Normally I hate shopping for a car but this time I was pleasantly surprised. The process was lengthy but because it kept moving and the sales and finance people didn’t play games, I didn’t even notice. Kudos to salesman Christian Hodges and finance rep Richard Todd!

Did not buy the vehicle but they will be top dealership on my list when I'm ready to make an offer, solely for the salesperson's professionalism.

Toyota of Thousand Oaks really has their stuff together. I inquired via internet, set-up an appointment, and the whole process was very easy and didn't take forever. They provided me with a quality car, price was right, and financing was a breeze. Not to mention the staff was very friendly and treated me right.
I only stopped here to look at a car we were interested in and in 5 minutes, Cliff was suggesting a price to me without asking that usually takes a couple hours of negotiating to get. And then since I was out of state, they offered to lower the price more to make up for the extra taxes I'd have to pay buying in california. I went back the next day and bought exactly what we wanted at an amazing price and they had to get it at another dealership so we didn't have to settle with what was on their lot. I'd have to say that they proved they wanted our business the right way, getting me the car we really wanted at a price we didn't expect. See Cliff if you want a good experience.
I purchased a used 2009 Honda Civic LX from this dealership and as soon as I hit the lot a sales rep by the name of Mark lee came out to greet myself and my father. We chatted and I had told him I had my heart set on the 09 Civic that I saw the ad on cars.com. Mark immediately grabbed the keys and showed me the vehicle and let me take her for a spin. The vehicle was in pristine condition and I instantly fell in love with it. After a long negotiating process Mark and his father Cliff (who is the manager there) were able get the deal done at the price I had exactly wanted. I usually walk out of a dealership where I felt I had been ripped but the FIRST time in my life I walked out of there feeling confident I got a great deal on a great car. Let me start by saying I was at another dealership looking around for a new lease and had a horrific experience. The kind that you see in movies and hear from your coworkers. She started at some ridiculous price then after two trips of her ???talking to her manager??? she was able to get to the price that was advertised online. My wife and I then frantically started calling friends and family and asking for a referral of someone trustworthy and good at his or her job.... Cut to us meeting Steve at Hamer Toyota. Folks, there is a reason he had been doing this 27 years, and it isn???t because of him ???needing to talk to his manager??? or any other sleezy sales tactics. We stated what we wanted and after Steve showed us the car he told us that he would get us the best price he could do. He walked us through the breakdown step by step and got us the car for less than I had originally anticipated. I can???t reiterate this enough...Go See Steve! I???m truly thankful for his help with our new car.
It is a pleasure to do business with Steve. He is the man of his word. Add to it his knowledge and experience and you get a salesperson of your dream, who values your time and respects you. This quality created trust between us. That is why I come back to him when my previous lease expired. Steve's great! This is the second time I had gone to him about buying a car. This time, I went in to purchase a car for my mom and I would have to say she is more than satisfied with her car purchase. The service provided by Steve was great especially towards my mother. He says he does not have much patience. I think he does cuz my mother is a little demanding at times. In addition, I believe he has a tremendous respect for the people who are really interested in purchasing a car.
