The folks at this business "get it". There is no pressure to purchase, everyone's knowledge base is impressive and they go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. I have been purchasing cars for over 40 years and I have never met a better group of folks at a dealership. I drove over 4 hours to look at the vehicle that I ended up purchasing but my impression of the folks at this business would be the same even if I had not bought the vehicle. When I am in the market again I will give them a first look despite the driving distance. If you are local I would certainly give them a shot. The facility may not be terribly impressive to look at but the buying experience is truly first class.
When I arrived at the dealership I was greeted by Jason Tate who was just finishing up with another customer. He was good and he was thorough. He was also probably juggling 3,4 customer at a time so there were some lulls and waits. Overall decent experience.
I did get the car I wanted but there was little budging on the price. Paid around $700-$1000 above the NADA suggested retail for the vehicle in excellent shape.
Also beware, their doc fee is $599. Around $200-$300 more than some of the other dealers I went to see. And there is no budging on that either. They were adament about that as well.
It appeared they had a very good inventory of vehicles and a wide variety of them too.
My situation is probably unique, but I filled out an online form requesting they help me look for a 2009 Honda Fit. I submitted it on Wednesday, heard from Jay (salesman extraordinaire!) that night, and then by Friday, drove home with the exact car I asked for. That goes to show that University Ford is willing to move fast to get you in the car you want. They're also diligent about checking email and online request forms, so for those of us who deal best in the "virtual world," that's a major plus. They made the entire buying process as straight forward and painless as possible. Just an all around positive experience. I highly recommend dropping in to see Jay and the rest of the team (it's a small operation, which is also a plus in my book). I will definitely recommend them to friends and use them again someday.
Recently we purchased a Ford Expedition at Impex. Nasser was not high pressure and did what was necessary to make sure we were happy. The entire buying process was easy and very pleasant. I felt comfortable throughout the entire experience. What I also like about Impex is that they offer amazing and AFFORDABLE warranty packages on their vehicles. I chose the platinum option which gives me free oils changes, mechanical maintenance, tire maintenance (for 2 years) and GAP insurance (for the duration of my financing terms)! I am a senior college student that was in need of a good first time reliable car. That was of course in a great price range. After visiting several dealerships. This dealership deserves more than just 5 stars. Everyone working in this dealership were so nice and friendly. Especially my sales man he turned a nervous point of me hoping to just find a great vehicle. To a exciting moment of staying positive with me throughout my whole process and helping me get into a car that fits my personality. I would recommend this dealership to anyone in need of a car. I strongly believe this dealership will work with you and try their hardest to get you into a car to make your dreams come true.
Purchase will ultimately be about $200 more than the listed price after I pay VA tax, title and tag fees. Don't know if that has to do with me being a VA buyer purchasing in NC or not. Regardless the vehicle is great and just what I was looking for at the price range I needed. Their office mascot Cooper the Basset Hound will show you around the place. Everyone was super nice and I appreciate that very much. Just waiting on title to come in the mail so I can finalize everything.
