Used Volkswagen Passat for sale under $25,000 near me

My salesman, Arif Asis was wonderful,patient, and understanding-even when I bought a car, returned it two days later for a complete refund, and ended up purchasing another car elsewhere. It was an emotional experience for me in that my 2000 Lexus (which I loved) died and I could not afford to buy the same brand. When I called Asis to tell him of my decision to return the car I had purchased from him, he was very understanding. When I actually returned the car for a full refund, the customer service personnel were excellent as well. If I could have found the exact car I wanted at Carmax, I would have bought it there. I bought my Lexus from Carmax in 2005.

Bought it brand new. Overall not bad but has some flaws in ergonomics. Cheap plastic that doesnt stay in place. Had to glue gas tank door plate to prevent it from coming off. Little bit underpowered for a turbo. Windows control in weird place, never can get the right bottom without looking. Transmission always shifts like it cant pick the gear it wants to be in. May upshift and downshift at the same time which feels like you get kicked in the rear.

I purchased my SEL from a dealership with only 13k miles. Great Value with every option you can get in a car the only thing it doesn't come with is a Heads Up Mph Display. The Fender Speakers System with Apple Car Play sounds rich. It has Wifi Bluetooth ,Heated back seats, Trunk Release by Foot, Remote Start, Rain Sensing wipers, auto dim rearview mirror. Door Entry lights auto, unlocks car automatically with a push button start. I wish the engine had more muscle. Overall so far 4.5 Stars

This was one of my favorite cars I test drove, but also one of the base models. It has a huge trunk and tons of room for a car seat or 2. Gets an average of 38-40mpg which is awesome for my driving to and from work.

After over 78000 miles, nothing but regular maintenance. Trip from Atlanta to Ohio, 40 mpg. In town mileage 31-32 mpg. Had a 2014 and it was a great car as well. Paid $16,999 on sale in 2017 on Passat S. Best car in 55 years of driving.

Love this car. Had a hybrid but lithium battery started having problems. I got rid of it. I now have the Passat. Very happy! You’ll Love it!

The Passat is a solid sedan and very reliable. I like the way it drives and feels on the road. The interior is very good size with more backseat and trunk room by far. The R Line is the best

Amazing spot in heart of Fairfax. Went there in a very busy Saturday afternoon for them. The place was packed yet they were able to give my wife and I the attention we could not get in most other dealers including Franchise dealers. To all the "whiners" out there (detailing mechanical issues) "after" 100,000 miles. You don't let ANY brand of car go without "scheduled maintenance at or around 90-100,000 miles. Look at your maintenance book that came with the car. (ALL) cars have an expensive scheduled maintenance plan. If you buy a new 2024 its gonna have a $100-300 inspection and a mechanic bill of $150-175/Hr labor before parts. Some of you sound like you're suppose to be able to buy a perfect car that will never need maintenance. Really??? sheeesh. Buy an extended warranty and a new(er) car. You're the worst kind of driver to review any car. This brand is often nicknamed the "million mile" car bc it can go that far with "scheduled maintenance" of the engine wear items and oil changes. Can your Honda or Hydaui go that far??? I challenge you as a 4 VW car owner from the 2006-2014 to beat this brand of engine on highway mpg and engine longevity. Go do your homework and stop whining. My 2006 VW diesel still going at 325,000 and my 2014 Passat Tdi still going at 147,000 with the engine pistons and rings just getting seated at 90000-100,000 miles. You don't know what that means but as a diesel tech I can tell you it means it just getting its first break in period on its longevity of the engine parts. Farfenugen baby. Go VW!!!

I love my Passat SE. My only complaint: being 6'1" I find it somewhat difficult to get in and out of the car. It sits too low. But once in the car it's most comfortable and a pleasure to drive. The driving assists and adaptive curse are marvelous. I think it's one of the nicest looking cars I've ever owned.

I went to a Criswell Honda with a check from my credit union and the salesman told me i didn't have enough for the car i wanted and told me to get a car that was 1 one older than the one i wanted to trade in. Because Tayo explained to me about increasing my loan check. As a result i was able to purchase a 2008 Honda accord in excellent condition. He sold my husband a car the same day.

Was originally looking for a 2015 Passat diesel. Found a 2017 Passat Sel with 14000 certified miles. Love the elegant look of the big sedan. Front and rear seating is almost limousine like. The ride is excellent. The handling is pretty good too. Pick up from the 1.8 litter 4 is more than adequate. My gas mileage around town is anywhere from 25 on the low end to about 29 when I really watch it. On the expressway it's amazing. I have a brother in Wisconsin and the drive is about 95 miles. I have never averaged less than 40 and as high as 43.4 mpg. I guess I don't need a diesel. Own it 3 years now and I'd recommend one to anyone looking for a great ride with looks and great gas milage to boot. If I have one complaint it would be the touch radio and infotainment center. It is very touchy and doesn't work half the time. It just gets stuck on the last station you were on. It should be recalled as I have read that others also have this issue. Other than that I love my Passat.

The wagon version is simply the best-sized, best-configured car ever offered in the US market. Good legroom and headroom, even in back, great-looking "Bauhaus" simplicity of exterior styling, decent fuel economy and cargo space, plus outstanding visibility to the rear and sides. After 22 years of ownership, I can still recommend our 2001, although it helps that I am able to much of my own work on it.

I bought my 2014 Audi A5 from this dealer, this dealer is one of the few that buys from new dealer trade ins, and not from Auctions, they have all service records and info on the car, the staff was very friendly and from start to finish about 2 hours, Jaffar the manager goes over everything in detail and can give realistic accurate numbers and gets you great financing, I don’t have anything Negative to say- keep up the good work, - John

Where do I start, first Raj responded to my inquiry regarding a car for my son. Upon arriving to the dealership we were greeted by Chris LaPorte. This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had purchasing a vehicle. The managers were friendly, the staff was friendly. I bought the 2012 in 2018 with about 80k on the odometer. Put 20k per year and only had 1 minor maintenance issue (other than wear items ) with a power steering leak that was not an expensive fix. Averaged 30 MPG and had plenty of power and handling to make driving it fun and confident. Really great on long trips. Has a huge back seat and large trunk. I gave it to my college student son and bought another used Passat for us.

Recently before a routine maintenance visit I was a little concerned that I had a warning light for servicing so customer service offered to reschedule my appointment to an earlier date. That was so helpful and many thanks to Osbaldo my service advisor throughout my visit. Whether the wait is within or away from this servicing department, it’s very comfortable and stress free because the updates Safford provide are so helpful and informative. The courtesy you provide throughout is amazing and always a welcoming atmosphere . No matter what the service is, it’s accurate and efficient. Previously I’ve been very happy with my 2 different purchases from Safford. Also I’m still very happy Safford, that years ago (not sure how many years it’s been) you were able to make the move from your previous location which was a little cramped for your servicing 👍🏽

My 2020 Passat SE is a great car. It has a comfortable ride. The 6 speed Tiptronic (automatic) transmission shifts smoothly. Minimal wind noise in the quiet cabin. Does not have auto engine stop/start feature (thank goodness) but does have adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring and rain sensing wipers. I get 31-32 mpg in town and about 36.5 mpg highway. My car insurance bill actually went down with all the safety features. I got my car for $7000 less than MSRP. Big trunk and plenty of legroom in back seat. 600+ mile range between fillups!

This car gets great gas mileage and is comfortable. Love taking it on road trips. Just wish it had heated seats for the winter. Also wish it had a sun roof.

Had a 2015 Passat and now this 2017 SE w/Tech and Light Pkg. Had some frontend noise issues, the same on both the 15 and 17. It was expensive to fix at around 80K miles. My only tech problem is that my passenger side mirror stopped going down to display the curb when I back up. Average mileage is around 26 -27 with 75% city, stop and go traffic. I am pleased with that. My biggest complaint is my wife's complaint, the front seats aren't made for long trips. Her part is the Lumbar support, mine would be the lack of seat cushion. Other than those things, I love my Passat. The little tiny 1.8L is never short of power for me. I live in Texas and I don't feel good about pushing the little motor hour after hour much past 70 -75 mph, so I do get passed a lot, but I make up for it at the gas pumps.

I bought a lease turn-in and it had 31k miles. So far, this car is in mint condition and rides and drives like a dream with a 4 cylinder turbo engine and no problems so far. This is a great looking, very roomy German vehicle with style and passaze. I hope this car last for many years to come.
