I have been attempting to purchase a used car for a great deal for the past three months. I now have (unwanted) firsthand experience with the liars of the used car dealer industry in this area. Jeb, however, at Maple Leaf Motors in Spanaway, WA, was immediately responsive to my financial needs as well as my desire to purchase a vehicle that will hopefully last me far into my senior years. He let me test drive a couple of vehicles, and has offered to let me test drive a more that I have my eye on. He has been honest, up front, about everything, and I am relieved. Also, he has not been pushy either, but rather has just let me decide what I like or don't like. It's something I truly value in people who sell. And, he has been patient with me, which has eased my apprehension of even looking for a car! The back up crew had each vehicle ready for me to drive and made sure there was fuel in the tanks--so worrying about gas turned out to be the last thing on my mind, unlike many of the dealerships I had been to. Although a purchase is still in progress, I feel that, FINALLY, there is a dealership that actually cares about what is important to me. If I can find a vehicle there that fits my high expectations, I definitely will buy from them.

The car was fun to drive. With a 5cyl engine, it definitely have me the get up I needed. I didn't have much problems with her besides changing the clutch out twice. But you shouldn't have to deal with that problem if you take it to peyote who know what they are doing. My car had a couple of accidents but you would never have been able to tell. The vehicle was repaired and drove like new. If I wanted another coupe, I definitely would buy again.

If you need a vehicle get hold of these guys. No pressure sales. Gives good information about their vehicles. Maj was professional and was understanding what we needed. I will call him any time. 2016 e-Golf SEL bought use 2yr old for 16K with 28k mi. Now 10/2023 with 63k miles. Two tires an a bunch of wipers. Fun, handles well, cheap charging costs (4.2/kWh), 5.3 mi/kWh, practical layout. No updating the navigation, not the best visibility but great backup camera. Not thrilled about the defrost wires in the windshield but it is fast. One foot driving is great! Like a poor man's Model 3.

Finally we found a car!! After such a long search, Cars R Us was able to help us out by finding us such a great car for my daughter, and it was like new! With 72,000 on the dash, I'm still driving my little white dream machine. This is my second review, and I cannot believe my car is a 2008 , 15 years old. The outside is immaculate; however, the interior is showing its wear and tear. The headliner is falling, the material on my arm rest has come unglued, but guess what? It starts and still drivers like a dream. Not sure why the windows fog up before I get going on fall/winter mornings, but outside of those two issues, I'd buy this car all over again. I read somewhere where someone has 300k on their dash for this car -- guess what, maybe this will be the last car I own. (smile).

i love this car, mine is the tornado red and i have put machined gold rims on it with a slightly wider tire for more road grip. i definitely recommend wider tires on this as the stockies just do not hold the road like a wider thick tire (and it looks awesome so). i have had to replace the heater blower motor resistor, easy fix took about 30 mins and the piece is 20 bucks. i also had a kick in the gut with the notoriously bad water pumps on these cars. it took a few hours, some special tools, a lot of patience, and $400 for the pump. if you buy this car beware you will have to replace the water pump at around 100k they just were not quality stock so they get broken seals and what not. you can still drive it with a bad water pump, i don't recommend, but be prepared to put coolant in it like gas as it will just keep leaking out. enough with the bad, i gave this car a high review for a reason, smoothest ride i have ever had, steers like a boss--i mean seriously no car holds curves like this one, the interior is unmatched it is so beautiful and the plain seats are unique and give great back support. i hate that the center console lacks so much storage but it has a decent sized dash to make up for it. overall this car has insane performance, holds value, and has a unique and unmatched overall look on the inside and outside. do not hesitate to buy this, the only downside is the water pump.

I bought my golf new at the end of 2016 and would have kept it much longer if it had not been totaled in an accident. The few little issues I had were covered under the initial warranty (coolant leak, trunk leak). Nothing else other than normal maintenance things like brakes and tires up to 81,000 - that's as far as I can speak to. I took good care of it, did the VW service things for the most part and I have no doubt it would have lasted to 200K or beyond. It looked cool and was fun to drive. I had the S manual. I enjoy driving and had a tiny regret about not getting the Wolfsburg edition (faster engine, slightly better options like heated seats and sun/moon roof).

Stopped in to check out a 99 Vette. Saw an ad online-wife and i just really wanted to check out the color, as we hadn't seen a pewter color up close. So decided to make the drive, expecting a slew of slimy off market used car salesman to try and hard sell us. WOW-totally wrong. Worked with Gene, and he was honestly one of the best salespeople we have every worked with (and we have bought quite a few different new cars)-totally no pressure-knowledgeable about the car. Let my wife and i both take the vette out for a test drive. When we came back with the car, we told him that we really wanted a stick instead of an automatic, he was totally polite and no pressure. think i would actually come back if they had the right vette at the right price (and i am a total for sale by owner kind of guy, so this says a lot!) VERY pleasant experience. Would recommend for sure. Gene was great :)

This may be influenced by the fact that I hated my last car (chevy sonic), but I love my pre-owned Golf. It’s a Wolfsburg edition— which I understand to mean it just has more bells and whistles than usual. The engine is exceptionally quiet and it drives so smoothly, and accelerating is especially easy and quick. I’m a huge fan of the cargo space as well. The only downside is the minimal leg room in the back seat, but I’m not usually driving with multiple passengers so it’s not a big problem for me.

The car meets a perfect speed standard for specific drivers, if you want power when you need to pass somebody or just got a nice long road you want to open it up on, you can do it, very well if I must say, the 2.0t is a amazing motor overall, so many different things you can do with it power wise, just overall a great balance car, butttt your back seat is not the best in a 2 door, which is what I have lol, oh well

Today 6/25/17 My wife & I purchased a car from these guys. To be honest I was a little concerned as I have always bought our vehicles from dealerships (Ford, Kia etc) But We are so glad We gave our business to these guys It was without a doubt the best car buying experience EVER!! Our salesman name is Roy, (I feel like a idiots because I kept calling him Ray & he was such a good sport about it) Anyway Roy wanted to put our intrest before anything.. I have many times been at dealerships feeling pressured & uneasy.. not here the handful of workers here were great to do business with, even the guy Branden who did the finalizing paperwork was great to do business with.. GTI's do almost everything well. Economy, performance, flexibility, holds value, road car, back roads car, safety, comfort, feature-laden and now almost $10K less than the price of the average new vehicle. Two minor flaws IMO. All GTI's should have Golf R climate controls. Standard controls too confusing and fussy. Rather set it and forgot it. DSG is "still funky after all these years." Don't get me wrong, the lightning quick shifts and in-traffic ease are compelling, but DSGs can be clunky and feel strange at low speed and can't yet read all of your intentions correctly, thus some odd decisions/shifts on occasion. Not a fault, just a thing. Otherwise brilliant. GTI is among the contenders for "best" mass-produced combustion engine car of all time. Yes, that good. If shopping the used market, I would strongly suggest one try to get a Performance Package car. Much better brakes that won't need brake service as often and stop better. Also, the electronically controlled differential aids both traction and handling.

Thoroughly reliable diesel automobile. Steady fwy driving will get you 45 mpg. Nice not to have to change spark plugs. Likely not a great choice in subzero weather.

I hate buying cars but thank God I found LKL Motors! Easiest, most stress free experience I have ever had! They do not hound you or follow you around on the lot. Very easy to work with. I bought a car with a broken windshield and LKL Motors replaced it for me. Great customer service as well. I highly recommend this place.

I have owned this 2016 Golf R manual since December, 2015. My previous car was a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3, a great hot hatch in it's own right. Right away I knew I had to tune the Golf R to make it feel faster than the Speed 3. APR Stage 1 accomplished that in spades. Not satisfied, I went Stage 2 which made the car absolutely bonkers (I did have to upgrade the clutch to a Southbend Stage 3 racing clutch). I have had three years on the Stage 2 and have had zero problems with it. Unrelated issues have included rear differential oil leak, window switch modulation, and misfiring due to bad plugs and coils. All except the latter were fixed under warranty. There is also a problem with the backlighting of the speedo/tach/fuel/coolant temp gauge that hasn't been fixed but other displays are fine. The car at just under 54K miles remains a blast to drive and very easy to live with.

Non stop exhilaration with zero down time...none. Easy to maintain and I've never been disappointed. Thank you Volkswagen. Currently at 97,256 miles and the brake pads show years of future service. Never disappointing..

Wasn’t feeling very good let him know that up front so he made sure all the paperwork was completed before I got there to further speed up the process. Finance was great as well. We were a few dollars off the estimated price and were more than willing to work with me on getting what I wanted into the loan while hitting the original payment. Great guys!!

Had mine since new 88,000 fun miles on it. superby reliable. Fantastic handling, comfort for long long long drive 6 hours, and great MPG...super quick, it really does everything excellently. Out of 17+ VWs since 1987 this is the best one yet...fun personified, tracks at speed perfectly, solid grip in all weather conditions. Solid, tight, really well done car. Interior layout is ergonomic excellence. of course 6 speed manual, it's best, control and in connection with the drive.
