Service work for my 1998 Toyota 4runner
November 5, 2018
I took my 98 4runner in 6/6/16 to get my timing belt, water pump, and drive belt replaced. I dropped it off around 4pm and was told i should have it back the next day. I also asked the service consultant if the technician can inspect my shocks and struts since the ride felt a bit harsh going over bumps. The following day I get a call with an update on the work and the service consultant stated the technician found an issue with the thermostat and should/needed to get replaced. I authorized that in addition to the other work. He also stated that the technician inspected the shocks and struts and stated they seem to be ok still. I called called back later on 6/7/16 to add a last minute request of a wheel alignment since they had a special going on. Even with the last minute requests I still Recieved my vehicle back in a timely manner. Also, to elaborate about the harsh ride I felt, I was already planning on replacing my tires (independent retailer), because they were pretty worn down. When I got new tires, my ride quality improved alot. I no longer felt the ride harsh as much as I did before. I'm amazed at the honestly that the toyota technician and services department displayed because they saved me from spending money on new shocks and struts at this time. I do want to replace them soon but that wasn't in my budget at that time and hearing that my current ones were still ok was a relief. Thanks you Elmhurst Toyota.
