We went to Rydell's looking for a used pickup. We were met by Dawn who was a sales representitive. She was most cordial and attentively listeded to what we were looking for in a pickup. She made suggestions and arranged for test drives.
The experience with Dawn and Rydells was most pleasing and enjoyable. Yes, we did make our purchase from Rydells that day.
We were in the market for a mini-van. We came across a price that could not be real for the vehicle being advertised. They simply beat everyone. After speaking with John, we drove 4 hours. The customer service was great and they stood behind what was advertised. Excellent experience.

Wow, if you get a chance and shopping for a car, give this place a try. John Alsteen was honest and very helpful. Not only that, a huge supporter of victims of domestic violence. I saw this first hand as they assisted this person, walked her through the process, explained what everything meant and got her a great deal to get her back on her feet in a car she could truly afford WITHOUT pushing anything more.
The lobby was clean and had a variety of complimentary drinks. I was most happy they had a keurig with an option of dark hot chocolate and not just coffee as I waited. Thank you Meister Imports John (and Scott) for being there and truly listening to your customer's. A good hometown feel appeal than just a standards car salesman.
I am so impressed by true professionalism at this service center. I have trust in their suggestions. From the scheduling of my serivce to discussion about repairs, these huys clearly know how to get the job done!
Doug - the Sales Manager, was professional and worked really hard to get us exactly the car we wanted. He was not high pressure, and was honest in what he could provide us in terms of timing and cost. Jose (salesman) followed up and provided excellent after purchase guidance and explanation of the CRV features.
Ask for Dane. If you tell him Chris sent you, he will laugh - because truth be told I am not a typical customer and I ran him through the ringer buying my GT plugin hybrid Outlander. Although born here, Dane spent a lot of time on the East Coast and thus comes across as an East Coast "car salesman" EXCEPT for some critical differences:
1) He not only knows what he's talking about when describing these amazing hybrid 4x4s but knows when there is something he does not know....and is thus open to learning more from customers. He also fully admits the cars shortcomings. It is easy to underestimate how critical this is in a salesperson when one is considering such a huge purchase.
2) Honesty and trust lead to successful deals. They also lead to successful after-sales relationships. No matter the issue, Dane - and by extension Younkers - was there months after the sale was completed. Every time I return - even for merely getting the license plates attached or asking weird questions - Dane answered back immediately, politely and enthusiastically. "Car salesperson" is not an easy job. They don't make much $ and are some of the most maligned workers in this country. They work long hours and put up with customers suspicious of them before even meeting them. Dane handled that role very well. He's a "real" person who I found easy to trust and the kind of guy you could call a friend after the deal. The overall experience at Younkers was very laid back, easy and commendable.
Had a very good car buying experience with sales man, Jon Pinardi. Not pushy. Just answered questions promptly and politely. He even picked me up at home the morning the car was ready (the dealership put snow tires on for us) and drove me to the dealership, which is over an hour away over a mountain pass. He very patiently explained all of the various features and controls of our new Outback, including using the paddle-controlled manual transmission for safely traversing the downhill side of said pass, of which Jon has years of driving experience. Highly recommend Jon. The dealership did try to up-sell me an expensive extended warranty in a little room with door closed, but this only lasted a few minutes and was the only negative to my purchase experience.
I would like to commend Fort Wayne Toyota service dept. for their professional assistance repairing my 2016 Tacoma. The master Tech, service advisors, service mgr., rental/loaner person all were very helpful and made my experience worry free.
Great job men and women.
I cannot say enough good things about this dealership. They are a no frills organization so you do not get things like carfax reports or a full tank of gas, but you do get hard to beat fair pricing and a great car. I pulled my own carfax report and it came back clean. The car was exactly as described by AJ, so I knew what BEFORE I got there. I will definitely be calling AJ for all future used car purchases.
