I'm surprised by the review that said there was no follow through. We too were an out of state buyer. The internet based salesperson emailed me regularly, responded quickly, set up a visit and confirmed the visit over the course of the week. She lined us up with a gracious salesperson and he and the sales manager worked hard to make sure they met our numbers.

Really loved my Volvo but just too many issues

I bought a 2016 XC 90 T6 Momentum new from the dealer in Jan 2016. I loved it so much in the beginning. It was smooth and quiet and I knew it was one of the safest cars out there. I have 3 kids and we used it as our primary car for family vacations, visiting family out of state and local everything. I am a true soccer mom. But gradually over the al most 3 years we had it it was one thing after another. Some small some major. Tons of recalls and updates. I love over an hour away from the dealer and they were great about getting me a loaner car. But I basically took a full day and sometimes two out of my week to drive it there, wait on it or go do some shopping for a day while it was fixed or updated. Several times I had to leave it for more than one day. Air conditioner never worked good. Was super loud. Defrost only worked on max and was too noisy. Engine would skip out and had the spark plugs serviced or replaced multiple times. The most annoying was this rattle in the front passenger door that sounded like something was loose in there. When you at in that seat it made yo nuts on a longer trip. I asked to have that fixed and after checking it out for a few hours they said after 12k miles that wasn't covered and its would be my own bill. This was my husbands last straw. But I still tried to hang on.IT also had a leaky coolant hose once while my husband was over an hour away at a soccer game with kids and it broke down on the side of the road and had to be towed. I had to go get him and we wasted an entire day. the Biggest issue was the engine light came on multiple times. Each time I would take it in and a few times they said it needed spark plugs and also that they were awaiting a service update from Volvo and actually didn't know how to fix it! while the light was on the engine continued to perform less and less powerful and finally the warranty went off at 50k miles and I was at daughters senior photo shoot an hour away and it smelled awful of smoke and burning. I had to take it back to dealer and they found a hose was leaking coolant again. But engine light was still on and I didn't feel safe driving it. I wrote to Volvo Corp. and complained that now I that the light was on all the time how do I know when a new problem arises that it isn't a new issue? and it isn't covered under warranty anymore so it had to be fixed. They replaced fuel injectors spark plugs AGAIN and said they did a lot of work on it and it was covered. Which I was happy for. I had a new loaner for almost 2 weeks. My husband and I were just over it and finally traded it in on an Audi Q7 this weekend. They need to get this car improved. Maybe the 2017 or 2018 models are better.

Now i am not normally one to write a review, but the service at Volvo cars of Queens was just so absolutely pronominal i had too! My 2003 XC90, which i have owned since new has been like a literal family member to me and my kids and even our dog! When the check engine light came on and the car began to run incredibly poor and the transmission felt like it was slipping me and my wife thought this might be the end of probably one of our dearest family members. We had the car towed into the service center where the valets were quick to greet me and get me written up. After i was introduced to our service adviser, Tammi, who assured us our vehicle was in good hands. About a week later, i found myself in the area and decided to check in and see what the scoop was on our car, To my surprise, Tammi and the tech working on out car, Joe were both at the counter discussing my car. Turns out they were about to call me and i had walked in at just the right time. This is the part i love more then anything, i was able to speak directly to the tech, who came off as very well informed and articulate in how he spoke about our car and Volvo's as a whole. Now the tech, Joe, was quick to explain our issue to be a failed TCM computer for the transmission. He told us that it was common with our cars to see them fail due to heat a moisture getting inside and that the new one he would be installing would be and updated part to prevent this from ever happening again in the future! I was ecstatic! not just because what i thought was a bad issue was just a 600 dollar fix, but that i felt comfortable with the way it was explained. I got my car back 100 percent working like a new machine. Im glad i had the pleasure to deal with both Joe and Tami. i also ave an oil change coming up on the horizon and i cant wait to be back! Thank you again guys!!! you guys rock!

I was on a search for a new vehicle at a great price. I am a 28-yr. old male from South Jamaica Queens NY. So, Volvo wasn???t what I really looking for. But it was a black Friday morning and I was strolling along looking for a dealership. 0700 every dealer on the block was CLOSED every one including Volvo, but when I looked inside through the window a man inside seen me and said to hold on while I open the door. Now what he said sold me. He said to me " We are closed now but I will help you anyway." I replied " No thanks I???m not looking to buy" I know I lied but you know he's a salesman. He said to me "It???s okay our doors are always open feel free to help yourself to some coffee and tea and look around." That right there sold me a car. Him knowing that I may not be a sale and still keeping his doors open as well as providing me with service told me that they weren???t only about the sale but they were about the experience. I spoke to a salesman named Danny great man, very knowledgeable of the vehicle and as well as the incentives. After he showed me the cars and its features I ended up leasing a fully loaded 2018 XC90 Inscription. After speaking to the finance manager Milan, I got a better deal than any other Mercedes, Lexus, Infinity dealership gave me for a bigger and better car! I surely will recommend this dealership to my friends and family!!

This is our 4th Volvo. All three of the previous Volvos were great cars and this one is even better. We have not experienced any problems with this car. It is well made! We feel safe and secure when driving this car. The safety and convenience features are great.

Had to travel over 4 hours from NH to look at a Land Cruiser they had. I arrived late (my fault), but the sales team was very responsive and focused on my needs even though they were very busy that day. Tom Forte did a great job even though he wasn't that familiar with the vehicle (not expected). He allowed me all the time I wanted to look at it, then they listened when I was negotiating for the best price on my trade. I was impressed how they worked really hard to get all the paperwork done at the end of the day on a Friday, so I could leave with the vehicle and get home, even getting it fully registered for me from another state. They even called my insurance company and made all the arrangements while I was dashing off to the bank to get a check. I wish all car dealers were this nice to work with!

Going through the process of buying a car sucks. If you actually enjoy it, then I can only assume you like other fun things like paying taxes, unclogging toilets, and papercuts. I was perfectly content with my awesome VW TDI until the whole Dieselgate scandal went down. Even then, I would've bought another VW with my buyout money, until I saw this Ford Fusion Sport. Awesome car, but was it enough for me to switch? It was when I saw the listing from Prestige Volvo for a used, 2017. First thing I noticed is that is was the lowest priced 2017 Ford Fusion Sport on a nationwide search using one of the car apps. The other thing was that it had all the options. Ok, it doesn't have the Active Park Assist, where it parks the car for you. That's fine since I've known how to park a car for years now. But all the bells and whistles, and the lowest price? Had to be a catch somewhere. I sent an email asking for more info, and Tina (AKA Lady Fantastic) was in touch with me almost immediately. She took the time to do TWO video walkarounds of the car. She showed every inch of the exterior and interior, twice. Two times. She did this in a walking boot, having sustained a foot injury while saving some nuns from a group of muggers using her kickboxing skills. Oh, it's true. The listing also had the Carfax readily available to inspect. I asked her to send me a breakdown of the total price, all in. Very standard stuff. Taxes, title, tags, and the $399 processing fee was super reasonable (I've seen dealers with a processing fee of $1000+) No catches. Just a great price, on what was looking like a great car. Savvy me decided to negotiate for the next scheduled maintenance to be done before I agreed to buy. Tina called me and said that it had already been done, AND they put new brakes on its front and rear. I'll just shut up now and hand you my money. We agreed to meet up on a Wednesday evening. Delays caused me to get there a little before 9 pm. They close at 8, and although I am certain everyone wanted to go home after a long day, Tina and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and inviting. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and driving my Ford Fusion home. I had told Tina the day before that after I picked up the car, I was driving straight to White Castle for celebratory burgers. And guess what? She actually plugged it into the GPS so when I fired up the car for the first time, it was ready to take me right there. Yep. Oh, did I mention that I came up from the Washington D.C. area to buy this car? I did because that was the level of service and care I received from Tina and the rest of Prestige Volvo. Let me also mention that they are reimbursing my taxi fare from the airport, AND when I arrived, Tina told me that she accidentally did the calculations wrong and she overquoted me by $90. Most dealers would keep their mouths shut and pocket the money. Not Tina. Top notch, and high class all the way. If you're in the market for a new car and are within a reasonable distance from East Hanover, NJ, take my advice and contact Prestige Volvo and ask for Tina. If you don't, then you aren't very smart and I can't help you. The car's amazing by the way.

My wife and I don't enjoy shopping for a new car. In fact, we usually buy a car and keep it so well maintained that we don???t need to visit car showrooms often. However, our experience with Ron Landstrom at Prestige Volvo was very different from beginning to end. Some background; we initiated contact online and the web liaison, Irene, reached out to us the same day. I explained what type of vehicle we were interested in buying and she provided us a daily inventory update via email. I had to reschedule several test drives and Irene accommodated the rescheduling, no problem. FYI, we were trading in our 2013 Infiniti JX 35 and Prestige provided a sight unseen trade-in valuation. Our Infiniti was in excellent condition and the dealership honored the sight unseen valuation. I went in alone for a test drive on a Wednesday because, if my wife doesn???t like the salesperson, it will kill any potential deal. Ron and I talked for about 20 minutes and I prayed that my wife wouldn???t hate him. Before a test drive, I told Ron I would be right back. My wife and I returned an hour later and Ron was very busy and fortunately very good at multitasking. He arranged several test drives, then answered all questions clearly. Ron wasn???t pushy, which is key with us. Afterwards we went home to talk it over. My wife liked Ron Landstrom. She said he was a consummate professional. I agreed. We leased-- which I have never done before--a Volvo XC90. Ron managed all the financing info by phone and we picked up the vehicle two days later. Seamless. Also thank you Pat! We felt like we were treated fairly, respected as people and that our business was appreciated. Don???t ever change!

I've been a loyal Volvo owner for over twenty years. The office admin & sales personnel that I interacted with (Todd Garno - sales) made my purchasing decision an easy one. They were outstanding & I was extremely pleased with the value of my 2012 Volvo S60. However, an unexpected problem did come up three weeks after my purchase. One of the cells in my car battery went bad making it impossible to start the car by simply turning on the ignition. Instead I needed several jump starts over the course of several days to start the car. When I brought the car in to to Prestige Volvo (the dealership) to have this issue rectified, Todd (my salesman) interceded on my behalf to ensure that I received a new battery at no cost even though the was no extended warranty coverage for the battery. This service was certainly appreciated!

I leased a 2016 S60 to replace my 2013 S60 (lease was ending). I live about 40 miles away from Prestige, so at first it wasn't my go-to dealership. But after my local dealership, along with the one where I leased my 2013 S60 pretty much refused to deal with me until my lease was up I turned to Prestige. And what a great turn of events it turned out to be! First, I reached out to Jay Rosen (who worked on my car before) and he replied right away saying: wait for a call, we'll take care of you. Then, less than 30 minutes after, Matt Haiken called me and we made a deal on the phone in less than 10 minutes. That was 4 months before my lease was up. The car I wanted needed to be a special order, because I wanted certain packages/options that are just never available together otherwise. Fast forward about 3+ months after the order - and I was picking up my car. The process was smooth with no surprises (no extra charges, no hassle - the payment was exactly what we had agreed upon with Matt 3 months before). Matt did the paperwork himself (about 10-15 minutes overall, because I spent some time deciding which protection plan to buy). Matt introduced me to Ron Landstrom, who took care of everything else: lease return, insurance information confirmation, plates, etc. All in all, this was the most pleasant experience I've ever had buying a car. The most important thing for me during this whole process was that for the first time I dealt with people who knew the product inside out. I respect that a lot. And everyone kept their word every step of the way. There's no question that the next Volvo lease I get, after this one ends, will be from Prestige. P.S. Dealing with Matt was so great, that I'll be considering getting a Kia (his other dealership) to replace my Hyundai Sonata in a couple of years. Just so I could deal with him, because I know it'll be a great deal and a very pleasant experience.

I purchased a pre-owned S60 which was in predestine condition. Steve Badian (sales) gave me all the information I needed to know about the car like carfax and such. We took the S60 for a test ride at which point I had a few questions about the specifications of the car like HP, torque and transmission. He said he did not have the exact answers for me but knew who did. When we got back I meant one of the tech's who answered all my questions. Then Steve and I discussed cost........ Wow He made my day. He hit my price mark perfectly. I took the S60 home but a few days later I realized the bottom splash guard was missing. I called Steve and explained that since they are over an hour away it was going to be difficult for me to get up there again and have them install it. To my surprise he made arrangement's with Jay Rosen (service manageer) to bring the splosh guard to my home since I said I could install it. Now what dealer and team does that these days. I rate these guys number 1 on my list. And since my experience was so great with them I going to see them first when I replace ML-320 with a XC90 sometime in the fall. Thanks guys Lee A McKinley

Great exterior and interior design. Comfort. Economic, beautiful lights, autonomous driving feature excellent. Safety features excellent. Dash board and console excellent. Space excellent. 4 cylinder twin turbo with nice acceleration.

Last night my brakes on my XC-90 started making a noise when I stopped sharply. I was very concerned as my daughter and I were going on a road trip in 2 days. At 7 AM I called Prestige Volvo. My husband said no one will pick up that early. Not only did the service manager Jay pick up the phone, he said bring it right in! I was at the dealer by 7:45. By 8:00 AM I was in a loaner. I made it to work on time and am picking up my fully serviced car this afternoon. Now my daughter and I can go on our road trip with no worries. We have always had great service at Prestige but today when I REALLY needed them, Jay and team were there. Thanks so much!

I had a great experience buying my CPO 2013 XC60. I had been this dealership prior with my father, years ago, and we were basically snubbed the three times we went. He had wanted to purchase an XC90. However, upon researching for my "new" car, I came across the XC60 this dealership had in stock. It had just about everything I wanted in it, and loaded with safety features. I was a little apprehensive at first, remembering our past experiences, but I took a shot in the dark and emailed the dealership through AutoTrader (where I had found the car). Rebecca DiFede responded back to me within an hour or so to answer my questions and provided great customer service. I was very surprised to get a response so quickly. After corresponding with Rebecca, I made an appointment to discuss the vehicle with a salesman and find out more about it, including pricing. I went to my appointment and was met by Ron Landstrom as my salesman. He was extremely nice, respectful, funny, and knowledgeable. I didn't even really have to ask any questions because he answered them before I was able to ask. He went over every detail and feature of the car, and everything about the CPO warranty and certification process. The test drive was nice, as Ron had planned a nice route where I could really drive the car for a good amount of time. It also turned out at his previous company, Ron was the representative that my father's company bought items from. We had no idea, until talking with Ron and finding out his sales background. Small world. The buying process was quick and painless and PJ Lee and Ron helped me get financing. We were offered a $300 discount on my car, which was lovely, as well as a $300 discount an extra warranty that covered the tires of my car, among other things. This was my first time purchasing my own car and I had such a great experience here. It's very clear that things have changed (for the better) since the last few times my father and I went here. It looks like they cleaned house and got new management, and they did a great job picking their staff. Everyone is kind, smiles, and says hello to you when you walk in. It was a completely different experience this time around. I loved it. Ron made sure to tell me that if I needed anything, or had any questions, to let him know and he'd be there for me. I love my Volvo, and I'm so happy to have gotten it from a Dealership who cares about their clients.

Tire Problem Resolved with Great Results

I suffered a flat tire several months back and had to be towed to Prestige Volvo for tire replacement. I did not realize at the time that the failure was due to wear and the other tires were equally as worn, and I soon suffered another tire failure (on a different wheel). With the second failure I was on the way to a funeral with a full car of family members and had no choice but to hobble to the nearest tire repair facility where I bought 3 new Good Year tires (the only tires the shop had on hand that fit my vehicle, a 2014 S60 R-Design) so I could quickly continue the trip to the funeral. Unfortunately, these did not match the original Pirellis that came with the car or the replacement Pirelli Volvo had already installed. This left me with mismatched tires that affected the ride quality of the vehicle and, perhaps worse, greatly diminished traction because the Good Year tires were not the brand Volvo chose to pair with this car. This car is performance-oriented and the Good Years didn't hold up. As I became more frustrated by the tires, I wrote to Prestige Volvo explaining why I was disappointed. Had I been aware at the time of the first tire failure that all four tires were equally worn and would soon fail I would have replaced all four then and there instead of waiting and ultimately having to replace the other three in an emergency-type situation. I was not sure what type of response I would receive. I was very impressed when Jay Rosen, Prestige's Service Manager, called me very promptly and explained that he had read my letter and understood my frustration. He offered to replace two of the tires with the factory-specified Pirellis if I would cover the cost of the third, leaving me with four proper tires (I already had one from the first flat tire replacement). I accepted his offer and arranged for the service the next day. The car was done in the very early afternoon and Jay called me to tell me everything was complete and that he had decided to cover the cost of all three tires as good will from Volvo. This was obviously great news. I purchased the car from this dealer and have continued to go to Prestige. This was the first disappointing experience I had, and Jay and Prestige Volvo immediately turned the situation around, leaving me completely satisfied. The experience was excellent - I'm very grateful and would absolutely recommend this dealer. Although this was a service experience, my original experience purchasing the vehicle was equally as good.

Will come back again and again! Both cars that I've purchased there have been everything I've wanted and more. I've always gotten a great deal and have been more than satisfied. He is so easy to worth with and has always gone above and beyond to make it effortless in buying a car.

We absolutely love the styling and design of the all new XC 90. After owning several of them in the past my wife will drive nothing else. Unfortunately some of the same flaws with the old designer still there. Wonderful factory warranty we have had it in the shop multiple times and of course they cannot figure out what is wrong. If the car sits for more than a week or so without being driven the battery is dead. The navigation shows we are driving in the middle of water or field often has no idea where we actually are. Again we took it into the mobile dealer and had several issues addressed these two issues Are still the same. Very disappointed in a 60+ thousand dollar car
