What a pleasure! If you are as OCD as me and do your homework in researching a vehicle and its pricing as well as dealer reviews and you are looking for a Subaru, this is the place to go. First off, I have owned and/or currently owned Nissans, Toyotas, Jeep, Plymouth/Dodges, Acura, Suzuki (don't ever do that!), Hyundai, and Ford/Mercury's. In fact, I owned a 1976 Subaru box car (orange) to which the head gasket blew within 4 months of ownership, so I was a bit queasy trusting Subaru again. More and more research including articles from Consumer Reports, Edmunds, Cars, etc., all pointed to, for me, the Outback and so far, knock on wood, I am pretty confident that the decision I made was right. As to Bill Kolb, Jr., I had the pleasure of dealing with Holman Cano; professional, friendly, no-nonsense approach to which most of our conversations were by telephone or e-mail. I spent a total of maybe 2 hours at the dealership in two days. 1 night to see if the vehicle was right for me and getting to the price and financing again, right for me; and the other time was to go over the vehicle in detail. A++++ to you guys. Hope to deal with you again when my wife is in need of a car.

I was in the market for a new car. I have always admired the Subaru WRX Sti in many ways. It is my dream car. However, at my age and current socio-economic background the purchase of such vehicle is ill advised. Nonetheless, I purchased the next best thing in relation to my current situation... a used 2016 Subaru Impreza 2.0i the hatchback (cuz you know... coolfactor x100). Background Before I even went to the dealership, I made various phone calls and obsessed research on different car models that would compliment my lifestyle. The recurring theme was All-Wheel drive, hatchback and manual. Truth be told, this was my first ever car purchase. My parents bought me a car for college many moons ago. It was a clunky SUV that survived 13 years of neglect and terrible care-taking on my part. It still survives to this day, but I shudder in fear every time I turn the ignition. Basically, it was time to retire the beast and take on a different adventure with another. The Sale As my research progressed, I stumbled upon a used 2016 Subaru Impreza hatchback. It was exactly what I wanted. I called Bill Kolb Jr Subaru to see if it were still available. I was put in touch with Howard in the process and we scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival, I was greeted as if I were family. Howard was the first desk on the right as soon as you walked in. Much like barbershops or salons, i had a feeling that 1st seat or first desk was reserved for the elite. I was not wrong. Howard projects an aura of self-esteem and confidence in his work that permeates in the air. His hairstyle was slicked back with the sides short. He wore a kind of horned rim glasses that shouted out Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and Hipster. This man has style, class and the demeanor of Victorian royalty. He was my kind of people. As mentioned before, this was my first time buying a car, and i was a complete NOOB in the whole process. Howard walked me through the entire course on what to expect and answered my questions without fail. He was very patient and diligently answered every stupid question I asked. Since it was a used car, Howard explained the background of the vehicle to me and he got me when he said "brand new engine." At that point, and at 30 mins of walking into the door and even before seeing the car ... i was ready to buy. This man was good at his job. When it was time to test drive the vehicle, I admitted to Howard that it had been awhile since I had the opportunity to drive manual car. He politely joked if he was in trouble. I answered a sincere YES, but he was still patient and even talked me through the whole ride. I was nervous, much like my road test in the Bronx at the age of 17. I thought Howard was going to fail me. I imagined him with a clipboard with only YES or NO on it. Nevertheless, I felt like I passed and was worthy of the car, which by the way, felt like a dream! It was compliant, safe and exceeded my expectations. The takeaway Howard wrestled with the paperwork with ease, I spoke to the finance department and came up with a reasonable outcome. I barely did anything. The entire process was as smooth as butter on a warm day. Howard did his thing, i made smart and annoying comments and our transaction was complete. The following day, I drove the car home after giving him my down-payment. No hassle, no gimmicks. I didn't have to haggle because I felt taken cared off with a great deal. In the future, when it is time to buy a new car, hopefully in another 13 years, i can only hope to see Howard there or another just like him. Howard is absolute professional and a master at his craft.

I previously bought 3 subaru's from Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru, then bought a 2018 Honda CRV, very unhappy so I went back to Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru and bought a 2019 Subaru Forester. I felt like I was home again !!! I was only gone for 6 months but it felt like a lifetime. Joe Postighone sales manager, Marty in finance, Howard, my salesman, Nixon and Gregory in service all accepted me with open arms. This is the best dealer that I have ever dealt with. They are knowledgeable, friendly, honest, and give the best service. They are thorough when you go in for any type of service. They treat you like FAMILY !!! I feel so much safer in my Subaru then I did in the CRV. I would recommend this dealer to everyone.

Engine and mileage troubles

It's a pretty little car. I got the white. It does have excellent outboard visibility which was important to me . The seats are comfortable and I wanted it for the safety ranking, the AWD and the visibility all of which are as promised. It is the smallest car I've had in 40 years but has room for what I need at my age. However it did not get better than 19 mpg city and highway and they had to put a new engine in it. Now it is averaging 24 and can get 32 on the hwy in favorable conditions. I like the heated sets on the lowest setting and am happy to have the back up camera although it is nearly useless after dark-very blurry. I think it accelerates fast enough. I am not happy to not have retained auxiliary power which I thought was standard on something at this price : $26,0000. It is a huge nuisance to have to turn the car back on to close the sunroof or roll a window up or down, The sound system is horribly overcomplicated. Too many unneeded warning indicators which are pretty tiny and take research to figure out.I like the driver info center. I'm getting older and would prefer a car with fewer rather than more features. I had to search hard to find one with a compass , which I still find useful and essential but it is placed-way up in a corner of the rearview mirror. Should be on the dash somewhere to be really useful. The salesforce and the mechanics are very responsive and the car is generally well made. They fixed the engine without complaint. So they get points for that. I just think it is complicated in ways that are not helpful.

My 2014 Legacy was the best car I ha e ever owned! I wanted all the safety features that the newer ones have so I drove across the bridge to Bill Kolb. I was greeted by Ross Kelter, a knowledgeable, patient and kind man. Since it was the end of the 2018 production year and he couldn???t find me exactly what I wanted, I decided to order a 2019. There was absolutely no ???hard sell???!!!!! The car came in sooner then I expected! Wow! Ross sat very patient,y with me and explained every system- and this car has every bell and whistle imaginable! He even called me the very next day to make sure everything is okay. Everyone at the dealership was friendly and helpful. These guys all really wa t to be there, it???s obvious that they like what they???re doing (and don???t have to check with a manager e Rey 2 minutes)! I???ve never had a car buying experience like this Now I???m directing my Subaru.buddies to go there! Even though it???s not my closest dealer I???ll probably have my gorgeous and luxurious Legacy serviced there! Thank you, thank you!

My Husband and I have a Subaru Forrester. I purchased my car in 2013, and my husband is on his second lease. We had the same salesman (Ross) for all the transactions. Ross was professional courteous and knowledgeable. There was no push nor manipulation. The dealership has a nice open feel and the staff is friendly. As a matter of fact when I purchased my Forrester in 2013 the manager came over to say thank you. The service department is excellent....from making the appointment, checking in and the mechanics they all are professional, honest and courteous. Good car but many distraction dangers

Unless you like to stay up at night reading your Subaru Legacy manual, you may never get the hang of this car. We lease it. Really hard to figure out the settings for window operations, radio, air conditioner (but NO heater), headlight setting, door functions (which doors you gotta open first in order to open other doors), how to get the darn trunk open. So many things. Overr-designed. Too much dashboard disboard distraction. Plus, you can never leave the radio on and open the door (buzzers go off). One must leave the engine on if you want to listen to the radio, open or close a window. I've always had Sirius in previous cars and had no difficulties. Legacy radio display is horrifically complex. Hard to set favorites. Worst of all, you cannot readily know when you are out of gas. My old Volvo used to give me a digital readout on how many miles were left before I'd run out of gas. Really helped me gauge when to stop and refuel. In the Legacy, you can read the meter and think you're okay and then suddenly you see the Orange alert. I tend tonot kno get nervous not knowing approximately how many miles I can drive before I run out completely. In short, the Subaru drives very well, looks pretty good, but is not designed to be user friendly. If you don't like reading manuals in order to listen to a car radio, you'll be irritated often. And the temptation to try to figure these things out WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING is a danger that absolutely must be avoided. I'd love to have a talk with the dashboard designer!

This is my second Bill Kolb purchase. A 2010 Legacy in 2010, and this last one,a 2016 Forester X Premium. Happy! I will travel the 65 miles for service if I can, but I want to know if I can use a closer dealer, (19 miles) without creating hostilities, especially since I chose not to purchase at the closer one after it changed owners. I bought 3 vehicles from Feders' Subaru in Middletown, NY, but my husband died in 2009 and I couldn't bring myself to go there without him, therefore, I went to Bill Kolb. Now I got my second BKS car. My first Subaru purchase was , I believe, around '99 from Colonial in Kingston, NY. The following 3 or 4 were Feders', and as I said, these last 2 were Kolb. When I describe my purchase as used, both were "new," demos, I think. This one from 2016 came with 181 miles and when I bought the 2010 it had 5,018 miles. You can't beat the value. Subaru should follow the "Murano" lead and produce an AWD convertible.

Imprecise steering, especially bad at highway speeds, needs constant correction. Stiff, at times jarring ride around town. Awful entertainment system, radio and navigation cannot be turned off only turned down until car is restarted. Ready to cancel lease and walk away from $3000 down payment less than 2 months into lease.

A Dealer Experience that didn't Disappoint!

Living and working in the tri-state area, one gets used to being treated like a number, just another customer to deal with. When looking to replace my leased Legacy with another, because the car is just awesome for its value in the market today, I was looking for a better dealer experience than the one I was used to at my Yonkers area dealership. Like yourself reading this, I turned to this site for direction. Read the reviews for Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru, and liked what I saw about the dealership. In reading on, looking for which one of their salaried sales people I would like to work with, I happened upon Howard Bonfield. His reviews were so stellar I had to actually see for myself it was true. I email him directly and within 20 minuets, not only was my email answered, but a followup phone call was received. In a semi-breif conversation about my concerns with the new Legacy, Howard answered all my questions with decisive, informative answers. By the end of the conversation, I was confident that I had made the correct Dealership and Salesperson choice. I also had an appointment to test drive both a 4 cylinder and a 6 cylinder Legacy within 4 days time. Upon arriving, we were greeted warmly by Howard, sat and chatted some more about the differences between the two cars, our lease end time frame, and some life points in general. He took some time to get to know us, as well as our needs. We test drove the cars on a nice loop that gave us a good feel for the cars. With all my fears about the new High Torque CVT transmission quelled, we sat down and he began the process of figuring out what I wanted on my new 3.6R Legacy accessory wise and the all important final cost. This is where it got interesting, Howard did his numbers thing, and handed me a deal that in the end was below what 1 person in my area had paid on the KBB Fair Market Value Guide. And WAY below what most had paid! No haggling, no discussion, just a great price on a great car, DONE! Not to leave Paul Spiegel out, the Finance Person we spoke with, he too was easy going and friendly in his manor. No hard sell for the other programs the dealer offers, and since it was a lease, there was not much to go into about Financing. However, he was pleasurable to deal with. Mind You, all this took place in one night, from 7:30 to past the 9PM closing time, and no one made us feel rushed or that we were putting anyone out in any way. The car was ready for pickup 2 days later. He took in our current Legacy and did all the paperwork on that transaction. All the paperwork for the new vehicle was gone over and explained to us. Then he showed us all the features in the car and how to operate them, he even connected our phones to the Starlink entertainment system, truly a class act and a genuinely nice guy to deal with. There were followup emails and calls from both Howard and the Dealership Management as well, Thanking us for our patronage and giving us links to How-to Videos for our new Legacy. Painless, Friendly, easy transaction that confirmed the decision to go to Bill Kolb Jr. and work with Howard was the right move. In my honest opinion, You can't go wrong with this Dealer, and this team.

With over 40 years??? experience, investigations this was an easy one. For four months, I constantly researched every Subaru dealer, private dealers and individuals selling 2016 or 2017 Subaru outback???s within 150-mile radius of my home. There is a major Subaru dealership in my hometown and three others before you get to Bill Kolb Jr Subaru. In fact, my wife & I unfortunately made a stop before going to Bill Kolb Jr Subaru a few Saturday???s ago after finding the perfect car on their website. Unfortunately, it was sold that morning, a 2016 Outback. There was a little rain coming down, we???re disappointed and I said okay we made a mistake let???s go back and research everything again; then we had the pleasure of meeting Gary Mendelsohn a sales person at the dealership. What a gentleman, did not push did not rush us more important did not lie to us. He showed us a 2017 Subaru outback premium class but when I saw the seats for cloth I said no because I wish to have leather. Is the answer we can do that. WOW. He sent us back home after a couple minutes of talking so my wife and I can think this over. We did and the next day I filled that out the credit information from Subaru called Gary told him I wanted the seats the colors everything and within a few minutes he emailed me back Done Deal. GREAT PRICE. The dealership is really outstanding the credit department I spent two minutes there with a very knowledgeable finance gentleman. We took the car home while the leather seats were being ordered came back five days later to have the seats worked on they gave us a free loaner car and the work they did on the leather seats was completely amazing. Please note that I have emailed and called many other Subaru dealers and a fourth state radius and that one came close. I couldn???t believe all the other people coming from my hometown of Middletown New York to this dealership in Orangeburg NY to also buy their cars. I saw something like 10 sales people all busy helping people. I have owned 4 Subaru???s so far all over 200,000 miles??? next year we will be getting my wife???s car here. John & Michelle Ross

2017 Outback Limited sale - Sam Texler

This is my third Outback purchase, and the sales process was the least stressful and most organized by far. Before coming down to the dealership, I'd done a lot of research on the model, packages and options I wanted. I had also contacted about 7 other dealerships (yes, I did that) to see what was available, and to compare prices, communication, and general dealership personality. Hands-down, Bill Kolb rated highest on all data-points, due to the Sales Consultant I worked with, Sam Texler. My first contact was by email and Sam answered my questions directly, simply and clearly. I asked for a quote, broken down by line-item, and that's what I got. Follow-ups by phone and then in person, proved the same: no haggling, no pressure, just clear information, and incidentally, the best price by far right out of the gate. No mind games, no "checking with the manager", no surprise add-ons, no last minute price changes. It was this attitude which convinced me to buy from Bill Kolb over the other's. I felt like Sam really knew his product, and how to respectfully manage the customer relationship. The next step was paperwork, and the whole thing was smooth and efficient; I never felt rushed and Sam answered all the questions I needed to ask in order to feel comfortable. The sale happened at the end of the day, and Sam truly extended himself hours after he should have gone home. When I took possession of the car, he made sure to explain all the electronics and systems, syncing my phone, and taking a good deal of time to walk me through the navigation and audio. As an aside, here's a small indication of his idea of customer care and attention to detail: Sam had bookmarked, with color-coded page markers, each of the sections in the owner's manual that he thought was especially important. That's thoughtful, right? Makes it a whole lot easier to find what you're looking for, and actually encourages you to read it! It was late by the time I left, and I live a couple of hours away. I bought the Outback Limited with Eyesight and Navigation, and really enjoyed that drive back! Thank you, Sam, for making everything work out so nicely. P.S. a shout out to Marty in Finance, who helped everything move like clockwork. And with a smile!

Headline says it all. The EyeSight system isn't superior to anything else I've seen. The infotainment system is the worst I've ever seen or used in a car - constantly freezes or glitches. The AWD is amazing.

On Oct 22, 2016! I went to Sabaru in Orangeburg with my son,Michael. Several of my friends have Subarus.!,There I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Gary Mendelsohn to find my perfect fit. Gary made the process easier then I thought. I was excited and nervous and concerned over giving up my 2001 Honda--almost 160,000 miles. Gary listened to what I wanted and helped me narrow down my choices. Questions and concerns that I had were answered. My sons questions also were answered. The morning was positive. The energy in Subaru dealership outstanding; friendly, courteous and reassuring. Marty had the financial papers ready when I returned with my other son, Bill. All info was reviewed , questions answered . I felt I made the right choice.. On Oct29, I drove my new Subaru,2014 Forester..Great Experience. Great dealership. I like the Legacy and it’s safety features. It was comfortable and roomy. AWD was good in snow and easy to drive. It also has some nice features like the Bluetooth, a CD player and cruise control. Backup camera was also a plus.

I wasn't going to buy a car today because I still had a month left on my lease. I stopped by Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru just to see if I would fit in an Impreza sedan. I am 6' 3" so many small cars don't have sufficient headroom for me. When I entered the dealership, I met Howard and explained that I just wanted to see if I'd fit in the car. We walked out to the lot and found one with no moonroof and it was very comfortable. When Howard told me that the 2017 was on a redesigned platform and had a smoother, quieter ride than the older ones, I decided to test it out. He was not kidding. This was a completely different driving experience from my older Subarus. I decided right away that this was the car for me. But I still couldn't buy it today because I didn't have time to go to NJ and in my experience, the prices are lower there. I asked Howard to give me some numbers and it turns out that his price was lower than online estimates I had received from other local dealers and lower than my target price to negotiate. This no-haggle stuff really works well when their price is already better than the price I was going to try to haggle. I decided to buy the car on the spot. I had my Forrester with me and Howard offered to handle all the turn-in stuff for me. It was completely painless. The lease paperwork was done quickly and the DMV paperwork was done before I knew it had been started. Howard and the rest of the team at Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru took very good care of me and I expect they will the same care of everyone I plan to send their way.

The streering assist takes some getting used to. Also the smart cruise control again needs time to get used to. Lane assist is also another safety feature that can startle you a little till you get used to it. The vehicle it’s self seems well made and solid. I haven’t got enough time in it yet to really comment on the reliability.

I went to Bill Kolb, Jr. Subaru in Orangeburg, NY in Rockland County a few days ago. I???ve been a Toyota car owner my entire life. I wasn???t sure if I would make a purchase, but I had done extensive research on the Subaru Impreza 2016 Sport Limited model. I still had my Toyota Matrix under a loan and was looking to see if I would get a great trade in value for my car. When I arrived, I was greeted by Stuart Lesser. Mr. Lesser was an outstanding sales consultant from the time I walked in until the time I left. My car buying experience with Mr. Lesser far exceeded my expectations. I came prepared with the model and specific car I was looking for. Mr. Lesser took me out for a test drive. He was extremely thorough with explaining all of the features of the car. He answered all of my questions and concerns that I had. He was extremely knowledgeable of the Subaru brand and the Impreza model specifically. Negotiations were ???hassle free???. I couldn???t believe it at first. He offered me full value for my trade-in (based on KBB value). He was able to get me the car I wanted at the price I wanted and made the experience very relaxed and casual. When I met with Paul, the Finance negotiator, he was very straightforward with the pricing. He didn???t try to offer me a bunch of add-ons I didn???t want. His list was very short. I did purchase the extra warranty because for the price I believed it was worth it. In the end, I left with a better car and with very low payments. I was very satisfied when I was able to drive off the lot with my new Subaru Impreza. I even purchased an auto-dim mirror and remote start because of the hassle free environment that Stuart and the Subaru staff created. Even Bill Kolb, the owner, greeted me and inquired how the day was going. I couldn???t be more pleased. I definitely will recommend Bill Kolb, Jr Subaru to my friends and family. I want to thank Mr. Stuart Lesser for his honesty and outstanding service. 5 Stars!!

On June 16, 2018 I test drove two Subaru???s with my parents and Gary Mendelsohn at Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru. I test drove the Subaru Crosstrek and the Subaru Impreza Hatchback. I feel in love with the Subaru Crosstrek 2018. Gary was very knowledgeable about both vehicles. He made the test driving experience very relaxing and easy. When it came time to buy my new Subaru Crosstrek, Gary was very patient and was able to work with my family on finding the right car payments for me. Gary also answered any questions that we had about the different cars and the safety features that came with the Crosstrek. We even left Bill Kolb Subaru to get my Nissan Versa 2008 to trade in. Gary got my new Crosstrek ready and waiting for us when we were able to come back. When we came back to Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru, we met with Paul to go over maintenance and warranty packages. We were able to find one package within our budget. When it was time to go over the new car features, Gary explained everything to both my husband and I. We will defiantly use Gary and Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru again!

I love this car!! Never having owned or been in a Subaru before, i have always loved the idea of full time All Wheel Drive!! This car delivers on that, the handling in snow, rain or even dry road conditions is way different from other vehicles and you can feel it while steering! The interior is amazing, layed out with enough room to feel comfortable, in all seats...even in the back (others have told me.) The layout of controls and the general interface of the car is great, once situated, you will feel comfortable with everything within reach!! Always being at the top of the game in safety, i feel more then relaxed in my Subaru!! Knowning that i can pretty much handle anything that might happen, from possible hazardous drivers or road conditions. Always wanting a Subaru and finally getting one, has made driving a completely different experience...i have used this car several times to travel long distances and it is amazingly comfortable, with the lumbar support the seats provide, as well as general comfort of the leather seats. Excellent car all around!!!

I was dreading the whole process. I hadn't purchased a new car in 10 years. Everyday someone would give me advice, "walk out", "know exactly what you want", "be prepared to go to 10 dealerships", "this is how you'll be spending every weekend for the next month".... I walked into Rockland jeep just wanting to compare the trunk space in the 2 and 4 door wranglers. Perry asked me if I needed help, I told him right off the bat I was not planning to make a move for at least a few days. Despite that, Perry walked me around the lot, showed me every single difference between each and every jeep they had in stock, and assured me if they didn't have what I wanted (when I was ready to make the move) he would do it. He took me out on test drives, looked for inventory in other stores, gave me his honest opinion, and negotiated in a very friendly, non agressive manner. I knew at that point that I wanted to buy a car from him and Rockland Jeep. He spent hours with me, and at the end of the day we made a "soft deal" on a 2016 wrangler Sahara unlimited. He told me to take my time and to let him know what I decided, no pressure. Perry introduced me to Jay the money man, who worked hard to get the best rate possible.There was no doubt in my mind when I got home that I was taking that deal. I called Jay on Tuesday to tell him let's go for it and on Wednesday I was on my way home in my new Sahara. I can honestly say Perry was just as excited as I was when he handed over the keys. It was an amazing experience. I truly felt like I was buying from a long time friend or family member. I will absolutely recommend Rockland Jeep to anyone who asks and point them towards Perry for all their vehicle needs. ths financial part (which lets be real, it's the worst) was not awful as Jay made it as quick and easy as possible. Their hard work, attention to detail, and non aggressive negotiating tactics earn them a 10! I will absolutely be back again!

I just recently purchased a 2019 Subaru Ascent Touring from Liberty Subaru (my second Subie purchased from them). The service was stellar, as I expected. Dan (Meola) checked up and checked in many times during the pre-order and sales process. My salesperson, Brian Goon was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and helped me configure exactly what *I* wanted in my Ascent (no easy task, since we were trying to assemble a pre-order before the accessories list was even finalized). When the car was finally delivered to Liberty Subaru, even before I signed the paperwork, Brian spent nearly an HOUR explaining EVERY button, knob, switch, setting, dial and readout inside and outside of the car. No, seriously, it was a 100° day, and we started on the outside, where he showed me how to remove and install the hitch cover, how the approach lighting and door lock/unlock sensors worked, where the cameras were, how to fold the 3rd row from the back, where the power was in the back, how the lift gate worked, etc, etc - in the brutal heat. We then moved on to the interior, where he explained everything on the inside from the simple stuff like how to operate the seats to the more complex stuff, like every setting in the Infotainment system, and the readouts on all three LCD displays. He then went through what every manual in the car was and pointed out the ones that were the most important (Eyesight, folks. READ THE EYESIGHT MANUALS), even though he'd already given me a crash course in everything in the manuals. Moving on from there, Tom in Finance finalized my financing - always a pleasure to deal with him!!! I had THREE order changes on my vehicle (I requested all of them) that affected financing, and Tom worked with me through every one of them! He helped me get the best rate and terms and found what *I* wanted for financing to make things work for me! By the time I'd left (after my first "off-road" trip onto their front lawn for a photo), Starlink was set up and done, they'd already cooled the car for me, and I felt comfortable with driving my new purchase!!! I'm tagging Ed Vogel in this as well - he was NOT my salesperson for this sale, but did help with some additional communications during the process and checked in with me to see how everything was going. Ed was my salesperson for my first Subie - a 2010 Subaru Outback. Ed and Brian are night and day in some respects. Ed is more laid back and quiet, while Brian is more enthusiastic and "excited". But, from there, it's all similarities... they both would only sell me exactly what I wanted. Neither of them ever pushed me to anything else or to buy anything I didn't want. Both of them answered every question with a ridiculous level of honesty that's rare to find in many car dealers. They both would answer questions and then wait for me to decide what I wanted. Different approaches, different people, but amazing experiences with both of them. Ed makes you feel comfortable and at ease while Brian feeds your excitement about your purchase - all while both of them provide stellar service in their own unique ways. You can't go wrong either way!!!
Reliable but Brash

The Subaru Legacy is an excellent vehicle. Subaru has nailed the practicality formula with this vehicle. It is large inside, gets excellent fuel economy, has strong mechanical components (engine, trans, AWD system), and is a perfect family vehicle, though the engine is lacking in power. However, and this is a big, however, the Subarus are NOT built for your comfort. The seats are comfortable enough, as is the ride comfort, but the lack of refinement is alarming. The vehicle is loud, brash, and has little concern for luxury. The interior trim is cheap plastic and rough to the touch. There is very little sound deadening, a decibel meter read 79 decibels at only 50 mph, unacceptable in modern vehicles. Reliability is something great to be concerned about, and Subaru offers an excellent package for reliability and practicality, however, the lack of concern for refinement and quality engineering, especially in todays market, is bad enough to make me sell the car. In a modern market, reliability is something that can be found in most vehicles, but modern interiors have improved far past where Subaru is currently. Want reliability, get a Toyota. Need AWD, get a Toyota RAV4. Your comfortable bottom will thank you for it.

I have been coming to the dealership ever since I bought the car back in 2006. The customer service that they provide is outstanding. While I recognize that between the 45,000 mile checkup and the wheel alignment will take longer than the normal 2 hour wait, I didn't anticipate my wait to be close to 4 hours. I know Jorge did his best but he was not as effective as some of the other Service Managers who was on top of the shop and a number of them did frequent visit to the shop to make sure their customers were taken care of. I was not updated on the status of my vehicle even though he saw me pacing the hallway. It was the lady at the desk who offered a place for me to charge my phone and asked if I need anything. I had to ask Jorge a number of times what was happening. While he was very pleasant to speak with, I felt he lacked the sense of urgency, especially, when I first told him that I didn't want a loaner car given the amount of wait (4 hours or so) and I ended up waiting just as long.
This is a very stylish car that is also safe

I've never been to an auto/repair shop that takes so much great care of the customers that come there and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for repairs or even looking for a nice car.

I had a lot of great road trips in my legacy. There was a small problem in the transmission but it only on hard stops and was easily avoided. Probably will go 300,000.

I now recall that Marc Debenedictis worked with me for way over 6 months as I considered many options. I started with exploring buying or leasing a used Impreza; whether to trade-in or not and/or how to add another car. I had to decide for whom I was getting this second car: me or my son! From Marc's creative knowledge of options such as Military Offers to Leasing vs. Owning, I drove off with my new Legacy with Eyesight Safety feature. This is my 3rd experience with Curry Subaru and my 3rd Legacy Sedan with the All Weather package. Now we are a TWO Legacy family, and my job is done. My son has received his Legacy from me, in advance. I cannot speak highly enough about working with Marc. As I said above: Patient, Professional, not Pushy. But more than that, Marc is thorough, available, approachable and more. (Yes, the post-it notes in the driver's manual show all that). Through the years, from my black 2005 turbo, to my gorgeous 2011 Golden Brown/Bronze sedan, to my current beloved back seat driver Extra Safety Model: "Mom" for short, I have enjoyed dealing with the Finance Team, the Service Team: (All unsung heroes: Go Nancy Fiducia! and everyone.), and now, with Marc. What a ride!

I really enjoy almost everything about the car. It drives well, good features, good mileage for AWD. I wish the body was not so low to the ground ( easy to scrape on curbs etc ) but I want a sedan and it seems all sedans now are low like this one nowadays.

Hello, Because of the conditions of our roads in Westchester I was looking for a car that could keep up with the latest "pot holes". When I asked around one place and name kept coming up on a consistent basis. Everyone said to go to Stamford Subaru. When I did go I was introduced to Robert Fuch, and boy was I glad I spoke to him. He did not pressure me or my family in any way, and his professionalism is top notch. He takes his time and tries to understand your needs and what you expect from the car. He is a wonderful person to know and to have dealt with. Yes his recommendation on which type of car for my family and me was 100% dead on. We have already taken one mini-vacation (3 days) in the car and it drove and handled the road like a dream, just like he said it would. I am looking forward to take a 2-week driving vacation in 8 weeks in the car. If you are looking for a car and asked me whom I would buy my next car from I would not hesitate to say STAMFORD SUBARU and see ROBERT FUCH! I have 2-pinched nerves in the center of my back so a car ride anywhere is a new degree of pain. I explained the type of ride my back needs, the type of family car we need and he suggested and explained to me what type of car I should try. I suggested another car and he told me why that car would not be a good choice, but said we would try both cars. The ride was several left and rights, and over some bumpy roads.... even 2 potholes, and you know what? NO PAIN! It was the first ride I took that did not require a painkiller when I got out. I was so comfortable in that car that I did not want to try the other car. Since I did not want to test-drive the other car he suggested to just sitting in the other car in the show room to feel the difference on my back. Needless to say he was 100% dead on and I am very happy with my new car.

Excellent car offering high mpg for 4wd(symmetrical). Can’t beat a Subaru on this! Previously owned a Legacy GT and after many miles, went back for another, (minus the turbo).
