Colonial Volkswagen Review
Highly recommend

I had a really outstanding experience with Colonial Volkswagen of Westborough. I live in NH and had been thinking about getting a new car recently to replace my 2008 Eos Lux. I didn't realize they didn't make the Eos anymore, so then I started thinking about a beetle convertible and I came across the Beetle Denim that was just released recently. I only buy white cars and I love convertibles so it seemed like a good fit. I did an Internet search and ended up on truecar.com, and from there I chose the car I wanted, and from there it led me to Colonial Volkswagen of Westborough. Truecar also gave me the best price for the car with no haggling. Rebecca Cunningham from Colonial Volkswagen contacted me via email immediately after I submitted my inquiry and asked for my VIN and pictures of my Eos, gave me a ballpark price for a trade, I then scheduled a test drive. We decided to go Monday at 7PM. As soon as we got there Pierre Saliba was waiting for us so that we could test drive the car. He pulled the car up, put the top down, took a copy of my license, and we then got in and went for a test drive in the area. Pierre was a very nice guy and very easy to work with. He was very knowlegable about Volkswagens and he knew the area very well. When our test drive was over we went back to the dealer and gave them my Eos key so that they could appraise my car for a possible trade. That took maybe 10 minutes for them to come back with a price. I knew the value of my car and the bottom price that I wanted for my car for a trade, and I didn't want to go below that because I knew I could sell it relatively quick. After a few times times going back-and-forth and meeting with a manager, Eric Hofer, we agreed to a trade price, and the price for the new car, and after thinking about it a few minutes I decided to make the deal. The Truecar price didn't include any of the extra options the car had, so those did have to be added to the online quote, but Truecar also gives a discount on the options if you add them to the quote. That was the price I paid and no haggling was needed because it was a very good price. After speaking with finance (Kathryn Gear-very nice) and getting all the paperwork done we were out of there by 8:45 PM. Since I live in NH, they had to drive the car to me and meet me at my Townhall to register the car. They did this on Wednesday afternoon. Tuesday they had to detail the car and also put on the Simoniz Glasscoat that I had purchased. One of their car runners, BilI Thomas, brought the car to my townhall on Wednesday afternoon at noon, he went in with me to do all the paperwork, and exchanged the car license plates. I then asked him if he could take a couple pictures of me with my old car and my new car. He took several. Bill was a very friendly and very nice guy. I then drove the car home and I called Pierre and he asked me to call him after I got out of work and when I was in my car so he could go over some of the features. Around 4:30 I called Pierre and he also went in a Beetle and he went over a lot of the features in my car. It was very helpful! He then told me I could call him anytime I have any questions about my car. Such a nice guy! My husband came home a couple hours later and noticed a ding on one of the fender sides -my heart sank! I sent Pierre a picture of the ding and he called me right away and said they would fix it and not to worry. They sent someone to fix it this week and now it's back to new! I can't say enough good things about this dealership and their employees. I highly recommend!

Going good so far!

I was looking for a car that was reliable and good on gas milage, as due to working 7 days a week I need a constant transport to work. This car filled that and then some. Incredible interior, not too cluttered instrument panel and lots of head and leg room (I'm 6'2 and 350lbs). The seat is a small tiny bit too narrow on the drivers side, but definitely not something I'd subtract anything for given my own size. And just that little bit difficult to get out, but again... not a fault of the vehicle. Quiet too, with very little road noise and engine noise coming into the interior. Very stylish on the outside, even for a small compact car. Clean lines and a classic look with nothing cluttering the front of back like you see on some newer vehicles. All in all, and incredible car. I've only owned it for a few days so far, but they are known for being very reliable and I have yet to have any issues with it. I'm expecting many years of driving to look forward to.

Friendly, Honest, Easy -- Amazing Tiguan Lease :)
by Lily from DealerRater.com

I give my Boston Volkswagen 2016 Tiguan leasing experience 5 stars. I had an amazing experience. I was met only with friendliness, honesty, and a tireless effort to get me the car of my dreams :) I have very little experience with dealerships and was seeking a Volkswagen after a terrible and sketchy experience looking for RAV4s at Copeland Toyota -- whose dealers were not only pushy, dishonest, and trying to rip me off, they also would not give me any specific numbers at all unless I promised them that I would sign for a car that day! I then tried Paul Clark Volkswagen in Brockton -- avoid! They could not even tell me which Tiguan trims came with LEDs or GPS, they offered to lease me a 2013 (?), and the manager openly yelled at his employee right in front of my face. It was extremely uncomfortable. However, after test driving a Tiguan, I knew I had to have one. My friend and I arrived at the clean and modern Boston Volkswagen late on a weekday night determined to lock down a Tiguan (I had already paid for 2 weeks of a rental car by this point) and was greeted by a friendly Bill Burns. He asked me about my budget and openly and honestly explained the price components of the leasing process, including how monthly payments are calculated and what would due at signing, depending on the down payment I elected to put down. He even included tax in the monthly payment price quotes to give me a better idea of what I would actually be paying -- the other dealerships did not do this and had I proceeded with them I could have easily been tricked into something I could not afford. When it came the time to nail down a price, Bill took the time to describe in detail the differences between each trim level and helped me weigh the trim level options according to my priorities and budget. Erick Martinez and Bill were very patient with us as we talked through the pricing. By the time we had discussed everything and came to an agreement, it was more than an hour past the time the dealership was supposed to close -- Bill and Erick were extremely friendly about this and at no point did I feel rushed through the process. I very much appreciated this :) After my credit was run the next morning (as there was no way to run the paperwork that day since I signed it an hour past closing!), it turned out I needed a cosigner. I spoke over the phone with Bill and Al Whelan about this, who were both very nice and encouraging about the situation and didn't make me feel guilty for having below-average credit, or hopeless that I wouldn't be able to get my dream car. After I arranged for a cosigner, I let Al and Bill know that my cosigner is a very busy man and would have a tough time getting to Watertown to sign the documents. I also let them know that by this point I had exceeded the maximum number of extensions on my rental car contract and did not have a means of getting to Watertown myself. This still did not stop them! An arrangement was made for Bill and his colleague to drive my Tiguan (with dealer plates) to my cosigner's workplace and meet us there so that we could sign the final documents, meanwhile Bill's colleague affixed my plates. After the documents were signed, Bill gave me a tour of my dream car which was now mine!! :) I am extremely appreciative of my whole experience at Boston Volkswagen and for the gracious employees I worked with. They got me a great deal on a cute, fun-to-drive, safe car! I had such a great experience that I felt they deserved this length and extent of a review. I would recommend this dealership to anyone (even if you are an hour south of it like I am) :)

My Boyfriend and I came in to look at used Ford Edge (2013) and were welcome by a wonderful salesman by the name of Derek Paquette. He is a very spontaneous and wonderfully helpful, he has made us laugh and joked with us and made us feel very welcome and like we were family. He had the Edge warmed up and prepared when we came in, and was very helpful with answering all our questions. The financial services representative Kathryn was very lovely and helpful, she saved us 16% off of our interest for our car payment and was very happy to do so. She laid everything out and explained it all to us in a way we would understand and it was just over all a fantastic experience. 5/5 will come back! And I would refer anyone looking for friendly, quick and fantastic service to come here.

Carvana Review
Easy easy EASY way to buy a car!
by janders5511 from DealerRater.com

My old car was my third minivan in 15 years. Now that my kids are older and leaving for college, I wanted something that could carry 6 or 7 passengers but was ... well... NOT a minivan. I did some research on late model used three-row SUVs, and found the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. (My favorite of my three vans was a 2005 Nissan Quest, so choosing Nissan was easy for me.) Before I started browsing for cars, I applied for credit through Carvana, and was approved. Next, I entered in all of the information about the van I was trading for the Pathfinder. (Beware -- the trade-in amount is only good for 7 days, and it can change wildly in that time!) I was pleased with the trade amount, and it was great that I could shop for my new car and see my down payment and monthly payment for every car I viewed! My specifications were pretty clear -- AWD, less than 10,000 miles, and never a rental car. I found my dream car a few days later, and started the purchase process. It was quite smooth and the directions were very clear about what documents need to be uploaded. When I went to click on "finalize purchase" (or something like that), a red flag popped up...my trade-in value expired WHILE I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF CHECKING OUT! I got on chat with Carvana staff right away, and they were able to return the trade in value to NEARLY what it was before the expiration. This is something that needs to be addressed by Carvana -- once a customer is to a certain point in the process, those numbers need to be frozen. So we set a delivery time, and the Carvana rep was pretty much on time considering he was traveling 70 miles or so from the Chicago office. Everything was smooth -- signed a couple more papers, took my Pathfinder for a spin, Eric inspected my trade, and I left within 30 minutes with my new car. I would also like to add that I drove directly to my mechanic, so he could inspect the car and make sure I wasn't buying something with hidden damage. Mechanic said to me, "This car is perfect, like new." Just what I wanted to hear. Thanks Carvana! I am telling everyone I know about you guys. Good to work with you! Janet - 2017 Nissan Pathfinder

Stylish, earth-friendly, versatile

Handsome, sporty, highly economical, low-maintenance, good condition--the 2013 VW Golf TDI has so much going for it. Impressive fuel economy ranging from low 40s to 50 MPG (warmer weather) makes this one of the greenest internal combustion cars on the road. The Golf is the perfect size: big enough for our family of three to pack it up for a week-long family driving vacation, and small enough to fit into tight city parking spaces that most cars have to pass up. Acceleration and performance are sporty enough to keep the thrill-seeker in you happy, and dual airbags ensure safety.

Great all-around customer service

When I'm planning to buy/lease a particular car I'm thorough and start scoping the market well in advance. In other words I do my homework. In 6 months of communicating with many dealerships about the Volkswagen Atlas, it took me 20mn over the phone to conclude that I want to do business with Colonial Volkswagen. Want to know why? The focus was to actually answer my questions first and not convince me to come down to the dealership. I was provided a true all-around customer service from the internet sales services over the phone with Dan Goodman (he must have answered a million of my questions including lease return options for my currently leased 2015 Audi A3), to David DiBlasi when I drove down to Colonial as he provided a detailed walk-through of all the features/options of the car and answered all my questions, to finally Jason Giacoppo with whom I was able to reach an agreement at a very competitive price. Keep up the good team work Colonial!

Very Sporty and Exceptional Fuel Economy
by TheDieselFan from Maple Valley

The Volkswagen Golf TDI is one of the best cars I have ever owned. It feels sporty without the hefty price tag that comes with true sports cars. The interior is very nice giving you that rich feeling while driving it. The exterior is very plain and subdued which I like so as to not be flashy. It consistantly gets excellent fuel economy, about 40 MPG on average city/highway combined in my experience. The storage space is surprisingly large for a "small" car and I don't feel cramped inside. This is a great car if you are looking for a reliable daily driver or weekender.
