I had bought several used cars, but this was my first new one. It was easy to find our Atlas on Cars.com, and just as easy to reserve it. The whole experience from internet to facilities to people was great.
Every time I bring my car for service I’m greeted with a smile by Tim my service rep. He makes you feel so welcome and the team is prompt and efficient. Beautiful, comfortable, spotless facilities. Reasonable pricing. Honest assessment and don’t try to add on things that aren’t necessary. I won’t go anywhere else.
Usual bait and switch car ad. Ad stated 21k for a Ford Mustang GT but when contacted the price was 30k. Talked to a sales rep about other cars in inventory and literally every car she sent info on was priced over the budget we discussed.

I went to Carmax on 4th of July. The place was not super packed, so that was great. We had a little 9th month old on tow, and were nervous that it would take us all day to shop. The only thing that took a lot of time was waiting for a sales man. Apparently, the new young guys at the front were more interested in flirting (yes flirting) with each other and playing around than realizing that we needed help or just plainly asking us if we were being helped. That really bothered me, as we wasted 30 mins just sitting dumb. The front desk girl was no help.. she was the one to tell us to sit and wait and then no where to be seen. Finally someone professional and extremely courteous walked by ... the service manager. He quickly apologized for our wait, and brought along Daniel Claudio. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOooooO thankful he did. Danny was professional, kind, humble, hard-working, and just all the way a pleasure to work with. He represented Carmax the way it should be. He took the details of what we were looking for and walked us around to cars that would fit our needs. The second car (nissan pathfinder) was a recommendation from him... and that was the car we bought. Danny if you're reading this... THANK YOU! You're such a great employee and that deserves recognition.
Julián was great. We didn???t have to haggle any prices. You pay exactly what they say your going to pay. He was very honest with us about the cars history. We were very happy with the customer service and the price
Sensor issue for tire pressure - shop searched and found recall that was not yet corrected and fixed that as well. In and out in an hour and a half. Multipoint inspection performed and very detailed and informative

I came into Jim Ellis VW to look at GTIs. My salesman, Gary Mollere, was very friendly and patient in letting me test drive both a Certified GTI and the new 2018 I ended up driving away in. He was happy to find any vehicle I had in mind and waited out in the cold for me to pick the color I liked best (Dark Iron Blue). When I had questions about an accessory, Gary pulled another vehicle off the lot to demonstrate it. We were able to reach a decent deal after little negotiating. When talking to Matt Rock in Finance, I was able to get a maintenance plan that makes sense for me. Gary has kept in touch to ensure my continued happiness. Thanks to all at Jim Ellis.
I had another great experience at Jim Ellis vw. I bought my first vw in 2014 from them. I never had any trouble s. Even though i didn't purchase my current vehicle there i was treated very well and will be going back for any future service needs.i received an emotion modification there and received a loaner vehicle which was very appreciated.
I did not end up buying a car from CarMax. I was helped by a couple of folks that were pleasant and I felt honest. My problem was on the trade in offered, I went to another "traditional" dealership and got 10% more for my car than was offered ($2500). Second issue was in financing side, I was actually ready to buy a car and the financing department fell through, at the other dealership I was able to get financing through a partner bank very easily. I personally would not return here, but it's more because of CarMax itself instead of the individual people which I liked.
My sister had been looking for a car for a long time. The other dealerships did not take her seriously. We pulled up to ALM at the Mall of Ga. and was greeted immediately. She told them what see had seen on line. Ali & Tammy brought us snacks while we waited to see the car. The price on line was the true price. It was such a relief to have a honest salesman. Ali bought our dinner while she purchased her beautiful SRX. It was the least stressful experience I have ever had buying a auto. I would recommend Ali to anyone looking for a vehicle. I will be buying my next car from him.
