I say this car is very nice mine has 283,000 miles and still wants to run but the only issue is 02 sensor but even with that problem man it's still one hell of a vehicle

This is the car I drive the most often. I have driven this car in all kinds of environments, including in someone else's yard when I made the mistake of taking a turn too fast. My family bought this car for under 2000 used, and it's been worth every penny. Ours doesn't have AC anymore, nor does it have any of the bells and whistles. This car has never let me down, and I doubt that it will. This is the perfect car.

I bought this vehicle brand new for my 50th, and yes, it almost has a personality. I trust my Subaru unconditionally and I plan to drive for many more years.

I have owned all 5 gens, currently own an 01(SF), 07(SG), and a 20(SK). My favorite is my SG slowly becoming the SF. Since, they are all prone to similar issues. It is a little easier to own the same style of vehicle.

We stopped the Corwin Lot a few weeks ago looking for an AWD vehicle with some extra space. Jared showed us a nicely finished Traverse with low miles. We were on our way home 170 miles away and told Jared we'd think about it for awhile. Jared kept in contact w/o any pressure just to see if we had any questions or if we were interested in something different. After some clarification we agreed on a price and that we'd pick it up on the day before Thanksgiving. We bought it "as is" w/o warranty. Later that evening, when the instrument cluster is well lit, we noticed a check engine light was on and then later the Auto-Start failed to work. I stopped by Fri morning to see Jared, and he took it for a drive and just told me to sit back and have some coffee while he looked into it. Despite being a very busy post-holiday Friday he got it right into the shop w/o an appt and they dug into the issue and repaired it right away and covered the whole cost of labor and parts. I bought a 2010 legacy, with 209,000 on it and I've taken it on a couple of trips for over 5 hours a piece and it's a reliable and sturdy car, love the design as well, love subarus and I'm from Vermont so I consider AWD essential, doesn't ride like a tin can, would buy another one for sure.

*this is the Legacy L Special Edition, not the base trim Lots of positive things to say about this car, with only a few minor negatives. Pros: -EXCELLENT in the snow, rain, etc given the very well performing AWD, which is superior to all other AWD systems. -Easy to drive, easy to service (oil drain plug points forwards, very easy and simple to access) -good interior -- all added features have no issues (eg heated seats, power windows, etc) -good visibility and control -gas mileage is fairly good. Not as good as say, a Honda Civic, but much better than other cars in this class or larger sedans. -Put 30,000 kms since bought (used) with no problems other than regular maintenance Cons: -comfortable overall, but suited for persons of average height or less -automatic drive shifter is annoying to shift into drive -no auxiliary adapter -- built in sound system is not great (unless upgraded) -you have to push the fob button at least twice to unlock the back doors Neutrals: -accelerator pedal (on automatics) increases speed based on how quickly you push the pedal, as opposed to how hard you push it. This is something to get used to, as, if you are trying to access maximum power by pushing the pedal really hard, it won't make the car rev harder. Most cars don't work this way and it gives the illusion that this car is under-powered. However, I assure you, if you push the pedal quickly and allow it to rev fully to 6,000 rpm, it has adequate power.

Amazing car! Bought it with about 92k miles on it almost a year ago. Great reliability so far, no issues at all. Very well maintained, my only issue is that it doesn't have Bluetooth, which, I know, it's a minor thing, but my old car had it (2013 base Subaru Forester, -10/10 do not recommend). The Legacy still drives like brand new, and is very comfortable on the highway and backroads. Decent gas mileage for the age, averaging around 25 in the city and 32/35 on the highway. No issues with the CVT, either. Not even showing signs of wear, after more than 10 years and 100k miles! Built to last!

Purchased this car used in 2023. Right from the start had issues with the A/C compressor. It went out and I had it replaced with a used one to save a bit and it immediately went out again after a week. Mistakenly, I had an another used compressor put in and it proceeded to essentially blow up and damage my battery and belts. I guess there is an issue with the part for this model year. Otherwise I have not had any crazy issues other than regular maintenance costs. I absolutely love this car for its storage ability. It's small enough to handle city driving and small parking spots, but large enough to fit everything you need to carry. I fit all of my furniture and belongings in this car when moving. As for comfort, the heated seats are a great feature, however, I do find the seats gets quite uncomfortable after driving for more than a few hours. I drive this car back and forth to work daily and have no problem with its performance. Gets pretty good gas mileage for mostly city trips (24mpg). You can feel each and every bump that this car goes over, but it's not anything unbearable.

I owned my Tribeca for for years and only had wear and tear issues. The car always started even on the coldest days engine is quiet and the transmission shifts smoothly. The only problem was the rear differential temp light would come on but that is a common sensor issue. The Tribeca is great for a fist time car.

this car is probably the best we've ever owned ( or in the top 2! ). It comes standard with so many different options. No need to add much equipment to it. Subaru reliability is second to none. When you look for a new car, check out the Subaru lineup. You won't be disappointed! JM

I brought this car November of last year for 450 cash never had a problem had to change some sensors that'sbout it but I'm gonna fIx it up don't plan on buying another car for years I left a 2003 chevy Malibu After the motor went that I will never buy that brand again ever bad experience

I drove my '08 Legacy for years and was so sad when she was totaled at 125k miles. She would've gone another 125k if she could've! I would highly recommend, especially for tall drivers like me because of the headroom. No major maintenance until about 110k when I had to replace the timing belt, radiator, power steering pump/hose, drive belts, etc., but the original head gasket stayed in great shape. She never left me stranded and I loved her. Super cool car, very reliable, practical, smooth ride with AWD and good looking, so sad she's gone!

This vehicle was purchased for me by my dad. He went thru Lyman Motors. They did an engine rebuild on this vehicle. So, even though its 15 years old, and has quite a few miles, it was for a fair price! And, with the engine rebuilt I know it will go for another 100k miles easy! Lyman made this buying experience so much fun for us! He is such a wondering person! This is a terrific car for someone who wants a reliable, economical car that's great in snow and ice, and gets excellent gas milage. To help maximize your mpg just watch the dashboard meter that tells you when you're getting the best mpg possible. If you're not (like the reviewer who said he got only 18 mpg) then you're driving too fast and you can't blame the car for that! I love my Subaru!

A Dodge Ram truck hit my 2011 Legacy w/ such force that I was pushed 20’, and over a curb before hitting a metal pole and ending up on my side, but I was not injured. My seatbelt kept me safe.

This car met my daily needs my car is clean just has a complete detail inside and out including my engine. It is depended and sporty.

I love my 2004 Impreza Outback Sport. It’s safe, spacious, and does all that I ask it to. Great in the snow and a blast on curvy backroads. Handles great. The only modification I’ve done is that I’ve put 2.5rs / WRX 5 spoke alloys on it. Same size as the original so no change in performance. This would make a great first car too.
