Would have been 5 stars if they honored a promise
April 24, 2018
It's a shame I couldn't give PBT a 5-Star review here across the board. Most everyone I dealt with was polite and attempted to be helpful; however, it seems like it's just the same ol' used car sales stereotype with this dealership.
First of all, the price listed on Cars.com was NOT the price offered. The $1,000 Dealer Fee seemed a little pricey on an 8 year old vehicle. I went back and forth with the salesman and the sales manager to try and negotiate and promises were made that the dealership could not followed-up on.
The car had a large key scratch in the hood, along with a few other minor paint issues. The salesman said that their detailer could easily repair these. When negotiating the final cost of the vehicle, the sales manager said that they would fix these scratches but kept on an additional $300 to the cost to do so. I have now brought the vehicle back twice to have these repairs done, and after the last visit the salesman has told me there was nothing they could do. I know it's just cosmetic, and yes I bought the vehicle "as is", but don't make a promise you're not sure you can keep.
The low rating on the buying process is because it took nearly 6 hours, once I agreed to make the purchase, to complete the process.
I will say, the service department is top-notch and go above and beyond to be helpful. Like I said, earlier, it's a shame I couldn't give this dealership's sales department a better review.
