This is my third Subaru Forrester. I like the newer safety features and ease of handling. The size is perfect for me, not too small or too big! I would recommend if you’re looking for a midsize vehicle.

I had to make a 5 1/2 hour drive recently and loved how smoothly my car drove, especially using cruise control with “eyesight” so it slowed when I was too close to the car in front of me. I couldn’t even feel it; I watched the speedometer. Love the safety features and extras like seat warmers and large sunroof.

Turn signals do not have a loud sound. They are very low My 2016 Outback has nice loud turn signals. You cannot turn your radio off. The only way not to hear it is to put the sound real low. Two major complaints I have

I have owned my 2017 Forester since late 2016. Except for normal maintenance I've had no problems with thr vehicle. All of the warning systems work very well,they have saved me from accidents numerous times. The automatic seat repositioning when some one else has used my is really handy eliminates all the adjusting needed to get the position back to my needs. Traction and controll during winter and bad weather are excellent. My forrester get used like a truck at times. Great overall car.

I recently had my car stolen and totaled. I actually work for the dealership and enjoy the work I do with the company. Mr krohn has been helping me out for the past month and a half with a car. It has been difficult but with the patience and time he has given my mom and I, I could not be more grateful for him! He worked with my mom and I till the very end and has been nothing but helpful. I ended up getting a 2019 subaru forester. Lots of room and a perfect vehicle into the middle of my adult life. I hope this car lasts me through the next few years. These reviews are so surprising. It seems the newer cars are treated better than the older models, which is not good. I bought my Accent at Alexandria Hyundai, used, but not serioiusly (4,000) miles. Each appointment was different as far as customer service. Sometimes it was ready early, sometimes much later than promised, and other times right on time. The trick is not to leave a message with the receptionist or someone else in maintenance. Go right to the dealership manager. If they are not available right then, ask again and again to see the manager until you see them. Remember this is Covid-19 season. All services are delayed or forgotten from time to time. Services are overbooked and tempers are frayed. As far as MY Accent? Everything was taken care of, I got phone calls, the manager was so helpful and I will be replacing my Accent within the year for a newer model. I bought my beautiful 2007 light blue car with 4,000 miles. I now have 104,044 miles and the car runs like a champ! I've gotten major, expected repairs done on time and oil changes faithfully.. Don't give up on Alexandria Hyundai. Just know who to talk to. Like any other business. You'll get more accomplished with the Managers. If not, change dealers - just make sure to give them a chance to make it better. Happy New Year!

Great value considering the superior safety features, low maintenance and reliability. Rear wheel bearings have been replaced twice and just had the AC compressor and serpentine belt replaced. Albeit expensive repairs, all cars need something after the first 3 years. It's been 8 years and the car still run and drives like new.

Overall experience was great, Sammy and Joel were super helpful but finance guy took so long with previous client, I almost walked away.

LOVE this car, maybe a little biased since this is my 5th Forester, my 2nd Wilderness. My first Wilderness was totaled in a head-on collision when a young driver spilled coffee and veered into my lane and struck me head-on. That was my 1st Subaru Forester Wilderness and IT SAVED MY LIFE. Full curtain all-around airbag deployment with a roll, the Wilderness coming to rest on it's right side, me still strapped into seatbelt, and the Subaru automatic crash notification with a live person on the speakers asking me if I was ok and needed 911! Smoke still coming from the airbag deployments, and there is a live person coming over the speakers asking me if I'm ok. It was surreal. SUBARU FORESTER WILDERNESS SAVED MY LIFE! TYVM Subaru! LOVE this car! Gets 25+ MPG with conservative driving, a great ride and suspension, superior traction in mud and snow, load-out practically anything/rack bikes (or whatever on the roof racks), sleep in the back with ample room, superior rear-gate lift mechanism with memory, seats super-comfortable and easily adjustable, solid rear-seat leg-room, easy rear-seat fold-downs for massive cargo area that takes my full HVAC tool load-out for servicing ice baths all over the NorthEast US. A great value, especially CPO with +10K mileage (vs. new) MONEY WELL SPENT! SUBARU FOR LIFE

My car was stolen and destroyed, and I was left without transportation. This was devastating to me, but I had to keep it moving as life does not wait so, I had to look for new transportation. I ended up at Alexandria Toyota. Never in my life have I met so many nice and wonderful people in one place and never has such a huge process been so easy! The manager, the finance team and all the salespeople were all just top notch, and I am so glad I chose them to help me start a new chapter in my life! Other than battery replacement , car has been amazing ! 1 exception cup holders are located too far aft and require driver to look down to locate cup without removing eyes from road ! This issue has been partially addressed in later years by offsetting passengers holder slightly forward of drivers, but still awkward position ! both should be more forward nearer to dash !

I’ve owned this car for about 18 months. It has I bought it new and it now has about 17,000 miles on it. I love driving it. The safety features are excellent! The performance is good. I’m getting around 32 MPG for all around driving. I have the car maintained at the dealership and haven’t had any mechanical issues. I would definitely recommend this car.

I am buying a used car after 8 years, and this was great experience. No haggle is what I care. I was not forced to buy GAP insurance or anything else. The only complaint is, the lady taking down payment at the cashier was hesitant to tell me the details of the transactions before making a payment and showing attitude, but everyone else was great. I highly recommend this carmax.

I purchased the 2023 Wilderness trim in August and I chose it because I live in a very snowy and mountainous area. I certainly needed an upgrade from my trusty 2wd, low-clearance hatchback. I can watch the season change with more peace of mind with its high clearance, AWD and features like Starlink and X-mode ready to step in when called upon. I’m a huge fan of the vehicle’s exterior styling and the interior feels luxurious and durable. The cabin is well-insulated from engine and road noise. One drawback is that the sound system lacks depth even with the base turned all the way up (I don’t have the Harmon Kardon stereo option). I’ve never owned a car with a sunroof before and I love letting in extra daylight and looking up at the cliffs and trees during stops so I can’t imagine life without it, now. Even the low beam headlights provide clear-as-day visibility on the darkest nights, but I’d be worried about blinding other drivers so I’d give more follow distance. Many reviewers seem dissatisfied with its acceleration, but it hasn’t felt underpowered to me and I drive a Chevy Suburban for work. It feels like I’m barely touching the accelerator to cruise up steep grades, but I’m a leisurely driver so my expectations differ. :)

2023 Subaru Outback Limited XT. A great station wagon (it’s not really a SUV). Comfortable leather seats, smooth ride and extremely quick with the turbo. If you don’t need seating for eight, you have no need for the Ascent. Same engine and cargo capacity and ground clearance, lower to the ground, faster, better handling and several thousand dollars cheaper. Standard all wheel drive. Full safety suite. 11.6” infotainment system is really closer to 8” as the climate control takes the additional 3.6”. The Harmon Kardon sound system will blow your doors off. Good in car navigation. Wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Hands free tailgate. 0-60 in 5.8 on regular gas. Standard roof rails. Even has heated outboard rear seats. If you’re considering a midsize or smaller SUV you owe it to yourself to drive this first.

I recently purchased a car at Vins. I did a lot of research and went to many dealerships. The atmosphere at Vins is very professional. I think for the most part, I like my car. I have had a couple issues, one of them is probably not the cars fault, (but seeing other people have the same issue, it makes me wonder) I now have 50k miles on it and in that time I have only had to replace the battery and tires, to be expected on a 6 year old car. (and windshield) The windshield is the questionable item. It seemed to crack out of nowhere and I thought I must have gotten a small rock chip while driving down the highway and just didn't see it until it started to crack. So I replaced it at a cost of almost $1000. However, I am on an Outback form and it seems to be a common complaint with outback owners of this year, having the windshield crack out of nowhere. Could it be the frame design? Maybe, but it does seem suspicious that others have had the same issue. One other problem I have had is if I let my car sit unused for like 5 days, the battery goes completely dead. There seems to be a parasitic drain somewhere on the car. It doesn't happen if I drive it every day, but if it sits for about 5 days unused, the battery goes completely dead. I have read it has something to do with the DCS system in the car, but you have to pay the dealer a diagnostic fee to verify. I drive it enough I have not gotten it checked, but next time I am at the dealer I am going to ask them about it.

I am in my seventies and didn't want to buy new so i I looked at over twenty used vehicles during my search. This Subaru Outback was the best driving vehicle of all that I tried. My experience at Boucher Ford in Janesville was fantastic. I was treated like a true customer with respect and caring for my needs.

Decided to leave this review, I have read lots of horror stories on Google/Reddit about bad car dealers and seen enough advice videos on YouTube on how to deal with slimy car dealers that you start believing there aren’t any good dealers out there. Now I cannot vouch for everyone, but I can say my experience with Alexandria Hyundai was pleasant and professional. I had been looking for a Certified Hyundai Palisade for a while which was less than 2 years old with less than 20K miles and I found one listed at Alexandria Hyundai. It was a 2024 with ~13K miles. The listed price was very close to what I would consider fair and within my budget. I emailed their Certified Pre-Owned team and was surprised to receive a quick response. Interestingly there was no attempt to force me into a phone call. They at no point asked me my phone number and ware happy to answer my questions and then provide a "out the door" price (After I had provided some of my details for them to calculate TAX/Registration etc.). I would like to point out that my search was extended 200Mile from my zip code and Alexandria Hyundai was on the edge of that 200 Miles. I am based in NJ and they are in VA. The quote they provided had no surprise additional costs, just the Price of the Car as on the website, TAX, Title/Registration and Documentation fees. They indicated they were not looking to haggle, but they were only slightly of the number I was looking for. I let them know that I was very motivated to close the deal, and they did move slightly to meet my budget. Their prices don't leave a lot of room for haggling, which is always good. I wanted to be certain that they would be honoring this quote as I needed to travel 200Mile to pick up the car and they confirm that, and they did honor it !! :) I ended up using my own financing, they tried to get me a better number, but my Credit Union had pre-approved me for a better rate. Here too I would like to point out, there were no pressure tactics; no last minute pressure to buy expensive extended warranty. An extended warranty was offered to me, but it was entirely my choice. Overall, I would say to some extent my faith in humanity is restored (At least I have utmost faith in Alexandria Hyundai). I would personally like to thank Eduardo Pozo who was patient with me and answered all my questions and was always quick to respond on email. I would also like to thank Peter Kim (Finance Manager) who helped me close the deal and had me out of the dealership in under 2 hrs. on a rainy Saturday. I would wholeheartedly recommend Alexandria Hyundai and their team!!

a very good car that we kept for 5 years and sold at 64K miles. Bought an other Subaru Outback, 2025 model, but with the turbo enginr as I found the 2.4l engine a little sluggish.

I went in with a friend to help her find a car after a terrible experience at another nearby dealership. We called ahead to see if the car was in stock and Maks was polite, knowledgeable, and helpful right off the bat. When we arrived at the dealership Maks was patient and genuinely listened to what we were looking for. It was a great experience for everyone and we were able to work out a great deal. I’ll also add the finance department was wonderful as well - clearly explained all options and wasn’t pushy about extras. Would recommend Maks to anyone looking to buy a Kia!

Got a '22 Touring XT. I knew the base engine was pathetic so I wanted the turbo. Gladly sacrifice some MPG for way more power. They shouldn't even offer the base engine on this car. Anyway, after 44k miles it's running like a champ. Absolutely no issues with the electronics (a few minor glitches here and there but nothing to take to the dealer for), CVT is fine, engine is fine, the AWD is second to none! Plowed right through a 15" blizzard through Kansas City like it was nothing. My biggest gripe are the squeaks and rattles. Highly annoying. My '17 Chevy Colorado with 64k miles is tighter and quieter. Cargo space is top notch, I have a bad back so getting in and out of a taller vehicle is much easier. But there is just too much tech and driver assistance, Subaru needs to tone it down a little. I still prefer to actually DRIVE my car, not have the car drive me. Overall I'm still happy with it.

Being disabled I was in the market for an accessible vehicle. With its wide doors and higher than average door and ride height coupled with a robust seat I was impressed with the level of ease and comfort while driving. It wasnt until a mishap sent me into a curb and then to a body shop. I got a rental....a higher end domestic SUV....it was at that moment I truly appreciated and sorely missed the build, ride ,performance and overall quality of my outback. I only have one negative thing to say about the outback and its the CVT....its the worst! Its the only weak link in an otherwise perfect vehicle. Subaru please reconsider and offer the outback with a standard transmission as a special order option.... I for one would be willing to pay extra for it.

I have a 2020 Subaru Outback Touring 2.4L turbo model, the fully-loaded, most expensive model. It replaced a 2011 standard Outback with a 2.5L engine and manual transmission. My only criticism is poor gas mileage, about 23-24 mpg versus the 2011's 28.2 average over more than 100K miles. I like the power (260 HP) but might have forgone the turbo had I anticipated the unimpressive mileage. My 2001 Audi Q5, with a 260 HP 2.0L turbo engine, averages 28+ mpg, but cost $10K more than my Subaru. I rationalize by recognizing that $10K will buy a lot of gasoline.

I brought my SUV from another dealership (not even one of their brands) in for service on what I knew was going to be an expensive bit of work. The service team was fantastic from start to finish. Communication was consistent and complete. They managed my expectations as they related to time and budget and delivered in my favor on both. Last November I drove my 2018 Outback Premium (which I loved) to the local dealer to test drive a 2025 Limited XT and get the complimentary $50 Visa card they were promoting at the time, and ended up driving back in the new XT. Following are my impressions after 10 months of ownership. We're big fans of Subaru's safety tech. My wife's car is a 2023 Forester, and the Reverse Automatic Braking has saved her from at least one accident. Her previous car was a 2021 Hyundai Tucson, and its reverse sensors seemed like they never worked. If safety is a priority, you won't find many manufacturers that beat Subaru (same for their all wheel drive system). The newer generation EyeSight system is superior to the 2018's. I would commonly turn off the Pre-Collision Braking on the 2018 (which was easy with the physical switch unlike the virtual switch accessible only through the head unit on the 2025) since I found it to be oversensitive when I was following someone making a right turn. The 2018 would prematurely brake which I feared could lead to being rear ended. My 2025 does not have the same issue, and while it has given me a blinking/beeping warning in the dash display in similar situations, it has not started actually braking like the 2018. For me, I have found I only get warnings from the car when my driving actually warrants it. The extra power of the 2.4L turbo (XT) was a big selling point, although I feel it's not mated to the CVT as well as the non-turbo 2.5L. There is noticeable throttle lag with the XT which you have to get used to, but man, it really moves after that momentary lag. I never found my 2018 non-turbo to be underpowered, but I definitely love the extra punch of the turbo. One of my biggest hesitancies with the 2025 was all the touchscreen buttons/menus of the head unit, but the joy of driving the car has softened my annoyance. Since I don't feel the need to shut off any safety features, I never have to look for them in the head unit menus. When I start the car, I only turn off the auto start/stop with the dedicated button at the bottom of the screen and wait the usual 20-30 seconds for the head unit to fully boot up giving the turbo/engine time to get lubricated before I put her into drive. I'm a big fan of wireless Android Auto and have found it to be very stable (and much better than the wireless dongles I tried with the 2018). I use the automatic climate control 99% of the time, so I don't miss the physical buttons and knobs in the dash (all I need are temperature up/down which ARE physical buttons). It's a great cruising vehicle with a great ride, and I look forward to packing the family inside for extended road trips. I'm happy we have the last year of the "wagon" generation of Outbacks and plan to keep it for many enjoyable miles.
