behind the wheel of a Outback Premium. We talked about the car as I drove, of course and, moreover, OTHER makes. He knows his cars and the details! Much more than I could ever care to know or take time to. My point is that it made me feel like he wasn't just going to keep directing me as to why Subaru was great but what else is out there is today's world of cars. Again, something I don't think about much, until ready to purchase a new one. We took a Forester Premium out next. Another pleasant ride and more "car talk". When we returned we looked at other trims of Forester and talked over what I'd look for in price, along with what else they might have in stock. Not long after we were off to their lot on 273, to compare even more. A Forester caught my eye and so we headed back to the dealer to talk more and see what they could do for me. The summation of the rest of the visit: -They looked at my Pilot and gave me a very fair value on it (it being a Honda DID have an impact on whether they would entertain taking it or not) - They gave me a better price on the Forester I wanted after the initial monthly payment wouldn't work for our budget - Greg remained professional and comfortable to talk to and work with throughout the process after I accepted their offer - Larry came by to check on things and ask what I thought, but beyond that had little interaction with him (a nice guy for sure though!) - Finance with Michael went smoothly and was easy for me to understand my additional options. I didn't feel pressured at any point. He's good at his job and, like Greg and Larry, professional, yet comfortable - The last person to help me out was Amanda, who oriented me to me new car and help me clean out my Pilot (YES, I took home my Forester that same day I went in to "just look"!). She was able to answer every question I had and was personable and pleasant. It was a LONG day, having shown up around 9:00AM and left around 1:45. I never felt pressured to buy that day. I was even asked if I would take it home that day if I could and I said that I would consider it. Sure, I was excited to get a new car and maybe anxious and impatient, however I felt good about it driving home, ready to show it off to the family. I'll have a follow-up appointment in the next few weeks. All in all a great experience at Matt Slap!

Good Reliable Car

Bought it new in Oct 2011, fantastic in snow, I live in a hilly area of PA and still get 28 mpg local and 33 mpg on trips, only issue I had with it was had to replace front wheel bearing, which i did myself. Takata air bag issue was fixed promptly by dealer, very satisfied with car and dealer, Minooka Subaru Moosic PA.

Rich fit me in and that did not translate as waiting forever. He knew who was there to help me and my vehicle was processed in a timely manner. I had questions about my keys, the tab behind the inside door handle,& the locking system modification I was looking for. Rich answered the first 2 without hesitation and the 3 he said they'd take a look at the locking system and see what they could do. After I left I realized the outcome wasn't exactly the lock modification I was looking for, but he told me to bring it back in to see if it could be done... The svc mgr. David F. was also very proactive and called my house following the last survey I submitted and he also said he would help.

Legacy issues

I drove this 15 Legacy Premium for a year now, bought it certified used, with 60000 miles on it, I put 20000 in one year and had 3 major brake downs with the car: 1) oil seals were leaking and needed replaced 2) transmission valve body needed replacement Both luckily were covered by warranty 3) starter was loose and needed to be re tighten that was not covered by warranty Other than that the car does give good gas mileage, drives well, and has good features. I’m glad I had the certified used but I can’t imagine buying this car with no warranty
