Katy Toyota rocks! Here's a shout out to Marci Simpson, who helped us better understand the many options for leasing one of their new cars. She was pleasant and friendly and a delight to work with. Never felt pressured--really appreciated her honesty and patience explaining details of several options we had. She genuinely cared and was committed to meeting our needs and we feel much better knowing what is financially attainable and practical. Past experiences with other car dealerships for me have not been good and none come close to the great service she provided. Hope to lease a Corolla Cross or other hybrid soon as we're working to get our finances in order. Really appreciate her time showing the new hybrids available. We all know that a Swiss Army Knife does many things in an *okay* manner. Knife? There but not too sharp, not too strong. Scissors? Got ‘em. But don’t ask me to actually cut anything more than a very thin string. If I can use the tiny things at all. Saw? It’s there, but please, please don’t tell me it’s gonna help me cut through the tree across my bike path. That’s kind of what I expected in switching from a top-of the line GMC Sierra Pickup to a Touareg. I expected lots of compromise. Boy oh boy was I wrong. A year ago I switched careers away from a 25 year career in single family home building. I have had pickups since I was 20. I never imagined not owning a pickup. But my new career is all corporate - Vancouver appointments, urban parking lots, no hauling anything other than my MacBook. But I still have a 5500 lb travel trailer. My family goes skiing and hiking dozens of times a year. I live on a mountain where the road doesn’t get plowed near soon enough or often enough in winter. I have a utility trailer for my yard work and landscaping needs. What to buy? I like new vehicles, rarely buy used. Test drove a Telluride, Atlas. Nice vehicles, but not enough towing capability. Audi Q7 - very nice, but I have a Porsche Macan S, and I love Porsche interiors and VW interiors, but Audi interior design language doesn’t do it for me. Then my friend started telling me how he tows his big Airstream with a TDI VW Touareg. And how it’s his and his wife’s favourite vehicle ever. Then I read how they are manufactured in Europe, and share a bunch of design with the Cayenne. Then I looked. Last TDIs sold in Canada are a few years old because of dieselgate. Bummer. But then I started looking and found an impeccable black ‘14 TDI R-line Executive. Only 70,000 Kms. I drove it. It is amazing!!! No, it’s not my Macan, but in Sport mode, it belies it’s size. So I bought this beauty last August. It is by far the best skiing, forest road hiking, versatile vehicle I have ever owned. It even tows my big travel trailer with no sweat! Up and down hills, amazing! TDI has the turbo dialed just right so there is always power available and fuel economy is amazing if you want it to be. It’s the Swiss Army knife with no compromise. Also, the interior quality is very high for a non-luxury brand It’s so enjoyable to drive day in and out, does so many things so well, that I am selling my Macan, and can now go for a less practical small sporty car like a Golf R for our second vehicle. The only reason I gave 4/5 for reliability is because I had the Check Engine light come on for the Diesel Particulate Filter, and has to take it in. This is under warranty for pretty much forever though, as all VW diesel emissions systems have been reconditioned due to dieselgate. Everything else is running perfectly, especially for a 7 year old vehicle.

Brought car in for 50K service. Making appointment was easy to do online. Service was performed fine. Only issue was car was not ready at scheduled time of pickup and had to wait for car.

This car brings me joy - pure, joy. It's thought of things I didn't even know possible and it doesn't do it in an overly luxurious / pompous way; though it certainly is luxurious, and in the most pragmatic way... I love its handling, styling, feeling of performance/safety/reliabilty...I had to write this - and I've never reviewed anything before in my life.

I have bought a lot of cars over the years, from dealerships all over the country and this car deal was absolutely the cleanest, smoothest, quickest transaction I have ever been through. The car was exactly how they represented it to be and the price was lower than I could find anywhere in the country. The salesman, Phil Porras was an absolute professional and literally had the paperwork completed and me on my way in less than 30 minutes. I own a 2016 VW Touareg and the experience has been great. I is luxurious inside and very classy outside. No aggressive lines and is very sturdy. Closing the front doors feels solid like closing a refrigerator. It is expensive to maintain and is very good for long trips because it holds a lot of gasoline in its tank. Even we need it in snowy conditions like in Colorado it has excellent traction and could send the whole engine power to one wheel if need it.

Had a great experience here. Brad with sales was really knowledgeable and made the process feel comfortable and easy. They took their time to find me the color jeep I was looking for. Even got it delivered to the dealership from out of town. Hands down best experience I’ve had buying a car! Highly recommend this dealership.

Bought my 2016 Touareg Executive in 2018 with 62,000 miles on it for $19,500. Currently today sitting with 135k. 73,000 miles with almost zero hiccups. Had the windshield replaced last year by Safelite Auto glass and they screwed up the calibration on the windshield camera. But that was all covered by them. It would have been $3500 for a camera and OEM windshield, and the calibration. The other thing that is really disappointing is the LED strip on the head lights went bad on both sides and the head lights are about $650 each. It’s $1200 a head light installed. But besides that we have had zero issues. The ride is great, the interior and exterior design is timeless this SUV will look great in 20 years. The build quality is top notch. Everything you expect from a Germany luxury vehicle. I feel safe in the 6000lb car. It tows my 21 foot boat that weighs 5500lb with little trouble. The best vehicle I have ever owned. Tahoe, Yukon have nothing on this SUV. The V6 gas engine with the 8 speed automatic is a bulletproof combo. That’s why they use this transmission in Porsche, Bentley, and Audi. I choose this over the Q7. Which is the same exact platform. People are always shocked by how nice the tourage is. Very sad they stopped selling it here in the states. Now VW is selling us a subpar Atlas, in my opinion isn’t even in the same league as the tourage.

This is my second one. Vw bought back my 09 TDI for a crazy high price. Bought this in dec 17 when the fix was approved. Sharp handling and gobs of tourqey power make it a blast to drive. Sumptuous interior makes me miss my last car, Mercedes e320cdi, very little. Original Pirelli tires were awful! On michelin defender ltx now, much better.

The car was bought four years ago 50 miles later have had minor problems. The beauty of the trip Tronic transmission in this model has gear oil, for life, not ATF. At 125,000 miles it shifts like new. I’ll probably be buried at it when that time arrives !!

It is our first car in this country, we do not speak very fluent English but all the staff was very patient and resolved all our doubts, in the it out First car here, in the process there were things that we did not know but they helped us and were in contact with us at all times, we are very grateful and in the future if we buy another car we will definitely consult with them.

I came to Carmax looking for to test drive a Nissan Leaf I saw on cars.com. Actually, I tried another dealership first for the same type of car, but that dealer was closed on Sunday. CarMax is open seven days a week. That’s a plus if you, like me, have weekends off. I was able to get my credit pre-approved in just minutes. It turned out the Leaf wasn’t the car for me, but it’s neighbor, a Mercedes B Class was my glass slipper. Once I had decided which car I was buying, the process was really quick and easy. The representative asked a lot of probing questions to help confirm that I had researched the car I was buying (an all electric vehicle), which made me feel like he cared that I got the right car for me. It was a good experience and I’m very happy with my car.

Tranny is dodgy on my 2012 v6...sport mode is worse....this suv needs a v8...sorry. I'm tall - the seats are not that great for me especially on long trips. Bought it 2020 so it was reasonably priced but now I'm looking for a Merc.

Bought the car new and now have 37,000 miles. So far I put on new front brake pads at 36,000 miles and rears still have 40% left. I do not tow anything with the car. Put on new tires at 32000 miles. Car is going to need a new battery soon. Car handles great in stop and go traffic. I get 23 in the city/hwy and on road trips I will get 28MPG @80 MPH on flat areas, and 26.5 on mountain interstates. Car is comfortable for 4 adults with great cargo space. TDI engine is great and ith will use 1/2 a quart of oil between oil changes. These engines are good for 200,000-300,000 miles. The only Diesel engine that is better is the Mercedes Benz. SUV handles great in the snow with Blizzacks on the car. Plenty of traction and handles very well in winter driving areas. This is my second TDI, first one was bought out by VW during buy backs.

Recently got a vehicle from this dealership and I can tell you as an experienced car buyer, cars there are well picked, I looked what was out there at other places and it wasn't even close. The lady that works the office is awesome she is just on the top of everything.

This vehicle is amazing. It is sturdily built, and it is comfortable, strong, fast, and great looking. The price for this car compared to a Porsche Cayenne makes it an incredible value. So much so that this is the last Touareg in the US market so that it wouldn't compete against their Atlas versions.

I found the perfect Porsche Cayenne at this dealership. Even though I had to fly to Cincinnati to pay for it and drive it back to Arkansas it was worth it. My sales person, Isaiah, was a pleasure to work with and the car is just wonderful!

This car has plenty of leg room and height. Very nice ride, quiet and great on gas, fuel tank has 550 miles per tank!! Great MPG at average of 22-26

I’ve purchased 2 cars from Germain VW and each time I have found the experience to be generally straightforward. I think they are the best VW dealership in Columbus. They are low pressure and in the end they seem to want to work with a buyer to get a sale done. They are a car dealer so always trying to find a deal that is profitable for them - but in my experience they seem willing to consider alternative thinking to get a buyer into a car.

I’ve only owned my TDI for a week now, but it’s very comfortable, it gets amazing Fuel economy for an SUV, and it’s really a joy to drive. I love this thing.

I've owned my 2011 Touareg TDI 3.0L V6 Exec since 2013. We bought it with 98k miles on it. Tires are the only major expense $300+ for decent rubber. VW gave us $9k+ for keeping it throughout Dieselgate. The ECU started acting up last year around 245,000 miles. Had to find a donor ECU in the junk yard ($345). Took 9 months to get the ECU and have it coded to the rig. Once the ECU was replaced, no problems. The total I've spent on non-wear and tear items for this Touareg is less than $1000. Extremely reliable car - and the diesel power plant is a beast. 22-24 mpg.

Although I have owned this 2012 VW Touareg TDI LUX SUV for only a few months, I can say that it rides and performs like no other SUV I have owned and I have had a lot of Eddie Bauers, Mountaineers and Jeeps and a Lexus. Plus I have had a lot of sedans top to bottom. The feeling of power and confidence in the Touareg is amazing. It seems to like going up hills with acceleration and no sweat. It has a smooth transmission. Power is no problem and fuel efficiency is great too. The real leather seating in the LUX is truly deluxe. The seat position controls and lumbar are good. Although the seats have a 3 person memory, it would be better if they had an automatic entry and exit positions. This vehicle should have auto unlock or touch unlock and keyless ignition. Also the vehicle does not support a remote starter so if you want one installed they have to wire a key under the dash to make it work. Some of the feature controls could be easier understand how they operate. Finally, although I love the Touareg, it was a good thing I bought a CPO warrantied vehicle. During the first month of ownership, it was in the shop twice for almost a week each time to correct things that were not properly done with the emissions recall. Great handling, great ride and it makes me feel good to be behind the wheel.

This SUV is amazing. It is fully loaded and the panoramic sunroof was the WOW factor that sold me. It rides so smoothly that even Ohio highways seem seamless. I’m still learning my way around the touchscreen computer and I’ll definitely need the manual to direct me because there is more to it than I am used to. Overall it is the pure luxury we were looking for since we are getting older.

This was the fourth dealership that I had been to in less than a week. Ke’Andre came outside to greet me with open arms the minute I drove up. I explained that the other dealerships were not as warming. He took everything I said about the less than par experiences from the other places I had been to and turned my car buying experience into an incredible one. I bought a 2005 VW Touareg V8 in December 2010. I have no had it nearly 12 years. I do basic maintenance brakes, wear parts, and oil changes myself and I have an OBDII tester to help me with basic diagnostics. As such it has gone to the shop once when I just got it because it had a fuel tank evaporation line that was cracked and generated an engine check light. It has since passed inspection without problems for the past 12 years. At 17 year and relatively low 135,000 miles a few things are bad. The AC compressor has failed a year ago, it sometimes has a tendency to hop because its central differential stepper motor binds, and the front left HID light has some problem where it does blink on and off with a light failure dash alert. Altogether it has been an extremely comfortable car with pretty good reliability. It also hard on gas with 12-14 mpg in heavy urban traffic and 17-19mpg on highways. It is an excellent towing machine with nearly 8000lbs towing capacity. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who has minimal mechanical abilities as dealer visits are very expensive.

Great car looks amazing inside and out handles well. entertainment system has a nice display and neat features. Overall great for off-road and city driving.
